The neighborhood is truly one of the very best in all Rio de Janeiro, Actually, you will be in the center of the Jewish quarter, just besides a synagogue, an area known for the high level of its inhabitants. Almost in front of the villa, you find a big and classy supermarket. The best restaurants are located at Barao de Ipanema Street, just in front of the outside gate. One block ahead, at Bolivar Street, lies the best nightlife of Copacabana, with many bars, pubs and restaurants that keep open after hours. All main tourist attractions (the Christ, Sugar Loaf, Botanical Garden) are easily accessible by subway, bus or taxi.

Transportation is easy and abundant. The Cantagalo subway station is just one block away, allowing safe and cheap connection to downtown and western areas. At Pompeu Loureiro Street you find several public buses to touristic areas of your interest. Taxis are plenty, you do not spend more than 10 seconds waiting for one (well, not when it rains). From or to the Galeao international airport, a taxi will take about 40 minutes and will cost you no more than the equivalent to US$ 20. From the Santos Dumont domestic airport, it is only 20 minutes far and a taxi ride will cost you the equivalent to US$ 10.
