This studio out the back of caths house was a pleasure to stay in. The clever design makes use of a small space and the decore was stylish. Cath treated us with her homemade treats which were a real welcomed surprise. We enjoyed looking out onto her veggie patch, the morning sun lit upnthe big photo of clouds on the wall and was lovely to wake to every morning. Highly recommended.
Jun 27, 2019We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Cath's Garden Studio and we're already looking forward to a return visit. The studio itself is light and bright, as well as clean and comfortable. Cath was a welcoming and attentive hostess who was not only knowledgeable and helpful with all our queries, but provided a wonderful breakfast hamper with home made goodies that really made us feel welcome. The garden setting and chooks only added to our experience. We loved the location and enjoyed exploring the adjoining areas such as Newtown and Surry Hills. Thoroughly recommended.
Jun 27, 2019What a wonderful experience staying in The Garden Studio. We arrived and were greeted by the very friendly and attentive Cath - who introduced us to the chickens on the way to the studio. As soon as we stepped inside we felt comfortable. The decor is modern, quirky and stylish, there is a lovely area to sit and watch television, a user friendly kitchenette, a comfortable bed and a clean and modern bathroom. Cath provided us with a lovely array of breakfast and snack options and she even baked a delicious loaf of fresh bread which she left at our doorstep the following morning along with a newspaper. There is a large collection of DVD's to watch and books to read and the studio is in a quiet location with plenty parking - also within easy walking distance of public transport. I highly recommend The Garden Studio to anyone looking for a private, convenient and comfortable place to stay. My partner and I will definitely be returning in the future.

Jun 27, 2019My boyfriend and me are a young french couple who stayed 1 week in the lovely Cath's studio. We really enjoyed this staying for our first booking on airbnb. Cath is a very smiling and nice person. The studio is fully adjust to feel like home. The basket for breakfast is really complete and everything is thinked that we lacked nothing. Moreover it was a pleasure to be able to taste the delicious biscuits and bread, all home made by Cath. The bus stations and shops are close and there are only 15 minutes walking to go to the station Petersham. I really recommend Cath's studio !

Jun 27, 2019This garden studio is absolutely comfortable and private but also very clever in the way it uses space. Cath is a generous host providing muesli, home made muffins and fresh eggs from her very own chooks..wow. I was only able to enjoy 2 nights but I hope to stay again soon.

Jun 27, 2019The Garden Studio was wonderful. It had everything we needed (and more!) and it is a beautiful space. Cath has thought of everything, from a change of towels mid-week to shampoo, cereal choices, and even a homemade loaf of bread for our 6-night stay. We felt truly spoilt. Marrickville is being hailed as the "new Surry Hills" and at the number of quality cafes and food stores nearby was just astounding. We rented a car, and we were really happy with the easy (and free) parking on the street too.

Jun 27, 2019We felt so at home at The Garden Studio, it's a pity we didn't have more time to thoroughly enjoy this cosy space. We loved the ginger biscuits, & freshly baked bread, that Cath handed to us in the morning, still warm from the oven. Cath was approachable & helpful when we needed info on how to get around, but at the same time, gave us the space we needed. Her chickens too, were rather welcoming! A joy to talk to; we appreciated the short exchanges & enjoyed listening to her share bits about herself :) A gem of a place!
Jun 27, 2019The studio is lovely space and convenient; small kitchen with almost everything, confortable beds, outside table, TV and WiFi service. We found many kind of cereal, jams, fresh eggs, fruits, chocolate, and etc. in the kitchen. Cath gave us a freshly-baked bread in the first morning, and we could enjoy breakfast with the table in the garden. There is a park near here and it is quiet area. The studio is very well designed and has a very comfy split level bedroom. It's located in a quiet neighbourhood and close to train and bus stops. Cath was extremely lovely and helpful making sure we were comfortable and happy whenever we crossed paths in the garden. The fresh bread was amazing to wake up to on our first morning and the food provided really helped us in keeping our spending costs down. I will most definitely return to the Garden Studio next time I am having a little getaway in Sydney!

Jun 27, 2019Our stay at the Garden Studio was perfect! Cath baked fresh bread and we had breakfast everyday with all the cereals, eggs, vegemite, nutella, etc. she also provided. The studio is small but cozy and she has taken care of all kind of details, we found anything we needed! Cath also was very nice helping us with some directions and printing maps for us, thank you for a very nice stay!
Jun 27, 2019My mom and I had a fantastic time. Cath is an absolutely wonderful host and the place is lovely, super clean, relaxing and you get your privacy. Street parking is free! Do note that climbing the ladder might be slightly tricky, specially if you are slightly tipsy. Ha ha. Very happy with my stay and highly recommend the cute garden studio. Both my mom and I had a great time in Sydney.
Jun 27, 2019I spent one whole week at Cath' studio and I loved everything about it! Cath is a very warm and generous person, nothing can beat her big breakfast hamper and the delicious bread she's providing you with. She even brought me some freshly baked muffins over! There is a direct bus which takes you to the city within 25-35 minutes, depending on traffic. The studio is in a quiet neighborhood, it's perfect to relax after a busy day in the city. Why I'd recommend you stay: * Lots of privacy, with your own entrance... * Cath is a very generous, understanding, and thoughtful host, and easy to contact. We particularly loved her guides about where to eat in the local area. * TGS is very well located in the central suburb of Marrickville - easy to get into the CBD/Newtown/Surry Hills, and if you drive like me, never any complications with street parking! * The studio was meticulous, and very well stocked - Cath filled the fridge/kitchen with nearly everything you'd need... The variety of teas and delicious homemade cookies were mostly appreciated, and I'm sure most Airbnb users are interested in an espresso machine, which was also available! * The shower in this place is truly amazing. All in all, if you don't mind a smaller place, this is the place for you - we found it worked well for 2 people. Thank you again Cath. :-)

Jun 27, 2019We spent two days at the Garden Studio and were impressed immediately on our arrival. Such warmth and sincere hospitality. Handed a loaf of baked bread straight from the oven within moments was an unexpected delight. The beautifully styled and thoughtfully prepared space is ideal. We felt that the attention to detail was the best we have experienced using AirBNB. From the generously stocked fridge and hamper, bathroom items, games, videos and books and even picnic gear it was clear the stylish owner is well travelled and knows how to make a space a temporary home. The kitchenette has everything you need. In fact the space and the lovely courtyard was so delightful we surprised ourselves by spending the first morning there enjoying a lazy breakfast reading the terrific range of wonderful magazines rather than head out. The location is great. At the end of the street is a lovely park where we were able to fit in a morning run. Very comfy bed, quality linen, a super quiet fan. Great information and maps were a welcome addition. We would love to return here and most likely will. Highly recommended.
Jun 27, 2019My 4 night stay at Garden Studio was a lovely, tranquil experience. On arrival I was greeted at the front gate by the fragrance of frangipanis, my favourite! The studio has been cleverly designed and has a crispy clean, fresh, airy feel to it. Cath was the perfect host who was there if I needed anything while also giving me a sense of privacy. All your needs are met at The Garden Studio with extras of yummy home baked ginger biscuits and the morning paper delivered to your front door! All this with a lush raindrop shower head made for delightful stay - it was a treat and a retreat all in one.
Jun 27, 2019BEAUTIFUL and very easy to use studio in a gorgeous garden! Everything is done to a really high quality level, from the sheets on the perfectly made bed to the spotless interior and the fantastic breakfast box Cath left for me. The garden is a wonderful and quiet place to hang out, although it is definitely shared between you and the host. Privacy feels more private that a room in someone else's house, but probably less than a stand-alone apartment - reasonable since it's a studio in someone's back garden. The neighborhood is quiet and pretty, with nice cafes and a farmer's market a 15-minute walk. Getting into and out of other places in the city takes a while; you are not in the center of things, but in a nice neighborhood. A car or a bike would be more flexible than using transit. Overall a great place that I would use again!
Jun 27, 2019The studio was really lovely. It was very clean, well equipped and pretty spacious. Everything was as how it looks in the pictures. We liked how the studio was designed, it gave us a very comfortable homely feel. Cath was patient and helpful with our questions, and she gave us our privacy, only popped in to give us some baked goodies and fresh towels. Overall we enjoyed our stay there and we would definitely recommend it to our friends.

The area is quiet and pretty interesting too - enjoyed my Sunday morning run in the diverse surrounding neighbourhoods :-) Cath is lovely too and very helpful - will definitely be back the next time we are in Sydney.

Comfy, clean, quiet, generously equipped, private, great location (if you have a car) and perfect if you need to be close to the airport. The place is filled with everything that we need, more than we even expected. Bed was comfortable, breakfast was great and there was even the facility to cook for ourselves. It is a very convenient place for anyone with a car. Location nice - the pub, the Henson Park Hotel is worth checking out!
Jun 27, 2019We had a great experience at the Garden Studio. It was so clean and comfortable with every need provided for. I had wondered about the ladder to the bed as in my 60s with a not good knee but it was fine and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. We loved the shower and bathroom provisions and the kitchen was great. We had delicious breakfast every morning with everything provided by Cath and only needed to purchase yoghurt.We had a weekly travel pass and there was a short walk to regular buses and the new Dulwich to Central light rail line which we used daily in combination with rail. Highly recommended .
Jun 27, 2019My girlfriend has been wanting to stay at Cath's place for quite some time now so she was quite pleased that we were able to book our last few nights in marrickville. Cath is an excellent host and a very thoughtful one as well! She welcomed us with a generous breakfast basket and with freshly baked bread the next morning! She was very organised and had all the need to know information all sorted into a little file with all the maps, delivery menus etc. The location is great just about 15 mins away from the domestic airport and about 25 mins away from the international airport. Our favourite airbnb stay so far!
Jun 27, 2019I couldn't have wished for a better 'first-time' experience with using Airbnb!!!! The Garden Studio was fantastic. I felt so comfortable staying there, that I completely forgot that it was located at the back of Cath's house. Cath has done an amazing job with making her guests feel welcome and well cared for. The breakfast hamper was beautiful (especially since I'm a fussy eater!!) fresh bread, home made jam, milk, juice, coffee, herbal teas etc etc was ALL provided. Being a tourist to Sydney, the information folder Cath has put together herself was extremely helpful. One night I tried one of her recommended restaurants and the food was amazing. I can't thank Cath enough for allowing me the privilege of staying in her beautiful studio.

We were warmly greeted by Cath, and Chips the dog, and once inside the studio there was a lovely hamper of breakfast foods, fresh bread, a coffee machine and various teas - breakfast then sorted for the next four days. The studio is in Cath's garden, with a paved area and table and chairs for sitting in the sun. While it is small it is very sunny and really well set out with modern furniture and we loved the loft bed. The bathroom area has a shower curtain, not a door but that was not a problem for us. Cath - thank you very much for making our stay so nice. Your home baking left for us on one of the days was really thoughtful. I highly recommend you and your Garden Studio.
Jun 27, 2019I did not personally stay with Cath, as we booked her room for an employee on an extended out of town stay. The booking process was very easy, and Cath was very understanding of our needs for the accommodation. The feedback from our staff member has been great - so much so he has requested that when he returns that he stays with Cath once more. The room is in a very central location of the Inner West region, with great access to buses, trains and the light rail at Dulwich Hill. I would highly recommend Cath's property for anyone looking for a cosy, homely location to stay :) Thanks Cath!

Jun 27, 2019My partner and I had the best stay at the Garden Studio, and hope to stay again one day. The space was beautifully and thoughtfully designed, and had everything we needed. We loved the generous breakfast spread and enjoyed fresh eggs and homemade bread both mornings, and slept so well in the loft bed. We had our car, and found Marrickville a really easy place to stay, it was very central to everywhere we needed to go (city, Surry Hills, Alexandria), and parking was easy. Cath had also baked me the most beautiful white chocolate mud cake because she knew my birthday was coming up, and we arrived back to the studio one night to find a box of meringues waiting for us. I'd highly recommend the studio :)
Jun 27, 2019If you're looking for your own little place while away, this is the place for you. The Garden Studio had all the little things you'd need on a weekend away: a lounge area, a nice little kitchen and bench, a great bathroom and a very comfortable loft. Being out the back of the house, separated by the courtyard, and accessible through path along the side of the house (bordered by a chicken coup) it is in a very private location. Cath was great too! She was there to greet us and left us a hamper to snack on. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!
Jun 27, 2019We had a fabulous 5 days in the Garden Studio. Comfy bed, lovely rain shower and a super little coffee machine. Cath is a great host - attentive and yet respectful of privacy. We welcomed a few cuddles from puppy host Chip also! If you are considering the Garden Studio, book it in now. Cath has thought of everything and it is all yours to enjoy.
Jun 27, 2019Absolutely beautiful place. I was only there for a couple of days mid-week however would of loved to have stayed a little longer, dive into some of the books and enjoy the remainder of the awesome food hamper. Everything you need for a home away form home with a great host to match.
Jun 27, 2019Cath is an excellent communicator and an outstanding host. Her studio is perfect, spotlessly clean and everything one could possibly need is supplied. Even games, umbrellas, egg poacher and toiletries. Her array of tea has widened my tea drinking repertoire enormously. A folder was available outlining all the local cafes, restaurants, hairdressers and any other professional you might need. Before we arrived Cath contacted us to ensure her breakfast hamper contained things we liked. In additional to the hamper, each day we were treated to a range of treats including fresh eggs, delicious cakes or freshly baked bread. Even the paper was delivered most days courtesy of Chips the guide dog in training. After eight days we rolled out of the Garden Studio wishing we could stay indefinitely. This standard was maintained with Cath being extremely busy with an enormous photo shoot as well as her impending wedding this weekend. What a wonderful find. We would definitely recommend Cath to our family and friends and in fact have done so,

Jun 27, 2019Staying in Caths cosy little Garden Studio was absolutely wonderful. The Garden Studio is decorated with much love for details, clean, comfy and very charming. Cath was great host. I was totally surprised to see that she prepared a breakfast basket for us with self-made jam and eggs from her three hens. I would definitely stay there again if I ever have the chance to visit Sydney again!

Jun 27, 2019We were welcomed by Cath with fresh bread and eggs and a kind, warm hello. The studio was clean and various food was supplied in the fridge and in a basket. Also an extra mattress was provided for my friend which was so much appreciated. The neighborhood felt very safe and friendly and some great cafes and restaurants within walking distance. I would easily return again and would recommend it.
Jun 27, 2019Cath gave us a warm welcome that included biscuits straight out of the oven! The room was delightful, funky and immaculately clean. Cath has thought of every possible thing a guest might need which gives a stay here a sense of abundance and generosity. From fresh flowers down to oven-fresh bread and the newspaper at our doorstep the next morning. The fridge was well stocked with condiments, chocolates, juice, milk and more. Tea and coffee choices were plentiful. There was a book full of maps, tips on things to do and see, menus for local restaurants and other useful contacts. The space was quiet with no traffic noise, just the cluck of the friendly chickens and someone playing piano in a nearby house (not intrusively!). The location was great for us. Close to several parks and a short walk to Marrickville shopping strip, restaurants, bars (Gasoline Pony) and the train station was about 30 mins walk away. Parking was easy. Communication was easy and prompt which made it easy to change our plans which we had to do at short notice. We'd highly recommend The Garden Studio to guests wanting a peaceful stay close enough to the city.

Was pleased to find that the place very cosy and quiet which is a plus point to me. Not forgetting her lovely pet dog, he was super friendly and obedient which i enjoyed so much playing with him even though he has enter the room without notice. :) It's a shame Cath place was taken up when i return to Sydney but will surely choose over her place if i ever return to Sydney for holiday. Jun 27, 2019I had an absolutely lovely stay at Cath's Garden Studio. Such an easy location and I was amazed by how much thought and care was put into looking after her guest's needs. The fresh croissant for breakfast was one of my favourite parts of my stay. The chooks were very cute, as was Chips. Cath is very helpful while still being respectful of your privacy. I would definitely stay here again!
Jun 27, 2019Wow! What a beautiful little studio. We loved it. Myself and my girlfriend stayed here for two nights and it was perfect for us. There was enough room for two of us to stay but cosy enough to make it feel comfortable. Being in Marrickville, it is so handy to where we wanted to be. The breakfast Cath provided was amazing, such great hospitality. My girlfriend says Cath really knows the way to a girl's heart as there were plenty of amenities included with the stay, even a hairdryer and shampoo/conditioner, not to mention the fully stocked kitchen. Cannot recommend enough for either singles or couples. Cath made us feel very welcome yet with enough privacy that we felt comfortable.

She left us to our own devices most of the time, but was always available and forthcoming with great advice about the area and very generous with her delivery of home-baked bread, a muesli slice that she made and fresh eggs from her cooks. Marrickville is a really nice area - very quiet and relaxed, but with plenty of dining options within a 15 minute walk and the city and Newtown also very accessible via public transport. Highly recommended!
Jun 27, 2019Lovely set up! Who expected chickens and a veggie garden in a. Small suburban setting?? I loved seeing the chickens. Wandering a mongst the frangipanis and greeting me as I left in the morning or as I arrived home. Cath has done a wonderful job creating a sweet and very comfortable place for her guests to stay. Her breakfast hamper was divine and she thought of everything to make her guests welcome! Thank you!!!

The breakfast hamper and well stocked refrigerator made me feel very welcome. Plenty of towels and the shower is a dream. The neighbourhood is quiet and a ten minute walk across the park to the station. I highly recommend the Garden Studio to anyone wanting a base in Sydney out of the city centre.
Jun 27, 2019Very convenient to the airport and a vibrant local community, Cath and her place were very accommodating and friendly and the bungalow is to be recommended for short stays. Its small and gets some aircraft noise but its also well maintained, clean, very comfortable and Cath provided a bunch of great breakfasty snacks - I was lucky enough to get some freshly baked muffins also!

Jun 27, 2019Goodness. An air bnb host with both a great sense of style AND with relaxed insight into what makes for guests feeling really welcome and comfortable. The linen was yummy to sleep in and the plethora of breakfast and snack offerings in the basket and fridge were also a great treat. We could walk to more in the area than we even managed to do in the 3 days we were there (so there is no shortage of great food or entertainment). Even with an air mattress on the downstairs floor my friend and I felt we had plenty of room. We'd stay there again in a flash. Next time we'll bring our nona trolleys, and cooler bags and shop up on goodies from the Greek deli and places on illawarra rd.

It was all the little extras like a slice of cake waiting for you upon returning back for the evening, home made jam, biscuits, gourmet butter for eggs on toast, chocolate, trail mix... that make it so much more personable and enjoyable than a hotel. It has to be one of the best and most authentic airbnb places I have stayed in. Cath has thought of everything! Comfy bed, choice of pillows, great shower and super clean. It is also close to the airport and train stations to easily get into the heart of the city. Highly recommended!
Jul 27, 2019Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The studio was such a smart use of space; easy to move around and access everything we needed. Spotlessly clean, gorgeous decor, and very modern too. Breakfast provisions were scrumptious and generous. All the little extra touches such as the magazines and DVDs made our stay and we wish we could have stayed on longer just to relax a bit more. Will consider again for our next trip to Sydney.
Jun 27, 2019Cath is a superb, warm and friendly host and was quick to respond to any queries we had during the booking process. The studio is just like it is shown in the pics being even better than a hotel stay. It is fully equipped with everything you need and it has everything as described on the Airbnb site. We were blown away with the fresh and tasty eggs Cath provided us from her own chickens on site. Her breakfast hamper has fresh bread, yogurt, muesli, milk and other baked goods that was more than what we needed. Cath is very thoughtful and considerate of her guests and will provide you all the information required to travel, eat and be like a local which is what we wanted to do in our Sydney stay. We also loved her sense of style and the way she has done up the Garden studio. Also there is a lovely vegetable patch with herbs and greens right outside the studio. Very pretty. The little details matter like the umbrellas, picnic basket, extra blankets, etc that were provided to us. The studio is not located within the CBD area but that was not a problem at all since we were commuting around via trains and buses and did not find any issues doing so. Also it is in a suburb very close to the central area so you are still pretty close. Besides Marickville has some of the best food and coffee options that we explored in our trip. Stay at the Garden studio and you will not be disappointed. We were sad to leave and only wished we could have stayed longer. This has surely been our best AirBnb stay till date. P.S. Just make sure you are okay to stay in a loft like bed with a movable ladder to climb up and down which may not suit everyone. That was a highlight for us though and we wanted to experience it :)
Jun 27, 2019We had an amazing stay in Cath's studio. It has absolutely everything you could ever need. The thoughtful touches such as yoghurt, milk fresh bread and fresh eggs were just some of the things Cath provided us to make our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as it was. Beautiful clean studio that has everything and more you could possibly need. We will never be staying in a hotel in Sydney again ! Cath went above and beyond to welcome us and make our stay as comfortable as possible. Heaps of DVDs, magazines and books, fluffy towels and extremely comfortable bed and pillows ! Everything you could possibly need in the fridge and a great location to get to the airport and nearly by restaurants cafes and inner city. We loved our stay at Cath's! Will definitely be back soon!

The studio itself is immaculately clean and very homey, we had access to everything we needed from storage to toiletries. Cath was even lovely enough to provide us with some breakfast options and snacks in the fridge! Cath's place is situated not too far from the city which made it very convenient for us to travel to and from by car. We loved every minute of our stay there Cath, thanks again!
Jun 27, 2019We really enjoyed our stay at the Garden Studio. Cath couldn't have been more welcoming. She put the effort into getting the kind of milk and bread we liked for the breakfast hamper, which we really appreciated, along with the delicious fresh eggs. She thought of everything - including a little machine for cooking the eggs, some chocolate, homemade jam, chocolate and beers! The studio is pretty easily accessible from the city by bus. The studio is small but big enough for too people. It's really clean and stylish. The only thing we weren't fans of was the bed in the loft - we had a tendency to hit our heads on the roof a bit and it might be a pain for some to go up and down to get to bed. But other than that, couldn't have asked for any better!

Das Garden Studio war für uns perfekt: es liegt zwar etwas außerhalb, es ist aber durch diverse Bus- und S-Bahnlinien sehr gut an die Innenstadt angeschlossen. Das Studio war sehr sauber und ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Es gab eine Mappe mit wichtigen Infos über Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Cafés und Restaurants in der Nähe, was sehr hilfreich war. Cath war so nett und hat sogar auf meine Allergien ( Tierhaare, Nahrungsmittel etc.) Rücksicht genommen, was ich wirklich klasse fand. Es gab sogar extra nussfreie Kekse für mich. Toll! Vielen Dank Cath für den schönen Aufenthalt bei Dir!
Jun 27, 2019We couldn't have felt more welcome when we arrived at the Garden Studio. Cath had so thoughtfully displayed a "Happy Birthday" banner and special breakfast treats for my son's birthday. Everything you need is provided, an array of breakfast supplies - including fresh eggs from their chickens and delicious homemade jam as well as homemade Choc Chip cookies! The accommodation is comfortable and homely - we honestly wish we could have stayed for much longer. Cath has thought of everything - including providing "Opal" cards for public transport - so generous! We will definitely be back if we have the opportunity to visit Sydney again. Highly recommended! Jun 27, 2019Cath couldn't have been more accommodating: we had a last minute flight cancellation (Jetstar. Grrr) and therefore a change of arrival time, however Cath was happy to receive us earlier than planned. The house is so peaceful. We had a lovely sleep in the delightful loft bed. And the shower was a real treat. Marrickville has so many interesting nooks and crannies: we explored in all directions past the stunning old homes in Dulwich Hill, the array of Vietnamese restaurants in Marrickville and all the hip places heading up towards Enmore and Newtown. We couldn't have been more pleased with our choice of accommodation.

She left me beautiful homemade jam, fresh eggs from her gorgeous chickens, a chocolate eater egg, milk, a very generous selection of cereals ... she really knows how to make you feel welcome. The cottage is very comfortable and it's completely private, fully equipped, comfortable bed, close to transport. There is nothing at all to fault. Jun 27, 2019A fantastic place to stay away from the hustle and bustle of Sydney but still close to all of the action. Soaking up the morning sun with a cup of tea, a croissant and a good book - pure bliss. Cath sure knows how to make you feel at home, with fresh bread and a well-stocked kitchen. Oh, and a very comfortable bed! Pop down the road to Cornersmith Cafe for a delicious breakfast or read a book under the big trees in the park at the end of the street. I wish I could have stayed longer - I definitely plan to come back!

Cath was so sweet to bring us fresh eggs, fresh bread and warm croissants in the morning. She was very kind and helpful whenever we had questions. The fresh towels smelled so good and the bed was super comfortable (we didn't want to get out of bed!) This space is perfect for one or two people. Thank you, Cath!!! :)
Jun 27, 2019Cath's little garden studio we could have hoped for and more! Cath and her pup welcomed us warmly upon our arrival, and the little studio was a warm home away from home. Every little detail had been thought of, and the bountiful breakfast basket was a delight, as was the little delivery from the bread fairy the following morning, and the fresh eggs from the little chickies in the garden :) The location was great - a very comfortable walking distance to Newtown and Marrickville which meant we were able to enjoy the great food, coffee and beer that the locality has to offer, as well as great theatre at the Depot. Cath's recommendations for local must-dos were much appreciated. The street is lovely and quiet, with a park at the end. Getting to and from the train was also a breeze. This is a rare gem, one which we will definitely be returning to!

Fresh bread was waiting at the door on Sunday morning which went down a treat. The studio was snug and warm and I'd like to build one myself, it was very cool! 5 stars :)

Cath's little flat is modern and clean and sleek with a fun loft bed that helped you feel hidden away from the world. The area is great if you want to be a little ways from the busyness of the city but not too far to travel either. Cath provided us with fresh bread and croissants for breakfast which was just the cherry on top of a wonderful stay. Cath is a friendly host who will assist you with anything you need. Jun 27, 2019Very nice little studio apartment. Looks exactly like the pictures. We only saw Cath very briefly but she made the whole process very easy. Good selections of breakfast items and a great bathroom, lounge room is small but functional. This studio may not suit you if you're a light sleeper it has a lot of natural morning light and planes flying close by. Location is smack in the middle of 3 train lines all about 15mins walk away. Not super close to the city center, but good if you have a car to park and don't want to pay. Thanks for a good stay!

Cath has obviously travelled herself, as she is aware of all the little conveniences to include within her space to make it a really super great stay. Would definitely recommend!!!

Veel lawaai van zeer laag over komende vliegtuigen van 06.30 tot 23.00. Bed boven kan alleen kruipend bereikt worden omdat er geen stahoogte is.

It's like a perfect tiny home with everything you need! Cath left an incredible breakfast basket that made our mornings easy and really made it feel like home. She includes a comprehensive guidebook in the unit and transit cards that helped us to get around. Nothing but positive things to say about our visit! We would highly recommend staying here!

There are tons of personal touches and amenities that make you feel like you are staying at a very close friend's place. If you forgot anything at home, she probably has it neatly tucked away in a corner of the studio. We had a wonderful stay.

Breakfast was great as well ; bread, muesli, eggs are all good. We also walked to marrickville station which has so many Vietnamese restaurants and many of them are so good! Cath is also nice. She made our stay so comfortable .. We would come back when we go back to Sydney. We would definitely recommend this place!

Jun 27, 2019The garden studio is a gem and we loved our time there. Cosy, but well equipped, Cath's extra little touches make this our top favourite air bnb location. The breakfast hamper that is provided is a very thoughtful touch; cereal, muesli, baked beans, porridge oats, eggs, juice., freshly baked bread from the local bakery...Cath was also very accommodating with our dietary requirements-vegan- and provided us with almond milk, coconut yoghurt, dairy free margarine and coconut & chia puddings. Free parking outside was also a bonus and we never had any issues with finding a space. Highly recommend staying here!
Jun 27, 2019We had a perfect time in Cath´s Garden Studio. The Studio is just as it is described. It is very clean, nicely arranged and decorated. We felt that Cath wants her guests feel really comfortable and happy in it. The breakfast basket with bread, eggs, milk and muesli made it complete. The Studio is not very big but it has everything which is needed. Very nice and lovely! a little treasury :) Cath is very attentive, helpful and extremely pleasant. She was always reachable when we asked for insider tips or had questions concerning locations to visit. The "cherry on top of the cake" was that Cath brought us to the airport on our last day! Thanks again! So for us it is not difficult to summarize that Cath (and her husband mark) are excellent "super hosts"! We loved the week in Marrickville and enjoyed the stay in the Garden Studio. The studio has got all the essentials you need which is being mentioned in the house manual. We just loved staying at the garden studio for almost two weeks . It's the perfect base for solo travellers or couples to explore Sydney and is definitely the best equipped Air BnB we've stayed in to date. The breakfast basket was fab, as were the delicious cookies we found on our doorstep when we arrived home on our last night. Cath was super helpful and friendly (as was Hazelnut the adorable pup!). Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Great central location in a beautiful leafy suburb, plenty of parking and an incredible host. Cath was so kind and helpful and her Labrador Hazelnut was just adorable. This is perfect place to base yourself to enjoy the best of Sydney - we will be back! 10/10!

The garden appartment is in a quite neighborhood but offers everything in close vincinity (shops, grocery stores, restaurants) and with the 2 Opal cards Cath provides you are perfectly equipped to use busses and trains to explore Sydney. I really enjoyed my stay and was treated like a king.

Jun 27, 2019The place was as small as shown in the pictures, and still equipped with everything one may need, including everything for cooking in the tiny kitchen. Cath was attentive and generous in house supplies.
Jun 27, 2019Cath is a great host and easy to deal with. She was thoughtful and even asked what type of milk I preferred. The space is just as described. I was only there for a quick work trip so it was the perfect size for me. It was a quick 15 min walk to the train station too. I would definitely stay there again.

Jun 27, 2019房间很漂亮 麻雀虽小五脏俱全 能想到的东西房间都能找到 门口有个小院子 坐在那里喝喝茶看看天空再舒服不过 房东还很贴心的准备了很多种谷物和面包当早餐 房子离tram站有一些远 拖着行李还是挺累的 附近的公交又不太准点 不过去哪都还算方便 到的前一天房东还很贴心地问了我们想要哪种牛奶 飞机晚点很晚才到还在院子里等着我们 房东有只很可爱的大狗狗 不过要白天才能遇到哦
Jun 27, 2019A lovely place with a really cute loft bedroom, a comfortable downstairs area and Cath left us various goodies to make our breakfast. Cath has lovely garden spaces with chickens, and an area to sit and soak in the sun. Easy street parking and walking distance to cafes and shops. Throughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone able to manage the ladder. Would happily stay again.

Jun 27, 2019I stayed at Cath's place for around 10 days and found it exactly as described. A cute space with a comfy bed, clean bathroom and handy kitchen. It included Cath's thoughful touches such as the breakfast hamper which was very nice. I would not hesitate recommending Cath's place.
Jun 27, 2019Cath was the perfect host! She provided everything we needed from universal adapters to fresh eggs from her chickens. Cath even provides a binder full of information about the area (nearby hospitals, cute coffee places, things to do). The Garden Studio itself is very cute and stylish. My boyfriend and I stayed here for several weeks, and it had everything we needed. We couldn’t have asked for a better host or a better space for our stay in Sydney.

Jun 27, 2019We really enjoyed staying in this lovely little tiny home! It was plenty big enough. We had everything we needed, heaps of privacy and good supplies! Was definitely more than I expected. We loved staying in Marrickville and Cath’s book of tips were really helpful. It was good being in walking distance to public transport and there was plenty of parking on the street. Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back again!
Jun 27, 2019Cath’s Garden Studio was the perfect place for me to stay while visiting my friends who live in the area! Would definitely stay again. Breakfast provided was a very nice touch too!
