Bright and spacious two bedroom apartment located in Soho along the famous HK escalator. Numerous restaurants, cafes and bars (including the Lan Kwai Fong district) are only minutes away on foot. All comforts are provided including clean sheets, towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair dryer, laundry, hand soap, full kitchen amenities and wifi.
Space
We will accommodate a maximum of 5 guests including kids/children (this does not include infants). Four guests fit most comfortably here so guest five will be charged $100HKD/night. The master bedroom (2 guests) includes a queen size bed, new mattress, blackout curtains and a large closet. The second bedroom (2-3 guests) has a double bed with a new mattress and a twin size sofa bed (also new!). We also have two travel cots available, a baby bathtub and highchair for guests with infants. Beds are super comfy and the shower is amazing. We know you will be comfortable here. We ask that you do not use more bed linens or towels other than what has been provided for you. This may result in an extra charge for laundry. Please ask if you need more. We also have a high grade water filter installed in the kitchen. Hong Kong water is safe to drink and this water filter makes it even more so. Try to use less plastic and drink the tap water.

Notes
Please be quiet and respect our neighbours. Particularly when you are in the hallway coming and going. This is not a hotel! This is a residential building. Please also keep the place tidy and clean up after yourself. There is a larger garbage/rubbish bin in the hallway stairwell and extra garbage bags under the sink. If you want to recycle, you can take recyclables one escalator down to the separation bins.
Transit
The Airport Express direct from the airport arrives at Hong Kong Station, which is only a 15-20 minute walk along the Shelley Street escalator to our place. This escalator goes up the hill from 10am to 12 midnight and down the hill for morning rush hour between 6am and 10am. If you have lots of luggage you may prefer to take a taxi from Hong Kong Station, which is about $40HKD. The Airport Express costs $100HKD/person and a taxi direct from the airport is about $350HKD. If you are arriving by train from China you will arrive at Central Station. This is also a 15-20 minute walk along the escalator or a $40HKD taxi ride. There's also big buses and minibuses that run along our road. Let me know if you have any questions on getting around HK. I'm happy to help!
Access
The building has a 24 hour doorman with key-less key pad entry on both the downstairs door and apartment door. Codes are changed regularly.

We're sure you will have a wonderful stay in this very exciting neighbourhood. Although our walls are pretty thick, please respect our neighbours and be quiet, particularly when you are in the hallway coming and going. This place is a gem! It's in the heart of everything from western restaurants to shopping to the nightlife district. It was still very quiet though in the building. The place looks exactly as the photos and was recently renovated completely. The concierge was helpful when we needed help. Tara was fantastic as well. She waited for us for over a 1.5 hours when we were late, gave us a thorough run down of the apartment and neighbourhood, and made some very good recommendations for places to eat around there in her welcome guide package. Would highly recommend this place and going with her suggestions.

Jun 27, 2019Die Wohnung war super! Sie ist sehr zentral gelegen. Von dort aus kann man in nur 20 Minuten bis zum Hafen laufen. In der Nähe gibt es sehr viele Restaurants und Bars. Die Wohnung selbst ist sehr gut ausgestattet (es fehlte nichts) und war für 4 Personen ideal. Auch die Gastgeberin war super freundlich und war für Fragen immer da. Ich würde diese Wohnung immer wieder buchen!
Jun 27, 2019Tara's Apartment ist der perfekte Ausgangspunkt um Hongkong zu entdecken. Auch für eine unkomplizierte An- und Abreise vom / zum Flughafen ist die Lage super. Der Bezirk Soho bietet viele tolle Cafés, Bars und Restaurants die man fußläufig erreichen kann. Die Ausstattung des Appartement lässt keine Wünsche offen. Alles hat prima geklappt. Wenn ich noch mal in Hongkong bin, bin ich auf jeden Fall wieder bei Tara.
Jun 27, 2019stayed at Tara's place for 6 nights as 3 adults and 2 children. quiet apartment with 24hr friendly doorman, located right next to the mid-level escalators, about 15 minutes up from IFC (easy access with a stroller with only a half-flight of stairs between Hang Seng Bank and the Central Market building). two grocery stores just down the street. 2 bedrooms with good cabinet space. plenty of sheets and towels. large open-design kitchen/dining/living room with good counter space. well stocked kitchen with coffee/tea/sugar. welcomed with bottle of red wine and fresh fruit. provided with baby cot, baby tub and high chair for the the little ones. umbrellas came in handy for the 2 days of rain. overall a very nice place to stay with family in Hong Kong.

Jun 27, 2019L’appartement est très bien situé près de l’escalator. Quartier branché plein de bars et restos mais situation très calme malgré tout car l’appartement donne sur l’arrière de l’immeuble. Entièrement refait, il est propre et moderne, très bien équipé. Une belle pièce de vie et des rangements. Je recommande fortement. Tara est très rapide à répondre également à toute question. Et en plus, nous avions une belle corbeille de fruits et une bouteille de vin qui nous attendaient à notre arrivée. Séjour parfait.

Jun 27, 2019My brother, a friend of mine and I stayed at Tara's place for just under a week. The location of the place is spectacular, the view is amazing (nestled inbetween so many skyscrapers) and getting in and out of the place is really easy! We had a bit of trouble checking-in, since we didn't have the apartment number in the information provided to us. That was not Tara's fault though.. When you come here, just make sure you get all of the neccessary info in advance from airbnb. The aparment was clean and well-kept and communication with Tara was easy and quick. She let us check out pretty late (3pm), which we really really appreciated! The only thing we didn't love about the place was that there sometimes was a bit of an odor coming out of the bathroom.. I'm pretty sure that isn't Tara's fault either though, it must be a problem with old plumbing. But there is a window in the shower, so it's very easy to just air-out the bathroom with the door closed! Over all we are very very happy with our stay at Tara's place and would definitely come again:)

Jun 27, 2019Tara’s place is absolutely fabulous. She also made it very easy foe us in terms of communicating super fast for any requests. Location is great. It’s nicely decorated with good lighting and art. The bathroom is modern and well kitted out. We cooked meals at home on the great stove. The apartment has everything you need, and is in one of the best locations in town. We highly recommend staying there (if it’s free!)
Jun 27, 2019This apartment provided me the perfect balance needed for a memorable holiday weekend. It was lose enough to access the vibrant nightlife, but far enough to enjoy a quiet morning respite. The space was cozy enough to lounge amongst friends in the salon, but large enough to provide two private bedrooms for a restful slumber. And Tara’s communiques we’re friendly and informative, but never intrusive or inflexible. I highly recommend this Cameo Court apartment as the place to stay as you enjoy all that the Midlevels has to offer.

Jun 27, 2019This apartment was exactly what we were looking for in HK: a central location away from the super-touristy hubbub, and with space for those stay-at-home moments you crave when you’re travel-logged. The place has a modern feel and included all the amenities one would need for cooking and relaxing, including filtered drinking water. We felt safe and cozy, and the building was quiet at night for restful sleep. Tara was very easy to get in touch with and provided responses quickly. I loved the location—super walkable to great restaurants, the zoo, Victoria Peak, and lots of public transit—but beware, if it is your first time to HK island and you want to walk from the subway/ferry, (Hidden by Airbnb) Maps won’t show you the amazing escalators and walkways that will make getting there a breeze, and you might get stuck carting luggage up many flights of stairs (as we did). I highly recommend staying here if you want to experience HK island like a local. Just remember to research the walking path, or take an alternate form of transportation if you’ve got heavy luggage!
Jun 27, 2019Tara’s place is a real gem - it is centrally located, right next to the Central Travelator, with the convenience of acesss to pretty much everything (restaurants, grocery stores and public transit etc. BTW we simply walked with our luggage to the place directly from HK Station which took <15 minutes). It is one street up from the hustle and bustle of the Soho district, in an area that is more upscale, largely quiet and family oriented. The place itself is very spacious and sparkly clean - we even had closet space! It is a place that we would like to stay again next time in HK and I would highly recommend to anyone, especially families with children. Tara is also a wonderful host who was very responsive to all of our communications. Thanks Tara!

Jun 27, 2019I wanna say it is a super nice place for you to stay, much beyond your expectation: a location 15-minute walk to MTR Central Station and to Lan Kwai Fong, two bedrooms (1 with 2 beds and the other with 1 bed) spacious enough to accommodate 5 people at most, a fashionably designed bathroom, a roomy living room. The place is highly recommended also for some details: it was rainy and cloudy during our stay, but with two small heaters, we were able to enjoy every single night; umbrellas, which was exactly what we needed during these days, were also available in the room; on the dinning table lies a guidebook, in which some restaurants with different flavors are listed. Tara is very hospitable and warm, and her response is always prompt. I'm looking forward to my next stay here lol.

Jun 27, 2019Well appointed 4th floor flat in a fantastic location right next to mid-levels escalator. Communication with Tara was super easy and check-in process was smooth even though we arrived late at night. It was very cold in HK during our visit, and since this apartment does not have central heating (similar to most HK flats that only have air conditioning but not heaters) a couple space heaters were made available to us which were a much needed addition to keep the apartment warm. Other than that, we had a great stay and highly recommend!
Jun 27, 2019Location is perfect. To those with lots of luggage, I would suggest to use 75 Caine Road as a place to let cars stop but it is only 30 meters away. The apartment is very clean and the shower water pressure is good. Supermarkets and stores and restaurants and city center is very close. Great place for a family

Jun 27, 2019As this was our first trip to Hong Kong, we didn't know which neighborhood would be best to stay. Don't think twice, this is the perfect spot to stay. Restaurants, coffee, taxis, public transit - all easily accessible. The apartment building is a 10 second walk from the mid-levels escalators, which is a huge plus, especially if you have kids. More spacious, comfortable, affordable and homey than any hotel. Easily recommend this spot in Hong Kong! Check in a breeze and great communication from start to finish.

Jun 27, 2019Stayed in April 2018 as a family of four (parents plus boys aged 11 and 13). The apartment was PERFECT in every way. 1. Location. Steps away from the escalator. Easy walking to "Old town Central" and also to the parks, Exchange Square, Peak Tram only 15 minutes.. the area is packed with interesting alleys and streets, boutiques, restaurants, cafes etc. There are well stocked supermarkets (all the US and Euro stuff), and even a great boulangerie across the road (pre made baguette sandwiches good for picnics) Taxis can be hailed in a couple of minutes... 2. So clean and and open. Full of light. Spacious kitchen/living room, comfy beds and pillows, great modern bathroom with very large shower area and great water supply. AC works great. 3. Well equipped: large fridge/freezer, glasses/plates/cutlery... dishsoap, cloths.. even shampoo and shower gel, toilet paper etc. Note, no microwave. 4. Lovely doorman. Very polite and charming 5. Tara is super responsive and helpful. Such great value! We will stay here again and recommend to all friends going to HKG!

Jun 27, 2019Tara is an excellent host, the apartment is is exactly as described and perfectly located next the the escalator.check in was extremely easy with precise instructions to gain access to the main door and apartment door.If you want a centrally located place to stay this is the one for you! Taxi drop off within close walking distance and lift access to the apartment,although located on a busy street the apartment is quiet. Well equipped with everything you need. Tara replied almost instantly to any correspondence although our stay was problem free.
Jun 27, 2019Clean, tidy apartment. Worked very well for a couple of guests. Location is perfect, quiet but just 30 metres from the escalators with bars and restaurants right around the corner. On a warm day it was great to be able to get from the Star Ferry and HK station to the unit via air-con malls and then up the escalators. Washer/dryer was very useful.

Jun 27, 2019Tara was a great host, responsive making the booking, and upon move in. They say in property Location, Location, Location, and this flat has it. Directly on the escalator. The door people were super friendly and welcoming. Excellent idea to have an electronic lock so forgetting your key is never an issue. We were especially impressed with the size and openness of your living space, with windows on both sides. This is a standout in HK apartments of this size, and the pictures didn't do it justice. We were with four, a couple and two grown kids, which worked very well. Having an apartment at this location allowed us to get fresh food in the wet markets just two blocks away and enjoy local food at home. This flat lets you do Hong Kong like a local. Jun 27, 2019Very thanks to Tara’s warm concerns! Tara is a really nice host. And It’s really a nice place for a family or even just a couple to stay. The location is really nice that it’s not far from the subway station and next to a bus stop. The fantastic thing is that you can enjoy the mid level escalator every day because the apartment is really close to it. As for the apartment inside, it’s very clean and stylish. It’s comfortable to stay that you can enjoy your music with fancy sound equipment. I also love the cafe nearby. Very recommended!!

The location was fantastic (after 5 days in Hong I can definitely say this is the best neighborhood to stay in) and the apartment was very comfortable, quiet, and clean - just what we needed after a long flight. There are a ton of restaurants and cafes to walk to nearby. The apartment has a nice shower, which was essential because it was SO hot that we had to shower twice per day. I would definitely stay here again and would certainly recommend it to friends.

Jun 27, 2019I visited Hong Kong with my wife and two kids (12 and 8) in July. The location is what makes this place special. It is located 100 yards from the Central Escalators that allow you to get Central easily. That is important in the heat when you don't want to hike up the hill. The escalators are also a great hub for small restaurants and shops. It was easy to walk to international ex-pat cafes or local only dim sum places (helpful to have basic Chinese). Tara's apartment was nice, clean and perfect for a family of 4, but would be tight for anymore.

The apartment is spacious and well furnished (for a family of 4). It has been our first choice of stay in HK. Tara is helpful and responsive. Highly recommend.

Jun 27, 2019This apartment is fantastic - not only is it excellent for families (I have two small children and Tara provided not just one but two cribs, a high chair and a baby bathtub) but great for anyone traveling to HK. As someone who used to live in Hong Kong (and so happened to live in the exact building as this apartment for two years) i love the location - as do the many expats who live / work in Hong Kong. It is especially well suited to foreigners (as it is very English friendly) wanting easy access to good western food/friendly environment but still have easy access local flavors or sights. Besides the numerous restaurants and bars in soho, if you want to cook at home there is a supermarket down the street as well as a Starbucks and a 24 hr McDonalds. Tara is also a fantastic host, doing her best to accommodate our arrival times and answering questions quickly and promptly. The apartment itself is clean, well decorated and spacious for Hong Kong standards. I would recommend this place to any of my friends!
Jun 27, 2019I stayed at Tara's place for a week with my three boys and it was perfect! You cannot beat the location. Literally steps from the escalators and minutes from the best restaurants in Soho. The apartment was beautifully clean, very modern and super well-equipped. If you're traveling with or without kids, it is just perfect. All beds were comfortable and the bathroom was fantastic - especially the shower! This is a very spacious apartment for Hong Kong standards and we felt very comfortable throughout our stay. Best of all, Tara is so helpful and super responsive. Whether it's your first time in HK or you're a repeat visitor, she is happy to help you navigate the city and feel at home in the apartment. An all round fantastic stay... You will not to be disappointed! We will be back for sure. :-)
Jun 27, 2019We had a very pleasant and comfortable stay in Tara's apartment during whole August! This accommodation met all our expactations concerning design and furnishing. There is sufficient space, linen and towels and kitchen equipment and dinnerware for four. The access is more than easy as you will receive a code from Tara to open the doors. The location is more than perfect to discover Hongkong. Right beside the building there is the Mid-Levels-Escalator that makes it easy to get around in Soho/Central in a easy way. You will find everything in short distance (e.g. bakery, supermarket, pubs, restaurants shops). Even when it is situated in Soho it is very quiet inside. Last but not least, Tara is highly responsive! When we had a question or needed some advice she replied to our E-Mails within minutes. We had a really good start! Thank you, Tara!

But, I will say that this spot is so amazing all around that after one night there I couldn’t wait to write a positive review. We stayed four nights here and had a great time. Tara is a great host in every aspect. I’d recommend her place to anyone visiting Hong Kong for any purpose.

Jul 27, 2019Couldn’t get a better location than this apartment! Everything you need is provided - the code lock is really useful when there are a few people staying - no keys worries! Great bathroom and comfortable couch. The second bed in the second bedroom is quite small - not for a tall person!
Jun 27, 2019I stayed with my two kids, wife and my mother and we had a fantastic time. Its an awesome place with well kept amenities, just a stone throw from the mid level escalators and lots of eating options close by ... and of course Tara is a wonderful host.

Jun 27, 2019We had a fantastic stay! The location was excellent, at the top of the escalators in soho surrounded by markets, food, and nightlife, great coffee shop next door, and an elevator with friendly doorman. The space was very comfortable with all the fixtures and amenities you could want. Filtered drinking water, shampoo/conditioner/body wash, dining table, AC, electric kettle, comfy sofa, rain shower, great speaker system with easy instructions for plugging in your own personal device. Beds were comfortable and there were extra blankets if needed. Highly recommended! We were a couple with a 15 year old and it was just right for us. Tara was a great communicator leading up to and during our stay. Would definitely stay again!
Jun 27, 2019Roomy (for HKG) two-bedroom flat, right off the escalators, in the heart of the nightlife (but quiet as the flat is in the back of the building) with a right jolly doorman--what more could one ask for?
Jun 27, 2019I highly recommend anyone visiting Hong Kong consider staying at Tara's place!! We stayed about a week here and felt homie at Tara's place. The apt is spacious, clean, quiet, bright, centrally located, has all the appliances you would need during traveling and the host is kind, easy to talk to, and fast in responding! Upon arrival, we found that the drying rack was broken so i sent Tara a message and she delivered a brand new rack from Ikea as soon as she could. We have stayed at other airbnbs in the city but Tara's was our favorite. Overall, we really enjoyed staying here for the apt, location and the great host and would love to come back next time!!
Jun 27, 2019Tara's place in Soho, a stone's throw away from the Mid-Level escalator, was a perfect place to enjoy Hong Kong. Everything you could need is on your doorstep. Fresh fruit and veggies from street stalls, bars, restaurants, hole-in-the-wall eateries, shops, art galleries, museums, Hong Kong park (and zoo), are all within a 5-minute walking radius. Go up the escalator to access the Peak walk/run (the queue for the tourist cable car is pretty close too). Before 10am, take the escalator down the hill to be in the heart of Central (after 10am the escalator changes direction and runs up the hill). Hong Kong and Central MTR stations take you to anywhere you want. Another 5 minute walk and you're at the ferries. Tara's place was very comfortable for our family - 2 adults, 2 teenagers. The beds were firm and comfy, the bathroom and kitchen were great, excellent lounge for gazing out the windows at the world passing by (but quiet too). Tara thought of everything, and was very responsive to our questions. We would highly recommend this place and hope to stay there again.

Jun 27, 2019Tara的房子位于半山電梯旁邊,但是有一段電梯壞了,如果帶著行李的還是推薦打個的士,樓下就有一個公車站,從銅鑼灣回來有車直達｡最喜歡的是淋浴設備,好舒服｡如果有用拖鞋習慣的要自己帶上,實際上Tara這裡基本都齊全了!
Jun 27, 2019This apartment is in the best location next to the mid level escalators. So easy to explore what Hong Kong has to offer. So many restaurants and bars to choose from within minutes from the front door. A very safe area. Apartment clean and a good size for a family of 4 (teenage boys). Good kitchen if cooking your own meal! Comfy beds! Good wifi. Highly recommended!!

Jun 27, 2019My parents, husband, and I stayed in Tara’s apartment during a week long visit to HK. We found everything to be accurate according to the listing and previous reviews: easy check-in/out, clean, spacious, great amenities, and convenient location. My only con is that it’s noisy in the second bedroom, I could hear cars and buses throughout the night but I slept with the a/c on to drown out the street noise. Otherwise, we had a comfortable stay and would re-book if we ever returned to HK and will recommend to our family/friends as well.

Jun 27, 2019这次的住宿体验可能是香港之行最棒的部分了,apartment的位置没得挑,非常适合年轻人出门逛街和吃饭,主要的港岛景点基本可以步行和地铁到达｡房间非常舒适干净,在Tara的指引下,打的士很方便就找到,即便有行李也不用走太多路｡但还是不推荐坐公共交通,香港的1km看起来很近,可因为是上下坡,走起来可能会很费力,尤其是有行李的时候｡Tips:如果是带老年人出行可能不是特别适合,因为中环电梯附近确实坡度很大,老年人反复走动会比较辛苦,此外一切都很完美!
