Begum was such a great host! The aparment was exactly same as on the pictures, incredible apartment! Highly Highly Recomend!!!
Jun 27, 2019Very nice and new place. Good location near Taksim. Nice bars and restaurants around which are not too expensive. Very lively neighborhood. It also appeared to be safe. But you have to accept some noise on weekends. Our host Begum was very friendly. Unfortunately, she left the company who operates the apartment house, so I can't really say something about the others. If you're concerned about the protests on Taksim square and in the neighborhood, take a look at the (Hidden by Airbnb) groups the protesters use for their planning or just ask some Turkish people on the street. Like this we were able to evade the protest on Saturday during our stay. We met with a friend and spent the night at his place. Despite this, Istanbul is an incredible city and was well worth the 'risk'!

Jun 27, 2019Awesome place. It is exactly like on the pictures, all new. Most of the furnitures are custom made, nice job. The apartment was cleaned, bed was made every day which was unexpected, in a good way; great service. Good Wifi too. Super location, you can easily walk everywhere. Definitely recommending it!

Jun 27, 2019I am very happy that I was able to find a place like Raven Istanbul. I stayed there for three nights. The room was exotic and beautiful, Serap helped me book a ticket to Ankara (which was difficult for non-Turkish people to reserve), and the place was convenient for sightseeing. Even my Turkish friend seemed to love the place after I told her where I had stayed. I recommend the place to everyone who's visiting Istanbul.
Jun 27, 2019Raven is a cozy residence in a cool location. People working at Raven are friendly and helpful. In the neighborhood there are plenty of bars, restaurants, pubs, music and people till 4 in the morning. It’s a little noisy too.

Jun 27, 2019Great experience and nice staying in Raven. Just a bit noisy from our room since there was a lack of soundproofing in the building. We missed too some kitchen and cleaning utensils. On the other hand, guys running the pub and in charge of the rooms were very nice!
Jun 27, 2019This is our fourth visit to Istanbul and our family enjoyed the suite and hospitality. It was comfortable to have the two separate spaces and the kitchenette was ideal for us to prep food for long days out wandering. Yes, the space is incredibly loud from the bar below, but everyone including out 3.5 year old was able to sleep comfortable. Taxim in general is a 24 hour area, so if you are seeking quiet, I would suggest you book in a different neighborhood.
Jun 27, 2019We really enjoyed staying in our apartment with Raven. The owner was very attentive to enduring we had everything we needed and that everything was as expected. The apartment looks just as good as the pictures make it seem. The location was a great alternative to staying in the tourist saturated old town area. There is some noise from the bar below each night, so if you are a light sleeper you may want earplugs. It was no issue to us at all and we slept well!
Jun 27, 2019We stayed here for a few days and loved it so much we went back for another couple of days at the end of our trip. Raven Apartments are a great place to stay to experience Istanbul. Just off the busy Istiklal Street in a lively and vibrant area. The noise really didn't bother us - you have to expect a bit of noise in a city like this! The apartments were clean, spacious and great value, but the best thing about our stay was the great hospitality from the super friendly staff. We couldn't have asked for better hosts! They were so helpful in suggesting places to go - nothing was too much trouble for them. Thanks to Cemre and the boys for a really great time - We will be back!
Jun 27, 2019We really enjoyed our stay at the Raven. Perfect neighborhood. About a 25 minute walk to the "New Mosque" downhill. Steep uphill walk on the way home. Pros: -Raven Pub downstairs -Awesome neighborhood near Taksim and Istiklal (great nightlife) -Balcony was great for a drink and to relax -Bars are nearby but its not loud at night Cons: -A little hard to find at first ( (Hidden by Airbnb) Raven Pub) -Lots of stairs -Looks a little different from the pictures (slightly smaller) but was still a great space
Jun 27, 2019The Raven is in a brilliant location if you want to make the most of the many bars, restaurants, pubs and clubs in Istanbul. Its close to dozens of great places to eat, drink and shop as well as to lots of transport links to the rest of the city. The apartment itself is nice and is as pictured in the photos. We didnt have much contact with the host in advance or during the time we were there but they did answer all questions we had quickly and were pleasant to deal with. The only downside is the noise level from the bar below and from other residents coming in and out as there is pretty much no sound proofing in the apartment. However, we were aware that it was above a bar when we booked - its something to consider if you are planning on having a relaxing evening in Istanbul. We were out and about most of the time so it was fine!
Jun 27, 2019Beautiful and centrally located place, but very noisy - it is at the top of a pub and the walls are thin (feeling on sleeping right on top of the sound system) so we were waking up several times in the night.
Jun 27, 2019This suite looks exactly as it does in the pictures. Overall, it was clean, and the furnishings were comfortable. It's a hotel, not at all a home, so it was much less personal than my other Airbnb experiences. As someone else noted, there is no kitchen--just a refrigerator. Using (Hidden by Airbnb) Maps, I had no trouble finding the Raven. It's a very short walk (less than 10 min) from the Point Hotel, which is the main Taxim stop for Havatas, the shuttle to and from Ataturk airport (which is cheap and excellent). I wish I had heeded other reviewers' warnings about the noise. I'm not a light sleeper, but I stayed on a Saturday night, and the volume of the music from the bar downstairs was extremely loud. I did not sleep at all. Also, I found the ventilation of the room to be very poor. It's a non-smoking unit, but smoking from down below fills the room, even with windows open. All of my belongings reeked of cigarette smoke the next day. The intentions behind this place seem good, and it looks great. The experience of staying however is far, far from ideal.
Jun 27, 2019Location is perfect, easy access to the major highlights of Istanbul. The quality of the apartment is reasonable / but you may expect that downtown Taksim. The noise from the bar below is terrible (!) and certainly able to keep you awake until 03.00 - totally not adequate . unless you party yourselves until 3 AM.... The metals stairs will than wake you up again at 07.00 when other guests arrive ( or leave ) or the light on the hall way .. on my complaint the answer was very kind : I can bring you some cotton for you ears...(!) ...Reason for me to leave early and NOT finish my stay! and if you think after reading thos ...well...think (Website hidden by Airbnb) really that (!!) noisy !!
Jun 27, 2019The apartment was nice, comfortable and a good amount of space. We liked the location near Istiklal Street which was very convenient for going out, and for transportation options. However, the room smelled of smoke (which we think was coming up from the bar and street below). And the hot water was not reliable, lasting only a few minutes before turning cold.
Jun 27, 2019We only stayed for a night here as part of a layover, but our stay was welcoming and cozy. There's so much to do around the apartment it's easy walking distance. Restaurants, bars, and shops are all very close. Location was a plus. The room was very nice, as described by the pics. If we ever return to Istanbul, I will not hesitate to stay here again! Overall, great experience.

Jun 27, 2019Flat were very well located, people were nice but if you are two and want separated bed, let them know before. Because the flat is on a very dynamical street, it s very (very) noisy. I think it s good for less than 5 nights. Anyway, thanks to the host.

Jun 27, 2019I had a great time in Istanbul. The staff at Raven is very friendly and responsive to any questions and/or concerns. The apartment is really quaint and in the most happening neighborhood. With that said, it is not for everyone. We stayed on the second floor and the music from the cafe downstairs is pretty unbearable if you're not a spring chicken. And I am talking about every night of the week until 2:00 or 3:00 am. The apartment is perfect for people who are young or who are young at heart, but if you are looking for a quiet relaxing place to lay your head then you should keep looking. If you want to be in the middle of all the excitement, book this place right away. It is surrounded by the best nightlife in the city.

Jun 27, 2019Unfortunately I missed my original flight to Turkey so I only got to stay here for one night. I say unfortunately because the place is great, has everything you need and the location is utterly brilliant! You will immediately feel the 'vibe' of Taksim when you arrive. I guarantee it! :) The staff were very friendly and helpful. The wifi wasn't working when I arrived and they fixed it straight away. I really feel like I missed out not staying longer. One warning - This room is above a bar on a very lively street. It gets pretty noisy up until till the early hours of the morning. If you can handle that then I can't recommend this place enough. If you are a light sleeper or go to bed early, best look elsewhere.
Jun 27, 2019We loved staying at Raven. It was a short walk from the Taksim train station and really easy to find. It's located in a great area, surrounded by very local feeling bars and restaurants. There is a small bar down-stairs but noise wasn't an issue. Staff were friendly. The rooms were really cool - spacious and nice design.
Jul 27, 2019We could not have asked for a more wonderful host and place to stay. Istanbul is a truly magical city and Raven Suites made it even more so magical. Miray was a superb host. The location is key , very close to Taksim square. We literally walked everywhere and the Metro station was also close. I wish I had the time, we would have liked to increase our stay...We will be back.

We were only there for a night, but were able to easily check-in with the bartender (it sits above Raven Pub, which helps make it an easy location to find). The suite had AIR CONDITIONING, which was a rare and wonderful find. Beds/sheets/towels were comfortable and clean. Per other reviews, it was noisy due to the surrounding area, but we felt that this helped add to the atmosphere and honestly with the AC on, you couldn't even hear it. Last, but not least the bar gives you one (huge) beer upon check-in which was a great nightcap.

Jun 27, 2019Pros: - The place is really really good. It looks exactly as on the pictures. There is everything you might need. The size is really good for 2 persons. - The location is great, right next to Taksim, very central and 10mn from the Havatas shuttles to the airport. - There is a nice cat chilling in the stairs. Cons: - We had a huge check-in problem and complete lack of communication from Raven. I sent an email on the day prior to our arrival, telling them that we would arrive very late. We didn't hear from them and when we arrived at 3am, the bar was closed, with no way to get to the rooms, and their phone written in AirBnB was off. Hopefully people in the street helped us and the owner of the liquor shop in front of the hotel called a guy, who called a guy, who took us to sleep at another place (belonging to the same group) until the next day. When we arrived the day after at Raven we explained the thing to the staff but didn't get any apologies from their side. - Noisy 8.30am bar deliveries - No hot water on the first day However the place is really great and I highly recommend it. I would just warn you about late check-ins...
Jun 27, 2019Das Apartment ist klein aber gemütlich. Was in einigen Bewertungen breite bemängelt wurde ist tatsächlich der Lärmpegel. Da man direkt über einem Pub wohnt ist bis teilweise spät in die Nacht laute Musik zu hören. Eine Küche öde Küchenutensilien gibt es bis auf einen Wasserkocher nicht. Bestimmt ok für 1 bis 2 Nächte jedoch für länger eher anstrengend.

Jun 27, 2019Great place in a wonderful location. The bar downstairs is fantastic and was a great way to end each evening. They aren't the best at communicating in regards to check-in but don't worry; just go there and as long as the bar is open you should be able to access your room.
Jun 27, 2019The best thing about the B&B is the location. If you are a lone female traveler, wouldn't have any safety issues.Right on the Istikal Street and 3 minutes from the Metro as well as the Airport pickup station. The rooms are clean and cosy and tastefully done though too compact. There is a nice buzz on the road which would further pick up your holiday spirit. Word of caution: Please try and confirm the check in and check out time previously beforehand,they did try to trick us on this.
Jun 27, 2019Ein sehr schön restauriertes Haus in mitten des Party-, Ausgeh- und Szeneviertels. Im Erdgeschoss befindet sich eine Bar und dann jeweils auf einer eigenen Etage die drei Appartemens, die mit Liebe zum Detail und schönem Design eingerichtet sind. Alles für ein verlängertes Wochenende ist vorhanden: Kühlschrank, Wasserkocher, Föhn, zwei Fernseher, Klimaanlage (!), W-Lan, Handtücher, Pantoffeln, Seife, Schampoo, Bettwäsche usw. Somit guter Hotel-Standard. Dabei deutlich geräumiger, schöner und gemütlicher als ein "normales" Hotelzimmer. Und das zu einem relativ günstigen Preis. Die Lage ist nahezu optimal. Mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln, auch vom Flughafen aus, sehr gut zu erreichen (Haltestelle Taksim-Platz). In direkter Nachbarschaft unzählige Bars, Restaurants, Geschäfte und Clubs, die zu Fuß problemlos erreicht werden können. Selbst die Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Altstadt kann man mit einem ausgiebigen Spaziergang (ca. 30 - 40 Min.) zu Fuß erreichen. So erhält man einen schönen Einblick in das Stadtleben der einzelnen Viertel. Kann ich nur empfehlen! Check-In und -Out absolut problemlos. Einfach in der Bar melden. Das dortige Personal ist total freundlich und jederzeit um das Wohl der Gäste bemüht. An dieser Stelle noch mal vielen Dank an die gesamte Mannschaft! Einziger Wehmutstropfen ist etwas der Geräuschpegel. Die Fenster sind zwar gut schallisoliert. Aber der abendliche und auch nächtliche Trubel in dem Viertel, wie auch die Bar im Erdgeschoss, gehen nicht geräuschlos vorbei. Wer also die Abende ruhig mit einem Buch oder vor dem Fernseher verbringen will -> schwierig. Wir waren aber jeden Abend unterwegs und es hat uns kaum was ausgemacht. Daher ok! Also, absolut empfehlenswert!!! Vielen Dank!
Jun 27, 2019The stay was disappointing. The room smelled strongly of smoke. I could hear people's conversations in the bar whilst I was in the bedroom because the room is directly above the bar. The stairs are very loud and being in the room above the bar meant I could hear whenever another guest arrived to go to the apartments on the higher floors as the wall between the stairs and the room is very thin. The bar closed at midnight (this was on a Monday so may be later at weekends) so this wasn't a problem. However if you go to sleep earlier, then it will be difficult as the music is loud. Although I knew it would be loud and lively above a bar, I was not prepared to be woken up by other guests arriving during the night because of the thin walls, and to stay in a room constantly smelling of smoke. Unfortunately I cut the stay short and went elsewhere. If the room was on a higher floor, then it may have been better but I'm not really convinced. I only recommend this place if you are not planning to sleep, and want a good location near to the busy pedestrian street.

Ev sahipleri ise oldukça sıcakkanlı ve yardımseverdi bize karşı. Genel olarak tavsiye edebileceğim memnuniyette kaldığım bir daire oldu. Herşey için teşekkürler. Sevgiler
Jun 27, 2019Look exactly like the picture, feels a little small but pretty comfortable. Great location with decent night life and lots of food downstairs. However acoustic is not so good especially you are a light sleeper. But it is ok for me and my friend. One big problem is that it always small like smoke - no matter it comes from tobacco or the grill smoke down stair. Other than that it is generally a good stay
Jun 27, 2019Great location and very nice appartment. Especially for this price. Downstairs there is a small cafe where you can drink coffee or a beer for again a good price. The owner was friendly and helpfull. We enjoyed it very much. Best thing was the shower. Amazing!

I even would say the size was perfect, not to big and not to Small.... its a very nice place in the middle heart of taksim! Jun 27, 2019Amazing place in the middle of city center. Location is near Istikal street (the most famous one in Taksim), but it's not so crowded! The hotel is looking exactly like on the pictures! Very clean and private. We really like our host . He was there all the time to help us and answer on all our questions! We would definitely recommend this hotel! Thank you thank you ❤️

The hosts were very helpful with regards to information needed to get around town. The space was very clean and comfortable which made the experience even more enjoyable.

Jun 27, 2019L'appartement est vraiment bien situé, au coeur d'Istanbul et vraiment pratique pour se balader .Le personnel vraiment agréable et disponible. En revanche , j'ai logé dans une chambre du premier étage situé au dessus du pub très bruyant . J'ai profité merveilleusement d'istanbul avec cet appartement mais je n'ai pas pu me reposer .
Jun 27, 2019Easy to find, easy check it , fast internet, clean , in the heart of istiklal night life. I've stayed there for one night and it was very convenient for me because of the location. What I didn't like we the fact that the cigarette smoke from downstairs came into the room , extremely thin entrance door and walls. I like the fact that you could hear the nightlife buzz directly in the room, but if you want a quiet place - this hotel is not for you.

Il nous a suggéré des restaurants, et était toujours prêt à nous guider lors de nos questions. L'appartement est sympa, surtout entre amis festifs, car un bruyant. Il est très bien situé, à proximité de commerces et transports.
Jun 27, 2019Me and my girlfriend had an excellent time staying at Ravens apartment in Istanbul. Location was ideal - easy walk (5 mins) to the main shopping area and lots of cool restaurants and bars. It's also a few streets back from the main street so other than general hustle and bustle it wasn't too noisy at night. The appartment has a funky / urban feel too which we liked. Cool little bar downstairs too. They were excellent hosts being flexible with timings and providing helpful information before our trip. Would happily stay their again.
Jun 27, 2019It was a nice stay at the Raven Suite Istanbul. I arrived very late due to the late flight plus delay with the notification. The communication was prompt and Nuri was very nice to welcome me even after midnight. The property is just look the same as the photo and very well situated, just 2 mins walking distance from taksim square and few steps away from istiklal cad, the famous walking street with shops, restaurants and everything you need during your visit to istanbul. The facilities works well, and very comfortable, even Nuri told me that i may check out a bit late with no extra fee. And there is a raven cafe just under the apartment, in case you need a refreshment.

Jun 27, 2019We had such a great time in Istanbul. The apartments are set in a really vibrant area, so much going on and so much to see! They are a short walk from Beyoglu, an area with lots of amazing windy streets filled with cute little cafes and antique shops. Raven was an amazing host, our flight was delayed 3 hours but he waited for us until the early hours of the morning and it wasn't a problem. Thank you! Katy x

Jun 27, 2019The location was exactly as advertised and the host was exceptional. Our host spoke with our cab driver to ensure we arrived at the correct address and met us where/when the cab dropped us off ( a few blocks away from the hotel) . On arrival, he treated us to refreshments and shared with us the best places to visit. He even shared with us his public transit card! He treated us to refreshments on our departure then walked us to a cab and spoke with the cab driver to ensure that we weren't charged too much for the trip to the airport. I would highly recommend this location/host.

Jun 27, 2019The worse thing about this appartament are bugs. A lot of bugs! It was terrible staying. Appartament is tiny even for 2 persons so don't believ the ad saying that appartament can host 4 persons. Among the good things are location and balcony. Also the maid was very kind.

Jun 27, 2019Raven is in an extremely convenient location near Taksim Square. Upon arrival, our host welcomed us and gave us a cold beer to enjoy as he explained the space and gave us some advice for our time in Istanbul. The room, itself, was quiet, clean, and comfortable. I would stay here again.

Jun 27, 2019We have stayed at the Raven in the past and loved the location, vibrancy of the street below and the kindness of the hosts. Since we stayed there previously we had requested a specific room and were told our request would be granted. However when we arrived our requested room was not available and it was the only one with a balcony. The hosts went above and beyond to try and accommodate us including finding another place to stay with a balcony. We only stayed one night and ended up switching hotels, but they even helped us with our luggage and carried it on a 15 minute walk to the other hotel. They did not have to do this and I was really surprised at how accommodating and friendly they were. Even though we ended up switching places I would still come back and stay at the Raven again since the hosts are first class and I don't fault them for the mixup. Our remaining fee for the other nights was refunded and they even followed up a week later to make sure our funds had cleared to make sure we got our refund. You just don't see this honesty every day and we hope to come back and visit next time.

To/From IST airport, take the cheap Havatas bus, it gets you near Taksim square, walking distance to Raven suite. Host: Nuri and his staff are wonderful and genuinely helpful. Jun 27, 2019Located in the meandering street of one of the busiest areas, Taksim. Nori's bnb is definitely one to NOT be missed. On top of the cleanliness and convenience his bnb provides, he's also one of the friendliest and most caring hosts we've met. He was helping us with all directions and places to visit, often offering us beer from his pub and tea from the street eatery beside! When I twisted my ankle, he bought medicine for me along with my boyfriend and even offer to take me to the hospital. The room we stayed in looked exactly like the picture; a house keeper came to clean our room within the 3 days of our stay. We really enjoyed our time in Istanbul with Noris hospitality! We will definitely stay here if we visit again!

Just minutes from Taksim square and surrounded by really great restaurants. The host was warm and friendly and provided us with a beer on arrival and lots of great tips for our stay. We look forward to staying here again next time we travel to Istanbul!

Jun 27, 2019Great location, great people managing the place, really helpful and friendly. It is in the middle of the vibrant Taksim life and possibly could not be any better in terms of location. The place is really cosy and comfortable with great wi-fi, clean bathroom and very eccentric design. This has been a great experience for me. It would be even greater for people who look into making new like-minded friends in the town as this building also hosts a very nice pub/cafe. Definitely recommend it :)

Tons of bars and clubs in the area, and most important they seem to be open all night! Lots of places to grab a late snack. Nuri was awesome, he gave us good advises on how to get to the old city and invited us some beers from his pub the first night.

Only problem if you sleep early it will not be possible as location is surrounded by night clubs, its music can even reach to your ears in a bedroom. Jun 27, 2019A few finishing touches to the apartment and a bit of noise from the tiny bar downstairs are the only things that are holding this place back from a 5 star rating. The location can not be better, 1 min walk to Taksim Sq! The area is really nice to walk around and all attractions on this side of Istanbul are easily reachable on foot! In fact we really enjoyed the walk from Suleymaniye on the other side of the bridge to the apartment with our 5 yr old son (took about 45 mins with some small breaks). Unlike some other parts of Istanbul, we felt very safe here. The host is fantastic, always helpful and providing all the guidance you need without being intrusive. He even let us check in early and check out late at no extra cost! And I have no doubt he will help all guests anyway he can.

The bar downstairs was a great place to hang out but was very noisy throughout the night. If you're in Istanbul for the nightlife, then this is the place for you.

Jun 27, 2019Great location. Bartenders are sweet and very hospitable. Bring ear plugs and you will sleep well. We were very fortunate to have the top (4th floor) balcony room. Note: this is the only room without a divider to separate the living room sofa bed from the actual bed in the bedroom. Floors 3, 2 and 1 have a moveable partition down the middle making it "2 rooms".

Jun 27, 2019If you're looking for a central location and close to nightlife this is the place for you. Its cheap, central, convenient. Host was very kind to let us check in pretty early before 12pm. Was welcomed with turkish tea and even provided us with free welcoming drinks. Great host great apartment! Value for money definitely!
Jun 27, 2019탁심 광장에서 도보 5분 거리인 위치가 굉장한 장점입니다. 하지만 1층이 Raven pub이고 방음은 귀마개를 해도 소용없을 만큼 형편없기 때문에 예민하신 편이라면 힘들 수 있습니다. 마지막날 아침에 물이 잠깐 안나오긴 했지만, 에어컨이나 냉장고 모두 문제없었습니다. 소음 문제만 아니면 가성비 괜찮은 숙소입니다:)

Jun 27, 2019It was okay. It's located in the busiest part of the city. There was a small hiccup checking in but the hosts were very nice. We checked in around midnight, and we were just dead tired from traveling. So to be held up at the bar downstairs for a good 15 mins did not make things better. I just wanted to go in, shower, and pass out. The place overall was decent. It looked a lot better in photos. It's clean but the place reeked of smoke. I didn't mind the noise from downstairs that much but don't book here if you're looking for a quiet place.
Jun 27, 2019Our stay was delightful. I checked other comments before booking here, as they say it’s quit small place but architect used every area functional and well. And also the place is very close everything you need ! I think it’s a good place for touristic visit and if you like nightlife the place is very close to some good night clubs. Although it can also be noisy to stay... on Monday we had to left early morning and couldn’t get our last sleep well. They have also pub at the ground level. Staff were amazingly friendly. In our last night we had time to hang out a bit with them, they offered us free tea and popcorn. That was nice. Thanks :)

Jun 27, 2019The lodge is basically a hotel/hostel above a bar, huge space for the price I paid. Don’t send a message to host in Airbnb apps/site, better to contact him through (Hidden by Airbnb) . Otherwise, the place is centrally located about 10 minutes of walk from Taksim metro station, in the middle of Istanbul night life scenes.

However, very convenient to get around and nice food places around the vicinity as it is very centralised. 5 minutes walk to Taksim Metro. Host is a bartender at the bar below, very friendly and helpful if you have any queries.

Jun 27, 2019Raven’s place was amazing. If you are looking to socialize, party or just visit istanbul, it is the perfect place for you. Close to shops, bars, pubs and the most central street in the old town of Istanbul. The only reason I might not find it suitable for everyone is because there is loud music and party around until about 4:00 AM - If you are a light sleeper and want to go ti bed early this might be a problem for you during the weekend.

Gürültü hakkında yazılanlarla ilgili olarak, istiklal caddesi gibi merkezi bir yerde kalmak istiyorsanız civardaki kalınacak yerler gürültü açısından farklı değil, bu durum bu yere özel birşey değil. Ayrıca aşırı da bir gürültü yoktu. Ben tavsiye ediyorum.
Jun 27, 2019Great little apartment right in the heart of the city. They let us check in early and leave our stuff behind for a bit longer when we had to check out, which was very nice of them. The place is anbit smaller than expected however has all of the basics (no shampoo or shower gel though) and is perfect for a quick stay. The location meant there was a lot of noise up until early hours of the morning, so don’t forget to bring ear plugs!
Jun 27, 2019We stayed on the fourth floor above raven bar for 3 nights. Reg was very nice and friendly once we were there, but no communication prior to check in. The apartment is an excellent location, and being in the 4th floor really helped with the noise. Our main issue was the cleanliness, a strong cigarette odor and in visible stains and mildew around the apartment, even still this is a great value, but people with allergies should be aware.

We were 3 girls and they were very nice to offer help to carry our luggage’s as there were no lift. Very active nightlife area and safe . Free coffee and tea , clean and stylish place.

We got the top unit with a balcony which was amazing to listen to people watch and see a bit of sunset. As the description says, and other reviewers have mentioned.. you’ll be on a lively street above a bar. It was beautiful weather and people were out past 3am. I loved the place and would definitely stay again if I’m lucky enough to get back to Istanbul.

The hosts were really helpful in advance, the bar downstairs means there is always somone on hand. I would definitely recommend staying here, the only downside was the noise levels at night from the bar, although this might have been exacerbated by the world cup during my visit.

Jun 27, 2019Would not recommend. Unfortunately it was super loud in the flat, even with earplugs sleeping was hard: The apartment is above a bar. That means loud music and people till 3 a.m. The stairs in the stairway are out of metall. Whenever somebody walks up or down the stairs, the whole house will here it. As the stairs are also used by costumers of the pub, it is very loud till late at night. During our stay there were also builders for two days, hammering and sawing for hours. Host was not helpful when approaching him on this. You smell smoke in the room and the towels, though there is a "please don't smoke" sign. Pro: Raven's place is located very convenient close to Istiklal and Taksim. Good to reach via public transportation. AC works.

Jun 27, 2019This was the perfect place for us. We had 5 days in Istanbul and we were comfortable, cool (it was quite hot while we were there!) and found Raven to be a lovely host. You will hear the noise from below and on the street so if you want a silent place, this isn't for you. But we really enjoyed listening to the world go by under our stylish apartment and we were very happy with the location as well! Would highly recommend.

Jun 27, 2019This suite is really nice, clean and looks as it does in the photos. Staff were very helpful and friendly. However, do not stay here if you want to get any sleep. There's a bar next door that has live concerts every night, starting about midnight or 1am and they go until sunrise. It was incredibly loud and impossible to sleep for my entire stay.

It goes beyond regular street and bar noise. It is a shame because it is well located, but for us it was not a good experience, and the worst thing is that the host did not care about it.

Jun 27, 2019The apartment was in a great location with easy access to transport, bars, restaurants and shops, and easy to find. However, the apartment seems to back onto a night club and we were kept awake on both nights of our stay by extremely loud live music with a heavy bass which we could hear and feel till early morning, even with ear plugs. There was a lack of towels and bedding, couldn't get the tvs to work, had to ask for wi-fi code . Also the kitchen' is very basic. A fridge and just a kettle and cups and glasses with no plates, knives, spoons or forks provided and no toaster or microwave. It was smaller than it looked on the photos and would be ok for a couple but was a little crowded with the sofa bed in use. On a positive note it was generally clean and the bathroom had a good shower.
Jun 27, 2019As the previous guests wrote, Raven is situated at a top location. Flawless check out. Only 3 cons. First, the check in was not flawless since the guys at the pub did not speak any English and the process was really slow and uneasy. Second, there was neither shampoo nor shower gel, there was only a small hand soap available. Finally, the walls and windows' insulation was inaccurate for the music from the bar downstairs playing till 7 in the morning (but I was prepared for that :) ). Overall, a nice experience!
Jun 27, 2019Raven apartments are run by fantastic people whose communication and response times are great. The apartment is quite dark and a bit gloomy (it's not luxury, it's well lived in modern) but it is perfect for two people who enjoy being in the thick of it and go out a lot at night. The bar downstairs is good fun and run by lovely people. Our room was on level two and the bedroom wall is shared with a neighbouring club who play loud music from 11pm - 4am seemingly every night (the city never sleeps!). I live in the inner city back home and normally sleep like the dead but this level of noise made the bed vibrate and we had awful sleepless nights. Following complaints and two restless nights, we were moved off site to another hotel. I can't speak highly enough of the staff at Raven. We were treated incredibly well and it made the experience worth it. So I would recommend Raven for people who love the nightlife amd can tolerate excessive noise from the neighbours.

Jun 27, 2019The apartment is great! It‘s just a few meters to the Taksim square. It‘s a bit noisy at night because it’s in the middle of the nightlife in Istanbul, which is also good for people who want to go out in the evening/ night. The apartment was clean and perfect for two people! We would choose this apartment anytime again!
Jun 27, 2019We were ok with the noise from the bar and expected this based upon previous reviews. However the owners changed the beer kegs at 8am which was extremely loud, which then followed by over an hour of drilling and building work with little thought for the guests which was a shame.

Jun 27, 2019It was a great location, clean, and really cute. No one in the building spoke English or knew the correct WiFi password. Luckily we got it figured out but I took a few hours and I needed the WiFi for work, which had been made clear to the host prior to staying there. Also, the bar downstairs/next door is very noisy until really late, so bring earplugs if you’re a light sleeper.
Jun 27, 2019The place is great, noise didn't bother me, infact it me sleep better because the music was relaxing. hosts were lovely and respected our privacy. The only down side is the bad neighbourhood it can be unsafe but it is close to Taksim and everything else.
Jun 27, 2019Great location, however it should be noted that the street it’s on is extremely noise all throughout the night. There was also an overwhelming cigarette smell 24 hours a day. Finding the spot was another nightmare. Istanbul is a beautiful city, which made up for the issues with this Airbnb!
Jun 27, 2019Turkcesi asagida: The first three nights that we stayed there I actually thought “I don’t have one bad thing to say about this place”. The location is amazing, I loved the decoration and the place was spotless and wasn’t nearly as noisy as described by the other reviewers. The only thing that really left a bad taste on my mouth was the fact the host entered our room without communicating it to us first. We came back from outside and there were new towels new sheets etc. In an airbnb I don’t expect room service so I just leave my stuff around (underwear, money etc.). If I had been asked I would have said no thank you, I don’t want any room service. This also made me question if they were there before. Maybe other people won’t think this is a big deal but I would have very much liked to be advised beforehand. Burada kaldigimiz ilk uc gece burayla ilgili tek bir kotu sey soyleyemem diye dusundum cunku yeri harika, dekorasyon da cok guzel ve asla soylenen kadar gurultulu degil. Dorduncu gecemizde beni rahatsiz eden sey su oldu: disardan geldigimizde odamiza biz yokken host tarafindan girilip yeni havlu vs koyulmus oldugunu gorduk. Ben normalde airbnblerde oda servisi gibi bir beklentiye sahip olmadigim icin esyalarimi baskasinin gorecegi kaygisi olmadan birakiyorum. Eger bana sorulmus olsaydi da oda servisi istemedigimi belirtirdim ama sorulmadi. Haberim olmadan odama girilmis olmasi beni gercekten cok rahatsiz etti. Belki bazi insanlar bunun buyuk bir olay oldugunu dusunmeyebilir ama benim icin onemliydi. Eger sizin icin de onemliyse hostla girmeden istemediginize dair konusun derim.

Jun 27, 2019Great location in the city, however the flat is quite small and the furnishings are a bit tired. The apartment has a small pub downstairs that has a nice selection of beers available and live HD football. This location is definitely not for a light sleeper, even with earplugs. There is a live music venue directly adjacent to apartment block and you are likely to hear the sound of guitars and drums. Throughout our week here, this noise was present from midnight til 6:00 am every day and in one case til 9:00am on the 2nd Jan. After finally getting to sleep, on 2 occasions I was woken by a delivery of beer kegs that were dropped on the bottom of the metal spiral stairs. Unfortunately this resonates throughout the entire apartment block. You are spoilt for choice in the city with restaurants so don’t feel like you need to jump in the first place you see. You can wander around the side streets and restaurants are in abundance. Our host was extremely helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcome.
