We have had some great experiences using Air BnB to travel to New York, but Liz's place is the best of them all. It's in a great location in Park Slope, near the subway and many great restaurants and shops. The apartment is very spacious and clean. Allie the cat is a good proxy host while Liz is away. Thanks Liz for a wonderful visit!
Jun 27, 2019Elizabeth was a fabulous host. She picked us out from NYC standby list promptly and we reached a week long deal within a day for a short notice arrangement, great communication. Her location in Park Slope is prime, only a few stops away from south end of Manhattan. Subway station is literally around the corner, you can only get more convenient if you build a subway entrance directly in her living room. Everyone I have talked to about Brooklyn, they all praise Park Slope area. Apartment is spacy, full of light at daytime, totally quiet at night time and she has manually operated AC units to take care of the heat. It runs through two floors, with a second bedroom upstairs with a private entrance. Kitchen and bathroom have everything you need, in fully working condition. It literally is home away from home. Her cat Allie is totally cool and friendly, we took care of her for the week when Liz was away. Take care, Liz. We had a great introduction trip to NYC. Hope to see you again!
Jun 27, 2019Liz was very communicative and has a wonderfully convenient apartment for a few day stay in the area. It was no fuss to take our 6 month old into the city as the station is only a half block away, and there are tons of delicious restaurants and groceries within two or three blocks to come home to!
Jun 27, 2019we stayed at Liz's apartment for little over 2 weeks, and it was great. the apartment has a great space and great natural light . the location is very good, close to the trendy bards and cafes of 5th av, and close to the R line going to Manhattan. the cat was nice and friendly, so much that our 15 months daughter kept looking for him in our new apartment. Liz was great and welcoming, and really made us feel at home. As a small family we warmly recommend this location for anyone who wants to enjoy both the hectic side of Manhattan quite neighborhood vibe and privacy of park slope. Nany, Tamar and Ariel.

Jun 27, 2019We've just come back from New York. It was an amazing experience! We had a very pleasant stay in Liz's appartment, which is spacioius and very clean. The location is only a couple of steps away from the subway, which is very convenient for travellers. On top of all, Liz is very easygoing, communicative, and wonderful. She was always ready to offer information about New York city. Her cat, Allie, is friendly and very quiet. Our two daughters just adore her.

Jun 27, 2019We had a wonderful stay at Liz's apartment. The apartement itself was clean, spacious and well equiped and her cat Allie was a sweet an unobtrusive presence. It's in a great and very convenient neighborhood. Lis was an attentive host despite being out of town. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Jun 27, 2019My family flew in from England and had the apartment for a week and loved it! It's perfectly situated in Park Slope Brooklyn half a block away from the subway and in a very safe neighborhood, the apartment itself was great, very spacious and comfortable. Anyone thinking of coming to NY would be silly to pay the price for a hotel when you can have all the comforts of home at more than half the price. Would highly recommend Liz's apartment to anyone who wants to be near NYC. World trade center, Macy's, Time Square and Central Park are all on the train line less than a block away, no need to even transfer to other trains. And the neighborhood was wonderful with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants there was even an English bar a few blocks away!, Liz was great, any questions we had were promptly answered and Allie the cat was so cute, All in all a great place to stay a great location and would go back for sure.
Jun 27, 2019Our family of 4 adults spent a fantastic long weekend celebrating a milestone occasion in NYC, staying at Liz's apartment as our home base. The apartment is immaculate, spacious, situated in a great location close to the subway, great restaurants and all the basic conveniences. Liz was a gracious host, warmly sharing her home with us. Her neighbors are friendly and street parking was relatively easy to find. And Allie, her cat, was a welcoming added bonus!

Jun 27, 2019Elizabeth's apartment is quite nice, it comes equipped with two large bedrooms, one with a private bathroom, a big living room and a fully equipped kitchen. Both rooms and the living room have big windows that let in a lot of light. The apartment is clean and comfortable, and the subway I'd right on the corner (R line). With only one stop you're in Atlantic avenue station, where you can connect with many other lines. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is because of some noise from the upstairs apartment. It seems that some children live there and we could sometimes hear they running around. It wasn't overbearing but it did wake me up than I wanted to one morning, so I reckon it's worth one star. Apart from that me and my friends had a nice stay and Elizabeth's personally was very sweet and easy to deal with.
Jun 27, 2019Liz's home met our needs perfectly, being in close proximity to Manhattan but without the crowds. As a runner, I appreciated it being a few blocks from Prospect Park. As a family, it has the feeling of being at home without the confines of a hotel room and having the secure street entry door gave my wife extra peace of mind. All of her recommendations were spot on, including restaurants and even the car service. Liz was very communicative and provided helpful feedback for any questions. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and given the opportunity, would use her flat again.
Jun 27, 2019L'appartement d'Elizabeth est vraiment parfait : la cuisine est très bien équipée ; les deux chambres sont spacieuses ; les deux salles de bain très confortables . Configuration idéale pour des parents à un étage et les enfants à l'autre. Un balcon donne sur des jardinets où domine la végétation. Nous n'avons pas rencontré Elizabeth, mais elle avait laissé dans l'appartement beaucoup de renseignements qui nous ont été fort utiles et a toujours été très réceptive dans nos échanges. L'immeuble est à quelques minutes à pied de la station Union Street (ligne R qui dessert Brooklyn et Manhattan) et on accède en 15 mn à pied à Prospect Park. Malheureusement, suite à l'ouragan Sandy, le passage sous l'East river est en travaux jusqu'en novembre 2014 et il faut changer de ligne pour accéder à Manhattan. Le séjour fut cependant très agréable, la chatte Allie semblant aussi apprécier notre compagnie, et nous gardons un excellent souvenir des jours passés chez Elizabeth. .
Jun 27, 2019Staying at Elizabeth's place in Park Slope was the first time I have ever used Airbnb. From the very first inquiry I made until the day I was leaving was an absolute delight. Elizabeth was very quick to respond and easy to touch base with. My friend and I were able to spend time with her sweet cat while she was away while also enjoying the home away from home feeling during our visit. The photos certainly do not do the house justice. The view in the morning was amazing. The water pressure is lovely, the house was so clean and easy to move around in. Transportation to and from the city and different neighborhoods in Brooklyn was easy. I hope to stay in touch with her and visit again.
Jun 27, 2019We had a wonderful time in Liz's apartment. It was comfortable, spacious, clean - and we felt right at home. Liz was super responsive and so easy to deal with. The neighborhood was lovely as well. And we enjoyed Allie :-). We'd definitely stay there again!
Jun 27, 2019Our stay in Elizabeth's apartment was a blast.After traveling all around USA and staying at different hotels it felt so good to feel comfortable as we are in our own home.The apartment is so clean and it has everything you would ever need.The cat Allie was also a bonus to have (she is very easy,calm and nice to have around). Elizabets was always there to help just a message ahead.Neighborhood is nice and safe and even it is in Brooklyn,the R train is just at the corner which makes it very easier to get to Manhattan.R was under construction and was not running weekdays when we were there,just our luck! But it was not very hard even with that.We are very glad to stay in Elizabeth's.And will definitely stay with her for the next time.

Her instructions and suggestions were very helpful, and she was more than gracious in sending back a few left-behind items!
