Neighborhood Overview
Barra da Tijuca is probably the most modern neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro. Barra will host most of the olimpic´s games in 2016 and is ready for tourists from all over the world. The beach is ideal for swimming, surfing, kite surfing or just sun bathing. There is a great gastronomy, bar options and nightlife so you don´t really need to leave the area if you don´t want, but of course if you want to visit the rest of the city you can easily reach "Zona Sul" (where Ipanema, Copacabana, Leblon, Sugar Loaf and Christ the Redeemer are) by bus or by cab.

My stay at Alines apartment has been absolutely fabulous. I was alone, working for the TeamNl Paralympics, so a lot of going in and out. Every time that I could come back to the apartment it was a safe haven with beautiful views, nice balconies for my cup of tea, clean, light, perfect bed, super nice deli style supermarket downstairs with good take away and cold beer. Aline is a great lovely host that really wants to make the best Rio time for you as a visitor. I can really recommend the apartment, location, Rio and host Aline! Thank you so much. I'll come back with my family.
Jun 27, 2019Aline estuvo siempre disponible y muy atenta. La ubicación es buena, justo frente a la playa. El supermercado de abajo es una gran ventaja. Si bien no es muy variado es de súper ayuda. El departamento es tal como en las fotos. Muy acogedor. Éramos dos mayores y un bebé y nos reaultó cómodo. El vecindario es un poco ruidoso, pero es por su cercanía a la avenida que une toda Barra. Los servicios del condominio no son del todo buenos, salvo a la pileta dónde se puede pasar un buen rato. El departamento es para tenerlo en cuenta y volver.

Nos recibieron como los dueños de casa y Aline nos preparó una recepción para toda la familia... Sólo palabras de agradecimiento por prestarnos su lugar por estos días!! Realmente un lugar para disfrutar y descansar... las fotos sólo muestran parte de lo lindo que es todo. Fuimos con nuestros tres hijos y se cansaron de disfrutar... playa, pileta, juegos... todo de lujo! Super recomendable!!!

Jun 27, 2019Recomiendo 100% este lugar, es excelente. El depto es hermoso, la vista al mar es algo impresionante. La zona de la playa es maravillosa. El condominio es fabuloso, mucha seguridad. La zona de pileta es hermosa con todas las comodidades. Y lo mas practico es que tenes un super enorme abajo que esta abierto horario corrido. Volveria sin dudarlo.

Jun 27, 2019Staying at Alines place was absolutely wonderful. The apartment was clean and comfortable with an incredible view and location. It is close to wonderful shops and services and a gorgeous Beach. Excellent for surfers! But best of all was probably Aline; she was hospitable, easy to communicate with and accommodating of our needs!

Jun 27, 2019Excellent place in a beautiful location. Aline made check in very easy, the place was very clean with a welcome bottle of champagne, fruit and chocolates. I would definitely stay here again. It's right on the beach with a nice cafe and grocery store on the first floor. You can't beat it.
Jun 27, 2019It seemed that the house was not cleaned before my arrival.Both of the bathrooms were not cleaned- the sink had a lot of hair/dirt, the shower had some dead bugs in them and hair, the soap/toothbrush holder which was filled with crust of dirt and toothpaste which was disgusting.In the closet there were underwear, and shirts left over from previous guests.The kitchen was filled with ants in the cabinets, near the sink, microwave, kitchen door everywhere!The refrigerator was not cleaned before my arrival it was filled with food stains and water all over it since the refrigerator leaks which causes the food to be all wet.In general the house was filled with dust.I was very disappointed in the fact that the apartment did not have a drying machine like it was stated in the listing.The appliances were old and did not work properly, the AC was there for decoration since it did not work.The hair dryer was also useless since it was made for an American outlet and there were no American outlets in the house.The host did not give enough information about check-in.I had to contact her about it and there was minimal information given.There were a total of three entrances to the building and since there was no explanation to which way to enter I went in a random one, and it turned out to be the wrong entrance for new guests to check in.During the check in process it was pretty long I had no clue that myself and all my guests needed to share our driver license numbers, make a copy of our IDs, home addresses, take a picture of ourselves in order to be able to check in.I communicated with the host that I was going to use the parking spot that she offered and that the doormen were asking for her to allow for that to happen so I could get a tag so the car could get in, well I NEVER got a response from the host so everyday once I wanted to park the car in the parking lot I had to talk to the doorman and it was a headache and it took a long time to get into the building.I stayed a total of eleven days in the apartment and I expected for there to be some basic cleaning which it was lacking.There was a lot of noise in the apartment from the cars that was unbearable at night.The building was old.Very overpriced for the lack of cleaning and for the lack of comfort that the apartment (URL HIDDEN) sofa bed had a strong scent of body odor and in general the apartment looked better in the pictures, the furniture were beaten up and old.It was great that it was a water front property but the only downside was the fact that next door there were prostitutes once it got dark.I contacted the host with some issues about that apartment but she answered only the questions she wanted to answer.
Jun 27, 2019El departamento de Aline es excelente. Tiene vistas privilegiadas de la playa de Barra, en un complejo con seguridad y un supermercado al lado que es salvador. Las comodidades del departamento son muy buenas para 4 personas. Y Aline siempre amable y disponible, además la gente de recepción atentos por si hace falta algo urgente. Volveremos pronto!

Jun 27, 2019O apartamento é localizado em um apart hotel , é espaçoso e bem localizado dentro da Barra da Tijuca. A vista é maravilhosa e para chegar na praia é só atravessar a rua. Tem um mercado embaixo que facilita bastante a vida inclusive para café da manhã. A piscina é muito boa! O restaurante anexo oferece um buffet mediano no almoço. O apartamento necessita de uma melhor manutenção na geladeira e aquecedor de água, no restante é confortável.
