Start your day off with a latte from local favorite Little Fish Coffee across the street, then pop into a few boutiques for an island souvenir at Poipu Shopping Village. From there, the world is your oyster. Tee-off at Kiahuna Golf Club a half a mile up the road, or grab a towel and some sunscreen and make the short 5-minute walk to award-winning Poipu Beach for paddle boarding, snorkeling, or sunbathing. Depending on the season, you may even spot some breaching whales! Once you’ve soaked up enough rays, head to Plantation Gardens Restaurant & Bar for a handcrafted cocktail and some regional Pacific Rim cuisine while watching the sun sink into the ocean. 1. Great Vacation Retreats is not affiliated with the onsite management. Please contact us directly with any questions, maintenance issues or concierge requests. 2. Hawaii has a new smoking law which allows smoking only in designated areas outside of any building, 20 feet away from doors. Our units and lanais are all non-smoking. Please use the designated areas if you wish to smoke. They are usually located in the parking lot of the building. There is a $300 fine for smoking in our properties and the State of Hawaii may also impose a fine for not smoking in the designated areas. 3. Please wash off all sand from beach gear and your body before re-entering the units. Outside showers are available at most beaches and outside of most properties. Please do not hang beach towels, swimsuits, etc. from lanai railings. 4. Because we are in a tropical environment, there are insects. Please keep all food covered and stored properly. This will help to discourage roaches, ants, geckos and spiders

¡¡EXCELENTE!! Recomiendo este departamento y Great Vacation Retreat. El personal me respondió inmediatamente a todas mis dudas. Recogimos el auto en Enterprise sin problemas, y luego las llaves. El departamento es muy acogedor y está muy bien ubicado. La playa del resort es preciosa, y si bien hay muchas playas hermosas en Kauai, nosotros pasamos casi todos los días disfrutando de ésta. También un día aprovechamos el servicio de la piscina, que se encuentra enfrente e incluso se puede acceder caminando. Hay varios supermercados cerca. Algunos (los más económicos) se llega en 5 minutos de auto. El departamento tiene de TODO: toallas, shampoo, jabón, secador de pelo, detergente para platos y para la ropa... Vi consiglio questo appartamento e Great Vacation Retreat. Il personale ha risposto immediatamente tutte le mie domande. Abbiamo preso la macchina ad Enterprise senza problemi, e poi le chiavi. L'appartamento è molto accogliente ed è ben posizionato. La spiaggia del villaggio è bellissima, e sebbene ci sono molte belle spiagge a Kauai, abbiamo trascorso quasi tutti giorni in questa spiaggia. Anche un giorno siamo andati in piscina la cui si trova di fronte e ci si può arrivare a piedi. Ci sono diversi supermercati nei dintorni. Alcuni (i più economici) si possono raggiungere in 5 minuti di macchina. L'appartamento ha di TUTTO: asciugamani, shampoo, sapone, phon, sapone per i piatti e vestiti ... Non c'è bisogno di portare nulla. Ed anche lo snorkel per godersi la spiaggia! Abbiamo trascorso una vacanza splendida! Grazie! Thanks!
Jun 27, 2019Great location at reasonable cost, right on one of the best beaches on the island! Magnificent sunsets every night! The units are well equipped and ok for a family of five (although it may feel somewhat crowded after a while). We can fully recommend unit 307 which was nice and quiet. However, we also spent a few days in unit 335 which faces the main road/intersection. Traffic noise can be very annoying late at night (party people) and early in the morning (construction trucks). We did not make use of the "free" rental car as the upgrade to full size plus insurance would have been more expensive than the package we booked online.
Jun 27, 2019O apartamento é uma graça! Cabem 5 pessoas, mas acho que não mais do que isso. A cozinha estava super equipada, tudo o que precisávamos estava a mão! Eles deixam no apartamento uma pasta com todas as informações que você venha a precisar. Disponibilizaram sabonete, shampoo, até lâmpadas extras e binóculos!! Apartamento pequeno, mas com tudo o que a gente precisou. A localização do condomínio é ótima! Perto de mercado, restaurante, próximo da praia e um shopping do outro lado da rua. O clube de Poipu fica super perto, dando pra ir a pé! O concierge do condomínio é super educado e acessível e nos ajudou em tudo o que precisávamos! Escolha excelente! Com certeza se voltarmos a Kauai ficaremos hospedamos lá novamente!

Jun 27, 2019Room 307 is a great location within a great resort. The plantation style of Kiahuna resort (lots of wood & shutters) is so much nicer in my opinion than the surrounding Sheraton & Hyatt hotels. But the Sheraton has a nice buffet breakfast and there is a shopping village just across the road - everything you want in Poipu is an easy walk. Only drawback for us (1 couple & 2 adult children) was having to partially pack up the two sofa beds to fully use the living space but this worked better than expected. The attention to anticipating all your needs in this unit was exceptional.

Jun 27, 2019This apartment at Kiahuna Plantation was wonderful for us and our three teens. It's very close to the ocean - just a nice walk through a garden to get there. The apartment kitchen was well-equipped to make our own dinners and other meals, and we enjoyed them on the lanai together. We loved the beach, and the huge, green, grassy area in the central part of Kiuhuna Plantation, where families BBQed, kicked the soccer ball around, and lounged while looking at the ocean. The management - Great Vacation Retreats - was super nice, and provided free rental car, free parking, and free beach towels. We also enjoyed a day at the nearby athletic club, which is also provided free, playing in the fun pool. The area where the apartment is located - Poipu - feels like the center of a fun and active scene on Kauai. I highly recommend this place.
Jun 27, 2019This condo is amazing. It is so close to the beach, and situated in a very nice resort like area. There are so many restaurants located within in a small walking distance. The condo itself is beautifully decorated and has soaps that smell amazing. We came to this condo as a part of our honeymoon trip and they even included some champagne and Hawaiian sweets. We had a small issue with finding our key in the provided lock box, but when we contacted them, we had a manager come to the place within 5 minutes to solve the issue. We were very impressed. I would definitely recommend this place, and it won't be our last trip here!

Jun 27, 2019This condo is located in a fantastic location. Although we were in one of the blocks back from the beach the view overlooking the gardens was lovely and only a 5 min walk to the beach. Great Vacation Retreats were so easy to deal with and checknin was a breeze. Loved staying here, place was very comfortable and clean and provided everything we needed.
Jun 27, 2019The location in the South Shore was perfect. The condo is walking distance to the beach, restaurants, stores, and a club. Entry to the Athletic Club is a definite plus with a swimming pool with a slide, ping pong table, gym, tennis courts. They also held our luggage after we checked out. The unit is well equipped and the grills outside are great. It's also very private and quiet. Our host was amazing. Everything from making the reservation to checking out was easy and stress-free. She provided us with very helpful information about the area. I had mentioned that we were there for my mom's birthday and she left us a bottle of wine and balloons. The only reason I did not give this listing five stars is because the unit is a bit small for the number of guests allowed. I would definitely recommend this listing for a family of four where two are children but a bigger group or one with more adults might not be comfortable.

Jun 27, 2019This condo was perfect for our family of 5. The master bed was large and comfortable with plenty of pillows. The couch beds are couch beds, but the kids didn't complain. The view from the patio is beautiful. There was plenty of utensils and tools we used to cook. The location was perfect!

We were 2 sisters traveling together for diving (Seasport trip to Ni'ihau), surf (Nukomoi surf shop), hiking (go everywhere!), beaches (Queens Bath) and eating. Super convenient location, peaceful setting, great amenities and wonderful suggestions in the guest book. Bar Acuda for dinner in Hanalei is indeed not to be missed! This could fit 4 people though it would be a bit tight.... we would have been willing for our kind of trip (out and about all day). The hosts were super communicative and the Airbnb comes with free car rental! A true bargain. One note - no aircon only fans but there were plenty of them. If you are the type to hang inside midday you may find it a bit too hot but at night it was totally fine.
Jun 27, 2019We loved our stay at this condo and didn't want to leave! It was clean and spacious with a great deck that had views of the ocean. A short walk to the beach and a wonderful big lawn area with sun loungers and chairs. The free car rental through Alamo worked out well for us. Right across the road from the Poipu shops where it is easy to nick up supplies and grab inch or dinner. Little Fish Coffee is also great for breakfast. We would definitely recommend this condo and Great Vacation Retreats as a host! Thank you.
Jun 27, 2019The place was overall great and well located, just a quick walk to the beach. The condo is perfect for a couple and had everything we needed. GVR was very helpful and quick to address any requests. The only downside was the acoustic between the suite, especially the upper suite. The people renting above us were very loud and noisy, however, GVR was very quick to address the issue. We recommend this place.

My only reason for not giving 5 stars is that it is not really a one bedroom, as the bedroom pocket door does not shut and we were really looking for a one bedroom. A one bedroom the main search criteria we had. Loved the rental car, and checking in and out was easy and convenient. A well stocked kitchen was a huge bonus, as we enjoy cooking. I would recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Since this was our first trip to Kauai we didn’t know what to expect and only knew that we wanted to be at or near Poipu Beach because we’d heard it was beautiful and we had friends who had booked into the Sheraton. The location was perfect within easy walking to the beach and a five minute walk to the Sheraton. The rental car, included in our booking, was ideal as it allowed us to explore the entire island during our stay, and to head to dryer land when it threatened to rain. The unit itself was clean, well equipped and very comfortable. We were easily able to cook anything we wanted with the fully stocked kitchen. The views of the garden easily made up for the lack of an ocean view. There are communal gas grills scattered about the property which were so clean we assumed they were rarely used, but we were wrong on that score as we had some fun conversations with our neighbors around the grills as we all prepared our dinners. All in all, this place was perfectly situated and our hosts made the experience truly care-free.

Schnorcheln dort war fantastisch mit tropischen Fischen, Meeresschildkröten und Seehunden. Tolles gratis Angebot im Athletic Beach Club. Frühstück im Little Fish Cafe ist empfehlenswert. Wir waren von unserem Aufenthalt begeistert! Empfehlenswert. Vielen Dank für die tollen Erlebnisse.

Jun 27, 2019Appartement conforme aux photos et au descriptif. Propre mais vieillissant. Correctement placé, des attentions à l'arrivée mais il manque des ingrédients de base pour cuisiner (huile par exemple) L'appartement est globalement agréable mais il est dommage qu'il manque d'entretien et de suivi (poignée dévissée, porte de chambre ne coulissant plus, vaisselle manquante, salon sur lanai usé et taché, etc...) On attend mieux pour le prix. La location de voiture proposée ne comprend aucune assurance même pour les détenteurs d'une carte premier et les assurances sur place sont chères. Le matériel de plage est complet et de très bonne qualité (fauteuils par exemple) Les nombreux ventilateurs sont suffisants pour la nuit mais un peu justes pour la journée. L'appartement reste recommandable, mais il le serait vraiment sans hésiter avec un peu de remise en état.

Jun 27, 2019The accommodations were very sufficient. I forget that there is no A/C in many condos, etc. but the fans were a little insufficient. Overall we had an excellent trip and the condo was clean and well cared for! I would stay again!!
Jun 27, 2019Great space for 2 people. More than that could be a bit crowded. Super close to the beach which was convenient and easy. The membership to the athletic club was also a huge perk.
