Excellent location!!The apartment is situated at the neighborhood of Gracia. Barcelona’s One of the best and typical Quartiers. Is like a village inside Barcelona and only 2 minutes’ walk from Paseo de Gracia. The atmosphere made by Pedestrian Street, plenty of art galleries ,squares, shops, bars, restaurants, terraces where people gather to drink a coffee or a glass of wine… makes this quartier magical and relaxing. High and wood ceilings make the apartment beautiful. It has a spacious a terrace and a balcony, living room with balcony, two bedrooms with double bed with access to the terrace, large kitchen and bathroom, with basin and shower. Patricia is very easy to communicate and a helpfull host! The appartment is in a perfect area, quite and safe but very nice and easy to get everywere. We stayed 4 days and had all we need. The apartment itself was beautiful, very centrally located, well kept and clean. We had plenty of space and the apartment had two terraces and a lovely kitchen. Jun 27, 2019My wife and I stayed at Patricia's apartment in Gracia with our 9 months old son and we had a fantastic stay. Gracia is our new favourite area of Barcelona and the apartment is close to everything. We especially enjoyed the fantastic sushi place right next door that allows you to do take away which is perfect whenn travelling with a small child and the city square just 30 meters away. Patricia is a fabulous host and she even provided us with a baby cot and a baby chair for our son, so we didnt have to worry about that. That made the trip a lot more relaxing. If you plan to do more cooking, the kitchen could need a bit more equipment and we could for example only find 2 wine glasses and a limited number of kitchen utensils, but we nevertheless managed. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and we recommend Patricia as a great host. Best, Thomas, Mette and Theodor.

El barrio no puede tener mas encanto, centrico, con mucha vidilla, cerca de todo, en fin ideal para unos dias en barcelona. El piso es muy mono pero ademas muy muy comodo. Los anfitriones un encanto que se han volcado con nosotros Yo les doy un 10!
Jun 27, 2019I stayed with my family (husband and daughter) in Patricia' apartment. We were specifically looking for a quiet place not far from the center. And we realized that it was quite difficult to find such place in Barcelona. But Patricia's apartment was exactly what we were looking for. It's located in Gracia disctrict which is 5 minutes walk from Passage de Gracia (one of the main streets of Barcelona which brings you to the Cataloniya square). But at the same time it's a district where local people leave and it has a charm old Barcelona - historical buildings, nice cosy squares full of life, plenty of food shops and even market with fresh sea food, vegetables and Spanish specialities. This is exactly the place where you can feel the real, not turistic Barcelona. We felt very comfortable and safe there. The apartment is simple but has everything you need - 2 big comfortable bads, kitchen with oven, microwave and all the necessary utensils. There is also washing machine but we did not use it. In one of sleeping rooms there is a small cosy balcony where you can enjoy your glass of wine or breakfest. Due to the fact that both sleeping-rooms windows looks to the patio, it's absolutely quiet at night. And you can only hear a sound of old clock which goes from the clocktower on the neighboring square which is the main square of Gracia district. That gives you a wonderfull feeling of being in another century. So, we got all we have expected and even more:). And Patricia was also great as host. We had only one problem with wi-fi in the first day which she fixed immediately that day. It was very easy and comfortable for us to communicate with Patricia. So, we would recommend her appartment to those who want to enjoy real Barcelona in a comfortable and quiet way:).
Jun 27, 2019Patricia was a great communicator - no waiting for answers - everything went smoothly. Unit was clean and had plenty of room - we loved its location very close to a beautiful old square full of locals - lucky enough to see one of their traditional parades. It was a metro ride away from the Gothic and Born areas of Barcelona - very easy to get to these places. Not far from Gaudi's Cathedral. We liked the fact we were away from the crowds of tourists. Streets around are narrow and quiet. Unit was very good value.
Jun 27, 2019What an amazing stay we had at Patricia's charming little aptt! It was clean, with all the amenities. It was just as mentioned in the listing. She welcomed us and also gave us some useful tips to navigate Barcelona. The Kabuki Sushi restt right below the Aptt was recommended by her and it was absolutely amazing. It was a safe and in one of the most desirable neighborhood's (Garcia) of Barcelona. Supermarket and a few bars were all within walking distance.

Jun 27, 2019My parents and I had a really lovely stay at Patricia's apartment. It is in a fantastic neighborhood in Barcelona, far from tourists and very local but still relatively close to everything we wanted to do. There is a great market right nearby and a lovely square with a few nice cafés and a dynamite charcuteria. The apartment itself is very comfortable, with a nice terrace. Be aware that the lift is up a few steps from the entrance. Patricia was great to work with as well. We didn't meet her (her boyfriend let us in), but she was ready and happy to accommodate a short-notice extra person who almost joined us there.
Jun 27, 2019We had a great stay at Patricia's flat! It was very comfortable for 4 people. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen wad very well-equipped for people who like to cook, like me! We really loved sitting on the terrace in the morning to drink our coffee. The place wad also really clean and it wad nice to have the option of air conditioning or windows open, as it can sometimes be very hot in Barcelona at night. Patricia was very welcoming and offered to order a taxi to pick us up at the airport. I love the neighborhood of Gracia. There are many interesting shops, restaurants and bars, not to mention 4 plaças and 2 great food markets. It is a quick metro ride to the rest of the city, but with a lot to offer in itself! To sum up, a perfectly located place to explore Barcelona! I recommend anyone to stay here.

Jun 27, 2019Patricia was a wonderful host. Our flight had arrived way earlier than the scheduled check in time. And she was more than accommodating to letting us check in sooner. She was very helpful with tips and a map ready for us to go explore the town! The flat is exactly as pictured and described! She came in with new linens and glassware. Super clean and in a great location. Neighborhood was nice. It was great to get an authentic feel of a real Barcelona neighborhood away from all the tourist stuff.

The apartment itself is set in a lovely area of town, readily accessible on foot to almost anywhere you would want to go - the weather was lovely so we walked everywhere. We would love to return to Barcelona, and would definitely look to stay here again!

George picked me up from the airport (additional, quite reasonable fee) and brought me to the apartment (pointing out places of interest along the way) and made a recommendation for a place to have dinner. Flat was quite convenient to everywhere I wanted to go (approximately 15-20 minute walk to most places).

The listing is very well appointed and has all the comforts of a home away from home. The location is in the heart of Gracia next to one of the best public squares (Plaça de vila de Gracia). We would highly recommend a long weekend or extended stay here!
Jun 27, 2019Another winner from AirBnB. A friend of mine used another website to book a fairly awful apartment in Barcelona. Around 2am on the second night we couldn't take it and made an "instant booking" with Patricia. She was out of the city, and didn't see my message until early morning. Still, Patricia was able to contact me and arrange for us to check in early. She made sure we knew all the necessary information and made it clear I could contact her at anytime if I needed to. The apartment itself is somewhat nicer than the pictures show. The terrace off the large bedroom is great for relaxing and having breakfast, the front is nice to look into the street and feel the vibe. There were towels for each of us and soap in the bathroom and kitchen. It is very bright, the air conditioning works great, and the bathroom and kitchen are all in excellent order. We found the beds to be very comfortable as well. The location is really nice. We rented bikes and used them all the time, so I can't really comment on the public transportation access. There is an elevator which is really small, but very handy for luggage hauling. All in all just a fantastic experience. I will be staying here again on future trips and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Barcelona.

Some of the best restaurants in the city are a quick walk away. Patricia was very quick to respond. While I didn't get to meet her, I met Joe who let us in. Thanks Patricia!
Jun 27, 2019Patricia was a helpful host who offered a variety of services to make our Barcelona trip more enjoyable. We took her up on the airport pickup, which allowed us to get the keys quickly without risking any taxi or public transport mishaps, and got some good tips about the local neighborhood. The place was exactly as pictured and even has a (micro) elevator in the building! Great restaurants and shops are conveniently around the corner, and the place is only around some €10-15 taxi ride away from the beach! Check out Gaudi's Park (Park Guell) as well, a great day trip that's really close to the apartment.

Also a really nice market nearby. The flat was easy to get to and from anywhere in Barcelona. Patricia was very friendly and welcoming and gave us lots of tips about local restaurants. Would definitely consider staying at her flat again.

Jun 27, 2019Although it was well situated, and Patricia was nice, we were disappointed by the apartment. It is a good size apartment for 3 adults, or two adults and two children (we were 2 with 3 children which was ok for 5 nights). It is situated in Gracia, in a very nice part of Barcelona, some minutes ago from tube station Diagonal which is perfect. Patricia gave us some tips regarding the surroundings and helped us to book a taxi for our departure. Regarding the apartment, it was not worth what we paid: - the shower curtain was broken and left on the floor when we arrived. The bathroom is not as "new" as said in some comments... - the kitchen was poorly equipped for 4 people - the bed in which our 2 eldest children slept was a good size for 2 but the blanket and the pillows were from another age. The pillows were so much old and dirty, they were almost brown, which is unacceptable when you know the price of a pillow at Ik*a. The blanket and the sheets were for a single bed. We found a sheet that had not been washed, hopefully, we asked for cleaned sheet and Patricia left it in the apartment while we were out. - hopefully, our bed was comfortable. But before coming in her apartment, I had asked Patricia if there were black curtains to the windows and she had answered yes, which was right, but only in one of the 2 bedrooms and in the leaving room. Conclusion: very good situation but the flat really needs to be refurbished. At this price, the hotel is more competitive.

Jun 27, 2019Patricia's place is wonderful and she was very helpful and accommodating. She gave us recommendations for local restaurants, shopping and help getting around. This appears to be a rental, but personally I think it's a bit creepy staying in someone's home so this is what I was looking for. Complete kitchen, nice bath and she includes the essentials. I think the only thing we had to buy other than food was some more toilet paper. Patricia responds to emails promptly and was very friendly. The highest complement I can give is that I will definitely stay here next time I am in Barcelona. There is a really popular and excellent sushi restaurant right next door and a great square half a block away with coffee shops and restaurants. We made our own coffee every morning but went to the bakery right across the street for fresh Pa (bread) and Croissants. I cannot say enough good things about Gracia. If you want to hang out with tourists and junk shops, stay near the Ramblas or in the Barri Gotic. If you want to stay with the locals, in a central location, Gracia is the neighborhood. At the local market, which is 3 blocks away, we were consistently the only tourists there as opposed to the famous La Boqueria which is crawling with them and does not have the neighborhood vibe. Same for the restaurants and bars in Gracia: mostly locals and all excellent. Buses aren't right outside your door, but an easy walk to Diagonal from where you can go anywhere. Between the Citymapper app and (Hidden by Airbnb) maps the extensive bus system is easy to use. If you just want to hit museums and sights and want to be able to get a taxi or metro right out your front door, there are probably better places to stay. But I am telling you, you will miss what Barcelona is really about.

Jun 27, 2019We stayed at this apartment for a month in May and overall it was a disappointing experience. Firstly the apartment looks better in the photos than it actually is. Secondly we had problems with various aspects of the apartment ; the TV ( replaced after a week which was fine ) , the oven ( never fixed despite repeated requests ) and the bathroom ( a horrible smell acknowledged by the owners but once again nothing done to rectify the issue. However the most frustrating part was the lack of response to our texts or emails from the owners. In the end we gave up expecting a reply from them. A very poor effort in light of the fact this is the minimum you would expect and also surprising in light of previous reviews. Finally and perhaps not surprising the driver the owner organised to take us to the airport never turned up. The only positive was the area which was lovely ; great bars, restaurants , shops and squares all very close by.

Jun 27, 2019We were made to feel very welcome and Patricia answered emails and questions promptly and met us in person and told us about restaurants and supermarkets in the area which was very helpful- the apartment is well equipped and spotlessly clean, and in a perfect location! we could walk easily to the metro which took us all over the city, and local bars and restaurants were walking distance and all very good. A lot of places are walking distance -we walked to Parc Guell and to the Gothic Quarter, and found our way round easily enough-We had a great time!
Jun 27, 2019Patricia welcomed us warmly and showed us the apartment, and told us a bit about the area, too. The apartment is clean, compact, and cozy. The bed is comfortable. The apartment opens at the front (LR) to the street, and at the back (BDRs) to a shared courtyard area (with other buildings). There were a couple of minor things which needed repairs (burnt-out light bulbs, e.g.) and replenishment (detergent, coffee), but I assume those things have been taken care of by now. I noticed that another reviewer had remarked on a bad smell from the bathroom. Seems to be a municipal issue; I advise keeping ALL drains firmly plugged when not using. Now, the location: fantastic (if "lively": even ordinary conversation levels ricochet off the building walls). Great proximity to everything (transit, sites), very walkable (shops), amenities galore.
Jun 27, 2019The place is big, clean, and well equipped. Whatever else you need can come from the many near by stores. I was greeted kindly and on time. Very nice central location, near a few metro lines. You can also rent bikes in many places. Between the two, you can get anywhere fast and cheap.

Jun 27, 2019The apartment is nice, situated in a lively neighbourhood with a lot of restaurants and shops nearby. We loved to buy bread at the bakery right across the street and some lovely ham and cheese at the charcuteria and have breakfast at the balcony.

The apartment itself was nice, though it looks bit better on the pictures than in reality. The air-condition is only in the living room, which is not a problem if you leave the doors open to the bedroom. One big plus is the balcony. Overall good experience
Jun 27, 2019Patricia's place in Gracia is wonderful. Perfectly located near a bakery, lovely small plaza and plenty of cafes and a few small bars. We arrived a bit early but Patricia was extremely helpful in letting arrive early and organising to have the flat cleaned while we were out. Would definitely recommend!

Jul 27, 2019We had a great stay at Patricia's apartment. She was very proactive in making sure our arrival went smoothly and responsive to our questions before and after booking. The apartment is very nice and clean, exactly as expected from the photos. And we loved the neighborhood. There's a little plaza at the end of the block with several cafes that we spent a lot of time at. And in general, the location is a great jumping off point for exploring the city.

Jun 27, 2019Le quartier de Gracia est très sympa, surtout au moment du 15 aout, c'est la Festa Major de Gracia, les rues sont animées et les gens très chaleureux. L'appartement est agréable, cependant le salon sur rue peut être bruyant le soir (beaucoup de touristes) et le matin ( ramassage poubelles, travaux etc.). L'accueil n'était pas vraiment agréable, 15 euros à payer par heure de retard, or nous étions coincés dans les embouteillages! Nous n'avons pas vu Patricia, nous l'avons eue au téléphone seulement, nous avons été reçus par Miguel, qui nous a demandé 15 euros pour le retard. Nous avons eu le sentiment d'un vrai buisness, le propriétaire a plusieurs appart que Patricia gère et loue cher aux touristes. C'est plus rentable que de louer à l'année à des espagnols! Le parking est payant en plus, 18 euros par jour, alors que l'annonce propose un parking gratuit. Bref, c'est bien si vous avez de l'argent à dépenser, sinon vous pouvez trouver plus sympa et moins buisness ailleurs dans barcelone.
Jun 27, 2019The place is very nicely located and clean. We were lucky to have a warm welcome as there were lots of festivities going on in neighbourhood. Patricia was not able to open door for us, but she arranged somebody to take care of this in her place. Although communicating with him was a bit difficult (due to our lack of Spanish) we managed. We were allowed to leave the apartment without check by Patricia, which was very convenient as we had a very early flight. Overall good experience and pleasant stay!

Patricia ha sido muy amable, nos ha ayudado en todo lo que hemos necesitado (y no solo en lo relacionado con la casa) . En definitiva, nos volvemos muy contentas y con la idea de volver algún día. Jun 27, 2019The hospitality of Patricia and her husband was terrific and welcome after a long trip. We were almost a day late due to weather issues and they were extremely accommodating. It was easy to keep in touch and let them know about our delays. We loved the neighborhood. It is not in a high traffic tourist area, has the charm of an historic part of the city and all of the necessary conveniences nearby. It also is safe and easy to get around and there are many lovely restaurants and bakeries nearby.The space is as described and a good example of a traditional Barcelona apartment in a charming older building. The facilities were clean and the linens fresh.

The area is really nice and quiet, Gracia barrio have an special Catalan flavour, you can do what ever you need walking, there are many options in terms of Restaurants, Shops etc. The department is PERFECT for a Family of 4/5 members, as well as just to spend a few days working.
Jun 27, 2019We had a great stay in Patricia's apartment. It is well appointed and perfectly situated for walking the Gracia area and Las Ramblas to the harbor. Very safe and clean area and quiet at night. The two balconies were also a treat. Lots of restaurants and markets in the immediate area for easy shopping. A very nice square just down the block for relaxing over a coffee or vino. Patricia stopped by to offer sight seeing suggestions...very helpful.
Jun 27, 2019I was able to book this apartment on very short notice (mid-week), and still Patricia's husband met me at the appointed time, and showed me around the place. I had just finished walking the Camino de Santiago before visiting Barcelona, and it turns out he had done it many years ago himself, so we started talking about our experiences. He was very friendly and it was a good chat. The place itself was spacious for the money, charming, comfortable and VERY close to an old-town plaza in Garcia -- as well as all the shopping on the main streets. Also, Gaudi's La Pedrera is walking distance away. Traveling alone, it was more space than I needed, but a far better deal than the hotels! Also, the wi-fi was smokin' fast, so I was able to take care of some business on my iPhone using that. Plus, with the Smart TV and the bluetooth keyboard, it was like having a computer internet terminal at your disposal. I appreciated that since I was traveling without a computer or tablet. Very happy with my time there.
Jun 27, 2019My family and I stayed at Patricia's for five nights. Her and George treated us extremely well upon our arrival. They even arranged to have a taxi pick us up at the airport and took us to the front door. We even enjoyed a lunch with them as we arrived early and were waiting on the previous guests to vacate the apartment. They are wonderful people and gave lots of ideas on things to do and see. The apartment was well appointed and we cooked several meals there. The clothes washer was nice to have. The location is in a nice neighborhood with a bakery and food market very close. There's a clock in the nearby square that can be heard ringing in the morning and evenings but can be enjoyable. I would definitely stay there again when I return to Barcelona.

Abbiamo potuto parcheggiare la nostra auto in un parcheggio vicino. Il quartiere in cui si trova la casa è molto piacevole e tutto da scoprire. Abbiamo girato Barcellona affittando delle bici vicino a casa. Molto divertente!

Jun 27, 2019Overall we had a good experience staying in Patricia's flat. Location of the flat is great, although it is very central right next to busy square, it is quiet inside and we were able to have good nights sleep - even with small children! Few downsides include very small lift (of course, appreciate the fact there is one!), however it's just for one person. If like me you have 2 small kids and a bag on a shoulder you won't be able to fit inside. Also it's way too small for buggy. There is no window in the bath which is very bad for overall ventilation of the flat. There is a sewage smell outside, but that seems to be a wider problem in Barcelona. Having said all that, the flat has all the amenities needed; the host was very nice and provided us with the cot for the baby. Although a bit of tlc and maintenance is needed, the flat is spacious and clean. In the end, nice stay. Thank you!

Jun 27, 2019Patricia and her husband were great hosts. Checking in was easy even though we arrived a bit after the set time. The apartment is cozy ad the location is just amazing right in the heart of Gracia, a lively neighborhood. We traveled with grandma, a 7yr old and 9month old baby and the apartment was really quiet at night even with the buzziling outside on the weekend. The main plaza is just around the corner with great cafes and restaurant until well late into the night. Easy to walk to just anywhere as the Paseo de Gracia is two blocca away with high end stores and cafes. I loved our stay at an affordable price. The flat is clean and well stocked with all you will need for your stay.

The balconies out the front and back are great to sit on and relax in the sun and there's a sweet view out the front onto a quintessential pretty Barcelona street. We had all we needed - towels, some toiletries, kitchen utensils etc. The beds are also very comfortable! Patricia and Kumar were both organised and friendly in providing information and welcoming us to the flat. The apartment is in an amazing part of town close to many bars, tapas places, the lovely Placa del Sol, and Park Guell - it's also an easy walk down into the Gothic Quarter. Highly recommend this place for a stay in Barcelona! It's perfect!

I had come from Menorca where my luggage was lost for days and Patricia was so helpful in assisting me with working with the airport and getting the bags delivered to Barcelona. Due to the bags we also were late to our check in and she and Kumar were so gracious. The flat is beautiful and feels like home, love the neighborhood Gracia! So central to everything yet feels like a small neighborhood. Having two balconies was a treat and the amenities such as the washer really came in hand. Would definitely recommend!

Apartment itself was very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Only complaint is the door to get into the building was sometimes difficult to open but that was a minor inconvenience and didn't affect the pleasantness of our stay.

Patricia was very responsive, checking in and out was a breeze. Narrow staircase and small lift makes getting large suitcases to third floor a little awkward, but doable. We were with 3 adolescent children and the space was fine. Private small balcony out back nice touch for parents to have some alone time. Small supermercado next door for supplies. Highly recommend
Jun 27, 2019There was nobody to greet us when we arrived, and we were only advised that day that there was a big fiesta going on in the area, so it was very noisy at night on both nights of our stay. And we would have preferred to stay somewhere quieter. Live bands very close to the accommodation playing until at least 2am, fireworks going off frightening the baby. Normally this would be an excellent place to stay as it was close to everything. And the apartment was big and roomy and had all the amenities we needed.
Jun 27, 2019We really enjoyed our stay in this apartment, which is in Vila de Gracia. The private small balcony in one of the rooms was nice. The supermarket just next door was very convenient. Very nice restaurants and bakery shops within 2-minute walking distance from the house (don't miss the Las Euras Restaurant). However, there is one thing you need to be aware of if you have a car, and that's the festival time; during this period most of the alleys towards the house are closed and so, you won’t be able to drive up to the apartment’s entrance. That's what happened to us, and we weren’t informed ahead of the time that there was going to be a festival in the neighborhood. We ended up looking for a public parking for about an hour. Patricia was helpful in guiding us to a nearby parking when we called her and explained the situation, but had we known about the festival, we would have saved time and energy.

L'appartement est bien situé dans Barcelone avec une grande place animée et nombreux restaurants à proximité. Pas de nuisances sonores. Le tarif du parking à 18 euros 50 ne s'applique que sur demande (sinon 25 euros par jour) et si on y laisse la voiture à la journée.

Everything that she mentioned in her description of the flat was as you see in the photographs. And of course, the Gracia district is a wonderful neighborhood to stay in as well... a little bit out of the fray found in the Gothic quarter, but close enough to have access to any/all of the sites, sounds - and wonderful restaurants.
Jun 27, 2019Good to be allowed in early, although we had no phone number or information on which bell to press. The apartment is in a terrific position near to a lovely square, is relatively spacious and has a well equipped kitchen. The bathroom is fine, with a powerful shower. However, the photos are deceptive, and there has been little recent maintenance. The blind in the second bedroom - not the one pictured - was ripped and the mechanism was broken, so it was not possible to raise it, making the room always dark. The window itself, which can be accessed from the balcony, has no handle or lock, a clear security hazard. There is only one bedside lamp in the main bedroom, not two as pictured, and it didn't work - neither did the one in the second bedroom. The wall lights in the living area would not work, the uplighter had no bulb, a kitchen wall light has no shade and the extractor in the bathroom does not function. The air conditioning in the living area is efficient, but there is none in either bedroom. The second bedroom has no mirror. All of which is a shame, as this is potentially an excellent place to stay in Barcelona.

The location was within walking distance to many local restaurants and shops. Also within a 15 minute walking distance was Gaudi's Casa Mila, a great bonus for us Gaudi fans. We recommend her place to anyone who is staying in Barcelona.

Jun 27, 2019The apartment is in a charming neighborhood, opens to a narrow street and very close to cafes, restaurants, pastry shops, groceries. It is away from the tourist hustle and bustle, so you can feel what it would be like to actually live in Barcelona. The bedroom has a small terrace, where we sat and enjoyed our morning coffee, with the neighborhood spread before us. You can hear the life of Barcelona easily in the living room. I personally love this. But it is something to be aware of. The elevator is small, reflective of the time of the build. It was easy to find the apartment, Patricia was available by phone and we were greeted by an assistant who was very welcoming, helped us with our luggage and provided all answers to our questions.

Toutefois, l'appartement est trop peu lumineux, et trop mal insonorisé. Des problèmes de fermeture et d'isolation de fenêtre d'une chambre nous ont privés de l'utilisation de celle-ci.
Jun 27, 2019The apartment is very spacious, offering two different balconies to enjoy. The pictures offer a very accurate depiction of the unit. What I enjoyed the most; however, was the area that the Airbnb unit was. It is very close walking distance to many restaurants and cafes but far enough from the major tourist hubs to get a more local vibe to your stay. Like some of the other reviews, there seems to be quite a lot of street noise that you can hear from the unit during the night so if you are a light sleeper that may be an issue. Another thing, the bathroom ventilation isn't the best (there is none) and the bathtub really badly needed some Draino. The tub did not drain that well so when we shower, there would be at least 1-2 inches of water that would gather. Because it drains so slow, the tub would get that nasty layer of soap scum. We had to shower, turning the water on and off during our shower along with rinsing the tub after each person which was inconvenient. Overall, we really enjoyed the unit and the location. It was perfect for what we were looking for during our stay. The reason my rating for this place is mediocre is the host. Patricia seemed to be great prior to booking. She responded very quickly and answered the questions directed at her. However come closer to the day of our check-in, she wasn't responsive at all. Information such as check-in procedures or parking accommodation (she list parking on site as a feature) should be pretty standard. However come 1-2 days before my check-in when I was messaging about how to check-in she was not responsive. When you are traveling a good 24 hours to get there, worrying about figuring out how to meet your host to get into your Airbnb unit was the last thing you would want to worry about. But that isn't even the worst of it. My major complaint is that when we messaged her about one of the balcony doors not working, she responded immediately and sent someone to fix it. However, our other messages about where we can park our rental car were blatantly ignored. This just makes me think she only responds to things that's imperative to her and not her guests. And still to this day, all our messages went without responses. Pretty much the worst host experience, ever.

Jun 27, 2019LOCATION Fantastic. Right in the heart of Gracia - a former village outside of Barcelona now incorporated. Restaurants, Bars, shops...you'll find it all at an arms length. The area to us was very cozy and lovely. We would return here to feel home again any time. PLACE We stayed over New Years Evening so we pie a hefty premium. For that price we would definitely not stay here again. The apartment does the trick: roof over your head, beds, kitchen and bathroom. But above that it lacks charm, love for detail and is apparently run by a company as opposed to a host - like so many in Spain and Portugal. NOTE The stair case is steep, twisted and narrow. If you are with a baby - like us - this was a bit of a hassle. If you have disabilities you should not rely on the elevator. It broke down on us. So maybe choose a differing apartment. So in a nutshell: It houses you but that's about it. All is clean and essential necessities are all met but really that's it.

Son ami nous a accueilli à Barcelone pour la remise des clés malgré notre retard à l'heure du RDV un 1er janvier. Nous nous en excusons encore. L'appartement était très bien situé et correspond au photo et à la description. Il y avait juste un petit problème avec la fenêtre d'une chambre qui ne se fermer bien mais à part cela tout était parfais. (Il manquait juste une couverture pour une 5e personne, mais l'appartement est très bien chauffé). Ayant oublié un sac en quittant l'appartement Patricia est restée disponible pour nous aider à le retrouver. Merci beaucoup De plus Patricia parle français et anglais, ce qui est assez pratique quand on ne parle pas espagnol. Je recommande cet appartement.

We have arrived to the appartment and found Kumar waiting for us, he helped us with our bags and he offered some information as well as advices on the area and the city in general. The place it self is very clean and organized, the apprtment is equipped with almost all what you need. The location is great close to the metro and also to shops, bars, restaurants. The area is livley and full of things to enjoy. In the living room you can hear some of the street noise -but it was fine- once you are in the bedrooms you hear nothing anymore. We were there with our daughter (less than two years old) and everything was fine. The elvator was a bit small but it didn't really effect us much. I would strongly recomend this place if you are looking for a clean and organized stay also in a great location.

El departamento esta en un 2 piso con un balcon al frente muy lindo y otro balcon al contrafrente donde en un cuarto encontramos un lavarropas muy bueno y un tender super practico. La casa esta equipada con todo lo necesario. Puntos a Reveer, cambiaria los juegos de sabanas, acolchados y las cortinas que ya estan muy viejas. Al igual que el cubre sillon y los almoadones del living Volveria! Saludos

Jun 27, 2019If you want to stay in Vila de Gràcia then this location is perfect. Bedrooms are on the side of the flat that is away from the street so it's relatively quiet for sleeping. Also the beds and pillows were very comfortable--much beyond what I would normally expect! This was a good place and I would stay here again.

Jun 27, 2019The flat is nice and clean as advertised, though impersonal (as i's run as a business...). The communication with Patricia was very good and easy. About the location, the district of Graciais great, little streets and beautiful squares, plenty of bars/restaurants around. The side of the 2 bedrooms is quiet, but some -damn- church bells ring every morning frequently between 7h and 12h! The neighbours are pretty unfriendly.The window of the small bedroom was impossible to open, and the window shade almost brocken (too old...), but Patricia told me it will be fixed upon our departure!

Jun 27, 2019The apartment was a wonderful part of our trip to Barcelona that we called home for a week. They say location, location, location is everything and this was true with this apartment. Perfectly situated neat the Plaza de Garcia, walkable to everything from a market downstairs, to pizza, sushi, bakeries, coffee all less than a block from the apartment's main entry. The availability to find an adult beverage never lets you down in Spain and this location didn't either as there are a dozen places within a block to get a beer or wine. The nearby plaza is a block away where one can eat, drink or just relax on a bench and watch the locals enjoy the town square and bell clock tower. We walked a lot during our stay to get to know the city better. We would walk 3-5 miles away to get to popular areas like Las Ramblas, Park Guell, Camp Nou but only because we chose to. Other times we would just walk a very short distance to the end of the street to catch a cab or walk 2 blocks to get on to the public metro system which is a real value and easy to use to get anywhere in the city. The apartment comes with everything you need, air conditioning, full kitchen, clothes washer, two balconies, dining table and living room. Definitely very roomy for just one couple as we did but could comfortably fit a smaller family of 4 or 5. The bedrooms were on the quiet side of the apartment so that was an added bonus as it is common to hear the locals walking in the streets at all time of the night from their night out and expressing their happiness to all to hear but from the bedrooms, we didn't hear anything. Patricia was very accommodating and has excellent communication prior to our arrival. I wouldn't change a thing if given another opportunity to return. Thanks Patricia!

Jun 27, 2019Patricia has a lovely and clean place and the location is just wonderful! We had a tricky start getting into the apartment. This meant that my friend and I had around a 30 minute wait. It's a shame that it was grey and cold which only made the wait that more painful. After the booking was made, I called Patricia several times and unfortunately communication wasn't as responsive as I'd expect it would be for a listing that is avaliable as an instant booking. Nevertheless, once we got in the apartment was lovely and we enjoyed our short stay.

Jun 27, 2019We were two couples in Spain for two weeks and this was our 4th and final Airbnb apartment. The previous apartments and hosts were great! This stay was quite the opposite! I messaged Patricia over 10 days before check in and again two days before, and she had not responded to either messages. This was through Airbnb. I then reached out to Airbnb for help, they too could not get ahold of her. They suggested we find alternative lodging to ensure we had a place to stay in Barcelona because we couldn't confirm with Patricia. So, we spent half the day of our vacation time doing so, which was no easy task since this was now two days before check in, in Barcelona! We finally had to have our host call her for us to see if he could get her.......and he did! He confirmed everything and we checked in. The apartment was in a great location, however, the state of it was not! The towels were stained and the shower curtain smelled bad which made the bathroom smell too! As a result, we ended up washing the shower curtain. The bathtub was not draining so we were taking showers in standing water. Also, the kitchen was not cleaned properly. We even saw a few roaches in the kitchen. All of this we were okay with, however, there is only one thing we had the hardest time with. In the apartment description, it states "Air conditioning" what it does not state is that it is only in the living area! Even with the bedroom doors open, we had a hard time sleeping. Even if we had ceiling fans that would have helped. We paid good money for this apartment and we did not feel that it was up to par! Check in was with someone else, so we didn't even meet Patricia. She didn't even apologize for not responding to my messages. Overall, not a pleasant experience at all!

There is a quaint square 50yards away from apartment along with fresh fruit and vegetable store around the corner. There is a small grocery store literally 25 ft from apartment and a larger one across Square. Kibuki Japanese Restaurant was excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Jun 27, 2019Patricia's apartment is in a terrific upper middle class neighborhood - Gràcia. We loved wandering from square to square in the neighborhood - sampling fabulous food and excellent gelato! It is walking distance to lots of shopping and dining. There is a fabulous bakery for breakfast croissants and pastries straight out of the oven - about a block and a half away on the main street. You can visit a pretty big fresh fruit, vegetable and seafood market (Mercat de l'Abaceria) about 6 blocks away where the locals shop. There is a small grocery store two doors away from apartment and a larger one across Square. Kibuki Japanese restaurant's sushi was excellent. One of our favorite spots for lunch was La Vietnamita. 3 blocks away - fantastic flavors. I can't stop thinking about it - even a couple weeks later. The apartment is a third floor apartment (2nd floor for Europeans) with a small elevator if needed. There was lots of closet space. It was very nice to have a good washing machine stocked with laundry detergent and a drying rack at the end of our trip. The shower worked great. The air conditioner is in the living room and is very quiet, but it cooled the whole apartment including the bedrooms quite well. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have already recommended this apartment to some friends who are traveling to Barcelona next week. Just print out a map before you leave - to show your taxi driver. Our taxi driver from the airport claimed (Hidden by Airbnb) Maps couldn't find it - (not true by the way).

The rooms are old and the bed sheets are not very clean, communication on checking in is not very clear and we have to go back and forth on the check in time. (After all that we still have to wait downstairs for 20 mins to get the key. ) Overall experience is okay considering the location.

Jun 27, 2019Place was excellent, Kumar was excellent. Were very friendly and accommodating about allowing my fiance and I to drop off bags a few hours before our actual check in. We only had this apartment the final night of our week stay in Barcelona but wished we could have had it for the rest of the week as well. The apartment itself was spacious, clean, full of character and convenient to a lot of action. However, it's also in the heart of Gracia and thus outside a lot of the more touristy craziness of Barri Gotic and the like. Patricia was responsive and friendly and Kumar, who helped settle us in, was very friendly. Thanks!

Jun 27, 2019Good location but the apartment is in worse condition than photos may lead you to believe. Walls are not clean, bed sheets were old and used up. Problems with sewage smell in the bathroom and hallways. When we arrived, there was some cleaning product left in the toilet (dark brown/Black stains - supposedly it’s organic, but the host forgot to flush it down). Very unpleasant surprise since we didn’t know what it is and the smell was pretty bad. Overall not the smoothest stay and not the nicest host.

Jun 27, 2019We loved our stay in Gracia and Patricia's apartment is a great home base to explore the city. If you're planning to explore most of touristy BCN (Barri Gotic, etc), know that it's about a 25-min walk from the apartment. We loved walking, but some may prefer a taxi or metro. The apartment itself is slightly less modern than it appeared in the pictures, and some amenities were missing on our stay (TV, some light bulbs, broken coffee pot) but we made do. The only issue we had was with some bathroom cleanliness -- a good deep clean should do the trick. Other than that, we thought this space was a great value and we'd be happy to book it again. And Patricia was very communicative and helpful before our arrival. As for the neighborhood, Gracia is terrific, and far less touristed than other neighborhoods. Lots of cute squares, a great bakery directly across from the apartment (Forn Goya), and plenty of good cafes. Check out Carrer de Verdi for lots of great restaurants at night, and the closest Gaudi house (Casa Vicens) was turned into a museum only in Nov 2017.

Jun 27, 2019We had a lovely stay in Patricia's apartment! The apartment is very cozy, clean and quiet and has everything you need. The kitchen is fully furnished and it even has a dish washer and a washing machine. We stayed there one week with our baby and were very satisfied. The apartment was warm enough (we stayed there in February) and we even had a baby bed! We also loved the neighbourhood! The apartment is situated in Gracia, a beautiful part of Barcelona, with many shops, cafes and restaurants. Just around the corner is a small square with authentic shops and cafes and we usually started or ended our day there :) Patricia is very kind, she promptly answered all our questions and was always there to help. Next time we come to Barcelona, we would love to stay in her apartment again!
Jun 27, 2019There had been some misunderstanding between the office and our booking but Patricia was nice enough to help us settle it by calling Airbnb and even offered us another flat to stay in. There was a big conference in the city and most of the places are booked so luckily she had something for us. She’s warm and easy to communicate with. Highly recommended. Place has neighboring restaurants and bakeries. Shopping is 3-5min walk.

Jun 27, 2019If the three most important things in a property are "location location location", then Patricia's flat scores highly. It's bang in the middle of Gracia, a cute 'alternative' kind of neighbourhood just north of the city centre with a vibe a bit like parts of Brooklyn or East London - full of arty shops and bars and people - yet close enough to reach all the regular sights quickly by Metro and fairly quickly on foot (it's about 45 minutes down to the bottom of the Ramblas). The flat itself is in a small sidestreet off a lovely little square (Placa de la Vila de Gracia) ringed by restaurants and cafes with outdoor seating, with a great bakery right opposite, and near to countless other restaurants, bars, cafesm shops and galleries, as well as two different markets with a five-minute walk. Those less mobile than us might find the narrow, steep and slippery stone staircase a little hard to navigate, especiallly with suitcases (though there is a tiny lift), and the bedrooms are strictly for sleeping, being very small. But there's a decent sized living room (with TV, if required) and a small but perfectly good kitchen, plus a little terrace off one of the bedrooms with a washing machine and line. Only complaints - an excessive cleaning charge of £45 for a two-night/one-day stay (making a 65% surcharge when you add in the mysterious AirBnB 'service fee') and there was no lightbulb in either of the bedside lights (and we couldn't find a spare anywhere). It would also be nice if Patricia would recommend some of the nice places to eat and drink, since local knowledge is always a bonus; she did mention one tapas restaurant (La Pepita) which was great, and recommended a good nearby wine merchant (Enterwine) when asked. We found another (Antunez) on our own, which was even better. Excellent coffee too in a cafe in the Placa (Nabucco Tiramisu). Overall, it's a lovely place to stay away from the noise, traffic, tourist crowds, high prices and pickpockets of downtown Barcelona. I would definitely go back. TC

Jun 27, 2019The location and neighborhood is wonderful- it is easy to get to the major sites but it is less touristy than other areas - a real neighborhood. Lots of food shopping options and Gracias place is wonderful people watching. The apartment is nice and the Terrance and front balcony let in a lot of air. How vet when we stayed there, here was a terrible chemical odor coming from the bathroom - we could never figure out exactly where. It smelled like either drain cleaner or rat poison and made me nauseous. The owner was not helpful and ignored my next email saying the odor was still there.even after 2 days and much airing out. We had to sleep with all of the windows open which was fine because we had perfect weather but it would have been awful if he hadn’t been able to do that. I would not recommend because of this. I usually give glowing recommendations and am a regular Airbnb user so this is disappointing. This area is great so don’t hesitate to look for other options nearby. I hope the owner gets this fixed and becomes more responsive because this is a consistent issue in the reviews. The apartment itself is nice and big.

Jun 27, 2019Excellent location - some great local shops and very good places to eat. Cot bed supplied on request. Facilities available for self-catering if required. The lift is small but one person can fit in with luggage. The apartment is quiet, no noise from the street below, but in the morning you might be woken by the nearby church bells (some people will like this). Host Patricia was very responsive and flexible. Some minor issues with lamp bulbs that need replacing but otherwise the apartment was in good condition and very clean. Overall a really good stay and we would use it again in future.

Jul 27, 2019It is a nice apartment but looks nicer in the photos. The main problem we had was that the lift is minuscule! I chose this listing especially for the lift as we were coming with our baby and the buggy etc. We were unable to use the lift for anything except me and the baby so my partner had to carry the buggy up and down the stairs every time we went out. The area is great and we did enjoy our stay it just made everything a bit more difficult than we were hoping! We also had trouble contacting Patricia. I had to ring her in the end and we waited for 10 mins outside the apartment before being let in.

Jun 27, 2019Big, cozy, beautiful space in a fantastic location. The bed was so comfortable and we loved having drinks on the back patio in the evening. The kitchen was well equipped and we even cooked a couple meals while we were there. The neighborhood is relatively quite because essentially no cars travel down the street in front of the flat. The plaza near the apartment is amazing and is a must hang spot! All in all, my boyfriend and I really enjoyed ourselves and highly recommend this place to others!

The area is perfect for feeling like you belong; many tapas bars, restaurants, a supermarket next door and the local square where everone gathers is 20 metres away. There are tons of parking stations very close by.

I travel internationally quite a bit and have never had the response, care, concern, or availability be as thorough as it was. The location is pure magic and we spent our evenings in the square while my youngest played footy with local kids and I enjoyed the calm and music and food and drinks.
