There is a popular smart car rental company called 808 Smart Cars in the building. Hawaiian Style Rentals on Lemon St is great for Moped, Scoot Coupe & Bicycle Rentals. Uber and the Bus Transportation is also great here!

Loved staying here. It's exactly as pictured in the photos - newly renovated and clean. The bed is comfy, wifi works, and showers get steamy hot (love it). I liked the little restaurants downstairs (cream pot and burgers & sushi especially). The neighborhood/building has interesting characters especially at night but it's still safe and I never ran into any trouble. The place has towels and Franny even provided laundry soap! The laundry is on the 5th floor & does take credit card although loads can be more expensive than independent coin places. I would love to stay at a property of Franny's any time.

Jun 27, 2019Our stay was wonderful. Franny was great with communication and check in was a breeze. Parking on site was convenient and the on site restaurant was so cute and the food was delicious. We spent hours at the pool and it was a nice place to just relax and unwind. The room was cozy and had a nice view of the city and ocean. Would definitely stay again!

Jun 27, 2019I absolutely loved Franny's studio apartment, and she was a fantastic host. The location was ideal. My visit was work related, and the studio was perfectly located in walking distance to the Convention Center. I would stay there again in a heart beat!

Her space was meticulously clean and her welcome packet gave us all the information we could possibly need. Even if that were not the case, she made herself incredibly available through many means of communication to resolve any issues. Our stay was comfortable and the view out the windows was simply breathtaking. One note: If you're thinking about renting a car, free parking will be scarce and parking in a garage is not cheap.

Jun 27, 2019Franny's apartment was exactly as shown in the pictures. It was in a great location, not too far from Waikiki beach and had on site parking for when we rented a car. The apartment itself was clean and thank goodness for air con! Instructions to find the room key and room were easy and my partner and I both agree that if we ever visited Hawaii again, we wouldn't hesitate to book this apartment.

The only unfortunate aspect is the cost of parking if you have a rental car. But it's understandable considering the limited amount if parking there appears to be in Honolulu in general. Also Franny provided great recommendations for places to eat! We had a great time on our trip

Located on the heart of Waikiki everything was super close and easy to get to. Frannys communication was fantastic in the lead up and through out our stay. I would definitely recommend staying here and I hope to come and stay again soon. Thank you Franny for a wonderful stay.

Jun 27, 2019Franny was a delight to deal with and so accommodating. We had a lot of trouble finding a place for one night before we flew out the next morning and Franny helped in every way possible. Her flat is in an older building and is small but was perfect for what we needed it for and has beautiful views of the ocean and city. Beautifully decorated and very clean. Our only issue was the noise, the walls are paper thin and we could hear everything! Also causing us not to get much sleep. Overall though this place is great!

Jun 27, 2019Upon walking in the unit, you'll be stunned by the gorgeous beach view up ahead. The room itself had a cozy vibe and to my surprise - i had everything i needed in the unit. It was as pictured and the place itself was clean! Everything was walking distance that taking an uber was almost unnecessary if you wanted to take a stroll around the Waikiki area. The only thing is that parking is 25 for 24 hours and it's cash only, but heck, still a better deal than having to constantly look for street parking and it minimizes the risk for theft and being towed. Overall, i'd pick this place again when i get the chance!

Jun 27, 2019Franny's place is just as it appears in photos. Stunning view, spacious for two people, and includes all the amenities you'd need on a short stay. The location is also super convenient— located within walking distance of the beach, Waikiki, and Ala Moana. It's also on the outskirts of all the tourist traffic, so requesting Uber was easy; there's also a bus stop down the street that goes towards Pearl Harbor/Aloha Stadium. All the major car rentals were also in walking distance. Check-in and check-out was such an easy process and Franny made herself available for questions/concerns. Loved this place and will definitely be back!

Building is not modern, however the room itself seemed refreshing and modern, and all necessary amenities we're provided. Host was easy to contact and gave great pre check in instructions. Parking is $25/day. Walking distance to the happening Waikiki strip for shopping and night life.

Jun 27, 2019Condo is clean and very modern, however, the building itself is in need of considerable updating. Nice view, with most kitchen amenities, beach towels and other modern conveniences. Wifi was patchy, but we managed. A good 20 min walk to the main part of Waikiki beach and most bars and restaurants. Very close to all bus routes and a supermarket. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Jun 27, 2019Dealing with Franny was great. She was quick to respond to any request. We had a pleasant stay at her apartment. The Royal Hawaiian's exterior is in need of some renovations but it is clean and well maintained. The apartment itself feels newly renovated, and it is bright and clean. The mattress was a little soft for my taste. The walls are a bit thin but with the air conditioner unit, you can drown any noise so I was not bothered. Overall, I was comfortable, felt super safe, and enjoyed the amenities and the location. Access to netflix was a nice bonus for those nights that you just want to relax at home. It was only 5 minute walk to the convention center. The walk to the beach was about 10 minutes and you could get to the Waikiki strand in 5-10 minutes.

Tip: If you plan on parking in the garage, be sure to get your room key first or the parking attendants won't let you enter the garage. Gina was very helpful and responsive, checking-in multiple times with us to see if we needed anything.
Jun 27, 2019Gina's description of her place was 100% accurate. When we arrived it was clean, quaint, equipped with everything mentioned and the view was so much more amazing in person. We loved the location to the city life and beaches in Waikiki. It was in walkable distance to many restaurants. The only bummer was that we had to pay 25$ a night to park which she mentions so we already knew that was a thing, we just were hoping to find free parking near where we were staying. Parking was not so easy or cheap, but small price to pay for convenience. We would definitely book with Gina again and would love to come back to Hawaii.

Jun 27, 2019If you wanna be in the center of it all – this is the perfect appartment for you in Waikiki. It's close to the shopping malls as well as to the beach and the restaurants at night. Located in a safe and quiet area you'll have a wonderful view over Waikiki all day and night. As it's pretty hot outside the aircon was a relief and helped sleeping at night. In the appatment itself you'll find everything you need in thoughtful details. It was clean and easy to access although I was arriving very late. And Gina is the perfect host for you – easy to communicate with and responds very quickly. So I will come and visit again.

Jun 27, 2019Nice apartment and looks like the photos. It’s walking distance to a number of restaurants and close to the beach. The building itself is quite outdated, but does offer some nice amenities like a gym, pool, and food options. We tried storing our bags with the desk upon departure, but the woman told us it would be $10 per bag/luggage and not a flat fee like the check in notes indicated. Instead we walked over to the Double Tree a few blocks away and they let us store our bags for free (we tipped them). Overall it was a good stay.

Jun 27, 2019Overall, my wife and I had a good stay at this budget accommodation in Waikiki in November of 2017. The following is a synopsis of our stay: Location: Exceptional access to Waikiki as a whole. 15 minute walk to pretty much any restaurant. 10-15 minute walk to the beach. Building: As with many buildings in Waikiki, this condo building/hotel is definitely showing it’s age. It was, however, very safe and the security staff there were helpful with a key card issue and baggage storage. The unit itself was much nicer than the building. Unit: Much more recent renovation than the condo building itself. Essentially a hotel room with a small kitchenette and surprisingly good view of the ocean. Very functional space with AC, cable TV, coffee maker, mini-fridge and induction cook top/hot plate. Bathroom was small but functional. My one criticism was that cleanliness could be improved upon. The floors were a little sticky and the kitchen could have used another wipe down. No issues with bathroom/shower cleanliness. Parking: $25/24 hours-yikes! It turns out the most lucrative business venture out there is operating a parking garage in Waikiki. We were able to find daily street parking it just took a little bit of work. Gina: Possibly the most responsive AirBnB owner/manager out there. Nothing but good things to say. On the whole, this is a good option for the budget traveller wanting to stay in Waikiki.

Jun 27, 2019Gina's place has an amazing location near to Waikiki main area. The studio was neat and tidy and well looked after. There was also use of a gym for a small fee, pool and hot tub. The Waikiki brewing company is located only couple steps away from the the studio. Parking is avaialble on site however, costs 25/day which adds up if you plan on using a car during your stay in Hawaii. My partner and I we have enjoyed the modern studio and the location.

The bed is comfortable, there’s a nicely appointed kitchenette, so overall it’s a great value. The building itself is on the older side but this studio unit is completely newly renovated... it has a nice view too! Would definitely stay again :)

Jun 27, 2019This is a condo kind of an old hotel same getting in process we were very close to the beach and the view was amazing Gina was great communicating and she even gave us some tips for that night the only thing that I have to say is that the listing Is that a shampoo and conditioner and some other amenities the listing said they provided Were not there. I ended up using my friends soap and shampoo. They had a huge bottle of hand soap that was mostly water and no shampoo. It was great having a coffee maker. However they didn’t have any sugar so we took it dark. Other than that everything was perfect

The TV signal kept glitching but Gina was very accommodating and helpful with trying to solve this. The issue was with the building WiFi itself so it was out of her control. The location is 10-15 mins walk to the main strip in Waikiki. Everything was clean and had most of the amenities needed.

Jun 27, 2019Great location with restaurants and coffee shop downstairs (Burgers and Sushi is outstanding!) and small dance club downstairs as well. Rental car and activity desk also very convenient. Renting a SMART car proved to be very useful getting around Waikiki. On site luggage storage was very useful until I could check into the room. Shower stall is a little cramped and bed a little squeaky. Otherwise a great value for a place to stay close to heart of Waikiki!

Jun 27, 2019Gina's place is modern, good sized space with lovely views of the ocean and beach. Just a few things of note though, check in was very easy with the instructions provided but the front desk (nothing to do with Gina) were very rude when we tried to check our bags for storage. The building itself is a hotel and apartments for tourists but also residential. I must advise that several of the residents that stayed in the building appeared highly intoxicated (all times of day), smelling of marijuana and loud. This was undesirable and they hang around outside the building. I appreciate this is not to the fault of the host, but it is not ideal when you a paying and on holiday - especially if you have children. The road noise can be heard from the apartment but did not bother us. Finally, I was slightly disappointed in the cleanliness of the apartment. The bathroom especially. There was a lot of sand in the bath and the shower head covered in limescale. It was a shame to have these things impact our stay, as the apartment itself is well situated and has everything you need and is walking distance from beach or shops.
Jun 27, 2019Gina's place was nice. Very close to the conference center, restaurants, and the beach (all within 10 minute walk.) The only negatives i would say are: should include more towels. Having 3 towels for two people for 6 days was not enough, especially because the towels would take more than a day to dry. There was also no body wash or soap for the shower.
Jun 27, 2019My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Gina’s place. The place is small but it was perfect for what we needed. The bath is also very small and tight, a little uncomfortable especially for my tall husband. The shower curtain kept getting stuck to my body which was a bit annoying. But the place is decorated beautifully with a beautiful view. Another thing that would have been nice is if we would have had more towels. We only had two bath towels, one hand/face towel, two wash cloths, and one beach towel for two people. Otherwise, the place is at a great location close to restaurants and shops. We did not rent a car we walked everywhere. And took shuttle bus for different tours and excursions. Overall, our stay was great!
Jun 27, 2019If you plan on spending time in Waikiki to do some shopping or outdoor activities this is the place to stay. You can find all the stores you want down the street or even grab a bite to eat. If you want to go out to do some exploring the bus stops right across from Gina’s place and takes you to all the stops. I never had a issue and the front desk people were great! Nice place fit for two :) and the view was a plus!
Jun 27, 2019It was doable, my wife and I enjoyed the actual studio apartment but the building as a whole and immediate surrounding was a bit sketchy. About 20-25 min walk to the main part of Waikiki beach. We rented a convertible smart car for a day and it was $70 for 24hrs. But they close at 5pm and it costs $15 more to return it after that. Otherwise you need to park overnight for $10.
Jun 27, 2019Overall, the place is a good value and about 15 min walk to the heart of Waikiki. The condo is stylish, cute decor, and nice finishes like granite countertops and new cabinets. It has a great view, including ocean view to the side. The building is a bit older, but has pool, hot tub, and bbq grill. Downstairs also has food options and car rental. However, it is a bit small for two people. We also could have used more toilet paper and towels for a 5 night stay. TV reception was not good but we were able to stream Netflix. It was also hard to walk barefoot as floors could use a deep scrub. Closet height was also short and would not fit full length dress. Windows are a little low and did not lock.
Jun 27, 2019This Airbnb is part of the old Monarch Hotel, which went bankrupt and sold off units as condos a few years back. This definitely colors the experience here. TL;dr is that the room itself was acceptable, with a great view and solid A/C, albeit wildly overpriced, there were definitely some things that made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. The first problem was the 4pm check-in. Our flight got in at 10am, putting us at the hotel around 11am. Despite reaching out almost a full week in advance, Gina denied us the opportunity to check in even a MINUTE early, and instead suggested we book the night before if we wanted to check in early, because the cleaning needed to be completed. This was a bit silly as if the unit was available the night before our stay, I can’t imagine that cleaning it that day was necessary. This just showed that the host isn’t that concerned for her guest’s travel experience and is looking to nickel and dime wherever she can. We walked around a bit, then hung out in the lobby bar while we waited. There is NO LOBBY at the building and the luggage storage ($10 per bag) is not locked or watched by the hotel front desk. Your stuff is not safe in there and there is no where comfortable to wait for your ridiculously late check-in. I literally went to the box at 3:59pm and our key still wasn’t in the box. Host showed up at 4:05pm with the keys. It also didn’t work the we got to the room, so had to go downstairs and wait in line for security to check our IDs and fix the keys. This all adds up for a NEGATIVE GUEST EXPERIENCE AND A CRAPPY START to a vacation. A couple other things people should know about this place: - The walls are paper thin. You will hear everything your neighbors do and say. - The water shuts off once a month for half a day. We were not informed of this when booking and plan to request a partial refund for that day. - The wi-fi doesn’t work, like at all. We were told to “turn the router off and back on” and it made zero difference. - The cable doesn’t work. TV constantly flickers and makes shuddering noises. - Host charges an $80 cleaning fee and does the cleaning herself. When I met her when she finally dropped the non-working keys off at 4:05pm, she mentioned that she cleans the rooms herself. So essentially, the $80 cleaning fee is a ridiculous tack on expense and you should figure it into the cost of the room, as its not like she is paying a service to clean for her. Ludicrous, greedy and shady. - Host has a long list of things she will charge you for if you fail to do (taking out trash, getting stains on towels, etc.) Just makes you feel more and more unwelcome. - The...

Jul 27, 2019Had a great stay at Gina' s appartment, perfect stay for two people who spent all day at the beach. 15 minute walk to Waikiki beach and all the main shops, restaurants and bus stops. Very clean appartment, great view, great outdoor pool area on level 6. Highly recommend and communication with Gina was great. We even got to check-in an hour earlier as the room was ready. We arrived at 7am into Honolulu, left our bags in the security room in the lower lobby for $10 which was great as we could go shopping and the beach without our bags. Would stay again

Jun 27, 2019Great location and great view! It was significantly smaller than the pictures make it seem though. Very updated and modern touches. She has a lot of brochures for nearby activities and there’s even a kiosk downstairs to help you if needed. The only thing I would recommend is bringing or buying your own hand and dish soap because most of the soaps were refilled with water. But overall a great stay and I would love to come back!

Jun 27, 2019A great simple apartment that is so close to the main Waikiki strip. We walked for about 20 mins to this strip. You could catch a bus also. Gina is very helpful and the directions are spot on. We will recommend this apartment.

Jun 27, 2019Great location, lovely day time and night time view. The room is definitely spacious enough for two—though the bathroom is a little small, especially the shower if you're tall. Be sure to keep the curtains closed during the day as the room gets very hot since the sun pours in all day. Even with the curtains closed, chocolates that we purchased early on in the trip and some cosmetics melted in the heat (in December nonetheless). If you are sensitive to noise, be warned that the a/c unit is quite loud and that there is a strange screeching sound that can be heard from the elevator or parking lot. All that being said, overall value was good being that the room is located conveniently and the process with Gina was very easy.

Jun 27, 2019Gina’s place is a great value and a great location. The smart car rental downstairs was so much more convenient and a far better price than a typical rental. Gina’s tips on food available at the condo were spot on, the pizza, and everything we had at Maleko cafe downstairs was delicious, including some of the best coffee! The memory foam bed was very comfortable and we had everything we needed for a great stay. I would definitely stay at Gina’s when in Waikiki again.
Jun 27, 2019The pool is lovely though on the roof of the lower level building on the 4th floor not the actual roof of the condo building. No ocean view from the pool. For those traveling with kids, beware there is no protection around the huge window of the condo up on the 22nd floor, no screen and it’s kind of low! Coffee maker is a Keurig. Parking garage charges $25/day. I would happily stay at Gina’s place again as it’s in a fabulous location and quite charming. Excellent deal and stellar view!!

Jun 27, 2019My partner and I stayed for 12 nights and we loved it. The apartment was very clean and had a great view of Waikiki & the Ocean. Everything was within walking distance (beach, restaurants, luxury row, zoo etc), we managed to cover all of Waikiki from there on foot. Gina was very helpful and a great host. You get more value for what you’re paying for this AIRBNB than you would for the ocean front hotels/resorts. It’s much cheaper and unless you’re spending your entire vacation inside your hotel room there’s really no need to spend more than necessary. There’s a plethora of things to do in Waikiki and beyond. I would recommend this place to anyone travelling to Waikiki.
