Space

A bright and cosy Hong Kong apartment with two separate bedrooms: a double bed in one room and a single bed in the second room. This listing is only active when the host is away on holiday as the host usually lives in the apartment. As is usual in Hong Kong, the apartment is small, and bedrooms compact, but outfitted comfortably. The only downside is that it is on the 4th floor - with no elevator, however this has not caused problems as yet and the price is set to reflect this (please refer to the many positive reviews on this listing, as well as my 'room only' listing). It can be counted as 5th floor (though the letterbox is 4th floor) There is a double & a single bedroom. The kitchen & living areas flow into the open space. The bathroom & kitchen are both renovated in western style. There will be one drawer available for clothing storage in each bedroom, as well as space in the wardrobe for hanging clothes. Neighborhood Overview

Tai Hang is an older area where the 'village' houses have been renovated while still keeping the low-rise open feel of the original area. Many of the apartment blocks are only 5-6 floors high, not common in Hong Kong these days. The area is unique and renowned for the eateries at street level. There is a walkway at the end of the street to Victoria Park and to Tin Hau, another popular eating area. Causeway Bay shopping Centre is within walking distance.

Notes

I am happy to chat via email prior to your stay to help you plan and prepare for your time in Hong Kong Regarding the floor levels: The apartment is officially named as 4/26 Wun Sha. This means it is on the 4th floor (as per British numbering of floors) but the Chinese character outside the apartment door shows it as 5th floor (as per Chinese way of numbering floors). It is 26 as it is on the left of the stairwell - 28 is to the right. You'll know it by the plants by the door as well.

Transit

The MTR in Hong Kong is excellent, providing regular and easy access around the city. The Tin Hau station is a 6-7 minute walk. Buses are available at the end of the street, at a nearby terminus and on several surrounding streets, making travel around Hong Kong very easy. Taxis are also available and cheap.

Access

This is the entire apartment. Guests staying have full access to all amenities As this is my private home, and only hosted when I am away, I ask that the space is respected and cared for as a home. Check in & out is often flexible - bur needs coordination with a friend who takes care of my home while I'm away.

Rules

Appreciate no smoking inside the building. I've never had a problem in my 8 years of hosting this apartment - all guests have been extrememly respectful of the space and items in it. Few details to help maintain the 'pest free' and comfort of my home: 1. Please keep the 3 sink holes covered & closed when not in use. I have no cockroaches etc and ask that drains remain covered to ensure my home remains this way. 2. Walter filter. Water is drinkable from the tap. If you choose to use the filter - please ensure it is only filtered with COLD water. The hot water ruins the filter. 3. Hot water: please leave OFF when not in use - prevents high power costs. It is electric so it'll need 3-5 minutes to hear prior to a shower 4: When going out for the day, or leaving, please ensure the following is turned off: water heater, air-conditioners, lights & coffee machine. (& sink holes closed/covered) 5. When leaving, please ensure the door is locked (seems crazy, but many forget this!)

    Very comfortable apartment, perfect for what we needed. Lots of good local amenities, good location, easy for buses, taxis and 5 mins to Tin Hau MTR (Metro). Causway Bay is only 10 mins walk for lots and lots of shopping. We had both rooms, everything was as you need it, a home from home. Su gave us lots of information and was always available during the booking process. Thank you Su!

    Su's appartement was a very nice choice for us. The neighbourhood is plenty of small shops and food stalls or fancy restaurants and bars... you will find whatever you want. Not to far from an important bus hub and metro station, but incredibly quiet. We three slept like babies. The house was super super clean and tidy. Happy to have discovered such a nice place in HK. We will definitly come back

    Su’s apartment is in a great local neighbourhood close to lots of shops, restaurants and the MTR. The apartment itself is bright and clean with enough space for a comfortable stay. Su is very well organised and easy to communicate with. Highly recommended.

    The place is well equipped and very compact and in a good location. Metro is close by and the bus to and from the airport stop a few minutes walk from the house. Su is an amazing host, extremely helpful and very responsive to all sorts of questions. I can highly recommend her to anyone who wishes to spend some days in Hong Kong.
