This private Garden Studio, with separate entrance, is fully furnished and has a Queen bed, cable TV, and WIFI. There is a small kitchenette with a full refrigerator, microwave, dishes, pots and pans, blender, coffee pot, toaster oven, and more. It also includes linens, beach towels, and beach chairs. Guests are welcome to use my kitchen for more extensive cooking. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. We are within walking distance of two of the highest rated beaches in the world, Hideaways, and also across the street is famous Queen's Bath. Neighborhood Overview
Princeville is a development of some 500 acres on the north shore of Kauai, between the towns of Hanalei and Kilauea. What started as a coffee plantation in the mid-1800s is now the largest planned development on Kauai. Princeville is home to some of the finest resorts, golf courses and restaurants on the islands. Kauai’s north shore is also where you’ll find some of the most spectacular scenery in Hawaii. There are three main beaches in Princeville, which are Kenomene Beach, Kaweonui Beach and Puu Poa Beach. A wide reef along these beaches creates warm pockets for swimming and snorkeling in calm weather. Other area activities include tennis, golf, windsurfing, kayaking, fishing, sailing, helicopter tours and shopping. You can arrange for a private guided jungle hike, waterfall excursion or kayaking adventure.

Rules
Here are a few things that may be helpful to your stay. Please do not leave fan or lights on when you are not in residence. As in all resorts, no towels on balcony railing but on chairs is fine. Also observe Hawaiian tradition of "no shoes" in house. No loud noise or music after 9pm. Please rinse beach items off after use by patio shower. Please use rags under kitchen or bath sink to clean off Kauai red dirt (not bath or beach towels!). Do not take bath towels to the beach. AT&T phones get poor service here. WiFi available. Queen's Bath is right across the street. It is a natural volcanic lava pool. Please observe the warning signs at the top of the path. Always keep an eye on the ocean and stay off wet rocks as that means waves have broken over them. Also the path can be slippery when wet. The pool and hot tub are for your pleasure from 9am - 9pm. This place was clean, safe, and quiet. It is across the street from Queen's Bath. 10 minute drive to Hanalei Bay. Coral is very sweet and helpful. I definitely recommend staying here.
Jun 27, 2019Coral and Ian were great! They were there to greet us even though it was late! The pools temperature was perfect. The place was beautiful and welcoming. They had everything we needed, and even some snacks and sweets.

The room was exactly as listed and extremely comfortable, with more than enough amenities (comfortable bed, full bathroom, use of garden with fresh fruit, pool, beach items, wifi, and laundry) to make my stay very pleasant. Truly perfectly located on the North Shore in a lovely and quiet neighborhood, walking distance from Hideaway beach (15 minutes) and Queens Bath (1 minute) and an easy drive to local beaches, hikes and sites. I would certainly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a quiet, clean, affordable and comfortable room on the North Shore.

The room was exactly as listed in the description and was perfectly located. My husband and I would highly recommend staying if your travels lead you to the quaint north shore of Kauai.

Il correspond bien au descriptif, pas très grand mais confortable et avec tout le nécessaire. Coral est une hôte gentille, disponible et aidante. Une adresse que nous recommandons.
Jun 27, 2019We stayed for 7 days and enjoyed our stay. The good: location, location, location. Princeville is a desirable place. Coral and Ian are very nice hosts. Entry is completely separate from house. Bed is quite firm, but Coral has a thick foam pad you can use as a topper. The not as good: If you want to prepare and eat food in your place it is quite small, and the bathroom sink serves double duty.

The unit is as described- clean, simple & cozy. It offered ample privacy and felt like beach house living. We had an enjoyable & relaxing stay!

Coral was able to provide lots of helpful information about the area when we emailed prior to arrival. The rental was just as described and well taken care of. We would definitely stay here again.

Jun 27, 2019Both Coral and Ian are fantastic hosts. They greeted us when we arrived and an upper room was available, so we decided to upgrade to it during our stay there. It was a beautiful room in a gorgeous house. The house really is very impressive and worth a stay there just to see it. It is literally less than a block away from the trailhead leading to Queen's bath, so it's in a great location. It's less than 10 minutes drive to Hanalei and about 25 minutes from Ke'e State Park. The room was clean and had all of the things we needed to cook what we wanted while we were there. There is no air conditioning, but fans are provided. During the summer months I can imagine the room we stayed in would be quite hot, but it was about perfect in early November. I would definitely recommend staying here, and we will be back at some point ourselves.

Simple and adequately stocked room, was the perfect and affordable place for a solo traveler to stay. So quiet in the evenings you can hear your neighbors quite well, something to be aware of. I would stay there again!
Jun 27, 2019We enjoyed our stay at Asia House, it was a central location in Princeville and only steps away from the Queens Bath lava pool. The room was well set up, may have been a bit tricky to do a big cook-up but for cereal and sandwiches it was ideal. Coral and Ian were friendly and welcoming.

Jun 27, 2019This was a FANTASTIC location and our hosts were lovely! We went to the Queens bath everyday at low tide and it was right at their back door! The Nepali coast was magical, and we would stay here again, it was at the center of everything! The cookware was all functional and we used their setup everyday. Can't recommend It enough-

All the facilities are as described and very comfortable with plenty of of privacy. We could come and go as we please and the location to the Queens Baths, Hanalei Bay and the North Coast make this the perfect place to stay (with a car of course). In summary very hospitable and welcoming hosts with great knowledge of the area (even received an email for things to do on a rainy day from Coral), always happy to help to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Coral even let my son borrow toys to play with, helped me find a sitter and invited us to an Easter gathering. The Asia house is a beautiful house, with lovely gardens and pool area and situated in a very nice, safe neighborhood and ideally located. Zero complaints!
Jun 27, 2019I had a wonderful stay at the Asia house. The location, room, and atmosphere were wonderful. I enjoyed time in the pool and the hot tub I was so excited to see a pull up bar in the back yard! The welcome basket was a nice touch. The room is a short walk to overlook the ocean for sunset and to the queen's bath and it's a great spot to explore different parts of Kauai. Would definitely stay agin.

Jun 27, 2019Our stay in Coral's Garden Room was fantastic! It was clean, quaint, and provided everything that we needed for our 5 day stay. The location was great as well: right across the street from the Queen's Bath (highly recommended) and a few minutes drive from the best beaches on the north shore. Coral's hot tub was also perfect after a full day of hiking. Coral was extremely helpful, accessible, and thoughtful-she provided macadamia nut candies and water in the place of fruit from her large garden because the fruit was not ripe yet. Overall, the great stay made it a great trip!

Their home is beautiful and the room was clean, spacious and had all of the necessary amenities (and more!) that you could need. Coral and Ian were so generous and let us borrow some snorkel gear, boogie boards, and even helped me cut aome of their aloe plant for my fiance's bad sunburn! The location cant be beat as it is RIGHT across the street from Queen's Bath and 10 mins down the road from Hanalei. I highly recommend staying here. Mahalo, Coral & Ian!

Location is great; we enjoyed Queen's Bath several times; Hanalei is 10 minutes away. We love the north shore in the summer! Everything looks just as it does in the picture.

As I've been to the island many times it allowed me to do everything on the north shore that I wanted to do. Perfect home base to explore the area from. Thank you Coral and Ian for a wonderful stay. Bed was comfortable, fan and trade winds made the nights comfortable, and the welcome basket was delicious and appreciated!
Jun 27, 2019My wife and I went to the Kauai for my birthday and booked this room at the Asia House. We wanted to complete the Hanakapi'ai Falls hike on this short visit. Coral was very quick to respond and offered us accommodation. The hospitality was exceptional and Coral and Ian treated us like family in their home. We were especially grateful for all the amenities that came with this room. The room had a full size refrigerator that allowed us to chill our water for the hike. We had a large screen TV, wi-fi, microwave oven, toaster and dishes for use in the room. In addition, we had access to a cooler to take beverages along with us to the beach, a sun umbrella, beach chairs and many other useful items! Coral also offered my wife an awesome walking stick for the hike to the falls. After the long hike, we came back and treated our sore muscles to the jacuzzi. There is also a grill if you feel inclined to cook in the courtyard. Last, parking was free, and there is direct access (across the street) to Queens Bath which is incredible in the summertime. Be sure to also ask about where to sit back and watch the sunset from the cliff overlooking Queen's bath just a short 2 minute walk from the room.
Jun 27, 2019Our hosts were very welcoming and generous with their home! They gave us fruit from their trees. They were around and willing to help us with whatever we needed. The location is superb. It is a quiet neighborhood but not far from the "action" in Hanalei. Their pool was so very refreshing to swim in after a day of being out and about on Kaua'i. There are several beautiful beaches close by! They have everything you need for a great day at the beach. There is only one draw back here. The wifi is very iffy and not available in the room.
Jul 27, 2019Great location, the courtyard was beautiful, fresh flowers in room as well as a goodie basket with snacks and bottled water. Pictures were all very accurate. Ian and Coral were very nice and gave us lots of privacy. Loved having the pool to ourselves every evening. When booking, I knew we would be close to Queen's Bath but didn't realize that we would be at such an awesome location for sunsets. The neighborhood was very quiet in the evenings and this is probably the only place we have ever stayed in Kauai that we didn't get woken up by roosters. We stayed in the Garden Room, which got pretty toasty in the evenings with the west sun coming in. This may not be the norm as it was pretty hot on the island the week we were there and it was probably partially our own fault because we were not comfortable sleeping with the door open (nothing to do with the hosts - just my personal comfort level)

Son épouse, Coral est ensuite venue nous dire bonjour et nous faire part de différentes informations. Ce sont des gens remplis de générosité qui nous font partager leur lieu avec grand plaisir. Toujours là pour nous guider dans nos différentes excursions par leurs conseils judicieux. Son mari venait à l’occasion nous montrer les endroits de la place où voir une coucher de soleil fantastique et où plonger et se baigner à Queen’s Bath qui est juste l’autre côté de la rue. Comme le stationnement est pour seulement 8 autos, nous avions le loisir de profiter de tous ces endroits paradisiaques sans problème. La chambre est exactement comme décrit sur Airbnb. Le quartier est tranquille, superbe et riche. Avec le ventilateur, nous dormions très bien sans avoir chaud. La feuille de règlements à l’arrivée est à lire absolument… Elle vous informera sur comment obtenir des rabais au Foodland et aussi pour vous encourager à ne laisser traîner aucune nourriture afin de ne pas attirer les fourmis. La piscine avec sa cascade est comme sur les photos… paradisiaque. Coral nous donne des fruits bien mûrs de son jardin chaque jour à notre grand plaisir. On s’y sent accueilli comme si on faisait partie de la famille tout en ayant notre intimité et tranquillité. Coral et Ian font tout pour nous mettre à l’aise et rendre ce séjour heureux. Lorsque nous y sommes allées, Coral était en attente d’un nouveau routeur pour le wi-fi. Elle nous a donc donné le mot de passe de son routeur personnel pour nous permettre d’avoir internet. C’est un endroit à recommander surtout quand on veut voir le nord de l’île qui est la plus belle partie de l’île selon moi.
Jun 27, 2019Coral and Ian are pleasant hosts who give you space to come and go, do your own thing. You get a little room with bath, private entrance, separate from the main house, although all share an open atrium with pool and hot tub. They allowed us to wash clothes as needed. They provided some beach equipment. The only drawback is if you need WiFi, the one they have does not carry to the rooms. The house location is outside of the 4G networks so communication with the outside is frustrating. While access to Queen's Bath is across the street, it's a treacherous and muddy hike down the steep slopes without safety provisions. One sprained ankle and badly scraped back... This would be a lovely place for a winter vacation but is too uncomfortable with summer heat. My rating is lower due to the heat issues.

Jun 27, 2019Asia House is located in the beautiful and scenic northern area of Kauai. This was an excellent location to explore the rest of the island. Right next door to Hanalei Bay with restaurants and grocery stores only a 5-10 minute drive away. The accommodation had access to a wide range of amenities such as pool, hot tub, bbq, parking. We stayed in the Breezeway ground floor room and found the room to be spacious, clean and comfortable. The room also came equipped with a fridge and kitchenette, which was perfect for making light meals and pack lunches for hikes and day activities. Be sure to visit the Queen's Bath open lot which is only a 2 minute walk from the house and provides the most spectacular sunsets! Our host, Coral, was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back to stay at Asia House next time we are in Kauai.

Jun 27, 2019This little room was lovely. Comfy bed. No air conditioning, but a portable fan provided made things cool. The small courtyard pool/fountain/ fragrant flowers was very beautiful and welcoming each time we returned to the house. The hot tub was a god send after a long hike on the Na'Pali coast. Coral even left us a little basket of snacks and Ian offered some bananas from their tree~ all of which came in handy while out hiking. Also, the fact this house is right across the street from the Queens Bath trail was convenient. A nice first foray into Air BnB.

Jun 27, 2019Coral and Ian are lovely hosts very helpful and kind. The bed was comfortable. The pool and spa were well enjoyed. Just adjust your expectation a little because the room was smaller than it seemed in the photos and the kitchen was very basic. We stayed in a few places on the island and each had its pluses and minuses. Coral and Ian , pool and spa were pluses, but because we like to cook the kitchen was a minus. This is the perfect stay for vacationers who eat out.

We stayed in the ground floor unit and it was clean and spacious enough for us. The house design is pretty cool and even more impressive as Ian told me how he built it himself! The house sits in an uspscale neighborhood and best of all is directly across the street to the Queens bath trailhead.

Being able to do laundry was important to us as we were on a long trip and she was very helpful with that. And the hot tub was an awesome treat.

Jun 27, 2019This place is gorgeous!!! The house the was designed and built by the owner and its an absolute work of art. We stayed in a private room on the ground floor of the house with a large ensuite. The room is thoughtfully furnished to ensure the guests are comfortable. It had everything we needed and an extra bonus of absolute privacy. We were greeted with a basket of goodies including fresh fruit from their garden! We were even surprised one day with more fruit left by our door which was so good and very kind. The location is phenominal; the community is quite posh and close to several beautiful beaches and the house is located across from Queen's bath. Coral and Ian are exceptional hosts and really just want you be happy and comfortable. We would absolutely stay here again! Mahalo!
Jun 27, 2019Coral and Ian are very friendly, kind-hearted and generous. The lovely Japanese-Chinese style house is located in a decent neighbourhood, 10min drive to Hanalei Bay. After a slippery and muddy hiking on the Kalalau trail, the jacuzzi in the courtyard is a blessing for the calfs and thighs (of course after shower and scrubbing off the mud!). Try the breakfast on the nearby St. Regis terrace with its breathtaking view! Thank you for your hospitality!

The private room with private entrance had everything we needed, including beach accessories, cooking appliances etc. Her home is amazingly built and beautiful, with a wonderful patio and garden. It was great to sit outside at night and look up at all the stars. Coral is a great host and was always eager to offer advice and invite us to beach bbq's.

Jun 27, 2019The location and house was great. Even thought the north shore is a bit more cloudy and rainy we really enjoyed the vibe and location of the area. Coral had beach mats, chairs and an umbrella available if we chose for days as the beach which we really too advantage of. The room itself has a full size refrigerator which help to keep snacks and leftovers. It was a lovely stay!
Jun 27, 2019What an Amazing trip! Thanks again. The house is perfectly located. Right across the street from Queen's bath and within a 10 min drive to beautiful hanalei bay. Also it is really close to St regis resort (2min drive). I Highly recommend to go get a drink there and enjoy the beach. Coral and her family made us feel like home right away. They lent us surfboards and gave us tips on where to go hiking and finding good restaurants. It was really nice to meet everybody. We'll be coming back :)
Jun 27, 2019A wonderful place to stay!! We visited Princeville to attend a wedding and were thrilled to have found such great accommodations. Coral was welcoming when we arrived and was always available for questions during our stay. We were so busy with the wedding and wish we had time to talk with her more. We were often up early and out late. The room had everything we needed and was spacious for the two of us. It was wonderful that a cooler and beach chairs were available to borrow. Ben and I highly recommend the place and would certainly stay here again if we visit Princeville again.
Jun 27, 2019We had a wonderful time staying at Asia house! Coral and Ian were so welcoming and friendly and the place was beautiful. We loved waking up and coming home to such beautiful surroundings, with sounds of waves, birds, and frogs, and lovely gardens adding to the serenity. The room and small "kitchen" area fulfilled all our needs for small meals at home, and we were generously offered the use of the grill and house kitchen if we felt inspired to do more. On lazy days we enjoyed playing scrabble in the courtyard and watching the birds at the coconut feeder. We loved being across the street from the trail to Queen's bath and had several wonderful sunsets there watching the sea turtles and the endangered shearwaters (our best guess) coming home to roost for the night in the cliff banks. This was an amazingly good first experience with airbnb.
Jun 27, 2019The Garden Room was the perfect home base for our week of discovering the magical North Shore of Kauai. When we first arrived in the room we found a lovely bouquet of fresh tropical flowers cut from the grounds, including a gardenia, my favorite flower. The room was clean, quiet, comfortable and felt private. Even though the pool and hot tub are in a shared courtyard, whenever we wanted to use them we had them to ourselves. We totally enjoyed our stay in this beautiful location. Coral and Ian were very welcoming and hospitable, yet totally respected our privacy. I really enjoyed photographing the flowers and tropical plants with the gorgeous and unique home as a backdrop. The Queen's Bath was a short hike away and my daughter was thrilled to swim with some sea turtles there! We would definitely return.
Jun 27, 2019Coral and her husband were amazing, you can really feel the Aloha from them. The room and our experience had exceeded our expectations. It's stocked with everything you'll need. It's also very quiet and private. We enjoyed staying here in oppose to a hotel, it felt like a home away from home. I will definitely stay here again if I'm ever back in Princeville.

Coral and her husband make you feel like home and you can use all the facilities including an outside pool and hot tub. The studio is perfect for a couple and is located in a very nice neighborhood. I really enjoyed staying at the Garden Room (Asia House) and I can only recommend staying at Coral's place.
Jun 27, 2019We enjoyed our stay in Princeville at Coral's place! The location is where you want to be if you are exploring the North Shore of Kauai. Ian and Coral were really helpful and available all the time. Unfortunately, we checked out a day early to spend more time on the other side of the Island, but Coral sent us with the most delicious papaya from their yard! The Garden room can get a little warm, but there is a portable fan in the room, and keeping the windows open helped! Coral and Ian really made us feel at home and are lovely hosts! A good deal for the price you pay in comparison to the luxury resorts in the same neighborhood.
Jun 27, 2019Coral was fantastic. She left us a welcome basket and gave us fresh fruit from their trees throughout our stay. We had complete privacy, but also had complete access to their assistance if we needed it. The room came equipped with anything we needed to be able to cook our own meals, and we had access to the pool and hot tub which were nice. It's literally across the street from Queen's Bath, which is one of the main draws to Kauai, and very near all things northern shore. Amazing location, great stay, and awesome hosts. Highly recommend.

Jun 27, 2019Coral and Ian greeted us warmly upon our arrival and took care to show us our quarters and provided clear instructions on how to use everything in the apartment. They also shared information about their lovely home, which really might be listed as a Japanese ryokan, and with the hot tub, even an onsen! The comound (much more than a simple house) is fabulous, with a central courtyard with pool and fountain and designed and built by Ian in a traditional Asian (Japanese) style of architecture, with a delightful Hawai'ian garden with Japanese accents. The room is comfortable, if un-air-conditioned (but with a fan, it was delightful and no AC noise!) and fully equipped with a full-size refrigerator and all amenities (coffee maker, toaster oven, microwave) on a table one can use to prepare breakfast or snacks. Bathroom is large and comfortable. Room has bookshelves full of information on Kaua'i and what to see and do. Table in the garden is ideal for breakfast or cocktails in the shade after a hot day on the trail or in kayaks or on the beach. We LOVE this place!

Jun 27, 2019This is a beautiful Asian style property right at the top of the trail that takes you to the Queen's Bath. They have two rooms that they rent on their property and we ran into the other guests a couple times (they were always very nice). The room can get a little bit hot at night but they provide you with a nice fan, which helps immensely. Coral and Ian were friendly and almost always home and available as needed. Would absolutely recommend to a friend to stay with them next time in Princeville! Thanks!

Everything was as pictured, and the hot tub was really nice to crawl into at the end of a busy day. The location was perfect to visit Queens Bath and was close to shopping areas and restaurants. Coral and Ian were very flexible with us when we had issues with flights. They were very accommodating and made us feel at home. Thank you Coral and Ian.
Jun 27, 2019This was my girlfriends and I's first trip to Kauai and using Airbnb. We really wanted to see and experience Kauai the best we could. When we saw Coral's ad on Airbnb we knew it would fit all of our wants and needs. Upon arriving, we were welcomed by her husband Ian who took us around their beautiful property. Location is a huge plus with this hidden gem, it is only steps away from Queen's bath and a short 5 minute ride from Hanalei, which we frequented. The pool was beautiful, even though we only used it once. Coral does a great job in making sure her guests are comfortable. Her hospitality is in a league of it's own from offering fresh fruit she grew herself to local insights on what to do and where to go. We stayed in Princeville just before their winter months. It was mostly on the windier side, but it did not inhibit our travels. The only one recommendation we have is if you decide to take a boat tour to the Na Pali Coast to see the open-ceiling caves, go during the summer or when the swells are below 4ft. Whale season is just starting at the end of October, so keep that in mind too if you do decide to take a boat tour. Otherwise, here are our top 5 picks picks Kauai: 1. Kalalau Trail (bring shoes with traction!), 2. Ishihara Market for Poke (see Waimea Canyon same day), 3. Lawai Beach for Snorkeling (next to The Beach House), 4. Queen's Bath (sunny and low swells), 5. Kilauea Town (bakery, juice bar, lighthouse lookout). Enjoy your stay in Kauai! Mahalo!
Jun 27, 2019Asia House was a gem. I was so happy and felt so lucky to have found this place last minute. The room was spacious, clean, quiet, and within 2 miles of our favorite beaches. Our gracious host Coral provided fresh fruit from her garden, a small kitchenette, plenty of beach towels, body boards, and other beach essentials. Our vacation was too short, but this was one the most memorable vacation largely due to where we stayed. Thank you Coral and her husband for opening up their beautiful home to strangers.
Jun 27, 2019The Asia House was a very quiet and serene location. We enjoyed the amenities supplied by Coral and Ian. We were greeted by Coral and she showed us around. A lovely fruit bowl was provided and some snacks. This room has everything you need for a romantic getaway. If you are on a budget, the room is complete with a small kitchenette (hot plate, toaster oven, etc.). Directly across the street is the hiking trail leading to Queen's Bath (although that is not a trail for those who despise mud and tricky terrain). The location is very convenient, only minutes to Princeville and Hanalei. We would stay here again for sure.

Jun 27, 2019Princeville is an affluent area dominated by a large golf course, resorts and large suburban-style homes that has the feel of a gated community. There are some great beach spots in walking distance and many more a short drive away. The room is located in a beautiful and distinctive home and Ian and Coral are warm and helpful hosts. Be aware it's one room with a fridge and appliances, washing up is in the bathroom sink so fine for breakfast but limits full meal production. We really appreciated other features like hot tub and pool and lovely plantings and architecture. Overall an excellent value and a memorable spot!
Jun 27, 2019Coral and Ian are very knowledgable and have been long term residents. If you need anything or help with your trip be sure to ask them. They really want to make your stay great. This north location got us closest to the things we loved about Kauai and activities for when you want to relax or if you were in to exploring. Beautiful beaches all around you, great resort restaurants right there or beach towns with local fare. We also could make great breakfast at the room and then head out early to hike. Knowing we could come home to a great hot tub or quick dip in the pool was great too. Things stay moist here which I would highly recommend quick dry clothing. Really wasn't prepared for this like I should have been... Overall when you're in a paradise what could really be wrong?! Enjoy! ⛵️⛰

Jun 27, 2019I had a great time at this property. The grounds were lovely. For a place that does not have air conditioning, it was nice and comfortable. The garden apartment was clean and had everything you needed. The hottub was nice to use after a day of hiking. Queens bath is right across the street and was beautiful to see. Coral was very sweet and accommodating and gave much privacy. Great place for a great price. Check out Happy Talk a mile away for a gorgeous view with cocktails. Princeville shopping center is a mile away which made it convenient for last minute things to buy.

It was in a beautiful community, right near the Queen's Bath hike and was even walkable to a pizza restaurant. It had everything we needed plus a wonderful pool! Very accurate description and a nice get-away.

Jun 27, 2019Very comfortable and clean ohana unit in an enchanting environment on a cliff side at Princeville. The Japanese-style gardens are a joy, and guests can enjoy use of the pool and outdoor spa (with quite powerful jets!) Only drawback for me was not being a motorist, which meant the premises were a bit isolated. But that shouldn't affect most, and there is good parking. And Coral and Ian were more than generous getting me to the village and access to Hanalei transport. Ian even treated me to a tour up to the Na Pali coast! Highly recommended.

Jun 27, 2019Staying at Coral's was perfect for our vacation. The location couldn't be better, you are really close to Hanalai Bay, hideaways beach and the st Regis. Having a kitchenette and a BBQ to cook on fit our needs and we were able to eat there for a lot of our meals. Even though there are other people in the house, the unit felt really private, which was great.

The pool is really cute and nice! Princeville is also close to wonderful beaches. And so good to walk around , such a fresh energy coming from the ocean. Really pretty neighborhood. Jun 27, 2019Coral and Ian's place was great for our short stay on the North Shore. Coral was very helpful and accommodating. My husband was initially worried about no AC, but his fears proved entirely unfounded. He (and I) felt the room temperature was perfect. The fan that Coral provides circulates the cool ocean air wonderfully. I also appreciated that they allowed us to use their beach chairs, umbrella, and cooler. All in all a wonderful stay! Mahalo!
Jun 27, 2019Great spot! Quiet, in a nice neighborhood and walking distance to Queen's Bath. The courtyard was perfect, the first thing I did each day was go for a swim! Tourists note, most of the attractions advertised are on the south and west side of the island (closer to the airport) and beyond. We took a couple day trips for the 2+ hour drive, and hit everything strategically so we weren't driving around the island every day. Plan accordingly!

Jun 27, 2019The Asia House is a lovely residence surrounded by mature gardens and designed with aesthetic beauty. There is a delightful interior courtyard with a small pool and hot tub available for guest use. The guest studio is compact with a kitchenette and a comfortable bed. The place is generally quiet, although you can hear other people in the residence, for instance when entertaining friends, although the volume was not too loud. Coral and Ian were very helpful and hospitable hosts, who were available to answer my questions and provide items I needed to care for a bee sting I got while at the beach. They were also generous in sharing fresh flowers, fruit and herbs from their bountiful gardens. I was curious about all the plants growing in their landscaping, and Ian was kind enough to give me with an educational tour of his gardens.

The location is right across the street from the Queen’s Bath Trail. Five minutes away from local shops and restaurants. 15 minutes away from Haena State Park (Kalalau Trail). We enjoyed our stay!

The hosts are very nice and responsive. We got to enjoy their jacuzzi a bit, too. It's a super awesome stay. We highly recommend it!
Jun 27, 2019We stayed here for 3 nights / 2 days in the winter and it was perfect for our needs. The location is awesome if looking to stay in the north - close to Queen's Bath, Kalalau Trail, & Hanalei Bay. The garden house had the basics and everything we needed - private room, bath, fridge, kitchen utensils, etc + a great hot tub which was the perfect way to end our days. Coral and Ian were both incredibly nice and great hosts. We were mostly out and about across the island during the daytime. We did not have any issues and would absolutely recommend the room to anyone who wants a nice, calm place to call home for a few days on the north side.

The space itself is very clean and comfortable, and the location is ideal for getting around to nearby hiking, beaches, and restaurants. Highly recommend if you are traveling to this area of Kauai.

Literally across the street from trailhead to the Queen's Bath, all in all good Princeville location. The scary online reports of the trail to Queens bath are exaggerated. It should be approached with caution, and disregard for getting a little muddy, but really not all that tough.

Par exemple, ils nous ont cherché et trouvé une clinique médicale un jour de congé, et prêté des articles de plage en surplus de ce qu’îl y avait déjà de disponible. Coral and Ian are very good hosts and know exactly how to take good care while respecting our intimacy. They were very helpful in helping us find an open medical clinic on President’s Day. also gave us access to more beach gear than was already available. The place is as advertised, with on-site access to a pool and a spa, right across Queen’s Bath (good hike, but could be dangerous), in an especially magnificent neighbourhood, not far from shops and groceries. A very nice experience that we would repeat.

It's a short drive to Hanalei Bay for a family friendly beach, food trucks, and groceries, but you can also walk to several dreamy beaches right in Princeville. We walked to the very fancy St Regis for sunset drinks which was lovely, and the Queen's bath trail is right across the street! We loved our room and found it well appointed with everything we needed to make meals, relax in the hot tub, and rest after a long day of hiking and adventures. Coral and Ian are wonderful, and we would definitely stay here again. It's a perfect location and the house is a dream.

It is a wonderful location, easy for taking walks, visiting Queen's Bath, near a grocery store and other food and tour establishments. It was a great place to relax after a day of exploring and touring the island. Coral's communication was great, so we knew how to easily access the place since we arrived late at night. She was really responsive to items we needed during our stay. It is a peaceful house, with a relaxing pool and hot tub, which was just right for us.

It is steps away from the start of the trail to Queen's bath which we enjoyed very much. The courtyard and gardens of this home are gorgeous. We found the outdoor shower very convenient for washing off sand after the beach. We had a fantastic time in Kauai.

However, check-in was confusing with lack of communication and the wifi kept going in and out making it hard for me to answer work emails that I had to do. It wasn't working more than it was working. The location is great though, as well as the space. If wifi isn't a big deal to you and you communicate a few days beforehand about check-in procedure, then staying here would be a great option for you!

Jun 27, 2019The Asia house was a wonderful location and setting for our North Shore vacation. The pool and hot tub were wonderful! Coral & Ian were wonderful hosts and it was great to receive a welcome basket that included bananas from their garden! While the property is beautiful, the room isn't fancy but it is clean and provided all we needed during our stay. We stayed a week, celebrating our 25th anniversary, and we will likely stay here again on a return trip!

Jun 27, 2019It was an awesome location right by queens bath & a very cool house! The internet wasn’t working so that wasn’t great but I think that will be fixed soon! No air conditioning but the fan with open windows worked pretty well! We couldn’t use some of the kitchen things like a hot plate & toaster oven because the breaker would go before it finished making the food. It was a great location & the owners are sweet! They gave us fresh fruit & flowers on the arrival which was a great touch! We love Kauai & had a great time there. We weren’t home much but it worked great for what we needed!

At first I was worried about the place not having AC, but on my first night, quickly found out that the fan and opened window were enough to have a good night's sleep :) also, be ready to look up at the sky at night! The Milky Way is right above you :)

Jun 27, 2019We had a mixed experience here. The property was great; we loved the pool and hot tub in the beautiful courtyard. But the room itself was perhaps the dirtiest Airbnb I've ever stayed in. The bathroom rug was badly stained, the fan was filthy, the walls all need a scrubbing and perhaps repainting. If you're not bothered by cleanliness issues, then you'll probably like this place a lot. As far as location, Queen's Bath and Hideaways beach are both awesome destinations within walking distance (and both have parking challenges, so walking is a big advantage). Be aware that a lot of the most popular tourist destinations/activities are far away, especially with part of the North Shore currently closed. Waimea Canyon is two hours away; most tours like flying and ziplining are 45+ minutes. The nearby grocery store (Princeville Foodland) is the most expensive place on the island so stock up on groceries closer to the airport.
Jun 27, 2019This is an inexpensive place in a million dollar location. It has all the necessities. It’s not a luxury condo so don’t expect that. There were fresh fruits, snacks, and water in the room when we arrived. And flowers and orchids everywhere. The host, Coral, and husband Ian are very friendly and gracious. But they stay out of your way if you prefer privacy. The grounds of this huge house are similar to an arboretum. The en-suite bathroom and kitchen area are immaculate showing the care of a cleaner with very high standards. Look forward to returning if I can book far enough in advance to grab it.
Jun 27, 2019Corals home is beautiful and she is very helpful, responsive and accomodating. The main ground looks like a beautiful botantical garden and the pool is such a beautifully designed lovely addition. Being right across from Queens Bath is also really neat! Corals husband also gave us some great tips about local gems to visit. There are a few different rooms available. My friend and I stayed in a more modest room but it had everything we needed and we were comfortable. We spent most of our time outside on the property or exploring the island so a simple room was perfect, especially on a budget. It can be warm at night but the fan works well. I struggled a lot with the WiFi and had no cell phone service. I’m sure Coral would have reset the WiFi if we asked but for me it wasn’t necessary and I enjoyed being “unplugged” so to speak. My friend was able to get WiFi on her laptop, we just couldn’t get it on our phones for something reason. Overall this was a wonderful vacation spot!! Definitely check out the St Regis for sunset cocktails and the beautiful town of Hanalei!

Jun 27, 2019When you turn into the neighborhood in Princeville, you will realize you are in a very exclusive area of Kauai. My wife and I thought we took a wrong turn... We didn't. It's very very nice. The value I was getting increased 2-fold when we pulled into the location. Coral got me an amazing deal on a rental car. We do not require much, and our car wasn't much. But, it had 4 tires, A/C, great gas mileage, and pick up from the airport. If you just need a basic car, do not go to the rental places at the airport. Talk to Coral. The room was what we saw on the site. It's clean, comfortable, and is set up for you to enjoy a quick, small meal at "home" when you want to save some money or enjoy your own cooking. There is ground coffee and a machine which we used every day. Refrigerator, plates, utensils, blender (Yes, I made Pina Coladas in our room), microwave and hot plate. Everything you need. The rainy nights were an absolute joy. Hearing the rain on the big leafy bush in the front window was relaxing and gave that extra atmosphere of being away and relaxed. The grounds of Asia House are amazing and welcoming. You will love your stay here. My only suggestion would be a ceiling fan. The fan provided is adequate. Our last day was the most humid. My wife and just sat in front of the fan to get relief. A ceiling fan would be amazing. However, this does not change the fact that if we go back to Kauai, we are staying at Asia House. It's a real gem. I would not hesitate to recommend to anyone.
Jun 27, 2019Coral and Ian's home is a spectacular sight to see from outside and inside, their garden is impeccable and the neighboring homes in the area are also beautiful. Surrounded by the quiet golf course, this neighborhood is an escape from the beaten path, but also a stone's throw (quite literally) to the famous Queen's Bath hiking trail. We stayed in the lovely garden studio which was private and quiet. They supplied us with all the necessities we needed for a comfortable stay, fruits from their garden, coffee and condiments, and a nice sized fridge in the room. An indoor shower in our room as well as an outdoor shower to clean off the unavoidable mud from adventuring! We are so grateful to have had this quiet landing pad after long excursions with a firm bed to come home to. They have tips for staying cool and a fan in the room. We got to see lots of cute geckos climbing outside and explore garden critters and kitty cats. Very hard to leave!
Jun 27, 2019Coral and Ian are fabulous hosts and the property is really unique and beautiful, with above and beyond the amenities one might expect to find. The pool and hot tub were a big bonus, as is the super close proximity to Queens Bath. They offered good info about the local things we were looking for. And there was a welcome basket of yummy apple-bananas and granola bars when we arrived. Would definitely stay here again...thanks guys!
Jun 27, 2019The Asia House is an incredible gem in the North Shore of Kauai. The room is just perfect for two and has everything you need for preparing simple meals. The gardens are gorgeous and the rest of the house is spectacular. The hot tub was such a great bonus after getting very wet in a storm. As is mentioned in other reviews, the wifi is spotty but can be accessed if you move closer to the main house. I would absolutely stay here again and have already recommended it to friends!
Jun 27, 2019Amazing location, easy to drive to anywhere we wanted to go (Anini beach was our favorite). Coral and Ian were great hosts and responded to us whenever we needed anything. For example, they let us borrow their bbq on their back porch, and Coral told us to feel free to use her fresh herbs (including chili and thyme, which were amazingly fresh and delicious). The grounds are beautiful and interesting to explore and look around. It was very rainy when we visited so it was nice to have a hot tub to relax in when beaches were windy and rainy. The room was smaller than I expected but it is how it is pictured. The house itself is very beautiful and relaxing.

Jun 27, 2019Coral was a grata host. She was very responsive and had a wealth of information to share about the accommodations and local attractions. The room was spacious and was filled with freshly picked flowers and vegetation from the garden which was a lovely touch. Overall the location could not be beat! It’s right across from Queens bath and a short drive to many dining and shopping destinations. The one downside was that the WiFi and Verizon cell service was pretty spotty. I’d recommend walking to the golf course if you need to look something up or make a call.

Already if you enter the little courtyard, you feel good vibes - look out for some nice flowers and birds ;) The garden is an attraction, even it was unluckily destroyed by the last storm. But we would like to come back here. The location near the ocean is great. Also you feel totally safe there. Thanks a lot for having us!
