This clean and bright condo is in a central location on the Big Island. This is home to the famous Ironman race and we are right up the street from the starting line. There is super snorkeling in the bay, paddle boards, kayaks and bike rentals are available at the beach hut "Kona Boys" also right here in front of the Court Yard Marriott. You can visit the Marriott on the weekend for "All you can eat" crab Buffett, or go to the outside bar for cocktails, or the luau if desired. The sunset dinner cruise on the Body glove boat, the submarine and glass bottom boat are located at the pier as well. There is a jet ski island and para sailing here, something for everyone in this part of town. The famous Splashers bar and grill is right there on the corner. Enjoy meals on the "lanai" seating for four around the bistro set and the hanging swing. There is an open air trolly for $2. It's two dollars each way. Exact cash. There are two different routes. One to the beaches and the one to the stores make sure you get on the one the one you want. The beach travel takes you to Magic Sands, Kahaluu which is amazing snorkeling and they rent equipment there all the way to the Sheraton where the manta rays are at night. Located straight down the hill in front of the abc store. I am not sure of the pickup schedule.

It's Hawaii and we want to avoid all bugs. *No candles or incense *No aerosol spray's or spray sunscreen in the house or on the lanai. *Please hang all wet clothing and towels on rack and hooks provided. *Please leave bath towels here at the unit and if using a beach towel make sure all Sand is removed before entering *Remove all trash to the dumpster daily. *No smoking in condo or on lanai to avoid losing security deposit. Adrienne was super responsive and very kind. The place was clean and cozy. The location wasn't ready but she had a comparable, nearby place available. It had a parking space, which was helpful. She even had guidebooks and such for the area handy, and toiletries. Cons: a few tiny ants, apparently common in Hawaii.
Jun 27, 2019Adrienne's place was a great find! I daresay my best airbnb experience ever. The location was perfect. Behind the place was the KTA store and Kona Coffee Company. Walk a few minutes down Palani you get to the start of Alii drive. I was able to get around and do my Kona itinerary with just a bike for the first few days. I really felt at home here. The place was huge and I had it all to myself. The furniture and decorations were well put together. I loved the paintings and pictures hung around the wall. Lots of pillows, plenty of towels, well stocked toilet, and even the kitchen had every utensil I may need to cook a dish. This is a new place and while there were some teething issues, Adrienne addressed every thing quickly. She and her friend Monica even helped me get a transfer to the airport last minute when I had issues with my rental car. Great place, great host. I'd love to come back and stay here again.
Jun 27, 2019The apt is really nice! Very clean, new and well equipped. Adrienne is fantastic and she helped us with everything we asked during and before our stay. The apt is very close to ali drive (kona center): you can reach it just walking 5 minutes and you will find all restaurants and shops. Just near the apt you can also find other shops to eat or buy whatever... It is also very good for visiting all the great big island beaches: both north than south side, as well as the mauna kea summit. Kona is a very hot town (also in the night) with no wind at all; so the only suggestion we made to Adrienne is to add in the bedroom a portable air cond. At the moment there are 3 fans in the entite house which are ok for the living room but sometimes not suffucient in the bedroom to sleep properly. Overall, we enjoyed our stay! :-)

Jun 27, 2019Good place to stay location wise. Right in the middle of where you want to be in Kona. Shopping, restaurants, and the ocean. Apartment was clean and had enough space for the two of us. There is no A/C in this apartment, which is listed in the description. It gets hot, almost unbearable during the day.

Jun 27, 2019I stayed at this apartment with my husband and two sons, ages 19 and 10, for just the last night of our ten-night stay on the Big Island. It was a very clean, comfortable apartment within a very short walk to the ocean and all of the restaurants and shops, as well as a short drive to the Kona Airport. The parking space alone was priceless! But the bed and pull-out were also comfortable, we loved lounging on the screened-in deck, and the kitchen was nicely appointed (aside from missing a microwave, which we assumed was there to heat up leftovers). The only other amenity that would have improved our stay would have been an air conditioner. The fans were nice, but as a second-floor unit, it gets warm. Otherwise, we felt like this was a great find in a great location, and the host was very communicative and did everything she could to ensure we had a nice stay. We will certainly seek it out again when we return to the Big Island -- and hopefully for more than just one night next time.
Jun 27, 2019We very much enjoyed our stay here. The apartment was spacious for 2 people, well appointed, and clean. Adrienne went out of her way to make sure that we were comfortable and had what we needed. We loved the lanai and appreciated all the ceiling fans. The location is very convenient to shopping and restaurants. The only minor issue is that the location is a bit noisy when all the windows are open. I would definitely recommend this apartment to others.
Jun 27, 2019My husband and I were pleased with this condo. Neighborhood was quiet, nice view of the ocean, and easy walking distance to the water. We sat out on the lanai with a cold drink and watched heat lightening show over the ocean. Although the place doesn't have air conditioning, there are lots of fans and a cool breeze which keeps the place comfortable. The place was clean and the bed was comfortable.
Jun 27, 2019If you're looking for a great value place in the most convenient of locations, this is it. You can walk to anything you need from here. KTA, Kona Coffee, Kona Brewery, and plenty of great restaurants are all close by. But if you are driving around you do have a convenient parking space as well. The place was very clean and well equipped. No their isn't A/C but there are plenty of fans in every room, you're in Hawaii so enjoy the weather. Great to sit out on the lanai in the mornings and drink coffee. You won't be disappointed.
Jun 27, 2019Adrienne's place was just what we needed! We were extending our trip and needed an affordable, comfortable, and clean place to stay. We were pleasantly surprised at how cute it was too! I loved sitting on the swing to have breakfast in the morning. We were cool and comfortable at night, there are plenty of fans to make that happen. Adrienne was very friendly and helpful. She called us shortly after we landed and made it known she was available for questions or concerns. She even invited us out to snorkel with her- she is an underwater photographer and got stills and videos of us with sea turtles! She gave us information to help us on our outings as well. She also is a vacation babysitter and is very sweet to the littles. This was our first airbnb experience and it was a great one! Thank you Adrienne!

Jun 27, 2019Nuestra experiencia fue excelente. Fuimos a Kona para la participación de mi Esposa en el Campeonato Mundial de Ironman. El departamento estaba limpio, completo y prolijo. Una excelente ubicación. Los primeros dias nos pareció caluroso, pero creo que se debía a la diferencia de temperatura entre nuestro pais y la Isla. Al pasar unos dias y aclimatarnos, ya nos pareció fresco, especialmente por la noche. Adrienne me facilitó toda la info por mail. A mi llegada, no había recibido dicha info por la desconexión de mi teléfono en los vuelos, llamé a Adrienne y ella se acercó a proporcionarla en persona. No tuvimos absolutamente ningún inconveniente. Adrienne me había ofrecido también algunas excursiones, pero no pudimos tomarlas por disponer de poco tiempo. El metodo de acceso con cerradura electrónica con clave me parece muy cómodo, ya lo habíamos experimentado en otro departamente que alquilamos en Canadá. Recomiendo firmemente a Adrienne y su excelente alojamiento.
Jun 27, 2019Adrienne was great with communication before and during our stay here. The place is very quaint and perfect for a few days stay on the west side of the island. We can tell she put a lot of thought and hard work decorating the place. The place as a whole is well stocked with everything you'll need for your stay there. We were a group of three for one night, then I left to head home while my two friends stayed for an extra two nights. With the sofa bed pulled out and our luggage laid out, it felt cramped for three people. Once I left, my friends told me the place felt much more spacious and comfortable. Adrienne also offers manta ray night snorkeling tours that includes pictures and day time snorkeling excursions. We took her up on the manta ray tour and had a great time with her! I would do research before to see if booking a tour with an outside company or going on your own may be better fit. We were short on time so what she offered us worked best for us.

Jun 27, 2019The apartment is well appointed, clean, accessible and in a very charming and well kept complex of apartments. The listing shows two beds when actually there is one bed and a pull-out sofa bed. It worked but a bit disappointing. The apartment includes kitchen ware, cook ware, serving ware and linens sufficient to fully run a small household and the wi-fi is appreciated. The TV set is for videos only, no cable TV. Andrienne is a very attentive hostess attending to all of our needs, frequently checking in and responding to any calls or inquiries we had. We were there for only one night and our day before and day after were already scheduled so a lot of the advantages of being close to the beach, the other resort hotels and the main tourist street of Kona was a little lost on us, but we were grateful to have a comfortable place for the one night we were there.

Jun 27, 2019This apartment was excellent, had everything you’d want in a place to stay: clean, quiet, and an overall good value. It was very comfortably sized for 2 people, I’d imagine it’s a bit tight with 4 guests (at least adults, I’d imagine 2 children on the pullout couch is easily done).The shower took a minute or two to heat up, but there was plenty of hot water once it did, and you’ll really appreciate that on the Big Island (not every place has such ample hot water in our experience). The apartment complex felt safe and was quiet, especially considering it’s close to a busy street (really, noise is not a concern here despite being close enough to all the action of Kona). There’s plenty of access to groceries within a walk or short drive, just a few minutes on a highway to a Target, local grocery store is a 2 minute walk. The ease of access to the beach and attractions of Kona are probably understated in the listing. The host was very kind and went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable, going above and beyond to make recommendations of things to do in town and how to find some of the local gems we’d only read about. 10/10 would book again!

I never got to meet Adrienne but hopefully on my next visit we can meet. The apartment is excellent. It had everything you need. Very clean and the grounds were very nice She provided ample fans to keep the place cool so not having an air conditioner was not a big deal. GREAT location! Close to everything including the airport, Costco and Walmart for those who want to buy some food etc. You can walk to Ali'i Drive and Kona Brewing Co ( amazing food and beer at the brewery). Even my boyfriend said it felt like home. I recommded Adrienne 100% and would stay there again.

It was a really nice service to get picked up at the airport since we came in late at night. A really cute place with nice Hawaii themed decor, great kitchen amenities and lots of room for storage. Jun 27, 2019The apartment was clean, easy to find and comfortable to stay at. It's in a good location, not far away from the beach and the center of kona. There is also a kta store nearby. We really enjoyed sitting on the balcony (especially the bench), drinking coffee or reading a good book. There was a reserved parking lot for the apartment and a laundry station by the pool. One minor issue: Sometimes it could be a little bit noisy in the morning with the windows opened, but it was not too bad. We would definitely recommend staying at Adriennes apartment and we'd love to come back!

The apartment itself is in a complex with many other units and is tidy if a bit devoid of personal touches. However for what we were looking for it was a great fit.

There is a coin operated laundry on premise and ABC store close by which is very convenient. Kitchen is stocked for very basic cooking. We had a great time here and would stay here again.

Jun 27, 2019Adrienne's AirBNB was located a quick walk from the Touristy area but is in a more residential part of town. The building exterior is fairly modest, and we did see a couple of people dumpster diving in the parking lot. However, the interior itself was exactly as described, and had everything we needed. It's clean, comfortable and conveniently located. Close to the touristy area, some restaurants, and the Kona Brewing Company. Adrienne was easy to work with and communicative, and flexible about checkin and check out time. It's good value for money and we would definitely stay here again if we're ever in Kona.
Jun 27, 2019We really enjoyed staying at Adrienne's place. We were centrally located in Kailua and had plenty to see and do there. The pool is relaxing, the smell of hops wafts through the window from the local brewery, and you can see the cruise ships coming in and out of the harbor. The walk to the beach is easy and short....but coming home is uphill so beware if you aren't in good shape. You may want to take a cab home...especially after a couple of Mai Tais!! All kidding aside, Adrienne answered calls quickly and her place is bright and sweet! The bed is VERY comfortable. I would stay there again.

Jun 27, 2019The location of Adrienne's place really can't be beat. Just a block and a half up off the pier. I woke up early every morning and went for a long swim. There's a rack by the beach where all the swimmers leave their sneakers and shirts, etc. when they swim and I took full advantage of it. The condo was clean and the little porch was a great place to hang out at night. And the cool breezes coming off the water at night and into the bedroom helped me sleep very soundly. I will definitely rent this place again, should it become available.

Ideal location for exploring the Kona coast- short drive to harbor, airport, and other kona sights. Excellent thai food restaurant within a 5 minute walk. Also easy access to grocery and other restaurants. Would happily recommend this apartment to anyone considering a trip to Kona--- more comfortable and far better value than any of the resorts in the area.

Jun 27, 2019Stayed for 9 days with my mom. The location is spot on. Very close to the beach with beautiful sunset views. 3-5 minute walk to Marriot, restaurants and 4th of July parade and fireworks. The condo is airy, clean and very cozy. Adrienne is very responsive and accommodating. Well worth the visit.

We like the place because it is clean and comfortable, has no refrigeration - the fans and open windows keep place comfortable and we are in Hawaii for the warmth! We enjoy hearing the birds in the morning. You can see the water from the lanai - nice place to sit back and enjoy a cold drink at the end of the day. We like the location because it is quiet and we can walk downtown or to other restaurants, grocery stores... It is a little uphill from downtown but if you like to walk it shouldn't be a problem. You don't have to worry about parking. Easy access to main road to drive to other beaches along the coast. We walked down to the pier for the Body Glove Sunset Dinner Cruise which was a nice time. Adrienne responded in a timely manner with any questions that we had.

Jun 27, 2019Lovely little apartment - as described. Lack of air con not a problem except in the bedroom where there is less air flow than in the living room. Lanai was amazing, especially with the fan and porch light. Few bugs but easily managed, and I think it's just virtue of the island as we saw lots more outside the apartment, particularly in our hire car which was unfortunately infested with cockroaches, so a watch out for anyone collecting cars from kona airport! Adrienne was amazingly helpful, we had a maintenance issue during the stay and she sorted it within 24 hours! Kona itself was ok, mostly hotels and shops but the island itself had lots to offer.
Jun 27, 2019Adrienne's place was great & super clean. My husband & I really enjoyed our stay in Kona at her condo. Lovely decorations & everything I needed was available.... when it gets super hot- the heat was slightly uncomfortable & unexpected- even with all the fans on. Location: I didn't realized condo was uphill from downtown area- so I really disliked walking up the 2 blocks incline daily (we decided to not get a car rental for our stay this time). It's not wheelchair accessible or suitable for people w medical issues & have a hard time walking.

Jun 27, 2019Great location to walk to the beach and restaurants. The porch swing seat is very nice. The only issue would be that the afternoons heat up in the condo and the air circulation isn't really enough to make it comfortable. Air conditioning or even a swamp cooler would help a lot.

Jun 27, 2019The location is perfect for visitors. Easy to find central location. We walked up to the coffee and tea shop next door each morning and we walked down town for dinner a couple of times. Of course we toured the island, volcanos, water falls, beaches, etc. Your reference books about Hawai’i were quite helpful. We enjoyed sitting in the lanai with the cool breeze. Everything was as stated. Very nice.

Jun 27, 2019The only thing I was extremely disappointed in was the communication from the host. It was difficult, if not impossible to reach the host and when we finally did it took over 24 hours for a subsequent response. Otherwise it’s in a good spot, although a car is needed to get most places.

Jun 27, 2019Nice home but could be upgraded. No air condition, couple of fans. Very small television. No microwave or oven. Bed in room seemed a bit smaller than a queen size bed so we slept on the pull out sofa which is right under a ceiling fan in the living room and actually feels like a queen size bed. Don't pack heavy because the apartment is up a few flights of stairs, no elevator, no ramp to get to apartment. Parking convenient. Shower was nice and hot. Apartment in the middle of everything. Food and gas station walking distance away from apartment.

Up the hill, another short walk is a supermarket, restaurants etc. The condo is excellent for a couple, maybe a bit small for an extended stay for 4. The screened-in porch is a plus. The only downside is with open windows, it can be a bit noisy sometimes, but that was not an issue for us.

Jun 27, 2019We really enjoyed our stay here! It was a great location for exploring around Kona and walking distance to a lot of restaurants. It’s also really close to a small grocery store in case you need to pick something up or rent a Redbox movie. Just a note in case you missed it, there is no microwave but a pretty fully equipped kitchen otherwise. The screened-in lanai is really nice with a small table and swing. There are a few stray cats around so don’t be surprised if you come across one when it’s starting to get dark out.

The apartment is very clean and attractively decorated in what we would call "Hawaii style", and the screened porch a delightful area to sit in and relax. Very detailed instructions on how to find the car space and apartment were provided and this was greatly appreciated.
Jun 27, 2019We enjoyed our stay. It was in a residential area and although the units are fairly close to each other, it was very comfortable. We didn’t cook much but did stay in to watch a movie a couple times. Very close to town and walking distance from the beach. It is as advertised. Would stay here again.

Adrienne and Christopher provided timely and accurate instructions on check-in, check-out, etc. Their place was very clean and cute and I'd definitely recommend staying there especially if you'd like to be within walking distance to Ali'i Drive on the Big Island!

Jun 27, 2019Es ist ein wirklich schönes und gut ausgestattetes Apartment in guter und ruhiger Lage am Ortsanfang. Es gibt viele Einksufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants in unmittelbarer Nähe. Ort als guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge auf der Insel geeignet, 15 Minuren zum Flughafen Kona, 15-20 Minuten zum Strand...dort kann man mit Schildkröten schnorcheln.

Jun 27, 2019This condo is in a great location and very clean- exactly what we were looking for. Both large chain stores and small local businesses surround you- easy to walk to or to drive. Convenient parking right outside the building. It’s super quiet too- we slept really well here. There is no AC, but so many fans in every room, so we felt like air was constantly moving in the apartment.

There is no oven or microwave in the kitchen, but they do have a mini toaster oven available and gas stove top that was perfect for our cooking needs. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at our "home away from home" while visiting Kona. Thanks Adrienne and Christopher!

The only down fall is that there is no air conditioning, but they have a handful of fans to help make it tolerable. Very clean and nice decorations. The swing on the porch was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend.

Jun 27, 2019Was able to snag this place for one night very last minute, and I couldn't have been happier. Affordable, perfect location for our purposes. Two friends and myself were looking to find a place to crash in Kona for a little nightlife since we had been staying in Waikoloa. Check in and out was a breeze and the complex was nice and quiet and off the bay enough so tourists weren't everywhere. Would definitely seek this out again next time I'm on the big island.

Jun 27, 2019Spent a week in this lovely apartment and didn't want to leave! It was beautifully clean and a lovely size of a space, especially with the Lanai. The kitchen was great, with coffee and condiments provided, and full ice-cube trays in the freezer. The shower was excellent, water was always warm and shampoo and shower gel etc. were provided. The bed was so comfortable it was hard to get out of! It is a 5 minute walk to the Kona seafront and many bars/restaurants. It's honestly hard to find anything negative to say about this place, we loved it. The only miniscule thing I would say is be careful of dropping anything thin down the gap at the left-hand side of the bathroom counter as I dropped my eyeliner pencil down there and there was no way to get it out.
Jun 27, 2019Adrienne and Christopher’s apartment was absolutely perfect for our stay. The location is amazing and the flat is well equipped for all needs. The flat is located right next to a supermarket, multiple fast food outlets, a bank which has an outdoor ATM with 24/7 access and the best part of the location is the short stroll to the prettiest beach I have ever seen (we saw turtles everyday we were in Kona less than 5 mins from the flat). The apartment was really clean, well presented and comfortable. It was bigger than we expected and the couch was super comfy to lounge on after a long day of exploring. Thanks to Adrienne and Christopher’s clear instructions check in was a breeze and the flat was easily located. The hosts were accommodating and allowed us to check in a couple of hours earlier when we arrived earlier than expected. We found the bed super comfy and sleeping easy with the fan running. The wifi was super fast too! Adrienne and Christopher were great hosts and would re book the apartment in a heart beat. Jun 27, 2019The condo seemed to be good value for the location. It was easy to walk down to the beach and restaurants, etc. We were also close to other amenities nearby, so we didn't rent a car during our stay. We saved money by using Lyft to access beaches that were further than we wanted to walk and also to get to/from the airport. The pool was nice, we enjoyed it a couple of days while there. These condos are older and showing signs of wear--this one had sagging ceiling plaster and a couple of places where it had broken through. We had issues with cockroaches while we were there and killed many that were 4-5" plus several small ones. They had notices up about spraying the day after we left, so seems to be a problem for the whole complex.

Jun 27, 2019This was a nice, well equipped apartment in a great location. However, it had a definite insect issue. Maybe that's part for the course in the tropics, but we didn't like seeing cockroaches in the kitchen and palmetto bugs (or something like that) in other parts of the apartment.

The location is very convenient that closed to downtown Kona. From there we can go to most beautiful beaches easily. Would love to visit and stay again next time.

Jun 27, 2019Place is exactly as described, close to town and to the little beach . Bedroom is warm in summer without AC. Bed is comfy. Living room is well ventilated and cooler. Lanai is very pleasant. However, There is a serious roaches issue coming from the kitchen sink and they are all around the kitchen. I think it is a building issue. As a result I did not use the kitchen except the fridge but I was not planning to cook too much anyway.

Jun 27, 2019This place was in a good location and a nice setup. The kitchen isn't as fully equipped as we had hoped. There is no microwave or coffee maker. I send a message to the host about the coffee maker, and unfortunately did not get a response. We wound up going out and buying a coffee maker and left it in the apartment for future guests to use (as we flew back home from this stay and could take it wit us). The more disappointing aspect was the lack of communication from the hosts. Other than that the stay was everything we needed.

Jun 27, 2019Nous avons occupé cet appartement pour l'IRONMAN HAWAII -- Les prix sont doublés est c'est du vol. L'appartement est sur PALANI ROAD donc extrêmement bien situé pour le triathlon mais cela ne justifie pas le prix. Il existe d'autres appartements à environ 1.5 km du site qui pratiquent des prix normaux lors de la course. L'appartement est mal isolé et l'endroit bruyant. Une entreprise de camions est située juste à côté et à partir de 04h30 du matin, on entend les "bip-bip" d'alarme de recul des camions, et ce de façon presque continue. En gros, on ne dort pas, déjà que le décalage est dur à encaisser et qu'il n'y a pas de possibilité de faire le noir complet dans la chambre, pas top pour préparer l'IRONMAN. Pour le reste, il y a deux supermarchés à proximité et le village + le pier sont à 5 mn à pied.
Jun 27, 2019Their place is very basic. It is true to description, so this review is less. Criticism of the place than it is a note about choices while on vacation. The apartment does not feel exciting. I stayed in some nice places on Kauai that I felt were a great value. Having spent a bit more on Kauai, I opted for a less expensive place in kona, but I regret it bc this place detracted from the “island feel”. It was too practical and real world and pulled me out of my Hawaiian dream I’d been riding for a week. Next time I’ll spend a bit more - bc it’s vacation!

Jun 27, 2019This apartment is super well located and very well equipped. However the ceiling fans are not enough to cool it down in the heat of the day. If you return for lunch in the early afternoon and want to cool down you will find it is hotter inside than out. The only way to get cool is to use the pool and the lounges next to the pool. An air conditioner would make the apartment perfect.

After a long day of hiking and sightseeing, it was so nice to take a quick shower and then be just a five minute walk from a slew of restaurants and shops along the ocean front. Great for grabbing breakfast on the way out too. We could see the ocean from our screened in porch too! This place was the perfect size for a couple. Had everything we needed and was such a great location central between the north and south ends of the island. We went to the north tip one day and the south tip the next. Bed was sooooo comfortable. Shower was clean and high pressure. Lots of shelves for your things and a closet with hangers. No AC but with the fans we were more than comfortable! Owner gave great directions to get here and had a guide book for us to use while here. Beach towels available. Lots of extra blanket and pillow for the apartment.

Jun 27, 2019I really enjoyed staying here. The location is great. Very easy walk to the water and to all shops and attractions in Kona. Easy parking and easy to get into after I got into the airport late at night. It is less than 10 minutes from Kona airport. I left an item there and the host was super helpful getting it returned to me. I highly recommend this place if you want to be in the heart of Kona.

Jun 27, 2019This location is a 5 minute walk to tourist stores and ocean views. Also, a 5 minute walk to KTA supermarket for groceries and a coffee shop. Its such a convenience location because it is a 5 minute walk to restaurants and even across the street from gyms if you want to work out during vacation (or you can run along the ocean). I liked this place because it had a full kitchen with microwave, toaster oven, fridge and all utensils and bowls. I like that their knives weren't as terrible as other places I been to where it was difficult to cook with. They have a shared coin operated washer and dryer in the complex that was cheap too. My only critics is this place isn't in the best shape and a few repairs could be made to make it better but as a visitor I wasn't bothered by it. Also, this place needs a better TV. The TV is small and reacts really slow. There isn't any AC but the fans are pretty good at cooling the rooms.
