Neighborhood Overview
This spacious studio has good neighbours. When you walk out of the building there is a bright, tree lined cul de sac which leads you directly to the heart of everything great in Sydney! I adore this place! And the common area roof have clothes hanging space and a nice view of the surrounding buildings and the harbour.
Notes
Sleeping here is divine, and the space is especially peaceful to be in. There are no views as it looks into the light well, but it is airy and quiet. There is roof access for hanging clothes if you wish with a view of Sydney harbour. I have a floor fan to move the air in general as well as a whisper quiet Hunter ceiling fan over the bed. Then in winter I have a small but toasty heater. It does not really get too cold or that hot.

Super convenient location with level access to buses and the train only meters away. And of course the ever available taxi.
Access
A safe, security building located only 100 steps level access from Kings Cross fountain. You have access to everything in the apartment. There is also a roof top laundry and drying area with a nice view of the Harbor. Woolworths grocery store is across the street with a bus stop to central station and the City in front. Minutes from Wilson Parking Station and 200 meters to the Kings Cross train station. Minutes to Harbourside parks ... Beare Park and Rushcutters Bay park to name a few.

Mariana was a great host.She was kind,warm, and always helpful. I had a great 3 month stay at Mariana's (Website hidden by Airbnb) location,it was clean,well equipped,everything was well prepared.And clean big bathtub,I was enjoyed every bath time.

It's in a fantastic location off Macleay Street with lots of cafes and restaurants on the doorstep as well as easy access to the City via train at KingsX and buses. It also is an easy walk down to Rushcutters Bay park and the water if you're looking for a bit of peace and tranquility. The apartment itself is very quiet at the back of the buildings and well away from the buzz of Macleay St. It has also been brilliantly and neatly designed by Mariana with a great bathroom and kitchen with high quality appliances and a really comfortable bed as well as lots of nice Art Deco touches. Mariana is a fantastic host - really open and friendly, and generously invited us to use anything in the kitchen and bathroom cupboards. We would highly recommend Mariana's apartment and Mariana as a host - and would definitely stay here again.

The apartment is newer and has a great efficiency kitchen with all appliances you need in addition to a nice bathroom. The view looks into an inner space in between apartments and you can see into the neighbors kitchen, but nothing new if you have stayed in big city airbnbs. The apartment did not have A/C at the time of stay, I would recommend this place as long as it's cooler outside or more fans were brought in. The location is phenomenal. Lots of restaurants and a few coffee shops nearby with easy access to Kings Cross Station for your metro needs. Great stay overall!

Jun 27, 2019What a terrific little place to stay. Its freshly renovated and homely. The location is excellent with some of Sydney's best restaurants literally around the corner. Also easy access for Uber pick ups etc. Thanks so much for hosting us Mariana, it was lovely to meet you.
Jun 27, 2019The boutique apartment is nice, got everything in it, like cooking stuff and washing machine. Maybe a bit stuffed during summer cos not quite convenient to open windows in the living room, but it’s around 20+ degrees during our stay, so it’s ok for us. The apt is on 1/F, so need to walk few steps with your luggage. Mariana is very nice and helpful as well.

Jun 27, 2019This is a great place to stay for a couple visiting Sydney. It is not large but very well equipped with high quality fittings and furnished to a high standard. Kings Cross station is within easy walking distance as are plenty of good eateries and a supermarket.

Jun 27, 2019Mariana is such a great host..welcomes and bids goodbye to her guest personally. She responds quickly and has created a comfortable & beautiful abode for guest. Her flat is close to Kings cross station, bus stops and hop on/off stop. Close to grocery, market, restaurants and bars...including ice cream shops :). Her apartment is very reflective of Sydney...its a combination of a sense of culture & vintage with the comforts of whats new & functional. I LOVE the fact that we come home to a very comfy bed and bath tub + epsom salt after a very tiring touristy walking day. :)

Jun 27, 2019Mariana's apartment is centrally located, done up to a high standard (she installed a Miele dishwasher and induction hob) and is exactly as described in the description. The kitchen is also well equipped should you need to cook. It's clean, convenient and comfortable. Public transport is all within a few minutes walk which is always great. Check-in went smoothly too and we would like to thank Mariana for the wonderful stay. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend her apartment to other guests and would return to stay there during our next visit to Sydney.

Jun 27, 2019Mariana's place is in a beautiful and central location. The botanical garden and art museum are only about a 15-20 min walk away. There is a grocery store down the street and lots of good restaurants close by. It is a great option for a solo traveller or a couple who want to explore this amazing city!

Jun 27, 2019Stayed here for a short business trip to Sydney. A very cosy apartment, very clean and as described. The bed is super comfortable and the fittings and fixtures are excellent (great shower). I love the location as its so close to Kings Cross and to central Sydney itself. Lots of places to eat, supermarket just down the road and the apartment building is quiet and well maintained. If you have a car, you just need some forward planning and research as parking can be an issue. It only took me one night to find the right spots along the streets though, and there is a pay as you go car park nearby. All in all, a great place to stay and will certainly be on my list for any future trips.

Location is *fantastic* -- we walked to everything we wanted to see in Sydney and there is easy access to groceries/food, if you prefer to eat in. Mariana and Don are amazing hosts-- they were accessible for anything we needed and very easy to communicate with ahead of time. One blip: the neighboring apartment was very loud in the middle of the night (twice), but we let Mariana know and I suspect any issue will be resolved.

Jun 27, 2019Mariana's place is an absolute gem. Yes it's compact, but it's perfect for a solo traveller or a couple. The furnishings are gorgeous and beautifully arranged, the bed is super-comfy, the kitchen is thoughtfully designed with all the amenities you could hope for, and the shower is to die for. The location is excellent too, on a quiet cul-de-sac with lots of good places to eat and drink within an easy walk, and close to public transport for venturing further. Mariana is also an amazing host - I had sprained my ankle a few days before I arrived, and she brought me crutches to use during me stay! From communications before through check-in and during my stay, she was always responsive and helpful. Highly recommended! I'd love to stay again next time I'm in Sydney.

Jun 27, 2019Marianna's flat was absolutely beautifully finished to a high standard with some lovely Art Deco pieces. The bathroom was exceptionally done and the kitchen is small but had everything packed in - very impressive. The bed was SO a comfy too. Location is perfect to see all the sights and there are a great selection of quality restaurants and cafes close by. Marianna was an excellent host and very accommodating - made you feel right at home. This is a great base for your trip to Sydney so I would not hesitate to recommend it.
Jun 27, 2019The apartment is lovely. Everything was thoughtfully provided. I had good wifi, a well equipped kitchen to make brekkie, and lots of hot water for a bath at the end of the day. Great location - easy to catch public transport (bus 311 or walk 7 mins to Kings Cross station), but the off street parking around the area was mainly 1 hour so it might be tricky if you have a car. Lots of restaurants nearby, Hayes theatre round the corner and small weekend market (Saturday is better). I felt safe walking around even at night as there were plenty of people eating at the restaurants nearby. The apartment is on first floor so you need to be able to carry your bags up a flight of stairs. It only had filtered light as it faced another building so you have to turn the lights on all day long and was noisy when I was staying due to the construction next door. It would not be a place to stay in, ie, if you were planning to be resting indoors during the day time hours. I recommend this place for someone active who is going to be out and about all day. as it quietens down by evening and that's when the apartment is at its best.

Mariana's place is in a lovely neighborhood, close to public transportation, shopping and a great back-street walk to Circular Quay is very do-able. Mariana's flat is spotless, quiet and safe - a warm and welcoming host. I couldn't have been happier and hope to be able to return!
Jun 27, 2019Perfect accommodation in one of the best locations. We feel very lucky to have come across such a beautiful spot like this one and at such a decent price. My husband and I always stay in Potts Point/Elizabeth Bay when in Sydney but always spend more money than we'd like on accommodation. Mariana's spot will definitely be our go-to for future trips: it has everything you need and was incredibly clean. The bed was so comfortable and my husband couldn't stop commenting on how great the shower was! "That was one of the best showers I've ever had. I think it's the shower heads. We need to look into shower heads like these..." For those who have never been to Sydney, the accommodation is close by Kings Cross station which will take you anywhere you need to go in the city, but there are TONS of great coffee shops and wine bars right outside your front door. Elizabeth Bay is beautiful, a short walk away, which is worth a visit. Perfect place to sit with your morning coffee. My husband and I had a great time. Checking in was seamless. Mariana was the perfect host and very kind. She let us know about something we left behind which was sentimental and made plans to get it back to us. This thoughtful gesture proves what a caring host she is! We can't recommend this place enough!

The location is outstanding, close to markets, theatre and shops as well as a 5 min walk to the station. Mariana greeted us and was lovely. Already have recommended this place to family and friends.
Jun 27, 2019Elizabeth Bay is a pretty and convenient location. Mariana’s flat is small but has everything one could need and has been recently redecorated. It was also surprisingly quiet. Some of the best restaurants in Sydney are nearby. If you like to run the Domain and Botanical Gardens are close, as is the Boy Charlton pool. Harbour beaches, Circular Quay, and the CBD are a bus or short train ride away. Highly recommended.

The place is very quiet but still in an incredibly central location. Mariana was very quick in her communication and obliging in her hospitality. Highly recommended.

Jun 27, 2019Mariana's flat was in the perfect location for me to walk to everything. Cute neighborhood with lots of shopping, eateries, and services. The flat has been completely remodeled using high-quality materials. It's quite a small space, very efficient, perfect for a solo traveler like myself. It could accommodate two people, although the kitchen would fit only (Email hidden by Airbnb) fy bed with quality linens, nice bathroom with big tub, everything was new and spotlessly clean. It's a walk-up so you need to navigate two flights of stairs which was no problem for me.
Jun 27, 2019Mariana’s place is stylish and is very well equipped with lots of thoughtful touches. It had everything we needed for our stay. Don was there to meet us when we arrived and was very helpful in showing us the studio. The location is fantastic and given the central location, there is no noise from the nearby restaurants and bars. The atrium architecture of the building means that sound travels and we found the neighbours opposite to be a bit loud at times. Having said that we very much enjoyed our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to book again if we were back in Sydney.
Jun 27, 2019This compact apartment had all we needed, including an extremely comfortable bed, great shower with plenty of hot water, lovely art deco furnishings and all you needed to cook up a meal if you wished. Locally there are many good restaurants, a train station and a supermarket all within easy walking distance.
Jun 27, 2019Mariana is a lovely host, easy to get a hold of and happy to help out if you need anything. Having never been to Sydney before I wasn’t sure what was a good area to stay in. I was so happy with the location - Woolworths just across the road, 30 mins walk to circular quay, lots of lovely restaurants and cafes and I didn’t feel worried walking around at night alone so can’t ask for better! The flat was lovely. Really clean and tidy with a heater and fans so easy to keep warm or cool depending on the weather. Fantastic rain shower as well! I stayed here for a little over a month and the only thing I missed was having an oven. There’s a microwave and hobs so easy to manage without. Mariana had fly screens in place to keep the room ventilated which was lovely but it was very noisy the first night where we could hear the next door neighbours conversations and music! No problem to take some of them down and no problems with noise once we could close the windows. The internet did drop in and out a little in the evenings but always sorted itself out so again not really a problem. All in all it is a really lovely flat where I felt safe and comfortable in a new city on the other side of the world! Mariana was a great host and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

For a little space it has everything, incredibly well done - could have slept in the dream bed all weekend and not gone out and been happy!! All it’s missing is a view but you step outside and your in the heart of Potts Point - perfect!!

Mariana is a great host, who has included small touches (eg powerboard next to bed so you can charge multiple devices at once) which make the studio even more comfortable. Amazing bath/shower!

Jun 27, 2019Mariana’s place is a neat efficiency apartment located at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac in a good neighborhood, only a mile from the Opera House and Circular Quay. There is a supermarket, a pharmacy, at least three restaurants, a convenience store, a coffee and juice shop, a hop on hop off Bigbus stop, and a regular city transit bus stop within 150 meters of the front door. it is also within walking distance to Kings Cross where you can catch the train. we loved the location. Mariana is a nice host. Communication is excellent and she works to provide a nice stay for her guests. I recommend this place for couples or for individuals.

Jun 27, 2019I use Airbnb a lot (6-8 times a year for the last 3-4 years) and staying at Marian’s was easily one of my top 3 Airbnb experiences. The apartment has been renovated to completely maximize the space, and the bathroom is honestly a luxury experience (deep soaking tub with both rain and handle shower heads). Another delightful aspect of the apartment was the bed and bedding. Ive found that most Airbnb’s make a minimal effort in this department, but I had one of the best weeks of sleep of my life in that bed. So much so that I actually wrote down the name of the bedding and asked Mariana where she got the mattress in hopes of replicating the set up in my home. Finally, Mariana struck the perfect balance of being available and helpful but respecting my privacy as a guest. It truly was an exceptional experience. Strongly recommend!
Jun 27, 2019Awesome apartment with everything needed. The apartment is nicely decorated, very comfortable bed, well equipped kitchen and a nice shower. Great neighborhood and great location for exploring Sydney. Mariana, the host, was very responsive and helpful during my stay. I highly recommend Mariana's apartment.
Jun 27, 2019This place is in a great location, affordable for a stay in the city. We enjoyed the cleanliness and the amazing shower/bath combo. Also appreciated having a wash/dry machine for our clothes. We would stay again

Jun 27, 2019Mariana was a lovely host, met me with the keys and took the time to show me around the unit and how everything worked. The unit was sparklingly clean, the kitchen and bathroom are really nicely renovated and set out well. Although i stayed during a heat wave the fans kept me very comfortable. I’d definitely stay again.
Jun 27, 2019This place is AWESOME. It's small, but perfectly formed and has everything you need for a great stay. The location is absolutely perfect and close to all the best shops/restaurants/cafe's that Potts Point has to offer. Mariana is a fantastic host, very quick to respond and gave a great quality check in. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Jun 27, 2019Mariana's apartment is wonderful. Not only for it's location, really close to many of the most important amenities of Sydney but also for the great job that Mariana did with it. It has absolutely everything that you can imagine or you may need. The design is wonderful and beautiful and all the appliances are brand new and the best quality. We would definitely go back and stay there again and again.
Jun 27, 2019Mariana is an excellent host. She will communicate almost everything you need to know about the apartment when you check in. I especially appreciated the road maps and travel guides in the apartment. I knew I had found a truly Airbnb wonderful host when she recommended I take an "apple cider vinegar and baking soda" bath after my long 24-hour flight from Germany. The bath was nice!
