Neighborhood Overview
Poble Sec is located just next the mountain of Montjuic, not to be missed for its several museums (Miró Foundation, MNAC, Caixafòrum, Ethnological Museum, Archaeology Museum, etc.), the Olympic Ring, the Castle and the cableway, its wonderful views of Barcelona and for being a green escape to the bustle of the city (and to heat in summer). The area is very well supplied: supermarket right in front of the apartment, the best artisan bakery in the neighbourhood just next door, two butchers (one of them organic), fish shop, drugstore, banks and playground for children, all just within a 100 meters radius (more facilities a bit farther). The neighbourhood is a lively and trendy one, with plenty of cafés, bars, restaurants, theatres and concert halls to enjoy the city from breakfast to evening, either alone, in couple, with friends or with kids.

Excellent location: subway at walking distance (3-5 minutes away to Poble Sec stop, green line (L3), which takes directly to the city centre – 4 stops to Plaza Cataluña - the Sants rail station - 3 stops - and to the Camp Nou Stadium), Plaza España/Fira de Montjuic/Aerobús stop to the airport at 10-15 minutes walking or 1 subway stop away; walking distance to the Ramblas, Raval, Sant Antoni market and Colón/Drassanes. Yamila appartement was just perfect for us! The location in Poble sec is very close to BCN city center and the neighborhood is so quiet without any traffic like everywhere else in the city The appartement is very clean, well equipped with very recent furniture, 2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms, 2 balconies, 1 terrace, large kitchen and lounge. Yamila was a perfect host with us also. I fully recommend this appartment

Jun 27, 2019Awesome accommodations! Huge apartment that was obviously recently renovated and well maintained. The building is in a residential (read: non-touristy) part of Spain so if you are looking for a real taste of local culture this is the place to stay. 2 blocks from the subway and we were downtown in just a couple stops. The apartment is in building with a common courtyard (common for the style). The other people that live in the building were very friendly and helpful answering any questions we had. My son was even able to play with the other children (despite the language barrier). Awesome experience -- would definietly rent again.

Jun 27, 2019The apartment is exactly as pictured. Very spacious, comfortable, and clean with a well equipped kitchen and nice terraces on both levels. The neighborhood is well situated - it is not at all touristy but close to transportation at Plaza España and Poble Sec metro stops so you can easily get to all the places you want to visit. We stayed here for 3 nights with our two children and found it perfect. We were able to walk or take the metro everywhere we wanted to go, but have a quieter place to sleep and relax. There is a park down the street and a supermarket directly across. Xavi met us on arrival and was very nice and helpful throughout our stay. When my husband accidentally left a few things in the apartment, Xavi collected them and met us upon our return to Barcelona a few days later to return them. Thanks, Xavi! It was a great stay in Barcelona and I would definitely recommend the apartment to anyone looking for space and comfort in a close but quieter neighborhood.

Jun 27, 2019Cristina and her friend Yamilia did a wonderful job of making us feel at home and were also very helpful with other miscellaneous necessities (calling us a taxi to take us to the airport on departure). The duplex was very nice and spacious, clean, charming, outfitted with everything we needed, with comfortable beds and a very nice kitchen (with an induction cooktop!). The property is older and there was some remodeling noise for a few hours from the neighboring apartment, which we could hear through what seemed to be a shared skylight, but it was very brief and not a concern (unless noise privacy is a very high priority, which it wasn't for us). We didn't even use the third bedroom with bunk beds, but it would be ideal for a family. The metro was close enough, and the bakery just downstairs, together with the grocery store literally across the street, were a wonderful convenience. We went nearly everywhere by metro, and the location was central enough that at the end of the day, if we were too tired to make our way back by metro, an easy cab ride back to the apartment never exceeded 8 euros (which would've been the cost of the metro for all four of us anyway). Overall, the apartment was a nice, comfortable bargain for family travel - not the most modern, but charming and fully met our needs.
Jun 27, 2019Appartement trés agréable et trés bien situé à 2 pas d'une station de métro et de la place d'Espagne. Toutes les pièces sont très agréables et les terrasses aussi. Supermarché en face et excellente boulangerie au pied de l'immeuble. Immeuble très calme. Pas de cafetière électrique ni d'essoreuse à salade mais l'électroménager est top. Déco soignée. Merci, nous avons passé une excellente semaine !

Jun 27, 2019Espectacular! El piso era grande, confortable, limpio, y muy bien equipado, sobre todo en la cocina. Es un piso luminoso con terracitas perfectas para comer fuera, y un silencia muy apreciable durante la noche, una maravilla. El piso está super bien situado, hay un supermercado en frente y una panadería muy buena justo al lado, la acogida fue perfecta y la logística (entrega y recogida de la llave...) muy sencilla. Muy recomendable.

Jun 27, 2019The Hous is great. It´s a super cosy place in a nice neighborhood. You find evrerything you need in the House, plus you got two terraces and a padio. It is super located, everything you need is close, Supermarket, Bakery and Restaurants just in front of the Door. Metro station around the corner also the placa espanya Montjuïc a few minutes walk away. Yamila (friend of Christina) is a great host, she was super nice and open for every question we had. She also called us a taxi to take us to the airport at 5! in the morning. We will for sure come back and book that place again. Would totally recommend that House for a great stay in Barcelona. Thank you.

Jun 27, 2019Lovely, rather bohemian apartment. Clean, comfortable and well equipped. A working electric kettle would have been useful. Very well positioned to walk to Rambla, beach/harbours/ Mont Juic. Clear instructions how to get there. Parking available in the street which is free in the month of August. Otherwise it is approx Euro 2.5 per hr, max 2hrs on the street. There is private, secure parking at Euro 40 per 24hrs or you can park for free at the university and metro back to Poble Sec.

Jun 27, 2019Yes we were welcomed nicely by Yamila. Other than how to work the stove top, her information was very good. The space suited us very well. Enough beds for all 4 of us. Other than the top of the staircase being very dangerous, we were very comfortable The neighbourhood was fine. A convenience store right across the street is fabulous. We found several good restaurants nearby as well. We used the hop on hop off system for our 2 day stay rather than the metro and with a couple of cab rides to pick- up points , we managed very well & really liked being above ground to see the sights rather than in a subway.

Jun 27, 2019We were 6 friends for a long week-end in Barcelona. We were welcomed by the host on the time of our arrival and she explained all the necessary about the apartment. Sheets and towels were provided. Everything was clean. Wi-fi works good. One of the 3 rooms doesn’t have curtains and the light wakes you up early in the morning. The apartment is located close to the metro Poble Sec (150m), so it is easy to get to the center or the train station quite fast (10-15 min). You can also get to the center by foot (25-30 min). You can find some restaurants in the neighbourhood that are clearly cheaper than in the center. There is also a supermarket just across the street and a bakery not far. A really nice, spacious and quiet place to stay for a visit of the town. Not too far from the center and the proximity of the metro is really convenient. Hosts are really nice and accommodating. Thank you !
Jun 27, 2019Famille avec 2 ados, nous avons adoré notre première expérience dans un appartement loué par Airbnb. L'appartement est très propre, bien équipé (avec WiFi) et situé dans un quartier sympa. Boulangerie, magasins et station de métro tout proche. Et un accueil très sympa par Yamila qui a pris le temps de nous donner des conseils pratiques (adresses de restos dans le quartier). On ne peut que recommander ce logement, idéal pour explorer la ville!

Jul 27, 2019Nous avons passé une superbe fin d'année 2014 et début d'année 2015 dans l'appartement. Celui-ci est grand, bien placé, au calme, avec un accueil et un départ bien organisé. Et puis la boulangerie de bons pains juste en dessous, c'est simplement génial. Tous les commerces à proximité, c'est très bien aussi. Tout comme la station de métro. Excellent séjour. Pasamos un maravilloso fin de año 2014 y principios de 2015 en el apartamento. Esto es genial, bien situado, tranquilo, con una bienvenida y salida bien organizado. Y luego se hornea pan bueno justo debajo, es simplemente genial. Todas las tiendas cercanas, eso también está bien. Al igual que la estación de metro. Excelente estancia. We spent a wonderful year-end 2014 and early 2015 in the apartment. This is great, well placed, quiet, with a welcome and well organized departure. And then baked good bread just below, it's just great. All shops nearby, that's fine too. Like the subway station. Excellent stay.
Jun 27, 2019Appartamento esattamente come da foto e descrizione in un quartiere un po' popolare ma tranquillo e ben servito a 20 min a piedi dalla Ramblas e da Barcelloneta. Lo avevamo scelto per la vicinanza a Plaza de Espanya visto che tutti e 4 correvamo la maratona ed è stata una scelta azzeccata. Appartamento pulito, luminoso e spazioso, fornito di tutto il necessario per un soggiorno confortevole. Yamila che ci ha accolto è stata gentilissima e ci ha dato anche dei consigli sulla città e sui posti da vedere. Lo consigliamo assolutamente.
Jun 27, 2019We loved the apartment! Nice and clean and centrally placed with all the equipment we needed - even for the baby we had with us. Very close to supermarket, bakery and fish market, and playground. Nice area, 600 meters from Font Magica/Montjuic. Christina was very helpful before arrival, and Xavi was most friendly and helpful while we were there. He even managed to get back a wallet we lost in a taxi. Highly recommended!

Jun 27, 2019Wir waren zu dritt in Cristinas Wohnung und hatten eine schöne Zeit dort. Yamila, die uns in Empfang genommen hat, ist sehr sympathisch und hilfreich. Der Austausch mit Cristina und Yamila im Vorfeld verlief schnell und reibungslos. Die Wohnung ist mit allem ausgestattet, bis auf eine Spülmaschine. Sitzen im Patio oder auf der Terrasse im 1. Stock mit einem schönen Glas Wein oder morgens zum Frühstück ist klasse. Wenn wir erneut nach Barcelona fahren, kommen wir gern wieder. Das Viertel ist sehr angenehm und alle Einkaufsmöglichkeiten schnell zu erreichen. V.a. lokaler Bäcker im Nachbarhaus und Metzger einige Häuser weiter sind zu empfehlen. Auch die Nachbarn sind sehr freundlich. Einige von ihnen feiern gern bis spät in die Nacht. Bei offenen Fenstern lässt sich dann nur mit Stöpseln schlafen. Aber die Wohnung ist sicher eine der ruhigeren Unterkünfte in Barcelona. Unserer Meinung nach ist die Wohnung ideal für 3-4 Personen oder eine Familie mit Kindern. Es gibt einen Raum mit einem KingSize Bett, ein Kinderzimmer für 2. Der dritte Raum ist für eine Person gut geeignet, ist zur Treppe in der Wohnung nur mit einem Vorhang getrennt und hat ein Dachfenster. Herzlichen Dank nochmal an die lieben Gastgeber
Jun 27, 2019Nous avons séjourné dans cet appartement en avril 2015. Couple avec des enfants en bas âge (1.5 et 3.5 ans) + la grand-mère, nous avons adoré cette première expérience airbnb ! L'appartement été vraiment idéal pour nous : propre, spacieux et super bien équipé ! Pour les enfants, tout était là pour leur petit confort : lit bébé, chaise haute, jouets, planche pour les WC, bcp d'espace et un coin lecture qu'ils ont vraiment adoré. L'appartement et bien situé et au calme. Les petits plus : la boulangerie et le supermarché sont à 2 pas de l'appartement ainsi que le métro. Nous avons été accueilli par Yamila qui nous attendait à l'arrivée avec un grand sourire. Un tout grand merci pour tout ! Tatjana & co

Jun 27, 2019Accoglienza perfetta da parte di Yamila, che ci ha indicato alcuni ristoranti non turistici doeve andare a mangiare (due li abbiamo provati, veramente fantastici!) La casa è in un quartiere popolare, ma molto tranquillo e collegato benissimo sia con l'aeroporto che con il centro città. La casa era come descritta nell'annuncio, unico neo, per noi, il patio che pensavamo più carino e raccolto (invece era un mini terrazzino incassato fra le case e scoperto). Se posso dare un consiglio, lo imbellirei un pochino e magari metterei qualche pianta. Per il resto siamo state benissimo, gli spazi erano comodi e la casa ordinata e pulita. Yamila ci ha anche cortesemente permesso di lasciare i bagagli a casa e fare il check out nel pomeriggio del giorno di partenza. Disponibilità, gentilezza e cortesia. Ottimo.
Jun 27, 2019We had a wonderful visit and stay at Cristina's place in Poble Sec. My husband and I and our two girls, aged 6 and 7, stayed for a month. We couldn't have found a better place. Yamila let us into the apartment and answered any questions we had. The apartment is perfectly situated near a metro stop with easy access to anything you would want to see or do in Barcelona. There are great places to eat nearby and a small supemarket, pastry shop, butcher, fresh fish place, and a general store sort of place all on the same street. There are some great and friendly neighbors as well. There is a nice outdoor eating place off the kitchen. All the basics are covered and we were able to make meals in the apartment without any issues. Took us a minute to figure out the stovetop but after finding the instructions in English online we realized if it was blinking at us there wasn't enough weight and we needed to move the pot or pan to a smaller eye. We had a problem with the washing machine and called Xavi who was accommodating and over within an hour to check it out. He also collected the keys our last day and was as easy and wonderful to work with as Yamila. We even had some family members come visit in the extra bedroom, which did not have an AC unit but was fine with a fan - at least for the month of June when we were there. Having the second bathroom when we had guests was nice too. I would highly recommend this place for anyone. I appreciated that what you see is what you get. The pictures are exactly what you will see and have in the apartment. No surprises.

The apartment was very well equipped with everything you needed, towels, dishwasher... even water on arrival and this was much appreciated as we were hot and thirsty. The apartment is very well located within walking distance of the metro and in a pleasant area. The flat is as described and spacious.

Jun 27, 2019Unsere Gastgeberin war in Urlaub, hat aber im Vorfeld (über Mail- und Telefeonkontakt) für einen Ansprechpartner gesorgt. Die Schlüsselübergabe erfolgte problemlos. Die Wohnung liegt im sog. Arbeiterviertel in der Nähe der Metrostation "Poble Sec". Die eingestellten Fotos entsprachen der Realität. Die Wohnung befindet sich mit etwa 40 anderen Wohnungen in einem sog. Hinterhof. Die Nachbarn waren sympathisch und nett. Gegenüber der Wohnung befindet sich ein Supermarkt. Fußläufig gibt es noch andere Einkaufsmöglichkeiten wie z.B. ein Bäcker oder Restaurants.
Jun 27, 2019Nous étions 2 couples et avons passé une très belle semaine dans ce logement , rien de négatif à dire. Épicerie, boulangerie, poissonnerie et fruiterie tout est à moins de 1 minute a pied. Pour les attraits touristique si vous aimez marcher c'est l'endroit idéal . Si vous ne voulez pas marcher c'est parfait aussi car il y a le métro tout près . Xavi qui nous a reçu était très gentil . Je conseille fortement cet endroit très spacieux.

Logement spacieux, nous n étions que 3 mais il peut facilement accueillir 6 personnes. Nous avons été très bien guidé par Cristina puis accueilli par Yamila et Xaviera. Je conseille cette location. Cependant, les photos donnent une impression plus positive de l'appartement que la réalité; une des deux chambres manquent complètement d'intimité, ce qui pourrait être réglé en faisant transférant cette chambre dans une pièce quasi de rangement qui est inutilisée; l,appartement est vieillot, ce qui pourrait être acceptable, si des efforts étaient consentis pour remplacer tout ce qui est désuet et demande des réparations, somme toute, mineures: rideau de douche à quelques euros, changé de couleur et pas du tout invitant, cafetière à expresso qui a 100 ans...pleins de petits éléments brisés ou pas adéquats: lumière dans l,escalier, bout de plancher brisé, barure de porte brisée. Bref, il y a des limites à vouloir faire de l'argent: quelques centaines d'euros investis rendrait ce logement beaucoup plus acceptable. La dame qui nous a accueillie n'est pas en cause; elle est aimable et l'appartement avait été bien nettoyé, mais reste douteux quand les épouses refusent de prendre une douche parce que le rideau est blanc-brun...Finalement, je crois que AIRBNB n'est pas assez présent dans le rapport avec le locateur: il n'y a pas de standards suffisants pour garantir l'acceptabilité du service. Disons que c'était passable à acceptable, mais d'un point de vue affaire, le service peut être bien amélioré

Jun 27, 2019Appartement conforme à l'annonce : propre, spacieux, calme. Nous étions 5 et très à l'aise grâce la disposition en duplex. A 5 min de la place d'Espagne, au pied de la colline de Monjuic, à 2 pas du métro Poble Sec et une vingtaine de minutes à pieds des Ramblas ou du port, l'emplacement est excellent pour un séjour touristique. La prise de contact et l'accueil de Yamila a été sympathique et chaleureux. Une bonne adresse à Barcelone.
Jun 27, 2019The apartment is very spacious and nice. Kitchen is very well equipped and beds are comfy. The area is awesome. Excellent bars and restaurants just around the corner and a good supermarket right in front of the door. Bus/metro stops are very close too. Wifi is great and the apartment is very nicely decorated. Kids (and grandmom) loved the chill out corner downstairs. Communication with Cristina and Yamila was better than I ever would have expected. Great week.

Jun 27, 2019The apartment is very spacious and nice decorated. We were 3 couple and our staying was very comfortable . The metro / bus station is so close to the apartment. You can also find anything you want to this neighborhood.. Yamila was a great host ! We had a great week in Barcelona.
Jun 27, 2019Cristina's home worked perfectly for us. Although it is a relatively small space it felt spacious for the five of us. The entrance is through quite a dark courtyard and arriving late at night it did give us pause. But during the day you realize it's an inner courtyard accessed by several apartments, full mostly with families from what we could see. The kitchen had everything we needed for simple meals, the bathrooms worked perfectly, the little reading nook was a favorite space, and the air conditioning in the two primary bedrooms was appreciated as it was a hot week when we stayed. The middle room with the couch that turns into a bed didn't have air conditioning and it took some thinking to get air flowing through that space. We liked the neighborhood as it feels like it is full of locals, not tourists. There are restaurants all around as well as markets and shops, making it very simple to keep everyone happy with food. The metro and bus stops are within a few blocks and very convenient. Both my sister and I used the bus to go to the airport (40 mins or so), though a taxi from the airport was only about 25 Euro. Noise does travel easily from apartment to apartment in the courtyard but I was impressed by how well everyone stuck to the quiet hours. From around 11 at night until around 10 in the morning there was very little noise. I would happily stay at Cristina's again, both for the comfort of the apartment and the authenticity of the neighborhood.

Jun 27, 2019we were so happy with our stay. they flat was very clean spacious the kitchen and the whole flat was well stocked even with water and kitchen roll - very good with kids! we had a great time there really liked the area and the friendly communication leading up and during our stay. The outdoor space is overlooked by many other apt which is fine but maybe something to note if you have small loud kids! thank you for having us!
Jun 27, 2019We had a fabulous time in Barcelona. Staying at Cristina’s house was the perfect place to explore the city and surrounding area. Yamila gave very good directions prior to arriving at the house, and additional advice on arriving by public transport to the house. The Poble Sec metro station is only 5 minutes away from the house that connects to the airport via the train or you can catch the Eurobus to Espanya. It is only a 10-15 minutes walk away. All very easy. The house was beautiful & everything described in their advert. It was situated in a secure gated community with other residents which felt very safe. It was clean and easily accommodated 6 adults with plenty of space to sit & relax, both in the house or outside on the downstairs patio or upstairs on the 2 balconies. It was a great base for to discover the city, with all the main shopping areas, museums and cafes in easy access either by walking or by Metro. We tended to walk into the city, and catch the metro back. There was a small supermarket across the road, plus many local shops nearby including butchers, fishmongers, bakery and a 24-hour shop. We had no issues during our stay, but Yamila was easy to communicate with, and responded quickly to confirm our leaving plans. We would fully recommend staying at Cristina’s house.

L'hôte a été très empressée de répondre à nos questions et à nos besoins que ce soit pour imprimer des billets pour des visites touristiques ou encore pour nous donner des références en raison d'un problème médical. L'appartement est très bien situé, à proximité d'une station de métro, d'une boulangerie, poissonnerie, boucherie, épicerie et pharmacie. L'appartement est spacieux et les deux salles de bain dont l'une avec bain et l'autre avec douche sont très pratiques. Nous sommes enchantés de notre séjour. Nous n'avons aucune hésitation à recommander cet appartement. Un gros merci!

Les 2 belles terrasses et le balcon permettent de profiter d'une situation au calme, en fond de cour. Facilité à proximité : supermarché en face, boulangerie à côté, métro à 2 mn à pied.
Jun 27, 2019our trip was wonderfall and cristina house was even more. we couldn't ask for more. the house was spacious,clean,comfortable and really domestic. the location was also great and we used the bakery and the supermarket(5 meter away!) every morning. at our next trip to barcelona we absolutely gonna check the possibility to rent again cristina, home and also recommend friends that looking for place at barcelona (: thank you and yamilia very much!

Législation barcelonaise compliquée, couleurs autorisées ou non, du coup atterrissage à la fourrière...Donc pensez à suivre les indications du loueur pour rejoindre un parking "officiel"!! RAS concernant l'appart, pour pinailler: la 2ème chambre double manque d'intimité car ouverte sur les escaliers donc pas d'isolation phonique possible. Nous remercions Christina mais surtout Yamila qui s'est occupée de nous sur place!

There was a supermarket across the road and a fab bakery right next door! The apartment was very comfortable with lots of homely touches which made it feel like a home away from home.

Jun 27, 2019The apartment is everything we expected and what you see is what you get. The pictures tell the story, it was clean, it has a lot of space, the little terrace in the backyard is just perfect to relax on after a long day walk. The metro station is indeed super close to the apartment and in 2 stops you are on Rambla and Columb's Monument is in plain sight. There's a shop right across the street and a larger one around the corner. There is even a pizza place next to it. It took us about 45 minutes to get there from the airport, but it's a simple route. Overall, the apartment is great, the hosts are lovely people and very helpful. We had a blast in Barcelona and we just hope we'll be back soon. Thank you for everything :)

Jun 27, 2019Lovely two floor mezzainein poble sec. There is a very nice open plan living room, dining room and kitchen. There are also 3 bedrooms which suited our group of 5 friends. There is s lovely terrace and two balconies. It was great that basics such as coffee were supplied. It is a quiet area but with a bakery opposite and lots of bars/ restaurants near by. You are only 5 minutes walk from the metro and 20 from las ramblas

Jun 27, 2019What a wonderful place!! My family and I (a group of 4) stayed here for a full week in June. At the time, Barcelona was having an unusual heat wave, so Cristina's place ended up being a true oasis for us! Poble Sec is a great neighborhood and allows for easy access to many of the main attractions in Barcelona. We would regularly walk a couple short blocks to the main road, Paral Lel, and easily catch a taxi to the beach or to Oldtown for sightseeing etc. It's possible to walk to many sights, but during the heat wave we had to rely on rides! The house itself was lovely, fully equipped kitchen, two bathrooms and a very comfortable living room. The downstairs patio magically stays cooler than anywhere else outside so we sat there often. Everything was clean and easy to use! There is a wonderful bakery next door that we went to every morning. Two great plazas in either direction a block away for coffees, sandwiches, tapas and drinks. And, there is a market directly across the street so you always have access to necessities. Carrer Blai is a lively street very close by that is buzzing at night with great people watching. This is a fantastic place for pinxtos, with every option you can imagine. This is a great street for lounging with drinks in outdoor seating and seems to be filled with locals and tourists alike. Cristina was fast with communication and gave lots of information about the house and area. Yamilla helped us check in and out, and was so kind and helpful!! We loved our stay and absolutely recommend staying here while you are in Barcelona!!

Jun 27, 2019Of the three cities we visited on our family trip Europe - BCN was the absolute best and this amazing apt. in Pablo-Sec helped make our experience perfect. Our host was a total delight - really good at her job! She met us at the exact appointed times, and I knew that I could count on her if anything went awry. She was great at providing us with so many useful details about the area and for giving me all the instructions that I needed to cook and do laundry. (I guess I can't get away from that - even on vacation!!!) The house was super comfortable for me, my husband, and our two teen boys. It was also VERY clean and tidy. Everyone had their own space - which was a welcome departure from what we experienced in London and Paris. We did rely on the air conditioning at night. It was pretty hot for us - as we come from Oregon and are not so used to it! We made good use of the patio, that's for sure! (Actually, there are three outdoor patios in this home, but the one on the bottom floor, off the kitchen, got the most use by us.) The baths were great - just fine. We are a very tall family (all the men are over 6'5") so it was good to use a shower that they could stand up in! The kitchen was really great to use and provided everything we needed! I was so grateful for how thoughtfully everything was provided to us as guests. The location is ideal - it's just two blocks from the Metro and the neighborhood has all the shops you need for local shopping - a bakery, a butcher, a Super Mercado and tons of cafes. It's not a touristy location at all - which we loved. My boys went down to the beach almost every day we were there - to swim, drink beer (and look at the awesome women !!) and my husband and I explored the beautiful streets and art and culture of Barcelona - all within easy reach. We hope to come back! We would love to book again and certainly recommend this very nice Pablo-sec apt to friends and family... and anyone reading this review! Jun 27, 2019Appartement très bien équipé, proche des commerces (un supermarché en face) et des sites touristiques (Ramblas à 10 min à pied et Fontaine de Montjuic à 5 min) avec un parking municipal proche où il est possible de prendre un abonnement à la semaine. L'accueil de Xavi a été parfait, c'est une personne chaleureuse, professionnelle et très ponctuelle! L'appartement a beaucoup de qualité, très bien équipé, grand et propre. Un seul bémol est la pièce principale qui est un peu sombre et sans climatisation, il fait un peu chaud l'été! Cependant les chambres sont climatisées et cela permet de bien dormir, de plus cet appartement est très calme ! Excellent séjour !
Jun 27, 2019Cristina's apartment is great, wonderfull. It's wide, spacious, quiet, delightful. Perfect for a family. The apartment isn't far to the city center (15/20min by walk) and within walking distance to the main public transport, metro and bus. For those arriving in Barcelona by car, near the apartment (3 minuts by walk) there is a municipal parking named "Aparcament Municipal Rius and Taulet". With special rates for 3/5/7 days, during this time you have the opportunity to use the same ticket to park the car in several municipal parking located around the city and close to several turistic attractions: Sagrada Familia, Parc Guell, Barceloneta, etc... Barcelona is great! like its people! Last but not least, Cristina and her assistants are perfect hosts. They are always fast to reply at your questions and very helpful. Thank you again Cristina.

Jul 27, 2019Cristina and her team were fantastic communicators from the start to the check out time. The house was clean and had all the household items you needed for a weeks stay. I appreciated Xavi's availability, recommendations and his kind personality. Location is a bit off the beaten track and it felt really nice to be in a more neighborhood-like location of the city instead of right in the center of all the tourists. Easy access to the metro as well as several bars, restaurants and supermercats. I would definitely recommend Cristina's flat to others visiting Barcelona!

It's within 10 minutes walking distance from the subway station and supermarkets are around the house. Jun 27, 2019All the information was sent to us ahead of time. Before we arrive, we knew exactly who to contact, what to do, how to reach the apt and all needed info. That was really great. When we reached the place, the entrance of the building was a bit old and unexpected but we got used to it. The apt is completely renovated from the inside and totally clean. The person we were supposed to meet was very helpful, answered all the questions and gave us some advises for the area. A supermarket is just across the main door and many restaurants are just around. We felt safe and secure. I would recommend this place.

Le quartier, populaire, rempli de petits commerces et la proximité de la station de métro ont grandement facilité notre séjour avec notre petit garçon de 3 ans. Les contacts par mails avec Cristina ont toujours été précis et l'accueil de Yamila a été chaleureux. Nous avons réussi à nous comprendre malgré nos lacunes en espagnol et en anglais. Nous avons senti qu'elles avaient à coeur de choyer leurs hôtes. C'était notre première expérience en airbnb et nous en sommes ravis ! Et Barcelone, c'est GENIAL !!

Jun 27, 2019Cristian's Place in Poble Sec was the PERFECT place for us! We used it as our base for the Barcelona Marathon and the location was ideal. Only a couple of blocks away from the Start and Finish, it was also a quick walk to the Metro which meant we had the opportunity to see our runners multiple times over the race. The apartment was very comfortable with every imaginable amenity, loads of fresh air balconies, comfortable beds, and terrific restaurant recommendations from Cristina. Yamila was a great communicator and met us with keys and all kinds of helpful information. We would highly recommend Cristina's place to families and running groups alike!

Jun 27, 2019This apartment shines for the location: a lovely bakery next door, supermarket across the street, restaurants not far away, and a metro station at a two minute walk. The apartment itself is very comfortable and well-appointed. Explore the kitchen cupboards before you shop, as there are quite a few basic items already available! The beds are easy to sleep in and there is plenty of storage place for clothes. The whole apartment is well-kept and scrupulously clean. One thing to be aware of is that the walls between houses aren’t very sound-proof, and windows in the neighbourhood are generally kept open, so you will hear some of what’s going on next door. However the whole neighbourhood becomes very quiet in the evening and we had no trouble sleeping. Overall, a real gem and thoroughly recommended.

L'appartement est très agréable, très bien placé (2 min du métro, supérette en face, boulangerie à côté) et bien équipé. La deuxième chambre double est peut être un peu petite mais nous n'étions pas à Barcelone pour rester dans les chambres. Son emplacement en arrière cour en fait un lieu calme, agréable après une journée à courir les rues. L'accueil a été très sympathique et souple, les contacts réguliers pendant la semaine répondant à nos questions, cherchant des solutions de transport pour se rendre à l'aéroport.
Jun 27, 2019We stayed at Cristina’s place for four nights ( a couple ). House is as described and even better, in a very nice neighberhood, less crouded with nice places to eat and deink. Metro station is 2-3 minutes walk and very convenient to use for sight seeing. The house is fully equiped and clear instructions for everythring are provided. Communication with Yamilla was perfect and she was very friendly and willing to assist if needed ( although everything was perfect). The whole approach was very professional and friendly at the same time. although our flight was delayed, Yamilla was available and waiting for us, very polite and friendly Highly recommended place, would defenitely choose again!

Jun 27, 2019Excellent value, 4 min to Metro Subway, many convenience stores and small supermarkets within a few minutes of walk and some open really late. Bakery open early right next to front entrance of the complex. Unit can sleep 6 with 2 bathrooms. However , only one fully functional shower and space is tight. Otherwise tones of space everywhere with excellent kitchen. Extra tall ceiling and bright.
Jun 27, 2019Nous avons loger pendant 5 jours chez Cristina entre copines. Nous étions 5 et nous avons eu de la place pour chacune. L'appartement est vraiment ultra équipé, n'emmenez rien, Cristina et son amie Yamila ont pensé à tout! L'emplacement dans Barcelone est extra, un 3mn du métro. Le quartier est calme, il y a des commerçants juste devant la porte pour les courses. La cours intérieure est typique et adorable, un mix entre la beauté de l'ancien et la simplicité du contemporain. Bref nous avons adoré l'appartement et nous avons été chouchoutée par Yamila et Cristina. Deplus nous avons pu très rapidement rajouter une nuit ( problème avion) car Cristina est ultra réactive. Si je retourne à Barcelone un jour, c'est certain j'irai chez Cristina!
Jun 27, 2019I really cannot fault this apartment. It is in a great location, there is a grocery shop and bakery literally just outside the door. We had 2 teenagers with us and to have 3 bedrooms was just a luxury. The apartment is spacious, stylish and quirky and it was equipped with everything you could need, we all loved it! Check in was brilliant, despite us arriving late due to a delayed flight and check out was also seamless and they even arranged a taxi for us. I highly recomend.

Cet appartement possède de très nombreuses qualités : -l'emplacement est exceptionnel, à 150m d'une station de métro , au calme absolu, dans une rue tranquille. -il possède la clim, et c'est indispensable à Barcelone en Juillet. -il est spacieux, (beaucoup plus qu'il n'y paraît sur les photos), haut de plafond.Tout est très propre, et l'équipement est complet ( vaisselle cuisine, toaster, bouilloire, nespresso, sèche-cheveux, machine à laver etc...) -rien ne manque, on se sent tout de suite comme chez soi, et nous avons pris tous nos petits déjeuners sur le patio. -la literie est très bonne pour tous les lits (et je suis généralement très exigeante sur ce point). -le quartier est populaire ,familial, sympathique et la rue de Blai qui se trouve à 5min de marche vous offre de nombreux bars à tapas! - il y a une supérette juste en face de l'appartement. Aussi une boulangerie, un marchand de fruits et légumes. -l'organisation arrivée/départ est parfaitement bien rodée , nous remercions Javier pour son extrême gentillesse et sa grande disponibilité! Aucun défaut, allez-y les yeux fermés ! Barcelone est une ville dynamique, culturelle, festive et les barcelonais sont tous très accueillants et ont le sens du service ! Quel dommage d'avoir du repartir ce matin...

Jun 27, 2019Our group of six really enjoyed staying at this place. There were all the necessary items needed and the location was ideal. Nice bakeries and butcher shops nearby and walking distance to most attractions one would want to see in Barcelona.
Jun 27, 2019Great location, very clean and wide apartment. Perfect for families with kids. The host communicated very clearly and was very helpful. The only thing that can be a problem is the amount of light that comes in in the morning on the extra room.
Jun 27, 2019We (2 couples) stayed at Cristina's place in Poble Sec for a week in Sept. 2018. We loved the location. Local coffee shop on the corner. Tapas restaurants in the square. Grocery store across the street. The apartment was well equipped and sparkling clean. Yamila was responsive to all our texts, inquiries and went out of her way to ensure we had a great stay.

Nachbarn teils etwas lästig (geruch, gemecker, laute Unterhaltung bis Mitternacht). über öffentliche Verkehrsmittel gut zu erreichen, recht zentral, nahe belebter Strassen Aber trotzdem kein Verkehrslärm. Bäcker gleich nebenan und kleiner Supermarkt sowie obst Händler.

Jun 27, 2019Christina and Yamila's place is lovely, cozy, and spacious. It's conveniently located right outside of the city center. You can get anywhere in a very short amount of time and then come home to a nice quiet neighborhood.

Jun 27, 2019Grocery store across the street, 5 minutes from metro, easy to get to main attractions. House has thin walls and neighborhood isn’t especially quiet, we felt like we had to whisper. Ear plugs were an easy fix for me at night but my husband had a hard time sleeping. Overall nice place to stay though.
Jun 27, 2019Everything went smoothly with the reservation, the keys and the check out. Cristina is easy going and uncomplicated. We had an excellent time in her cozy apartment, well-located, 20 mn by feet to down town. Supermarket and bakery very close, same street. We definitely recommend this place!
