The nearest metro station “Parallel” services both the purple line for Sagrada Familia or the green line to Plaça Catalunya, Camp Nou stadium, Passeig de Gracia for Gaudí and artsy Gracia district with Güell Park at its crest. Jun 27, 2019We stayed here 9 nights in April. Oscar (the host) was great. He helped us carry our luggage to the apartment (4th floor) and gave us plenty of Tipps and suggestions what to do during our stay. The apartment itself was nice, clean and very new. Unfortunately the recent renovation caused some inconvenience. The hallways had a strong chemical smell due to the fresh paint. Also you could still hear some construction going 0 in other parts of the building. These initial problems are likely to be sorted out soon, but as of now i can only give it 4 star. Overall we had a great time in Barcelona.

The place is bright and comfortable, and his recommendations are totally spot on! I also appreciate that he allowed us to check out at a later timing due to our late flight. Jun 27, 2019First of all, we have to say that Jon is a very friendly host. We had a late check-in and he waited for our appearance late at night. He gave us a lot of interesting and worth seeing tips for locations, bars and restaurants to visit. We could change our check-out in the last day of our stay without problems. Jon arranged this in an uncomplicated manner. The flat is very nice and functional furnished. All equipment is very new. The beds have comfortable mattresses in which we could sleep very well. In striking distance you will find bars and shops frequented by residents. Even the view from the small balcony over the roofs of Barcelona is a visit worth. A breath-taking view in Barcelona’s real life! We recommend this apartment without retention and will rent it again for our next stay in this unique town. The location is convenient - within walking distance to a number of great restaurants and bars, and about a 15 minute walk from the airport shuttle bus. Jon and his niece Olivia were fantastic hosts, very welcoming and helpful, and Jon's recommendations for places to go in the area (particularly for paella, tapas and vermouth) were great. We had a lovely time staying in the flat, and would highly recommend to others looking to have a holiday in Barcelona. Thank you!
Jun 27, 2019We had a fantastic stay at the apartment. Nice and simply renovated with everything you need to have a comfortable stay. Jon gave a great detailed map and restaurant suggestions, which was a big help. Highly recommend the "Pinchos" on Carrer de Blai (La Tasqueta de Blai) and also Agust which is on Carrer del Parlament, all in easy walking distance. Be aware there is no lift and 4 flights of stairs, but this didn't bother us as we needed the exercise
Jun 27, 2019Olivia - Jon's niece - was there to welcome us as Jon was away and was very warm, friendly and helpful. She even carried my case up 4 flights of stairs as I had a knee injury. Lots of local information and maps were provided. The flat was just like the photographs - bright , clean and comfortable. Although small, it was well designed and felt spacious. The air con worked efficiently - much appreciated in the hot weather. It is in a fantastic friendly neighbourhood with lots of restaurants and small supermarkets - the cafe across the street was great for brunch and dinner. We were able to walk easily to main sights or take the nearby metro. Olivia also gave us good tips and was easy to contact. we would definitely recommend Kerrisdale holdings and would stay there again if visiting Barcelona. The stairs can feel a bit tough at the end of the day - but we didn't mind the exercise.

Jun 27, 2019I have been a frequent visitor to Barcelona since one of my best friends moved there seven years ago, and this is one of the nicest apartments I have stayed in. Poole Sec is a fantastic neighbourhood to be based in to make the most of the city - lots of great local restaurants and bars but much more chilled than the old town, with Montjuic and all that has to offer on the doorstep. This apartment was beautifully decorated and had more than enough space for my little family which made for a really luxurious stay. The beds were super comfy and the little balcony a great spot to relax. Communication was spot on in advance of our visit and made our arrival easy and stress free. All in all the perfect weekend break - we will be back!
Jun 27, 2019Its the second time I stayed with Kerrisdale Holding. What can I say: it was the best choice again!!! Jon is a great host - friendly, super responsive and helpful. The appartement was exactly as on the pictures. Perfect for our stay, wonderful furbished up, clean and quiet (which is a rarity in Barcelona ;). We felt like home and we didnt missed anything. Jon gaves us great insight and information for our stay in Barcelona and I would definitely come back and choose him again.

Jun 27, 2019This is a great apartment. We were a group of 2 couples and the space worked really well for us. We really liked the neighbourhood - lots of good bars and restaurants close by and easily walkable to the gothic quarter etc. The flat was really clean and we had a lovely welcome on arrival. I would happily recommend this as a good spot to locate yourself to explore Barcelona for a few days. The host Jon was also very communicative - thanks Jon!

There is a fantastic little info packet in the apartment for tips on spots to check out in the neighborhood. The neighborhood is fantastic! One word to the wise - there is 4 flights of stairs to be climbed. Manageable but somewhat dreadful ;)

Jun 27, 2019We had a great time staying in this apartment. The host was excellent, it was nice to speak English to someone:) The apartment was in a great location. It was close to a bunch of cheap bars and restaurants and was fairly close to the metro. Our host also mentioned taking a walk a few blocks away from the apartment to get a great view of the entire city. We wouldn't have known about this otherwise. I also liked that this area wasn't very touristy. It was refreshing to have some quiet.

Jon and Ana were fantastic hosts with plenty of great suggestions to discover Barcelona. The apartment itself was very comfortable, bright and airy, with lovely views. Highly recommended!

Quimet y quimet a must try tapas place in poble sec. Accomodated extra hr for late check out. U get a sense of city life in bcn. Markets close by. Note room a little small but comfy. Note stairs steep esp if you have lots of luggage. Electric stove not easy with large frying pan.
Jul 27, 2019Our place was on new la rambla which is quite quiet though everything was about 15 or 20 minutes away. A beautiful brand new flat though it's on the 4th floor so be prepared to climb 71 stairs daily. If you left the doors open the air con cools the rooms down well. Ana was amazing lovely and genuine and her recommendations were fantastic. Thanks for a great stay!

The apartment was clean, well furnished, well kept up, modern, but also in such an idilic place We loved the position of the apartment; sitting on the balcony was our favourite bit watching all the lives go by. Jun 27, 2019The apartment is exactly as described, newly refurbished, comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen and high spec. shower room and TV. Everything you need is provided for you as though you are (Email hidden by Airbnb) munication from the host is very well, they would be in touch every step of the way. Questions were answered almost immediately through (Hidden by Airbnb) . I made a mistake by leaving the keys inside the keyhole when I left the flat but the problem was fixed without issue by the host. This is by far one of the best Airbnb experiences I've had. Highly recommend to anyone who visit Barcelona, the apartment is big enough for 4 people with 2 rooms. One point to note, it's a 4th floor apartment , stairs would be slight steep for some people but I had no issue. Thanks for the lovely experience to the host Jon and Ana.

She gave us a map and explained where we can go, what we should visit and etc. The flat is rather small but very clean and bright. All that is needed was inside including Nespresso coffee machine!!! The location is perfect: very close to the street with different cafes and restaurants, 5 minutes walk to the metro station Paral-Lel. We really enjoyed staying

Jun 27, 2019The apartment is so stylish and a calm refuge in the city. The host (Ana) was amazing, preparing a list of recommendations and always on hand by (Hidden by Airbnb) to give further tips. There are some incredible places to eat and drink within just a few minutes walk, and a Metro station close by for trips to the more touristy sights. We got to feel like we were locals, not just visitors. A few details that might be useful to future guests: there are no locks on any bedroom/bathroom doors in the apartment; the walls are fairly thin so you can hear people coming and going in the stairwell in the building; and when we stayed there were sheets not duvets on the beds - but it was plenty warm enough. None of this bothered us and we really appreciated this classy space for a slow start every morning and to come back to and enjoy every night. I wish we'd stayed longer!

Would highly recommend for 2-4 people. It is noted in description but there are 4 flights with narrow steps to get up. Not an issue but helpful for luggage considerations.

It was also in a great location - just round the corner were the best cafes were you could eat pintxos (a must) and most attractions were walking distance or a very short train ride away. The only con was the noise - I would make sure you take some earplugs (which we luckily had) as the people upstairs were very noisy and also the stairwell can be too. I would still stay here again though!

May not be central but subway is easy as is even walking or biking the city as we did. Our host had excellent food tips and made checkin and out smooth.

The location is ideal for sightseeing and night life in the city and close to bus and metro stations. The bed and sofa are very comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. The interaction and communication with the host was excellent! I would recommend staying there.
Jun 27, 2019Diese Unterkunft ist hinsichtlich vieler Punkte nahezu perfekt: tolle Lage, sichere Nachbarschaft, Sauberkeit, sehr ruhig, hell und viele Ausgeh- und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten um die Ecke! Letzteres ist insbesondere von Vorteil, wenn man nach einem langen Tag nicht mehr durch die ganze Stadt möchte, um ein gutes Restaurant oder ähnliches zu erreichen. Die Wohnung liegt super - zum einen direkt am Montjuïc, zum anderen nahe Hafen und Strand, also auch ein hervorragender Ausgangspunkt für Läufer, die jeden Morgen eine Laufstrecke suchen! Der Checkin und die Kommunikation rundherum kann man als perfekt bezeichnen - Ana hat uns sehr nett empfangen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder! :)
Jun 27, 2019The apt was fantastic, clean, and bigger than expected from the pictures. The two bedrooms were spacious with full/queen size beds that were comfortable. The bedrooms were not next to each other as I thought but instead were across the hall/living room from each other. Ana, the host, was great with check-in and check-out. She also provided a comprehensive list of recommendations for sightseeing, restaurants, bars, hangouts etc that were cross referenced to a map. The map was very helpful.

Jun 27, 2019I would highly recommend this apartment if you want to experience Barcelona as a local. The neighbourhood of El Poble Sec has a great vibe and some of the best eating places in the city, and it is only a short walk to the bus and Metro which will take you quickly to any part of the city. Ana provided excellent food recommendations, some literally a few steps from the apartment. She also provided a warm welcome and kept me up to date on things to do and places to visit. The apartment itself has a contemporary feel and was exceptionally clean and had all the necessary items to make for a great stay. Thank you!

Jun 27, 2019Lägenheten är rymlig, mysig och välutrustad för att vara i Spanien. Badrummet är fräscht och utrustad med både stor vattentank (annars vanligt att behöva duscha kallt i Spanien) och tvättmaskin! I köket finns en espresso-bryggare vilket jag som svensk uppskattar oerhört då det spanska kaffet är allt annat än starkt. Att börja morgonen med en espresso på balkongen var ljuvligt! Sovrummen har sköna sängar och kuddar och vetter inte ut mot gatan vilket gör det ganska tyst (förutom att de spanska husen har lite klena väggar men det kan man knappast lasta ägaren för). Det fanns också en karta med trevliga restauranger och barer i området. Vi provade några och det visade sig vara toppen! Utöver detta var värden oerhört gullig och erbjöd sig att komma med medicin när jag blev sjuk! Summeringen är att detta är ett så mysigt boende och jag skulle lätt kunna boka igen om jag återvänder till Barcelona. <3
Jun 27, 2019The apt was very clean and was located in a quiet area, which was nice. Montjüic is very close, a pretty hard 30 minute walk, but is well worth it. Ana was great at check in and with recommendations. I had an issue with the host as I sent a message regarding an early check in and an extra guest a few weeks before my check in to which they never responded. When I was finally able to get WiFi prior to my check in, I had several messages from airbnb support stating I was late for my check in, when I wasn’t because it was not yet 3pm-the time stated as regular check in on the host’s page. Then after check in, I received another message from airbnb support stating as I had discussed with and agreed to with Jon, I would pay $25 additionally for my guest. This conversation never happened. Instead of communicating directly with the guest, the host chose to keep going through support. The headache was an annoying side note on my otherwise great vacation. Nice place to stay, just be prepared.

Ana was incredible, attentive from our arrival to when we left, even setting up a taxi to get us to the airport on our departure day. She had great recommendations on where to go, especially some good restaurants we never would have found otherwise. Would stay here again.

Jun 27, 2019The Apartment is only 20 minutes walk away from Las Ramblas und some more to the port. The subway and the bus is 5 minutes walk and there are a lot of small restaurants just 1 minute away from the Apartment for tasty Pinxos! Ana was really friendly and helped us with a lot of tips for Barcelona.

The communication was excellent, while we had a little emergency at the apartment Ana had come straight away and helped us. We were recommended many local spots, we have tried a few and they all were excellent! Thank you Ana for the great local experience at Barcelona!
Jun 27, 2019한국어 후기가 없기때문에 한국어로 작성할게요. 출발 전부터 John과 Ana가 계속해서 피드백을 주기때문에 도착해서도 어려움 없이 체크인이 가능했어요. 첫 에어비앤비라 걱정 많이 했는데 깨끗하고 안전하고 편안하게 지냈습니다. 그릇,냄비,식기 모도 준비되어 있고 욕실이나 세탁시설도 잘 되어 있어서 좋았어요. 2베드를 선택한건 정말 잘했던 선택이었고요. 5박을 지내면서 불편했던게 하나도 없어요. 다만 엘리베이터가 없다는 것만 체크하시면 될거 같아요. 세심하게 신경써준 Ana에게 고마워요.

Jun 27, 2019This is a wonderful flat in an ideal location and a great value! The neighborhood has fantastic dining----many great Tapas places right on the same street.--- and is only a 5 to 10 min walk to the metro which will take you anywhere in the city! Download the "moovit" App for public transportation. It's much more useful than the Maps App if you want to use the metro (which I recommend) You are also walking distance to Montjuic Castle and park which is very fun! The Tram that takes you to the beach is also located in that area. You can also walk to Las Ramblas or take the metro one stop. Super convenient location. The Flat was very clean, comfortable spacious and quiet. The pictures featured are accurate. It is on the 4th floor w/ no lift----so keep that in mind if you have any physical problems getting around. But if you're in normal good health it's no problem at all!! The Flat has everything you need for an easy stay. Full Kitchen w/ basics like salt pepper oil coffee etc. Washer , Hair dryer Shampoo soap towels etc. The Terrace is very nice to enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of wine. Anna was prompt and easy to communicate with---she even called us a cab for our final trip to the Airport! She also provided a detailed map and an extensive travel guide w/ a list of restaurants, bars, shopping, tourist attractions and a break down of the various neighborhoods!! We referred to her guide many times during our stay! All in all this is a fantastic place to explore Barcelona from! I highly recommend!!

Jun 27, 2019The apartment is gorgeous, comfortable & spotlessly clean- would definitely recommend staying here. Walkable distance to the centre plus lots of cute cafes & restaurants nearby (the flat itself was nice and quiet though). We really enjoyed drinking coffees on the sunny balcony! Communication was easy and friendly- Ana took the time to talk us through the local area which was really helpful. Things to consider: Plenty of space for 2 people, might be a bit cosy with 4 adults! Also it's up 3 flights of steep-ish steps (was fine for us but something to be aware of).

Jun 27, 2019Location was outstanding. A quiet, local neighborhood away from the chaos, yet close to everything. Very close to what became our favorite restaurant - Boca Oreja, and we enjoyed walking through the El Raval neighborhood on our way home, discovering great little watering holes. Although we didn't meet Anna, she was amazing and everything everyone says - joyful, responsive and very helpful. She left us in great hands. 5 stars all the way around.
Jun 27, 2019Very nice unit with a ton of added amenities. The area is diverse and full of great food options. Communication was excellent and check-in was a breeze even with a delayed flight. I would highly recommend. Be aware the unit is several floors up.

Jun 27, 2019Amazing location! In a quiet, residential area but walking distance to everything (or a quick metro ride). One of the highlights was a pedestrian street right beside the condo full of amazing restaurants and cafes, there must have been 30 or more restaurants within a 5 minute walk! Comfortable beds, good black out curtains and good air conditioning. I'd say the only small negative is due to the fact it's an older building, you can hear the neighbours above walking around and when the bedroom doors are fully closed, the rooms can get warm. But the easy solution is leave the bedroom doors open to access the AC. Hosts were very friendly! A nice little balcony to sit and enjoy a drink. Just remember, it is on the fourth floor with no elevator. We managed with carrying our baby and stroller up each time, so it wasn't an issue. I highly recommend staying here and would stay again!
Jun 27, 2019We had a great stay in Barcelona this passed week. We were greeted by Ana who was a pleasure. Very friendly, on time and helpful with plenty of tips for food and entertainment etc.. She also responded to our requests/questions immediately. Our only issue was the lock on the main door! its stiff and pretty hard to use but its very solid and made us feel very safe inside. Great experience all in all.

Just a small note - it's on the fourth floor without elevator (as mentioned in the description) - just keep in mind if you have lots of luggage.

The place was very clean and had everything we needed to stay comfortably. Ana went above and beyond to make sure that our visit was filled with the best food and experiences. We feel very lucky to have had such welcoming hosts and a beautiful place to call home for our stay in Barcelona.
Jun 27, 2019We really enjoyed our time at this apartment. It is in a great location with lots of restaurants, a five-minute walk to the metro, and grocery stores relatively close by. It was also nice to stay in a little residential neighborhood where you feel like you are a part of the city. Our favorite part was the neat little balcony where we could sip some wine in the evening and relax. The apartment was nice and neat with a working air conditioning. The hike up all of the stairs was a bit tiring but good exercise. Ana was very helpful and provided a list of recommended restaurants and shops in the neighborhood along with a map.

The location was within walking distance to everything we could have needed-metro, restaurants, supermarket etc. The flat was very modern, a little tiring to get to it being a walk up, a lot of stairs! But worth the journey! We were given a very detailed list of local spots and the ones we did go to did not disappoint! Very nice touch and it was very appreciated! We had an excellent stay and would highly recommend as long as you’re willing to climb quite a few stairs! Thanks for being our home away from home in the beautiful Barcelona!

Jun 27, 2019This apt is a gem! Great location, lots of wonderful restaurants nearby, sparkling clean, great amenities and fabulous hospitality from the hosts. Ana greeted us and spent time showing us where things are in the apt, reviewing a list of great places to consider during our stay (prepared maps and info for us!!) and answering our questions. She and Jon were both very responsive and easy to communicate with. The AC works well (although we didn't need it much in Oct). The location was a quick 5 min walk to the metro and about 10-15 to Las Ramblas. Great neighborhood, felt very safe. I highly recommend you book this apt if it's available! I guarantee you will love it.

She was very flexible with our check in and check out times and kept an open line of communication during our stay. This location was close to lines of public transportation to all the tourist attractions but still had a neighborhood feel. We were walking distance from some great tapas places. I would highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Barcelona!

The location is great because it's a quick walk to a metro stop but the neighborhood is a great up and coming area with a large pedestrian street full of great tapas and bars. Kitchen is small but would work for small meals. A lot of steps!

Also, be aware as they will ask you for a photograph of your passport that the host keeps in his private cell phone. It is better to check in at a hotel. Save yourself the headache.
Jun 27, 2019This apartment was amazing for our week long stay in Barcelona. It was well connected, but a little bit away from the hustle and bustle so it was a nice place to rest. It was very clean, and had anything we could possibly need. Jon and Ximena were very responsive and the guides to the neighborhood and Barcelona that were provided were very helpful. The best part of this Bnb was that two streets down was an incredible street great for drinks and cheap delicious bites to eat.

Jun 27, 2019This was one of the most positive AirBnB experiences I've ever had, from check-in to check out. We were met during check-in and the host showed us around the apartment and gave us our key, the apartment was extremely clean and VERY cute! We had complimentary coffee and cookies, towels, access to a washer, and super comfortable beds. On top of all that, the location was amazing. There was not a single place on our itinerary that was more than a 15-20 minute walk away. Lastly, the host was so kind and quick to respond to any of our questions. I'll definitely be looking to stay here again during my next trip to Barcelona!
