Siamo arrivati verso le 7 di sera con un ritardo di 3 ore rispetto all'ora stabilita e Joao si è messo a disposizione venendo a prenderci alla stazione e portandoci direttamente al suo appartamento. L'appartamento era pulitissimo e dotato di tutti i comfort, in più Joao ci ha fatto trovare già molto cibo all'interno dell'appartamento e ci ha descritto tutti i posti da visitare migliori spiegandoci anche tutti i mezzi di trasporto da utilizzare. L'appartamento è a dir poco spettacolare con una bellissima vista sull'oceano. Dalla posizione di Joao possiamo raggiungere in 20 minuti il centro di porto in bus ed in più subito sotto casa sua c'è un ristorante sushi che è buonissimo e di ottima qualità più moltissimi altri ottimi ristoranti e bar dove fare un buon aperitivo. Joao è una persona disponibile e ad ogni evenienza ti risponde subito dandoti una mano. Per finire in bellezza, l'ultimo giorno ci ha anche offerto il taxi per andare all'aereoporto. La sua ospitalità ha superato in ogni modo le nostre aspettative. Esperienza assolutamente consigliata e da ripetere! Un saluto e un grazie a Joao dall'Italia.
Jun 27, 2019It was amazing from the moment we walked in. João was an amazing host and the apartment was an absolute delight. The views from the balcony were just gorgeous. The apartment had everything that was needed and more. It was a slice of paradise. Really enjoyed our time their and look forward to going there again in the future. I would highly recommend it to anyone. A pure delight.
Jun 27, 2019João is an excellent Host in true Portuguese tradition. The house in modern and adapted for everyones requirements. I had spent some time with my Grandparents at his house and even though they are nearing 80, accessibility was as easy as home. Complemented by his service was the well thought out location and layout of the house. Stunning beach views and a stones throw away from relaxation in the sun.

Jun 27, 2019Perfect hosting and view to die for. It's a modern 5th floor apartment looking out to the port and end of the beach. Lots of ships coming and going to view. Joao makes every effort to make hosts comfortable and is very available for enquiries. We felt we were treated royally. The apartment is well equipped for self catering and a well stocked larder. Joao made some very good local restaurant (many in close proximity ) recommendations too. Major Supermarket other end of beach so handy to have bikes as transport. Everything made available from washing machine to bedding. Massive walk in wardrobe. Hot water reliable. His knowledge of Porto and provision of maps and information including travel cards was very helpful. There is a bus stop very close which takes you into the city in about 40 minutes for only €1.85. Matosinhos is a 20 minute walk away where you can pick up Metro, visit a market or eat at the many fish restaurants (fresh from fish market adjacent). We made good use of the bikes and this saved us time and expense also. We took the brilliant cycle way (no hills!) along the coast for about 20 km (Vila do Conde and beyond). Beaches and cafes all the way so a great escape for the day. Unfortunate the lift not always working but we survived and our fitness improved. Probably true of all apartments of any height, you do get some road noise and barking/ howling from local dogs. Happy to return to what became home away from home for nearly 2 weeks. Jun 27, 2019Joao is a great host! He met with us at the apartment and help us bring the luggage up. There was food for us to use at our arrival so we did not have to run at the convenient store right away. Everything is just as explained, very clean and modern. We walk on the beach and used the bikes to go to Porto! We loved our stay!
Jun 27, 2019Picked us up from the airport, and took us for a little tour round. Dropped us at the shopping center and picked us up an hour later. A very sweet and talkative man, very quick to offer help and quick at replying to our questions. Apartment was very clean and spacious. Very modern with a large television.
Jun 27, 2019Das Apartment war sehr schön und der Ausblick war fantastisch. Es befinden sich viele kleine Restaurants in der Nähe und ein Supermarkt welche gut zu Fuß zu erreichen sind. Ansonsten stehen zwei super praktische Fahrräder zur Verfügung mit denen man den Fisch & Obstmarkt besuchen kann. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Es wurde keine Mühe gescheut. Sogar vom Flughafen abgeholt und hingebracht wurden wir... Alles im allen waren wir sehr zufrieden und können es nur empfehlen!!!!
Jun 27, 2019Unser Aufenthalt in dem Apartment war super! Joao ist ein sehr bemühter Gastgeber, der einem den Aufenthalt sehr erleichtert und bei jeder Frage oder Bitte bereitsteht. Das Apartment war sehr sauber und der direkte Blick auf den Strand ein Traum.
Jul 27, 2019Difficile de faire mieux quant à la précision des descriptions et réponses à nos questions avant notre arrivée. Sur place, Joao s'est montré d'un accueil et d'une précision catégorie 5 étoiles, nous proposant même le transfert depuis l'aéroport . La vue depuis l'appartement, situé à l'abord d'un quartier ancien et calme, est juste splendide, et même si c'est éloigné du centre de Porto, les transports en commun (pas chers) au pied du logement permettent d'être à la fois au calme, presque les pieds dans l'eau, et en même temps de faire facilement du tourisme. L'appartement lui-même est moderne et confortable, à 3 personnes nous avons passé un séjour au delà de nos espérances. A recommander !

Jun 27, 2019João's place is a great place to stay. I feel lucky to have found it. It is right on the ocean overlooking a wonderful beach with good waves for surfing. I am really happy I stayed here. The pollution from the cars in downtown Porto is intense. João's place has clean air. There is a nice bike path that goes to the downtown and João has two bikes for guest use. There is a large fish market a few blocks away that also has vegi's. There is a wonderful sushi bar downstairs from the apartment. João's place is well situated, with easy access without traffic. This is a huge plus! The downtown can get gridlock. João is a friendly, helpful host. I hope you enjoy your stay. Brad

Nous avons été très bien accueilli, dans un logement vraiment agréable doté d'une vue splendide et de tout l'équipement nécessaire. João est un hôte attentionné et disponible. Il a fait en sorte de nous trouver un lit pour le bébé, ainsi qu'un siège auto. Vous pouvez réserver les yeux fermés !

Jun 27, 2019Joao est un hôte extraordinaire. Aux petits soins, il fait les courses pour que l'on ne manque de rien les premiers jours. Est venu nous chercher à l'aéroport et nous a accompagnées pour notre départ. Joao parle un anglais parfait et répond aux messages dans l'immédiateté. L'appartement est magnifique, sur la plage. Un peu loin du centre, il faut 50 mn de bus, l'arrêt est en face de l'immeuble.
Jun 27, 2019Hemos pasado una semana en el apartamento de Joao y nos ha encantado. Somos una familia con 2 niños y en el apartamento tiene todo lo que puedes necesitar: todos los utensilios de cocina, camas cómodas, TV con muchos canales, toallas de playa, wifi, bicicletas.… Y lo mejor cuando viajas con niños, a mitad de la semana vinieron a limpiar la casa y a cambiar sabanas /toallas, qué más se puede pedir(¡) El apartamento es más grande y más bonito de lo que se ve en las fotos y las vistas son increíbles a la playa; tiene una puesta de sol espectacular. No hemos echado nada en falta. Además, siempre tiene comida en la nevera y en la despensa por si te ves en un apuro o llegas tarde (luego se repone). La zona está muy bien ya que llegas en 15 min a Oporto en coche, y tras pasar el día vuelves y estas en la playa; hay zonas comerciales muy cerca y también muchos bares, terrazas y restaurantes. Joao es un extraordinario anfitrión, siempre pendiente de si necesitábamos algo y siempre localizable vía llamada / (Hidden by Airbnb) . Lo recomendamos totalmente!
Jun 27, 2019Strandurlaub, sowie Sightseeing sind von diesem Apartment aus perfekt realisierbar. Bars, Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten für den täglichen Bedarf sind fussläufig gut zu erreichen. Das Apartment ist sehr sauber und modern eingerichtet. Gerne wieder!

He communicated well and wanted to make sure we were comfortable. We used the bikes to ride on the great bike trails and waterfront. A wonderful location for active people!
Jun 27, 2019We stayed at Joao's appartement during the 1st week of May, we are a family of 4 with 2 small kids. Tye appartement has a great view over the beach and port and is well equipped with all things you need. In the neighbourhood are many restaurants to choose from and Porto is easy to reach by car or bus. Joao took good care of us during the welcome and with tips on what to do and where to go. We had a great time there!
Jun 27, 2019Recomendamos e voltaríamos. O apartamento é até maior do que nas fotos. Comportaria confortavelmente em outro quarto com cama de casal mais duas pessoas ou 2 crianças. Cozinha super equipada e João mantém mantimentos nos armários e geladeira. Isso é ótimo pois chegamos às 23hs cansados e com fome e jantamos ali mesmo. Apenas reabastecemos o que consumimos antes de sair. A vista é maravilhosa ! Estávamos de carro e todos os dias conseguimos estacionar à frente gratuitamente. Bairro elegante e lindo para se andar na orla. Apartamento perfeito para ficar muitos dias. Para quem vai com malas pesadas é perfeito porque tem elevador.
Jul 27, 2019João's Beach House is the excellent place with amazing view, especially at the evening (sunset is incredible) !!! The beach is just across the street! This location is perfect for cycling tours, surfing and just chilling. The apartment has everything you need for example: dishes, wi-fi, washing machine etc. Near the apartment is supermarket also a lot of restaurants and bars. João ist very very nice and helpful person. Contact with him was great!! (He picked us up from the airport and drove us back). We had great time (10 days) at Leça da Palmeira. We sincerely recommend João's house!!!!

Jun 27, 2019Først og fremmest var João en helt uovertruffen vært. Trods det at vi ankom ved midnat, brugte João god tid til at fortælle os om restauranter, gode steder at besøge, tranport, og de praktiske ting omkring lejligheden. João havde sørget for diverse mad, drikke, så både børn og voksne lige kunne nyde lidt god natmad og et glas vin. Lejligheden ligger perfekt ved stranden. 5 min gang ned ad stranden er der mulighed for at købe adgang til et lækkert pool i klipperne på stranden, da Atlanterhavet er lidt køligt. Det er meget let at tage bus 507 nedenfor døren direkte til centrum for 12 kr. Alternativt kan man tage bus 500 der køre den smukke Kystvej og op langs Duro floden til centrum. Der er et alverdens restauranter og spisemuligheder for både børn og voksne og indkøbsmulighed i sopermarkede og

Jun 27, 2019We had a great stay at Joao's place, we were in town for 4 days, a wedding so were rather busy for the first couple then enjoyed some time on the beach and had a fantastic meal at Joao's recommended seafood restaurant, Joao is a great host, meets and greats you, explains everything about the apartment in great detail, the place is very well equipped, beach gear, bikes etc, parking no problem. We were with our daughter and her fiance, and we were all most impressed. Joao is a great host, makes you feel welcome and special, he even turned up at 8-15am to see us off :)

Jun 27, 2019We stayed in Joao's beach apartment for 10 days in early September & we really loved it. The apartment was clean with a high standard of facilities including Wi-Fi, Tv, kitchen & laundry room. Ample equipment for the beach & bicycles available for use. Highly recommended.
Jun 27, 2019João is hands down the best Airbnb host we have ever had. He was so accommodating, great with communication, and his apartment was beautiful and clean. João offered to pick up me and my husband and our two friends (who weren't even staying at his Airbnb). He then dropped off our friends at a their Airbnb before giving us a short tour of the town. João had some great tips about what to do and where to eat around town. His apartment had the most amazing view of the beach and harbor. It was well stocked and organized. During our stay, João was excellent with communication, always getting back to us quickly. He also scheduled an Uber for our early morning flight. I would definitely recommend his apartment to anyone who wants to be by the beach and close to Porto.
Jun 27, 2019Amazing value for money and spectacular view. Apartment had everything we needed. Whilst 30-40 minutes from Porto centre it was an easy bus journey to Porto and a nice way to see suburbs around Porto. The local area was fantastic - very friendly, local butchers, great playgrounds and a great way to experience local life.

Jun 27, 2019Wir hatten wunderschöne Tage in dem Apartment und konnten jeden Tag den Sonnenuntergang vom Balkon aus beobachten (oder man geht über die Straße und ist direkt am Meer ;) ) Die Ausstattung ist super, es ist sauber und man hat alles da, was man braucht. Auch der Service von unserem Host war toll. Wir wurden vom Flughafen abgeholt und auch wieder hingebracht. Auf dem Weg ins Apartment wurden uns die wichtigsten Spots in der Umgebung gezeigt und auch für einen Ausflug nach Porto hatte er einige Tipps. Wir sind voll und ganz zufrieden - absolut empfehlenswert!

There's a pick-up at the airport, use of bikes, filled-up fridge ready to use, extra cleaning and towels, to the point information, active(but not over) hostcommunication and so on to point out but let's just say we had a great week!

Jul 27, 2019João's place was incredible. The photos really do not do it justice, the view from the front of the apartment overlooking the ocean is spectacular. João went above and beyond and was a great host- picking us up from the airport, driving us around in his car to show us his recommended restaurants and sights, and even lending me one of his wetsuits to go surfing. The bus stop to go into Porto is right across the street, and the bus costs €1,9 each way. The space is extremely clean and well laid out for 4 people. 10/10 recommend.
Jun 27, 2019We, family with 2 young boys had a great time at João's place. Apartment is as described and fully functioning. The view is indeed stunning! João is a great host. Explained us all we needed to know. He was extremely thoughtful to have a fridge with all the basics we needed at our arrival (we got to the apartment late afternoon, it was Christmas day, no close supermarket or restaurant open - thank you João!). We had a great time. Will definitely come back again.
Jun 27, 2019Joao's apartment has a lot of potential. Nice sea view and close to the airport. Joao is equipped to receive families with small children, the apartment is spacious. Joao provides bathroom products and something to eat, but the latter is not offered in spite of what does the majority of the hosts. The bed of the second room was broken and we could not use it during our stay.
Jun 27, 2019Miejsce piękne. Widok z okien na ocean. Gospodarz fantastyczny, pomocny i cały czas dostępny pod telefonem. apartament rewelacyjny. Pełna infrastruktura. Doskonała organizacja. Polecam to miejsce. Wszyscy, którzy chcą jechać do Porto koniecznie do Joao. Do centrum Porto jezdzi autobus (ok 1h) więc baza wypadowa idealna a wieczór spędzony na balkonie z lampką wina lub na plaży - bezcenny. Blisko knajpki, sklepy więc nic więcej nie potrzeba.

Jun 27, 2019We loved our stay at the beach house! The place was beautiful and had so much space and it was right on the beach. It was a great value. The house is outside the city center, but it is easy to get there and it's nice to be on the beach. João was also the best host. He gave us many things to do and recommendations for places to eat. He was quick to respond to any messages and helped with whatever we needed. We had a late nighttime flight the day we checked out and he stored our bags for us in his car and met us at the airport with them as well! I would definitely stay here again if I came back!!

Jun 27, 2019Careful and considerate host who takes the stress out of getting to know where you are, how to get around and places to go. Our time was short and Joao's place was comfortable, well presented with spectacular views over the Atlantic ocean. Joao gave us confidence to make the most of our short break, taking in the wonder of Porto and at the same time the splendour of the quieter coast.

O apartamento em si era muito agradável, bem mobilado/decorado com todos os bens essenciais tendo ainda uma vista privilegiada para a praia e zona bastante (Website hidden by Airbnb) certeza que voltarei.
Jun 27, 2019Die Aussicht von Joãos Wohnung ist einfach unglaublich, Strand, Meer, Hafen. Die Wohnung selber ist wie auf den Fotos abgebildet, sauber, schick, komfortabel, vor allem ausgestattet mit Kaffee, Essen, Wasser, Bier, Kinderspielsachen und vieles mehr. Mit João hat alles super geklappt, er kümmert sich sehr um seine Gäste. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Jun 27, 2019Vi havde et fantastisk ophold i denne lejlighed. Alt var bare perfekt. Helt fantastisk udsigt, meget pænt og rent. Dejligt at vi kunne bruge cykler og at Joao havde styr på alt - selv de mindste detaljer lige fra mad og drikke i køleskabet til udlån af strandhåndklæder. Vi fik en grundig intro til alt fra anbefalede restauranter til udflugter og ture. Joao er virkelig en sød, venlig og en omsorgsfuld vært, der gør alt for at du skal føle dig godt tilpas. Hvis nogen fortjener titlen som Superhost, så må det være Joao. Tak for en dejlig ferie vi kommer helt sikkert tilbage.
Jun 27, 2019It has everything we need. The restaurant downstairs is great. Street parking was easy. Great sunset beach view. My family had a good time staying at Joao's place.
Jun 27, 2019Very nice apartment just at the beach with a fantastic view. Everything was fine and as described. We also enjoyed to use the bikes for a trip to Porto. Joao is always available in case you would need any help and a perfect host.

Jun 27, 2019What a great place and owner! Apartment is very clean, large and has a beautiful view of the sea. Perfect place for chilling and sunbathing. João - if he could change the weather („foggy” sun) he would do it for us ;-) very nice and helpful person. Extremely nice welcome. I honestly recommend and will be happy to come back again :-)
Jun 27, 2019La casa è molto confortevole, Joan un grande ospite. Unico neo la distanza della casa dal centro di Porto, ma Joan sopperisce a ciò con grande disponibilità ad accompagnare. Stupendo il tramonto che si ammira dalla casa.
Jun 27, 2019João was a great and caring host! If you love the ocean, the beautiful sunsets, walking on the sandy beach, and watching the beautiful seagulls fly close to your apt. (which I do), then you will love staying here! It's a great break from the busy Porto (or Lisbon) downtown area. You can take different buses or use Uber, which was quick and cheap. You can also ride the metro. If you don't mind walking about 20 minutes, you can take the metro or the 500 bus (which is scenic). If you'd rather catch the bus outside his apt, then it's 507. João will give you all the info you need! There are lots of great restaurants & eateries to choose from, but if you want authentic experience with no English menus (use (Hidden by Airbnb) translator) and very cheap but delicious meals, try Restaurante Mar Vivo (leça Da Palmeira) on R. Hintze Ribeiro St. (we had grilled sardines and mackerel).
Jun 27, 2019For me, Joao's fantastic house has no single bad point. The house was so clean and cozy, the scenery on the terrace and the beach at sunset were really beautiful. The promenade along the beach in front of the apartment was the best environment for jogging in the morning and evening. In particular, two good bikes were able to move anywhere without a car. Most of all, the dishwasher in the kitchen is really amazing. In the bathroom, there are four kinds of towels according to the size. The best thing about this house is host Joao. He came to pick us up at another B&B in Porto where we were staying and drove us to the train station the day we checked out. It was also good to go by car and get a detailed description of the restaurants and facilities around the house, information on surfing lessons, surfing lesson recommendations, and a detailed description of the state of the beach. Taking 20 to 30 minutes by public transport from the center of Porto will be a consideration for somebody, but Joao's house will be the best choice for those who want to enjoy the quiet and warm daily life and surfing in Porto. I want to go to Porto again because of the 4 days I stayed in this house.
Jun 27, 2019Exeptional hosting - the personal approach, comfortable apartment, great view! At Joao place you may feel like at home - you will find everything there from coffee to toothbrush (in case you forgot (Email hidden by Airbnb) fortable beds, big living room for spending time with friends, all kitchen amenities. While driving us to the apartment Joao showed us lunch/ dinner places nearby. We trusted his recomendations and had wonderful dinner! I think the host is very important - how is communicating, caring, attendant, really making your stay comfortable. We stayed only one day, but would always remember this place if would come back to Porto again!
Jun 27, 2019It is a great place. João brings you and takes you back to the airport which is very convenient and he was very prompt in keeping those appointments. The view is impressive for those like me who like to see the sea.

Jun 27, 2019João is a super nice host and very easy to communicate. The apartment just few step to the beach and it get everything you need. There are many restaurants and shops nearby and it is very easy to go to Porto by bus or Uber. I really enjoyed my stay! Thank you João! Highly recommended!
