Neighborhood Overview
Location, Location, Location! We are in the middle of it all! Much to see and do in Waikiki. The World's most famous beach is just two short blocks away. Watch the sunsets from nearly any vantage point along the beach and see the Friday night fireworks from the Hilton Hawaiian Village. The nearby neighborhood includes several major hotels and numerous large and small restaurants and nightclubs that cater to every nationality. Ask the kamaaina (locals) for their tips. The Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center and other “World Class Shopping" may be found on Kalakaua Avenue (the street fronting the beach). A few blocks away you will find famous Kapiolani park and the Waikiki Shell, Honolulu Zoo, Waikiki Aquarium, Diamond Head, golfing and many tennis courts.

Transit
For Parking, you can park below building. Their rates are $25/24 hours, and lessor amounts for shorter time. You need to pay yellow box and get white ticket. Must put White ticket on your dashboard, or car will be towed. With this ticket, you have THREE places to park, if lot is full. 1- underground parking on Kuhio Ave. 2- underground parking in back of building on Prince Edward St (identical to Kuhio ave. parking). 3- at the tall condo (Pacific Monarch) on corner of Kuhio and Uluniu St. A block away is Waikiki Banyan, their rates are $20/24hours (entrance on Kuhio Avenue). There is also Free street parking along Ala Wai Canal 2-3 blocks away. Towing on canal is 2 days, Monday and Friday 6-10am. But who needs a car in Waikiki? Everything is in walking distance. But if you have an itch to venture out, the island's bus transit system is awesome.

Located on-site are a 24-hour convenience store, internet cafe, laundromat, tour desk, surf shop and public parking are available on-site. This property is elevator accessible with trash chutes are located on each floor. Interaction with Guest Interaction with guests is generally limited to welcoming upon arrival. The arrival was easy and well described! The apartment itself was clean and very nice with a balcony view to Waikiki. Overall had a pleasant stay and really liked the accommodation. The breakfast was very small but alright!

Had Great Ac. Could go on explaining the great spot but you would have to go there and stay to FULLY UNDERSTAND!
Jun 27, 2019The listing description was very accurate. The pictures were exactly as it seemed. It says ocean view, and you have an ocean view, albeit a small one. However, the best part about this location is that it is literally 3 blocks from the beach. You walk one block over and 2 blocks down, cross the street and you are at the main entrance for the beach in Waikiki. You are a just a few more blocks from shopping. The views are stunning! I honestly couldn't believe it when we arrived. We were beyond pleased with location.

Jun 27, 2019A cosy and clean little apartment with a fantastic location for traveller's on a budget. So close to the beach and many of the great eateries on Kuhio Ave. (Especially the food truck right outside!!) The complex itself has many conveniences such as a laundry and store, which make staying here a breeze. Its also on the bus routes for all the major attractions that are a bit further away from central Waikiki. Maholo, Chris!

Jun 27, 2019Our stay was great! The apartment is 2 blocks from Waikiki beach, it was clean and tidy and came with all the beach essentials, a tv and fast internet. Chris was an awesome host, this was our first time using airbnb so we had a few questions and Chris was very quick and helpful in responding. Can't beat it for the price, highly recommend staying here.
Jun 27, 2019The studio is perfect for solo travel (or a couple). The location was great with both the beach and shopping/restaurants nearby. The check in process was super easy and the place was nicely renovated. My messages were responded to promptly, which i appreciated. The bed was surprisingly comfortable and the balcony was a great bonus. I will definitely be staying here the next time I visit.

Otherwise it is a small, run-of-the-mill room, so there is nothing to particularly recommend it nor any reason to dissuade anyone from staying there versus the other rooms in this area.
Jun 27, 2019Perfect location and a great size for a couple. We loved Hawaii and this accommodation had a lot to do with it. Finding the accommodation and key lock box was easy. Room was clean and more than met our expectations. Even though we were in the heart of Waikiki it was a quiet location. Wifi and cable tv worked well the whole time. Great value.

Jun 27, 2019This was a fantastic little find for me as a single traveller! Cozy, but had all the essentials. Bed was really comfy as well! And you really could see the ocean from the great little balcony. Overall really quite wonderful to be so close to the beach and all the action, yet still feel like you could retreat back to a somewhat quiet space if needed. Really lovely!

The noise level both from other residents as well as outside was horrendous .. the air conditioner as well was very loud.. first time using airbnb and probably my last .. the place I stay at is as much a part of the vacation experience as any thing else and the place did not in any way contribute to making the experience a great one unfortunately !!!

Jun 27, 2019Great location! 2 blocks from the beach and a few blocks from downtown shopping as well. Plenty to do within walking distance! Very quiet at night - can't hear any nightlife which was great for early to bed! Bedding was comfortable - it's a firm mattress. Everything you need is provided for you which was great (beach use, iron, kitchen supplies). Only downside was the A/C was a bit loud and 5:30 am there was construction or dumpsters right outside - but with my time change I was getting up around that time anyway! Great first bnb experience! Super convenient - Chris was great with updates and very accommodating! Would recommend this place to everyone!

Jun 27, 2019Chris' response time is amazing. We were in a tough situation and we are greatful for his efforts. He has beach stuff and he offers a continental breakfast. Chris also has a few fact sheets and suggestions in the suite which was really nice. We are staying in another one of his unit's next week and we are looking forward to that because he's a great host! Clean unit and close to the beach...a three minute walk!
Jun 27, 2019This apartment was in a great location near to beach, shops and restaurants. Chris left some useful information about places to go and where to eat. Definitely go to Tiki's and experience the live music and great food. The apartment is small and in need of freshening up. There was only one beach towel, one wine glass and an old fridge sat out on the balcony and although we mentioned this to Chris he did say he would sort it, but nothing happened. Everyone has their own personal tastes and standards and sadly this place didn't match up to mine.

It's less than 5 minutes from the beach, with all the shopping, dining, and activities a person will need while staying in the island. While it is close to the activity it's far enough off the main roads to have a quiet and calm feeling. The road it is located on is one way and lightly traveled compared to others in the area. If you are looking for a clean, safe place to stay close to the activity but secluded enough to be able to relax this is a great option.

Keoke our host is available if you need him for any concerns. The building have its laundry area and mini store for any item that you may forget. This place is so affordable and convenient. Highly recommended for a budget friendly and to a no fuss traveler!

Jun 27, 2019Great place to stay. We finished up our Hawaiian adventure at Chris's place and it was perfect. It is right in the heart of Waikiki, 2 min walk to the big duke statue (main beach of Waikiki) so it is extremely central. Check in was a breeze, so simple. The unit is perfect for a couple, plus a fold out bed if you have too many beers and get in trouble you got somewhere to have a nice sleep haha. Great place, great price, it's perfect for travellers who want the best of Waikiki for a good price.
Jun 27, 2019Wenn man beste Lage direkt am Waikiki Beach haben möchte, sollte man sich vorher im Klaren sein, dass man für den Preis nur wenige Quadratmeter sein Eigen nennt! Wenn das Zusatzbett ausgeklappt ist, ist quasi fast der gesamte Raum belegt. Dafür ist das Appartement aber auch mit allem, was man für kochen, schlafen und Strand braucht, prima ausgestattet. Außerdem ist es ruhig. Sogar zwei Buggys haben wir bekommen.

Jun 27, 2019We greatly enjoyed staying at Chris's apartment. It's comfortable, very close to the beach and a good value. We made good use of the beach equipment on the patio. I unfortunately lost the apartment keys while on the beach, but Chris responded very quickly and got us a new pair within 30 minutes, on a Saturday morning! Would definitely stay again!

Chris's place was just what I was looking for, everything worked, close to everything, it was neat and tidy and a great size for what I needed. Sure it's one of Waikiki's older building but who cares, you're in Hawaii and you don't need a 5 star suite. A++

The flat itself if just fine, a little hokey (a ceiling panel was jury rigged in place with masking tape and a broom handle) and contacting host was challenge, but we worked around it. Directions on checkin require some kind of map. Otherwise, the location is worth it 100% and the experience overall was great.

We really enjoyed the proximity and convenience to the beach and there were several ABC stores within a 2 minute walk for food and drink, etc. Also highly recommend Wang Chung’s for karaoke around the corner and Honolulu coffee at the Moana Surfrider for the best coffee. The suite is rather small. For folks on a budget, it will be fine. Check in was easy. This was not my favourite building in Waikiki by any means, but we spent most of the time at the beach anyway, or shopping and not in the suite. Air conditioner was loud, and bed not all that comfy. Liked that Chris provided us with little soaps, and such. Fluffier pillows and cotton sheets as opposed to microfiber would have made the sleep a bit better. Enjoyed the sun and sand and Waikiki atmosphere. So close to the heart of it all! Mahalo!

We booked some tours which require a hotel pick-up but there were several hotels right around the corner. Convenience store held our bags before check-in and after check-out (for $4) which was great. Apt even has a partial ocean view. But seriously, GREAT LOCATION!

Central to many great good places (in fact food truck is about 5p feet from front door). Parking can be a challenge but overall, way better then I expected. Mahalo for everything.

Jun 27, 2019Great value - the studio flat is a bit small and dated, but clean and very conveniently located, so you can't complain at this price! It has everything you need, and the complimentary snorkelling gear, beach inflatables and beach towels, as well as the complimentary breakfast are a lovely touch. The only criticism I have is that we had arranged an early check-in with Chris, but he forgot on the day, so when we turned up, the key was not in the lock-box. We had to call Chris and wait while he quickly made some arrangements to get the key to us - he did efficiently and swiftly, but after a 32 hour journey, we would still have preferred not to have to wait.

Really appreciated the balcony but most of all, the communication with host as well as being accommodated for an early check-in and late check-out. Already know where I'll be staying when I return to Waikiki!

It’s got a nice comfy bed, a handy, well-stocked kitchenette, good hanging and cupboard space for clothes, and aircon that works well. Chris had thought of all the little nice touches as well, like providing a beach towel and sunscreen.

Morning free coffee and muffin are great treat from host. Lots of towels even sun lotion. The Frig and microwave are very convenient to us. Just notice that the building first floor layout is little confusing. We got into building 1 by accident a few times. I highly recommend this list to all the travelers to Hawaii.

Jun 27, 2019Such a lovely place and amazing location. It is the perfect spot! The muffin and coffee in the nor ing were a great touch and the place itself was very clean and stylish. Having beach towels and beach gear was next level! Saves much time and money. Small note is that if you are driving a tall or long vehicle parking on site was difficult and or not possible due to height issues. But plenty of places to park all around with similar rates. I very highly recommend this cute little condo and would love to stay here again!!
Jun 27, 2019The location is amazing! A few minutes walk from the beach, popular food spots and not too far from zoo or aquarium. We did not need a car in this location. The extra amenities such as the beach towels, beach chairs, and sunscreen were much appreciated. The internet and TV worked well. Lowered rating to 4 stars because we couldn't figure out how to close the bathroom window so there were bugs in the room. It would have also been nice to have an indoor eating area. But the bed was super comfortable and the AC worked very well. All in all it was a great place for the price.
Jun 27, 2019Great Location! Literally a 2 minute walk to the beach! Super easy to catch the bus right by the tower to go to diamond head! Me, my wife, and our two young (<1 and <3) had a great time. I would recommend this place for anyone willing to be cozy in the same room as there children.

One block from the Waikiki surf beach and close to surf board hire, cafes, night life and shopping. We loved having beach chairs, boogie boards and beach towels included!! Jun 27, 2019The location is the biggest draw. It's cheap and in the middle of everything. The space itself is small, a bit downtrodden and not the tidyest. You have access to a small balcony which looks out to the ocean and the bigger hotels around Waikiki. A good place if you're on a budget.
Jun 27, 2019You really can't beat this place for the location and amenities for the price that it is! It's the perfect little spot for 2 people. We stayed in Waikiki for 4 days, the last night, everything is conveniently located, and you are such a short walk from the beach! It was hot, but the AC worked wonders, and we were able to keep cool! The wifi worked great, and we enjoyed our ocean view from the Lanai. What a great stay!!
Jun 27, 2019Chris's place was clean and cozy. It's conveniently close to the beach, great food and shopping. It's a great base to explore everything Waikiki, and ultimately O'ahu has to offer.
Jun 27, 2019This well-loved and pretty condo is in a GREAT location! Chris is a terrific host too. And what a fantastic price for a place in central Waikiki. While the building itself is older, the condo is great! I really I appreciated all the thoughtful touches, like the dishes, beach equipment, table & chairs on the lanai where I could see the water, and the air conditioning! A great bargain and a fun place to stay!

Jun 27, 2019This place was so cute, clean, and close to everything. The beach is just a block away, and you can walk to all of the great restaurants and shopping centers. Chris (the owner) is very accommodating and he will repond to you quickly if you have any questions. I definitely recommend staying at this place.
