Our neighborhood, Poipu Beach, is one of the newest and priciest sub-divisions on Kauai. It is in a safe area and within a short walk to all kinds of things to do. Beaches, Shopping Boutiques, Restaurants, Snorkel and Surf-board rentals, Bike rentals, Pubs, and Grocery Stores,...are all a walk away. There are even more of everything a short drive away also. The best thing about where our place is in the neighborhood is...we are the closest property to the Ocean. A walk through the Grand Wyndham resort (which also has restaurants and pubs), finds you at the shoreline. Perfect location.

Our subdivision is sensitive to the well being of the rare sea birds who nest in our jungles and must make their first hazardous flights to the ocean from the nest. We don't have street lights to allow the birds every chance to safely make it to the dark ocean at night (when these nacent flights occur). The young fledgling Shearwaters leave the nest and fly till they see moonlight or starlight reflected in the ocean. They then will land and rest for the night to begin their life as a denizen of the sea. So,...the open and dark skies at the house, not only assist the Shearwaters, but make for wonderful stargazing at the property. City dwellers can reacquaint themselves with the Milky Way, the North Star, Orion (in Winter) and Scorpio (in Summer) and other clearly visible constellations & stars. After all the best experiences are free!!!

Really you don't need a car at our place. Everything you could want is a walk or quick bike ride away. However, if you want to explore the entire island we recommend a rental car. The island does have a great bus system and taxi cabs.

The entire $2.5 million dollar home and garden are yours for the holiday!!! Fly a kite, run through the sprinklers, Stargaze (the Milky Way is easy to see here)...Pick a papaya or gather a bunch of bananas. Conduct a Wedding ceremony or Wedding Reception... Lay out on the lawn or the sun-deck...the place is your Kauai home!!! ALOHA.
