As often as they need me. I love the fact that the house is so close to everything like shops, grocery stores, Ala Moana Center, Waikiki, beaches, highway, downtown. Public transportation is available, and uber is very inexpensive to any of the places listed above. Yes. It's better to rent a car if willing to explore the island. No shoe

Notes
No shoes in the house. Turn off A/C once ready to leave the apartment. Turn off the outside light before going to bed or leaving the apartment. Please don’t take anything from the laundry room before asking. We don’t provide paper towels and toilet paper during the entire stay. We leave two rolls of toilet paper and one roll of paper towel upon your arrival. Thank you.

Rules
No shoes in the apartment. Throw away all the trash before the check-out. Trash container for regular trash is gray and it’s located next to the garage. Glass, bottles and cans go in the blue container which is next to the gray one. Please don’t move things around in the apartment like furniture and decoration. Thank you.

Even though we were thousands of miles away from home, Tanja and Vlady's hospitality and friendless made me feel right at home. When we got there, we were greeted with cold brews and friendly smiles. They even added amenities during our stay based off our suggestions. To top it off, fresh fruit, bake goods, and meals were offered pretty much every day to us. Simply put, both our stay and them as people were enough to make me want to return to Hawaii and stay with them again. Highly recommend!

Jun 27, 2019Tanja was a great host. She met us when we arrived, even though it was super late when our flight came in. She even gave us fruit, wine, snacks, water and soda during our stay. The apartment is in her basement and you can hear noises from upstairs where her and her family live but if you spend most of the day site seeing and spending time exploring the island, it may not bother you. The apartment is very clean and as pictured on the site. The location is ideal to Honolulu without being directly in all the hustle and bustle. We had rented two cars and she allowed us to park both underneath her garage port even though I'm pretty sure it kept her and her family from parking there during our stay. We were comfortable there and this is a great place to stay while in Honolulu!
Jun 27, 2019This place was better than I expected. It's a very spacious 2 bedroom basement apartment with living area kitchen and bathroom. The hosts (Tanja and his family) are extremely kind and courteous. The apartment is very centric. It is about 9 minutes drive from Waikiki beach. This place is highly recommended.

Jun 27, 2019Excellent neighborhood...close to everything. The hosts were very kind and welcoming. They even brought us a homemade dessert one night. The walk-out basement apartment was quiet, clean, spacious and very bright and cheery. All the amenities you could ever need. We couldn't have happier.

Jun 27, 2019The flat was clean, fresh and cosy and provided a good base for three of us. Tanja and Valdi were great hosts and were extremely kind in assisting us with a number of questions during our stay. Although the flat is within walking distance of downtown Honolulu, the heat and hill back to the flat means that a car really does make life easier although we managed with Uber. A wonderful holiday / vacation. Mahalo to Tanja and Valdi.

Loved that it was a few miles away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki, since we wanted to avoid that area mostly. It was well stocked with linens and kitchen supplies. Our hosts even had some cold beers, waters & other snacks upon our arrival. Thanks for hosting us!
Jun 27, 2019Tanja was such an amazing host. Her place was everything my family and I needed and more. We also was able to use one of their parking space in the garage which was helpful because we would get back to the place later at night and parking on the street was all taken. We had our 4 year old with us and Tanja was sweet enough to let her play with some of her daughter's toys. On our last night, my daughter also got to play with her kids upstairs which made my heart so warm because my daughter has been away from her friends and family for a week. Tanja also made us a delicious home cooked meal which I was so sad about not finishing because we had just got done eating dinner. I would highly recommend having Tanja as a host. She is just the sweetest and so accommodating!

Jun 27, 2019Tanja and her entire family were the sweetest people we have ever met! They were very welcoming and so happy! The day we arrived, they were celebrating Serbian Christmas and they invited us all up to hang out and have fun. They fed us some delicious food and amazing drinks, and it was the birthday of one of the guys in our group and they surprised him with a little birthday treat and candle and everyone sang...this was all within a few hours of first meeting them. The space downstairs was so cute and perfect for us. Everything was very clean and well put together and we loved everything about it! We will definitely be staying here again next time we're on the island.

Jun 27, 2019Location: Residential area. We had a rental car (they had a garage parking spot saved for us, which was really great), but a rental would make commute around Honolulu a lot easier from here. We liked staying away from the crowds of waikiki hotels, so this was perfect for that. Space: This was a good amount of space (2 adults, 2 teenagers and we didn't feel cramped), separate entrance from main house, nice living area w comfortable couch, big screen LCD w cable, good connection and wifi speed. Kitchen well stocked w amenities, utensils, and has coffee/creamer/pasta/cooking oil etc. Air conditioning and all compliances worked well. Washer/dryer that was not coin operated! The entire space was very clean and located downstairs to the main house. There were many extra towels, beach towels, extra bedding, extra toiletries in the bathrooms etc. Everything was there to make our trip comfortable. Beds were comfortable and the ceiling fans kept temperature at night comfortable. Surrounding area: There are several cats and kittens wondering around, they were actually cute and didn't bother us. There are also chickens/roosters in neighboring yards (which do crow in the morning), so it may take a day or two to get used to them. Hosts: They are quite wonderful. Not intrusive but they did check in to make sure we had everything we needed. They gave us desserts one night some of which was handmade!

Jun 27, 2019Our stay at Tanja's was wonderful! She is a gracious, kind, considerate hostess. My fiancé and I throughly enjoyed visiting with her and her husband over a bottle of wine. We brought our parents and our foster children children along on this vacay and Tanja gladly accommodated all of us!! If your looking for a quite, peaceful get a way this is definitely the location to book!! We will be returning and will book with her again. ❤

Jun 27, 2019Tanja's place is very nice, cute, clean, and well appointed. Tanja went above and beyond, providing fruit, muffins, and even wine - all of my mom's favorite things. When I couldn't join my 85 year old mom as planned, Tanja made sure my mom was comfortable. We had a terminally ill relative who lived nearby, and Tanja was so sensitive and accommodating towards my mom and family. This place is located toward the front of the Punch Bowl Crater - a perfect and easily accessible central location in Honolulu. I highly recommend it!

Jun 27, 2019Tanja's place was nothing much to ask more. The house was so close to downtown and the highway, and was spacious for 4 adults and very clean. The kitchen stuff, bathroom towel, A/C and ceiling fan etc. the most thing what we needed were there. We stayed comfortably for 2 weeks. I strongly recommend Tanja's house.

Jun 27, 2019We had a lovely experience: The unit was very clean and nicely decorated, the owners were friendly, it had garage parking, plus DirecTV (with premium channels and DVR). When we arrived there was a bottle of wine and some treats. And it was surprisingly quiet, too. (Granted, there's currently a rooster crowing its feathery heart out early most mornings, but we turned on the AC and it was fine.) We'd definitely consider staying there again!

Jun 27, 2019Tanja’s place was nicely decorated and clean. It is a basement apartment in her house, with parking available in the house garage. Laundry facilities are outside and shared with the main house. There is an A/C in the living room, but not in the bedrooms (and no ceiling fans) — we found the rooms to be a bit stuffy at times. Good location, very central to exploring Honolulu. We had a lot of luggage so we found the space to be somewhat cramped for 4 adults, as the decorations in the apartment don’t allow for a lot of storage space/functionality. Would be a good choice, however, for those traveling lightly.

The beds were comfortable, the fully equipped kitchen made cooking a breeze, the shower has good pressure, and the hospitality was unparalleled! The private parking space was ideal and the laundry facilities were very convenient! Mom and I hope to return one day!!

Jun 27, 2019Tanja has set an example for other Airbnb hosts should run their premises. Her airbnb provides a welcoming and just-feel-like-home experience that hotels cannot offer. This is truly my best Airbnb experience. Beside providing clean towels and laundry supplies, Tanja’s airbnb also provides coffee and snacks and she was very helpful giving us tips for where to eat and explore. I will totally recommend Tanja’s place.

Jun 27, 2019This is a very classy place. Very clean, well decorated, safe neighborhood with jungle In the back with tons of birds. So it did not feel like we were in the middle of the city. The kitchen was well equipped. We made most of our meals there and mostly had what we needed for that. Loved the laundry facilities and garage parking. It was a very comfortable pleasant stay. Will go there again.

Jun 27, 2019We have been to Hawaii many times but this was our first time using an Airbnb. Our expectations were blown out of the water! Tanja was amazing! Such an awesome location. Convenient to Waikiki and to the highway! We brought our daughter’s and she provided toys and beach equipment. We saw Tanja a few times and she was always so friendly! The apartment is awesome and such a great price. Two bedrooms, kitchen and living room with a dining table. It conformtably slept 3 adults and two children :)
Jun 27, 2019Tanja ist eine wunderbare Gastgeberin. Das Willkommen und ankommen war fantastisch. Wir hatten gleich das Gefühl ein Teil der Familie zu sein. So viel Herzlichkeit und das auf der anderen Seite der Welt . Tanja selbst war immer für uns da wenn wir Fragen hatten und hat uns auch tolle Tips und Ratschläge gegeben. Die Wohnung ist wunderschön und durchdacht und mehr als vollständig eingerichtet. Selbst eine kleine Grundausstattung an Lebensmitteln war vorhanden . Ganz zu schweigen von der Einrichtung. Tanja hat sich hier viel Mühe gemacht und man findet immer wieder kleine Details die einfach schön sind und dadurch ein „heimeliges“ Gefühl vermitteln. Schlicht gesagtes hat es uns an nichts gefehlt und wir würden jederzeit gerne wieder kommen.

Jun 27, 2019Tanja and Robert has done great job at maintaining this place and made sure everyone’s comfortable. House was fully equipped with essentials, washing machine, dryer and such. Our whole family spent a New Year’s Eve here, Tanja and Robert was kind enough to invite us to their little party and met some of their friends, we truly had a blast, highly recommended this place if you’re ever in town :)

The furniture in the living room could be improved by adding more comfortable seating and providing luggage racks. Adding more working drawers for clothing would enhance the space.
