Jun 27, 2019Wonderful stay in Vega last October .Apartment design and nicely furnished, well located between Casa Pedrera and Casa Ballto. Walking distance from Catalunya plaza (about 10 min). Heike has been very supportive and nice in accommodating us during the week. We recommend this address. It is a bit noisy as really in the city center but we were not bothered during the night.

Jun 27, 2019The apartment is centrally located in a very safe area of Barcelona with easy access to shops, restaurants and some excellent tourist sights. The apartment is quite beautiful, very clean with high ceilings, wooden floors, very tall windows and doors and nicely furnished. We visited over the last week of December and the city's Christmas lights were beautiful. The heating system was very efficient and no problems with hot water supply. Fully double-glazed windows and bedroom windows are double-double glazed so no problem with road noise. Although only on the first floor there is a small lift for those who may find it difficult to climb stairs with a suitcase. For those interested, the apartment is directly opposite the Egyptian Museum. Heike was a friendly and efficient host and solved a problem with one of the keys overnight for us. We really enjoyed our stay at Vela apartment and would recommend to others seeking a classy apartment in a great location in this amazing city.

Jun 27, 2019We have used Airbnb for our last few family European holidays, so we have some but not a huge experience with Airbnb. The host responded to my booking request very promptly and responded to my initial questions straight away. Communication was very good, which I found encouraging. When we arrived we were greeted by Alex who politely and articulately showed us around the apartment and resolved a number of very minor housekeeping issues. We had a slight issue with the internet on day 2 which again was dealt with promptly and efficiently. The apartment is tastefully decorated and appointed to a high standard and it was also very comfortable. We felt very much at home. On the first night we noticed a little traffic noise ( as was expected from a city centre location) but this was significantly minimized when the outer shutters and inner ornate shutters were closed. The apartment is located in a lovely spot, very central but a block or so away from where the main tourist congregations. We enjoyed exploring the city away from the bulk of the tourists. I would definitely recommend this apartment.

Jun 27, 2019The apartment is located on the corner of the main street of Barcelona, which is super convenient to access all the major sightseeings, restaurants and shopping area of the city within 2-3 kilometers. It's a really warm and tidy apartment with modern design and classic layout. It has a big dinning room with a super cute balcony, sitting where you can have a cup of coffee and relax for reading. Two bedrooms and two individual bathrooms are quite decent for a family and two couples of friends to stay. Alex and Schwartz are very helpful to offer clear instructions and quick response whenever questions were sent. It's impressive living experience and I highly recommend to all who gonna come to Barcelona for traveling.

Jun 27, 2019This apartment is in a great location within the Eixample district of Barcelona. Felt safe walking around the neighborhood even late at night. Close to restaurant, bars, local markets, shopping and within walking distance to many local attractions. The beautifully renovated apartment is in a classic building with several exterior balconies. We enjoyed sitting and enjoying our morning coffee in the glass-enclosed balcony. We loved the large clean kitchen that had everything we needed to prepare meals. Heike and Alex were great to work. Our inquiries were responded to quickly. Reported issues were resolved immediately. We would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Barcelona. We hope to be back again soon.
Jun 27, 2019The apartment is what we were looking for. A great location that gave us the ability to dine like a local close to home or an easy walk to any attraction in Barcelona. The apartment was clean and as advertised. As one other reviewer wrote, waking up and having your coffee on the glassed in balcony was wonderful. There are open air balconies off the bedrooms. Heike was responsive with any questions we had and was very nice to do business with.

Jun 27, 2019Heike and Alex were wonderful hosts, helpful, responsive and accommodating. The apartment is beautiful, it's in a historic building with an elevator that looks like a prop from Wes Anderson movie. It's very centrally located. When you stay there, you are surrounded by beautiful architecture, great cafes and restaurants, and lots of upscale shopping. It's also only a couple of blocks from a market and a beautiful flower shop. We stayed for a month and the place had all the creature comforts we needed: full size oven, good coffee machine, washer/dryer, dishwasher. Would love to stay there again in future. :)

Jun 27, 2019Simply an amazing unit, in the heart and in a very prestige part of Barcelona. Communication with both Heike and Alex were instantly responding to our inquiries. Lots of good cafes and restaurants especially the Tapas restaurant underneath the building. Definitely we recommend this place.
Jun 27, 2019Incredible location. Walk to shops, tapas, subway, Gaudi's Casa Batlllo. Total 4 window panes to keep the bedrooms silent. 2X2 Super Bay living room extension to watch life on the move. I recommend it.
Jun 27, 2019What a wonderful apartment in a perfect location. This was our first visit to Barcelona and we could have not been more pleased. The apartment itself had everything we needed and was so nicely decorated. The window box looking over the street was a treat. Our host was so accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. We hope to return to Barcelona and would definitely book this spot again.

Alex was the only person I met or dealt with once we arrived and he was tremendously helpful — I utilized pretty much all the appliances and had to contact ALEX each time for help. Hopefully there is a guide now in the house with manuals or instructions. It would have made a huge difference! Every thing else was great. The AC was making loud noises and we were told a part needed to be ordered...which seems to be a repeated theme in these comments— just FYI.

Jun 27, 2019Overall I highly recommend the apartment. Heike was quick to respond and I was able to leave bags there early. She provided very good restaurant recommendations. The flat was large, very stylish and has a lovely bay window sitting area overlooking the street. It had all the amenities and an excellent central location off the Passeig de Gracia - one block to the metro, about 15 minutes or less by taxi to most of Barcelona, easy walk to cafes, restaurants and shopping and a medium walk to the Ramblas, Gotico and Born. However the neighborhood is a little quiet at night for Barcelona and does not have a late night scene. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks, Heike!
Jun 27, 2019This is just a wonderful apartment in the heart of Barcelona. It is almost equidistant to the main sites of the city. The living room has a wonderful alcove over the street and the kitchen is well equipped. We found the place super clean and the beds very comfortable. Heike is a fantastic host! I looked at many airbnbs in Barcelona and was very happy with this apartment.
