We had a fantastic stay at Maria's home for four nights. The room is lovely and spacious with beautiful decor, a big window with a view, and an immaculate en-suite bathroom. The location is well linked by public transport (20 minutes to town centre by bus), in a quiet and pretty area of Porto. Maria very kindly offered us many things for breakfast in the morning, and an occasional glass of Port wine in the evening! It was lovely talking to Maria and her daughter Cristiana in a mixture of languages (French, English, Spanish and Portuguese), and they were both so kind and helpful and made our stay in Porto really special! We would highly recommend staying at Maria's flat, and hope we will have the chance to visit her again!
Jun 27, 2019Maria is amazing! She made our stay wonderful. When we could not find our way to her house, she walked 15 minutes to meet us! Not only is she able to communicate in Spanish, French and Portuguese, she is very knowledgable about her amazing city of Porto. She welcomed us into her beautiful home with a wonderful glass of Port wine. The room we rented was clean and spacious. In addition there is a private ensuite full bathroom with a bidet and a wonderful shower. Maria was our personal tour guide for the trip. She gave us a map and she spent an entire day with us driving around and showing us the sights. She welcomed us every morning with great coffee and breakfast. When we returned late in the evening, she also prepared dinner. Maria is kind. She is very interested in her guests feeling at home, and goes out of her way to accommodate. We met her wonderful daughter as well, who took time out of her busy schedule to make sure we arrived at the famous Lello Bookstore by driving ahead of us and showing the way. Thank you. I highly recommend Maria's place to anyone visiting Porto. Thank you Maria!
