Rules
Please, No Smoking and no pets but apart from that, please treat the house as if it was your own. It's our family home and we want you to enjoy it as much as we do. Max 2 cars parking at front of house and guests to park at top of driveway as the private drive needs to accommodate neighbours cars also. Thanks.

We stayed at Aquila House over Xmas and NY in 2013 and had a spectacular time. The house is stylish and simple, with impressive water views and only a short walk to the beach. It managed to take 2 adults + 2 children + various other family members and friends with kids for BBQs without seeming crowded. My sons were amazed to hear kookaburras and have a couple of parakeets come down to join us on the terrace at breakfast. Susie the owner was very straightforward to deal with and added some really thoughtful touches to welcome us (Xmas tree, hamper, list of best cafés and restaurants in the village). Just be aware that you should rent a car to get around, same need if you stay anywhere outside of the very centre of Sydney to be honest. I highly recommend Aquila House for a genuine summer break.
Jun 27, 2019A very welcoming host as we were greeted with a much appreciated hamper of food and Christmas crackers when we arrived and the use of the car was very useful! A lovely area of welcoming neighbours and a selection of good shops/cafes, just a steep walk to the beach unfortunately which wasn't a problem for us, but perhaps the more elderly or young would have issues with. The house was as described and in a beautiful location on the northern beaches with the morning sun on the terrace for breakfast! Overall we had a fantastic family holiday here and would come again.
