Neighborhood Overview
The neighborhood is called Maunalani Heights and locals refer to it as "mountain" living because it's 5-10 degrees cooler at night than down by the beach. When it's hot at night down in Waikiki, on top of Maunalani Heights we sleep with a light summer blanket and no air conditioning!! The area is lush, residential, yet 6-8 minutes down the hill there is Waialae Ave., the "eating" district of Honolulu (called Kaimuki). Beaches are found 10 minutes away by car. There is ample street parking
Notes
There is high-speed Internet and Wi-Fi service. There is no laundry service on the premises and for longer stays, housekeeping can be offered upon request. The unit is in a residential, single-family neighborhood and there is lots of street parking available. Guests are welcome to park along the mock orange hedge. The setting is lush and tropical and sometimes you may come in contact with flying insects or bugs, which are part of the Hawaii eco system. For example at night, when you have the lights on, its best to keep the entry door closed; all windows have mosquito screens and we have the company Orkin under contract for pest control.
Transit
Bus number 14 stops on the street, nearly in front of the house. Most guest rent cars when they come to the island.
Access
The studio is detached from the main house, which has long-term tenants upstairs and downstairs. The lower yard and the front yard are assigned to those tenants, not the studio guests. The studio has exclusive use of its large (600 sqft) patio - under roof! Check-in and check-out times other than the ones listed, are by request only and an additional charges may apply; please inquire before booking. Check-in times need to be agreed with host. In general, guests self-check-in themselves into the unit. The day before guests' arrival, self-check-in instructions and photos are sent by host. A check-in video will be sent to your personal email shortly before your arrival. A KEURIG coffee (K-CUP) machine and coffee capsules (PODS) are provided. Barbecue unit is not shared with guests for safety reasons and only the owner has access. Best to take Sierra Dr. on the way up the hill; it has gentle switchbacks!

Although the studio is in relatively close proximity to the main house - which is occupied by separate people on each of its two levels - and the next-door neighbors, it enjoys lots of sound and visual privacy – it is basically extremely quiet at all times.!!! The studio guests are requested to behave respectfully, in order to provide the same level of privacy to the people around them. No visitors are allowed on the premises at any time; No smoking, pets, loud music please!! The hallway door, which affords privacy to your patio, needs to be kept closed at all times; if left open, the wind will slam the door shut and create noise and possible damage to the door. Early check in and late check out by request only; unless owner or Jhanna can accommodate such requests, please observe 3 pm check in and 10 am check times.

Beautiful views greet you upon arrival! Andrei was great with response to any questions-very quick! Enjoyed our stay here. The kitchen was well equipped to make meals which was very nice.
Jun 27, 2019Andrei was a great and considerate host. Once booked, he kept in content with myself as well as my girlfriend. He responded very quickly and answered all the questions we had. A week or so before our stay, Andrei sent us a video of the place explaining the room as well as to where things were (like a virtual tour) which was very helpful to us. The day we arrived, the drive up is about 7-8 minutes from the bottom. Our informant was Maria who met us there with the keys and instructions. The place was smaller than we imagined but it was to our liking. Well stocked for the kitchen as in utensils and pots and pans as well as a beautiful bathroom. It is a very quiet neighborhood so if you're not quiet, I suggest not staying here. The other tenants are in close quarters to your studio so be considerate and don't make so much noise. Overall, our stay was great. The view was beautiful and had a great scene of diamond head. We would recommend this place. If anyone ever needs anything during their stay, ask Andrei and he would be more than happy to accommodate you!!
Jun 27, 2019Andrei had alot of questions at the beginning, it showed how strict he screens his potential guests. A video was provided before arrival, it was very helpful and showed exactly what the place looks like. We were lucky enough that the host organised pick up from the airport. The place is way up in hills, had a great view which we enjoined every morning. Even though it was way up the hills, a bus stop is right outside the place, which runs hourly. The place is clean, comfortable and well-equipped (although it does not have wifi). Overall the stay was very nice and easy, we enjoyed it very much.

The space was fabulous, incredible views and not too far (if you have a car) from a lot of places, although they have a bus stop right nearby also. Would absolutely stay there again and would highly recommend it. Mariya was our contact whilst we were there and found her fantastic as well. Thank you again for allowing us into your home.

Jun 27, 2019This was a beautiful piece of property and the pictures don't do justice for how amazing the view is!! I highly recommend staying here. The location is perfect. Being just outside of the city is great because you can avoid all the traffic and craziness and its a short drive in. We had a great time staying here and everything in the studio is great! Thank you for everything we hope to be back one day!

He reached out to me before booking with a video detailing the room and amenities, and provided useful information for check in making the whole process as seamless as possible. The studio itself is modern, recently renovated, and has a great view of Diamond Head, the volcano by the shore. Andrei's studio is also outside of Waikiki, which can be loud at night and make sleeping at night difficult. Not to mention staying outside of the city gives you the perspective of a local, so you'll have a much more rewarding experience. Highly recommend!
Jun 27, 2019Andrei's studio was absolutely stunning. The place had magnificent views of Diamond Head and the ocean from the patio, a well-stocked kitchen, a comfortable bed and a very nice bathroom. My boyfriend and I spent the first half of our trip in busy (and sometimes loud) Waikiki. Andrei's home was the complete opposite of that which was exactly what we were aiming for. It's a very soothing and quiet environment. Andrei was always helpful and informative! Would love to stay here again :)
Jun 27, 2019This studio is beautiful with gorgeous views. Best for those who have a car to get around. It is very quiet and serene. Everything is the studio is upgraded so it feels quite luxurious. We stayed for about a week, and my only issue (which is my own fault) is that for that long of a trip a washer and dryer would have been great. Definitely recommend this studio, mostly for a quite couple who has a car to get around the island.
Jun 27, 2019Andrei's studio was AMAZING. It was clean, modern, quiet, and the view is absolutely fantastic. Parking is super easy right outside the house. Mariya, who helped us check in, was super prompt and friendly. Despite the listing description, there actually is wifi available in the studio, which was super helpful during our stay. The bed was comfortable; it was hot at night but there is a fan in the closet. The kitchen was awesome- we cooked one meal during our stay, and all the appliances are shiny and easy to use. Bathroom was super clean and the stone shower and path was so cute. We loved the outdoor patio as well, not only to enjoy the view but to eat there was convenient and pretty as well. During our stay in late may / early June, which was apparently the rainy season, since Andrei's place is uphill in the mountains, it seemed always rainy or drizzling, but don't be too concerned or deceived because when you drive out of the neighborhood, it's super clear and sunny. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at this super clean, modern, and adorable studio! Couldn't have been better! :)

Jun 27, 2019Highly recommend this place! The view was absolutely beautiful, very clean and quite. If you're not renting a car I would imagine it's a drag getting around to and from there. Mariya was very nice and helpful if we ever needed anything.

Jun 27, 2019Adrei's studio is lovely and perfect for two people. His home is on a mountain, as described, so the streets getting to and from the studio were steep (at least steeper than I expected). For the most part everything was nice and clean. Basic kitchen supplies and tools were available (knives, forks, cutting board, pots, pans, salt, pepper, oil, etc) and 3 beach towels and 4 bath towels were available for use. The patio was also really nice and wished we could have used it more (but of course, we were out and about doing other things). Keep in mind that the homes here ARE in close proximity to each other, so you may be able to hear other people and their conversations. We had a really comfortable stay and loved it! Thanks Andrei!

Jun 27, 2019Andrei was extremely quick to messages prior to our stay, and provided helpful check-in information. We were greeted by Mariya upon arrival, and she was great. She walked us in, showed us how to work a few things and gave us the keys. The studio is beautiful. Perfect for two people. The shower at the end of everyday was amazing. We loved the finishes throughout the space- beautiful wood cabinetry, the countertops, appliances, and the bathroom was perfect. The bed was very comfortable- just bring extra pillows if you sleep with more than one per person. The outdoor living space provided absolutely stunning views over the ocean and diamond head. There was comfortable furniture, space to hang drying towels and even a sink outside. The flowering trees next to the porch were also lovely. The kitchen was very useful. When we arrived, Mariya mentioned that there might be roaches (they do spray the apartment regularly, and there was spray under the sink). The presence of these bugs is not due to a lack of cleanliness- just a consequence of location on a tropical island. We had 6 unwelcome guests during the 8 days, but we were able to get rid of them quickly. This is not a criticism of the apartment or cleaning- but just something to be mindful of anywhere on Oahu. I would absolutely stay here again if I returned to the island, and highly recommend this studio. If you have a rental car, there is nowhere on the island you would visit that would take much longer than an hour. We were able to go all over the island without any trouble, and had an amazing time. Many thanks to Andrei and Mariya for their help and for the opportunity.
Jun 27, 2019Overall great place with great view (the profile picture were almost true from the patio!), the only thing I was surprised about the place is that it is actually more like a room with a kitchen, I would more consider this a Private room then an entire home/apt. However, with the reasonable pricing I am not really complaining, for 2 people this place work great!

Jun 27, 2019We rented the studio for two weeks for our honeymoon. It is a nice and quiet neighborhood with an amazing view to the ocean. Perfect for enjoying the evenings and the cooler nights. When we arrived Mariya welcomed us and gave us an introduction of the place, she was very friendly and helpful. The studio itself is perfect for a couple. The interior is built with high quality materials and well equipped for a longer stay. There is only one thing to mention is that due to the local environment we had several cockroaches during our stay inside the house but we got rid of them. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone for a perfect vacation.

Jun 27, 2019Everything about our stay was wonderful. The space was the perfect size for two people and the neighborhood was very relaxing and quiet. The only thing I would say is that if you're not too keen on bugs you might want to stay in a hotel. We saw several cockroaches in the unit which just freaked me out. I guess that's what you get for living in Hawaii though.
Jun 27, 2019What a beautiful place to stay! For us it was better than any hotel could have been. The description given is very accurate! Close to Honolulu, Waikiki and the beaches but not in the middle of all the busy tourist spots and hotels. The bus stops near, but a car is beter to have at hand when staying here. The place has everything you need and there's a lot of comfort. It was clean and there were towels and beach towels available. The WiFi is truly high speed. In the mountains it can rain in september but don't let it disappoint you; when you go down to Waikiki or the beach, the sun is shining and at the beach it's hot! I can recommend this place to everybody.

Jun 27, 2019Great view of the ocean and a quiet setting. The air bnb sits up on a hill looking down to Diamond Head. The place is perfect for two and very clean. The decor is tastefully done. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking or you are close to some great restaurants. We will go back.
Jun 27, 2019We had an enjoyable one-week stay at the studio. Andrei and Mariya provided us with lots of valuable information for checking in and more ahead of our arrival. The studio's lanai is super-nice and on clear days, the view towards Diamond Head is priceless! Overall, the studio was clean, is tastefully furnished and although not big, it is still a good fit for a couple. Unfortunately, there was also some construction going on in the adjacent appartment, but we were able to clarify this with Andrei. Two more things just to be aware of: 1. The windows are hawaiian-style (as you can see in the pictures), which means you can have a nice breeze (a plus!), but also do not provide a lot of noise isolation if it gets windy outside. It is a quiet neighborhood however. You can also not darken the room a lot, if it matters to you. 2. For all you coffee-lovers out there, there is no coffee maker available. Instant coffee is provided though. Overall, we can recommend it and would come back if we were to return to the island. Mahalo!

Jun 27, 2019My wife and I spent 6 wonderful days at Andrei's wonderful studio. It was everything that was advertised. I have never stayed in a place where it was so hard to leave the veranda to go to the beach because of the view. Most importantly for the purpose of this review, I have truly never stayed in any B&B in the past where there was so much attention to detail for our every need. From the pre-arrival text messages, directional video, all amenities down to the most regular items you would use in your own home, He had covered everything. The only bad part was having to leave. If we come back to Oahu next year, I will be looking to book this location again, first and foremost!
Jun 27, 2019We had a great time staying at Andrei's. It's very secluded yet comfortable and the patio has an incredible view. Great shower! Only small negative was that you could hear the next door neighbors kind of loudly when they were home. But we were very happy here and would stay here again.

Jun 27, 2019We spent a week at this fantastic studio and really enjoyed it. Location wise it is in a quiet area, outside of the main hustle and bustle of Waikiki but you can easily reach places by car, or catch an uber into town which would cost about $18 dollars each way. It's a good location for getting around the island if you have a car as you can quickly and easily reach the main Highway to go North, East or West. You also have a safe parking space for your car at the Studio. The view from the studio is fantastic, especially on an evening. We spent a lot of time at the outside area enjoying the views of Diamond Head and the Ocean. The Studio itself is well equipped; good coffee machine, oven, lots of kitchen equipment, beach towels, toiletries and a great hairdryer. If you're planning to cook any of your own meals during your stay than this Studio is perfect. The studio is quite cosy but we never felt like it was too small, it was perfect for our stay. The information we received about the booking was excellent, Andrei sent me a check in video so I could see how everything worked first hand, and an email with clear information. Andrei also very kindly let us drop our luggage off at the studio when we arrived as our flight got in very early, this then allowed us to go off for the day with no hassle and was very much appreciated! I would highly recommend the studio, I hope to be back!
Jun 27, 2019Such a wonderful place. Andrei is extremely attentive and would love to thank him for the chance to stay at his amazing home. Although it is a bit further away from the hustle and bustle, it's definitely worth a stay. It'll take you about 20 minutes to walk down the hill, depending on your route and pace, however it's such a beautiful walk which will bring you to a range of restaurants. The decor is so comforting, and use of space is utilised so well. The place was kept so well, the floors were so clean and the shower spotless. I would definitely stay here again with my partner.

What bothered us was that you could overhear every word of the neighbours,if they were outside their house,as the walls od the studio are thin (no noise insulation). Apart from that,recommended.

The kitchen had everything we needed, the bathroom was spotless. Highly recommend this place as the location seems perfect and we suggest you rent a car :)
Jun 27, 2019Perched on top of one of the hills backing Waikiki, with views of Diamond Head, this rental is a great place to kick back and enjoy some peace and quiet. We loved waking up to bird song early in the morning (be prepared or use ear plugs), having a cup of coffee on the deck and then starting our adventures. The suite has a Keurig coffee machine so don't buy ground coffee like I did! The kitchen is well equipped. There were many freezer ice packs and snap lid food containers that we used to pack picnic lunches--bring a cooler bag. The shower is great! The only thing you need to understand is that the long term renters' (very nice) kitchen window faces the private lanai, so anything you say or they say can be heard. I found this awkward for the first day, but got over it and thoroughly enjoyed the premises. Another plus, there is a conveniently located Whole Foods located 8 minutes away. Want take out--go eat at Diamond Head Market!

Jun 27, 2019While the location is secluded,it is true local living. Houses are close so you will hear others. The neighbors dog woke us up several times so I would not suggest bringing a baby here. Otherwise it was a lovely studio with great amenities. The lanai is great and the view gorgeous. Make sure to open all the louvred windows, even the ones over the bed to get a great breeze. Parking was included, good Wi-Fi, and the self check-in with the coded gate and front door was handy with no need to keep track of keys. Host was prompt in contacting me as I booked. He was off island though so he had an on island counterpart who wasn't as prompt as the host but not unmanageable. I found the bed really hard and woke up sore every morning but my husband was fine for most of the trip so if you have a sensitive back maybe beware. You'll have to drive into town but it's really close to grocery stores. We enjoyed being out of the hotel zone. Aloha!
Jun 27, 2019Lovely stay in a lovely studio! This place is perfect for a quiet getaway for writing and reflection. I stayed here for one week on my own and another week with my partner. It was a perfect place to cook, hang out, stare at the ocean, and relax. It's also well located for trips to Whole Foods, the local restaurants in Kaimuki (best neighborhood in Honolulu, in my opinion), and the beach (about 12 min away). There's also a fabulous view and plenty of hiking nearby. What more could you need? There can be a bit of noise in the evening, given the proximity to the neighbors, but it's pretty common in Hawaii! Andrei was communicative and responsive to all my needs. I would recommend this place to get away from the crowds of Waikiki and get a sense for the real Hawaii lifestyle.

Jun 27, 2019This place is very cute and absolutely perfect for a solo traveler or a couple. The view from the deck is amazing and peaceful with very comfortable and inviting decor. Even though there are neighbors quite close, you really do have a significant feeling of privacy.
Jun 27, 2019We stayed at Andrei's for 6 days and we felt right at home. The space was very inviting, clean, and relaxing. We had a lot of privacy despite being in close proximity with the other residents. The balcony was perfect! Especially the view when you first wake up in the morning. Location wise; a lot of places were very accessible via car, we were basically in the middle of everything. Checking in and out was a breeze, and Jhanna/Andrei were easy to reach. Staying here gave us the experience of a true local in Oahu. If we ever do visit Hawaii again, we will definitely book this place again!

Jun 27, 2019Ich und mein Mann haben zwei Wochen bei Andrei verbracht! Als wir ankamen, konnten wir nicht fassen wie wunderschön die Aussicht auf den Diamond Head war. Das Apartment ist klein aber fein und alles wichtige war vorhanden. Einige Gläser, Pfannen, Geschirr etc. Spülmittel, Zewatücher, Toilettenpapier, frische Handtücher. Es war alles wunderbar sauber. Der Check-in war auch sehr einfach. Jhanna und Andrei sind ein super Team. Wir hatten Kontakt über eine Whatappgruppe, in der alle Fragen auch geklärt werden konnten. Bei Problemen konnte man Jahanna direkt kontaktieren und sie wäre sofort zur Stelle. Für Sicherheit ist auch gesorgt mit Sicherheitspins am Tor und am Apartment. Andrei macht darauf aufmerksam, dass es sich um Hawaiianische Fenster handelt, was sehr wichtig ist. Wer keine hellhörige Orte mag, sollte das Apartment meiden. Uns hat es super gefallen, da wir auf der Suche nach Ruhe waren. Es war perfekt! Was noch wichtig zu erwähnen ist: die perfekte Aussicht hat auch ihren Preis! Es geht halt logischer Weise sehr steil hoch. Zu Fuß würde ich persönlich nicht empfehlen. Mit einem Auto ist alles kein Problem! Eine Buslinie fährt auch regelmäßig vorbei. Uns ist halt die Hygiene sehr wichtig und das Apartment war sehr sehr sauber! Wenn wir nach Hawaii nochmal kommen, werden wir aufjedenfall bei Andrei und Jhanna wieder buchen. Danke für diese unvergessliche Zeit!

Living up on the hill has the advantage of nice temperatures and gorgeous views, plus you get away from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu and Waikiki. The apartment itself is small but has everything a couple needs, and it is all done in style. We absolutely loved the covered lanai to enjoy our morning coffees and evening beers. A 5 minute drive down the hill takes you to HI 1 and from there literally everywhere you want to go to discover the island. Don't forget the Diamond Head Hike which is almost right at your doorstep. It's a great way to start the day and then come back to your beautiful lanai to enjoy a healthy breakfast. We would definitely stay here again!

Jun 27, 2019My boyfriend and I spent 4 night in this place, and it is definitely enjoyable for both of us. Especially, the view from the backyard made this trip be more memorable. The only thing really freaked me out was the cockroach, I know we cannot avoid this situation because here is Hawaii, a tropical island. So if you are afraid of them, please be aware of this situation seriously. The location is very convenience, and it only takes 15mins driving to Waikiki beach, and 10mins to the closed grocery store. Overall, this is an amazing place, everybody should love it!
Jun 27, 2019Andrei's studio has been the perfect spot for our vacation. The place is way off the noisy part of the city, inside a peaceful and colorful residential borough up in the hills. Atmosphere was quiet and calm, with a brilliant view over Diamond Head and the Pacific. Car parking available 24/7. Easy access to the house. The patio was great. Very nice spot where to enjoy a beer looking at the sunset. The studio itself is minimal but has everything. Space for your clothes, very nice bathroom (great shower), and really a super equipped kitchen. We had chance to cook everything we wanted and also to prepare packed lunch. Brilliant. One small bad thing is that we have had some issues with insects unfortunately. In general, we had a great time at Andrei'a place and would love to come back in the future.

The views are outstanding looking down to the city below and the Pacific inviting you to take in just some of the beauty of the island. Jun 27, 2019Wow. Driving up to Andre’s is pretty steep but absolutely worth it up top. The view from his lanai is beyond words. The neighborhood is incredibly nice as well. Everything was very clean and proper. Would recommend staying here to anyone.

Jun 27, 2019Tolle Unterkunft in wunderschöner Lage! Die Unterkunft ist sehr sauber und die Ausstattung hochwertig. Alles notwendige zum kochen ist vorhanden (Gewürze, Töpfe, Pfannen, Kaffeemaschine...), ebenso Shampoo/ Duschgel. Es ist jederzeit ein Parkplatz vor dem Haus vorhanden und durch die Lage weit oben am Berg ist die Aussicht gigantisch. Würden jederzeit wieder kommen, haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt! Aloha!

Jun 27, 2019Andrei was out of the country at the time of our stay, but was a great host nonetheless! Jhanna was available to contact during our stay and was very responsive. The space was very clean, comfortable bed, and GORGEOUS view. The drive up to the house was very winding on our way up (per the GPS instructions) - we found the quickest and most convenient route was to the Wilhelmina Rise. 15-20 minutes to Waikiki, 15-20 minutes to Koko Head - a wonderful, central location! We ubered to Waikiki one night and it was under $20 as well. Definitely recommend!

Jun 27, 2019Great location, prepare for some fun hill climbs in whatever car you get. Local shops and restaurants are handy. Very pretty views of diamond head. You can sleep on the patio comfortably in rain and wind because it's deeply sheltered from the weather.
Jun 27, 2019Absolutely wonderful location, high above the city with great ocean and Diamond Head Crater view. Super quiet and serene. Short drive to many great places to eat and have coffee. Short drive to Waikiki and the Zoo, Ala Moana Shopping Center, Downtown Honolulu. Great kitchen space and perfect shower with great water pressure! Easy parking right in front of unit. Lovely covered patio to enjoy the view, rain or shine! Hosts communicate extremely well. Great experience!

On reflection place was probably a little small for 11 nights with a baby in tow. Only other negative worth noting was that place needs windows open constantly otherwise a musky smell creeps in.

Jun 27, 2019Certainly we choosen the place based on the positive reviews however we had obviously a different opinion. Place itself: Pictures are correct but place is smaller than one expects. Kitchen is luxerious but also small, things like a toaster are missing, everything only the minimum, 4 plates , 4 knifes, 4 forks, 4 cups some of them partly broken. The bed very small and dated. Highlight is the bathroom, very nice. As described place has only hawain windows no curtains so if you either need a rather dark lace to sleep or if the neighbors have a party (the bed is just next to the barbeque of the other tenants) you can imagine that it is not easy to sleep. Patio: Wunderful view. Furniture dirty and dated. Partly not cleaned. All of the above you may like or not however what we did not like at all was the existence of giant cockroaches in the kitchen and the habits of the so called „host“ how just replied that cockroaches are normal and that he informed about this. I assume he will reply to our review that everything what we say is nonsense and he is right.... We like airbnb but this place where it all about making money. That is ok but than at least the place should be clean and insect free.

Jun 27, 2019This space is in a beautiful location in a residential neighborhood, so it's perfect if you aren't into the touristy Waikiki scene and the big hotels. We used this as a home base from which to explore the entire island, and nothing was more than 1.5 hours away. The hosts were very communicative, though we never met in person. We appreciated having the opportunity to stay here.

Jun 27, 2019We booked Andrei’s place for 3 nights. On the second night we discovered cockroaches throughout the unit. This was outside of our tolerance for insects so we decided to leave immediately and book a hotel for the next 2 nights. We contacted Airbnb the next day to let them know about the issue and cancel. Unfortunately, they would only refund 1 night because we did not inform them the night we left (which was around midnight). Andrei’s place is small but well accommodated with high end finishes. The outside area is large and nice with an outstanding view.
Jun 27, 2019Fantastic apartment! My husband and I loved the location...the balcony is very romantic and a perfect place to sit and relax at the end of the day. The bed was very comfortable, and the apartment was extremely stylish. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare our own meals. My only regret was that we had not been able to stay longer!

Jun 27, 2019As this was my first AIRBNB experience I was a bit nervous on what to expect and didn’t know how things would be. I read every single review that people had posted and was a bit skeptical on how things would turn out to be. Most noted from what I’ve read from others but disagree with are 1) bugs: bugs were never an issue and we often left the door open. Occasionally a moth or two would show up but we never saw any ants or roaches or anything based on what I’ve read. 2) the view: the view was incredible and waking up to the ocean every morning and going out onto the patio to have a coffee was a very romantic touch for my fiancé and I. The only thing I would say is that if you are looking at spreading out and enjoy the luxury of having a lot of added space just verify that this place suits your needs. Jhanna the host does a great job at communicating and is readily available for any and all needs. I felt very pampered every step of the way and truly enjoyed staying there as a result from her great hospitality. Thank you for having us. We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely come stay here again next time we make it out to Hawaii. Mahalo!

Jun 27, 2019Located 280m above seal level on the Wilhelmina rise, this place has spectacular views of the Pacific and Diamond Head from the spacious and private lanai, which quickly became our favourite place. We stayed a little more than 2 weeks and found the apartment to be very well suited for 2. The local contact was excellent with quick communication and generous and effective support. Very helpful video to facilitate check-in. We can fully recommend this AirBnB.
Jun 27, 2019Our stay was great! Loved the close proximity to downtown without having to actually BE in downtown. The quiet neighborhood was great. The space itself was clean and neat. Loved the outdoor seating area where we could just chill and take in the views. Only “downsides” we experienced were that the room did get a little warm during mid-day but the fans provided were definitely helpful. Also, since the guest house we were in is so close to the ones around it, I did feel like we needed to be very quiet as well. I could see that being an issue for others but we really enjoyed the peace! All in all, great experience. I would recommend this little slice of heaven. Thanks Andrei and Jhanna!
Jun 27, 2019Amazing location in the hills with great view and a great little detached studio. we had a rental car so it was easy to get in and out of town. we also ubered to Honolulu one day (~$16). the space has pretty much everything you would need... our only small complaint was that the next door neighbor has a light on a sensor which kept going on and off throughout the night (mostly on). The bed faces the wall / window shutters that the neighbor's light is on. So it got pretty bright in the small unit. We just suggested some curtains to put up to darken out the place for us light sensitive sleepers. Other than that the place is quiet and wonderfully peaceful. Thanks Andrei, we would definitely stay again.

Everything from the kitchen utensils to the linens is of quality and the place is very clean. The neighborhood is nice and quiet and the breeze is enjoyable sitting on the lanai.
Jun 27, 2019This was a great quiet, private space to relax at the end of the day. The views from the private lanai were incredible. The lanai also included a couch, two oversized chairs, a bench, and a large coffee table. Great for enjoying morning coffee and evening appetizers. The studio had top end kitchen appliances so it was a nice place to prepare and enjoy a meal. The interior space was small but met our needs. However, the lanai with ample seating more than doubled the space.
Jun 27, 2019This is a really beautiful apartment with tasteful and unique decor. The bathroom and kitchen are spotlessly clean and very attractive. And the large, well appointed, patio is priceless. Add to that an absolutely stunning view of Diamond Head and the lights of Honolulu and it’s a great package at a good price. The only downside for us was that the neighbors are very close and you hear more of their personal life than you might want.

Jun 27, 2019Thank you Andrei for having us at your place. The checkin process was easy and the parking on premises was great. The location of the airbnb was beautiful! It was located up in the hills. Luckily we had a rental car to get around, without a car, the location can be far from the beach, food, stores, etc. The place itself was clean, slightly smaller than expected, but sufficient space for 2 guests. I was worried about insects but luckily had no encounter with bugs. We made sure to keep the area clean and not leave any food around. The view from the patio was spectacular and we enjoyed having breakfast there every morning. The guesthouse is located beside other homes so at times it could be a little noisy, but overall not a huge concern for us. Andrei was kind enough to allow us to have a late checkout which we really appreciated as our flight was in the evening. It was very easy to get a hold of the hosts. Thank you for letting us stay at your place!

Jun 27, 2019We loved our stay at Andrei’s studio! Just as advertised, we were treated to a gorgeous view of Diamond Head Crater and the ocean every day. It was also super private and quiet— perfect for a relaxing getaway. We were forewarned about bugs and were careful to shut the door every time we went in and out (we also used bug repellant after getting a few bites). There is no air-con but that was completely fine as it was never too warm at night. The space itself is stylishly decorated, clean, and full of thoughtful touches for cooking, cleaning, and even the beach!

We had a lot of rain during our visit but the area was protected and the view was amazing. Andrei and Jhanna were great on communication - they answered our questions promptly. We will be back!

Jun 27, 2019My husband and I started our Oahu trip here and LOVED how close it was to delicious restaurants and coffee shops. The view can't be beat for that price, the bed was super cozy, and the water pressure in the spacious shower was really nice. The apartment is situated between a neighbor's home and another tenant. The tenants are quiet and neighbors came and went during our stay but note - with proximity to their place you can hear them talking pretty clearly if that bothers you. The neighbors also installed motion detector lights that are just outside the studio windows across from the bed. They were on all night (probably due to wind and trees). Andrei provides blankets to cover the windows, but it does not really block the light. If you are a light sleeper, bring a sleep mask. Be sure to clear any food and keep doors closed unless you want to see a visitor ;) We didn't see any until the last evening, but the biggest cockroach I've ever seen still startled me (I'm a spazz). The studio is treated, but the tropics can bring in some creepy crawlers. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the cozy studio. The porch is a gorgeous spot in the morning to enjoy your coffee and watch birds in the neighbors' yard.
