Neighborhood Overview
The Area Located near Botany Bay, the area where Captain Cook initially landed when exploring Australia, Monterey neighbours Brighton Le-Sands (10 Min walk away) providing ample dining and entertainment options. There is a beach half a block away that stretches for kilometres on end, a perfect destination to relax and a great swimming beach for children as no strong waves. With a plethora of restaurants to choose from, you will never be bored from the variety of cuisine available.
Notes
Please be aware that my son is only 7 so is not always quiet (we are up around 7am), we are out a lot through the week (working/school) but in the weekends/holidays we are home and in the daytime it can be a little noisy at times. Also I need the house to be reasonably quiet after he goes to bed (8pm).
Transit
Public Transport Situated around the corner to the bus stop, whether you're heading to the CBD or local train station, Rockdale (bus 478), there are plenty of options to take when planning to visit the city or suburban Sydney. The train trip to the CBD takes around 25 minutes while a bus ride usually takes 45. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any questions. Looking forward to meeting you.

Rules
If using - please hide the key safe numbers for security. If you could keep the noise level to a minimum after my son goes to bed, closing the bedroom door when making phone calls, chatting or watching tv and closing hallway doors quietly (they are noisy doors and the handles need to be pushed all the way down to close quietly) that would be great. After 11pm please refrain from using the shower, running the bathroom taps for too long, loud phone calls or banging doors as I am a light sleeper and these do wake me. Turn off bedroom/bathroom ceiling fan and lights when going out to conserve electricity. Keep kitchen tidy, dishes washed etc.I have recently had new wood floors in the apartment, please be aware they cannot get wet so if an accident happens please wipe up asap and ALL laundry/swim wear to be dried on the clothes lines outside. No unortherised visitors to enter the apartment day or night, thank you. $150 will be charged if the key is lost as I will need to change the locks o

Angela has good tastes on apartment decoration, such as the sweet fragrant candles and the tiny lights spread on flowers and comfortable sofa.... Jun 27, 2019It was great to meet Angela and be welcomed into her lovely home. While it's not close to the city center (about 45 mins away via public transit), it's definitely close to the Airport (15 mins away) and the beach (5-10 min walk). Uber or taxi is definitely the best way to reach this place from the airport though public transit can be an option if you have a lot of time. Bring your strong arms as you have to take your luggage up to the third floor as they don't have a lift. But, once you reach to her unit, you'll be rewarded with a great retreat. The house is very clean and the room was spacious. There's a big window besides the bed that brings in lots of natural light and there's even a TV in the room! Angela wasn't home the evening we stayed so we weren't able to converse more. But all in all, my family and I had a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

What's more, she has a lovely, tidy, and clean home. Thank you so much for accommodating me at basically a moment's notice! Her home is not too far from the airport, which is best reached by car (I used Uber).

Just staying a single night between flights, it was super convenient for an Uber to/from the airport and Angela was very accomodating with a last-minute booking. Fresh towels etc we're prepared, besides a key, local info etc. The room and whole flat were very tidy and clean. Angela was a nice host, would recommend staying here. The flat is good to reach with public transport.

The apartment is very nicely furnished and very well kept. The room is spacious and the bed very comfortable. Angela is a fantastic host and very keen to answer any queries and help out where possible. Definitely would stay again and recommend!

It was the first time we used Airbnb and we had a problem with the booking but Angela called Airbnb for us and helped to solve our problem within 5 minutes. Thanks for that again :). The room was clean as shown on the pictures. My girlfriend and me stayed 3 nights. Reaching the beach just takes 2 minutes by foot.
Jun 27, 2019Angela made our stay in Sydney very easy, she informed us well about the neighborhood, public transports, restaurants & everything we needed at her place. She couldn't be there upon our arrival but we communicate seamlessly through Airbnb. She also arrange us because we needed to stay for one more night and it didn't cause any problems to her. Her place was very cosy & nice, so was our room, very bright with all the commodities you'd expect. The bed was very confortable and helps us beat the jetlag easily as we were coming from a 8+12 hours flight from France! The location itself is great, I mean, you can walk to the beach in 5/10 minutes from foot! There is also loads of restaurants/cafes near the beach and you're like 15 minutes away to Rockdale station by bus if you want to go to the city center! The neighborhood is safe and quiet, perfect for families too! Angela lives with her son Coby, and they never bothered us so that won't be an issue at all if you were wondering! Either you want to live your life or socialize is up to you as they are really easy & respectful people! Me and my girlfriend enjoyed our stay very much and we would definitely come back again!

Jun 27, 2019Stayed at Angelas very briefly for one night on way to Southern suburbs. Place was easy to find and really close to the airport. Rooms were nice and clean and modern. Had a delayed late flight and Angela was very responsive and super easy to communicate with, and facilitated a late check in for me which was greatly appreciated. Highly recommend this place :)

She let me use her phone charger because mine wasn't working and had breakfast available. The unit was very clean and fairly close to the airport and near shops. The entire unit was airy and bright, with a well decorated balcony, which was perfect for an afternoon glass of wine, and having a peek at my work emails. The bedroom is super quiet, which was perfect after a long day work. The place is a 2-minute walk from the beach, which is fronted by a terrific walking path if you’re keen for a run or long walk. The nearest train station is a short bus trip away, or approximately 30 mins walk. Angela was super friendly, and has a wealth of interesting stories about her world travels. The conversation even led us to discover we knew someone in common! Small world.
Jun 27, 2019Angela's house was a lovely place to stay during my short trip to Sydney. Her house is spotless and neat, with everything you could possibly need to feel at home. In particular, the tissue box and folder of nearby restaurant pamphlets on the desk were thoughtful touches! The bed itself was comfy to sleep in and the room receives plenty of natural light. Breakfast and towels were all provided, and Angela and Coby are kind and considerate of their guests. Just a tip to keep in mind how big your luggage will be as there is no lift and you'll have to climb a few flights of stairs to reach her house. Overall a great experience that exceeded my expectations!

Jun 27, 2019My stay was in one word: Perfect. Booking and communications were nice, quick and easy. The room was super clean and comfortable and I had my own bathroom. Angela is a very nice and helpful person. Meeting her was a good start in Australia. (And lets me forget the „Taxi driver“ who ripped me off ;) ) Going to the center is easy and quick, just a few bus stops to the next train station.

Jun 27, 2019Angela takes her Airbnb seriously, but don’t let that make you think she’s strict or rigid! I needed three nights in the middle of the week and she responded within ten minutes. The room was ready in 90 minutes! Then I got a new itinerary to fly out the next day. She obliged and I got a quick refund of my two nights I didn’t need. Also, she was lovely to chat with. All features as advertised. Quaint beachside community. You should book now!

Jun 27, 2019Location: Absolutely fantastic, next to beach (less than one minute) Cafe's, Restaurants and Coles (10 minutes - you don't feel this walk as walking next to beach is itself a pleasure) Bus stand (one minute). The apartment has quite peaceful surroundings. Room: Has everything that you would need during your stay and the entire apartment is absolutely neat and clean. Also there are cereals available for you, which is a great plus. Host: Glad that I met Angela, clear instructions and clear communication made the stay as one of my best.
