Museums , shoppings, Broadway ave, trains stations, buses stops, central park ( 10 min by foot), riverside park etc. The only restrict requirement is no to engage conversations with neighbors. Try to be discreet and not make noises. This is a residential building and most of these people have been living here for a while and they think they own the building. Jun 27, 2019Murilo is a wonderful host, he told about some usefull places and always was in touch. The apartment is situated in a very good place near riversedie park which I love a lot (I'm already missing this park). This studio has all that you need, shared bathroom was free almost all the time. Not so clean, but it's ok.
Jun 27, 2019The room was nice and felt clean. The shared bathroom wasn't very pleasant to use. Murilo was great with communication. He had me worried a little with all his insistence not to speak to anyone but I didn't have any time problems. The location is great, only two blocks from the subway.
Jun 27, 2019Murilo is very nice and made 101 NY crash course for me upon my arrival. :) He was very nice and explained me on the map where to find all of the places I was interested. Apartment is very small but cosy and definitely very good for its price. One thing which slightly disappointed me - some scratchings and monotone noise at night (seems that it is conditioning system of the neighbors). Need to say that I am very sensitive sleeper.
Jun 27, 2019For how incredibly affordable Murilo's place is, it can't be beat. You're in a beautiful area of the Upper West Side. There is a shared bathroom but it was never a problem. Not once did I find the other person who uses it using it when I wanted to. And while the amenities in the bathroom are old, I found them to be quite clean. Otherwise, the bed is comfy and the table area large enough to do laptop work. The building itself has a (very cheap) laundry room in the basement should you need it. Murilo makes every effort to make sure you're doing well, and even will have a cup of coffee with you if you're so inclined to have him show you the city a bit. My only complaint would be that the WiFi is a bit slow, but that's really it. I felt safe and secure in this cozy studio. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great deal.
Jun 27, 2019The host was very easy to communicate with and the apartment is in a wonderful area, HOWEVER, if you're sensitive to cigarette smoke or smell DO NOT stay here. The entire floor smells like years of cigarettes and really made the stay less enjoyable. I hardly wanted to use the communal bathroom because it smells so potently. Murilo is a good host and it's a good place to rest your head in a pinch, but I would not recommend for long-term stay.
Jun 27, 2019Murilo had excellent communication. He gave me a lot of useful information upfront and checked on me throughout my trip to ensure everything was going well. This listing had a shared bathroom which was clearly posted in the listing i must have just missed it. The bathroom was clean and i never ran into issues with it being occupied. I did not like the shared bathroom situation though. It was a tad uncomfortable having to leave the apartment to use the restroom. I felt like i needed to lock up the apartment everytime i used the bathroom just in case. Not only was my stuff in the apartment but Murilos as well. Again, this was clearly posted in the listing so this was not Murilos fault. I didn't bother using the elevator after the first day. There is only one covering the whole building and its very slow so i just took the stairs. The common hallway area smelled really bad like food and cigarettes at all times. Murilos apartment smells just fine so no worries there!! The best part about this unit is the location!!! You are walking distance to anything you may need (market, dining, shopping, Central Park, etc). Its a short walk to Central Park which is amazing and its also walking distance to Midtown. There is a subway station right next to the unit so you can take the subway as well. Overall i enjoyed my experience at Murilos. The only thing keeping me from booking again is the bathroom.

For 2 people the apartment is quite small but if you plan to do a lot of sightseeing it is okay, as we did not spent too much time in the flat. The communication with Marcelo was excellent! He gave us good ideas what to see in New York!
Jun 27, 2019The apartment is exactly as described and Marcelo was very prompt and helpful in all communication. I would happily stay here again. As the ad clearly states the studio uses a shared bathroom but in a two week stay I only had to wait for it once. It is usually free.

Jun 27, 2019This is a nice apartment ideal for single person or couple. There are two parks, subway station, shops, etc in that district. Marcelo is very polite and helpful person. I recommend this variant - it will be your best choice for these money.
Jun 27, 2019Marcelo's studio is fine and situated in a quiet neighborhood close to Central Park, the Museum of Natural History and a bit of walk from teh Metropolitan. Marcelo provided me good information on the surroundings and help me to navigate with the various groceries and shops of the area. i appareciated this trip a lot.

Jun 27, 2019Marcelo jest osobą kontaktową. Lokalizacja mieszkania jest idealna, jeśli ktoś chce zwiedzać wyłącznie Manhattan. Mieszkanie ma około 10 metrów kwadratowych, właściwie jest to pokój, okna wychodzą na niewielkie podwórze w pokoju jest więc cały czas bardzo ciemno. W związku z tym, że o wynajmie mieszkania nie wiedzą sąsiedzi, właściciel jest bardzo uczulony na kontakt z nimi, co skutkowało tym, że praktycznie codziennie wysyłał smsy z pytaniem czy wszystko w porządku. Generalnie ok.

Jun 27, 2019Getting to the place was smooth. Location is UNREAL! Heading only a few blocks over there is access to many great bars and restaurants. Head a little further and there is an amazing amount of shops, Central Park, etc. Maurillo was very communicative and helpful setting things up. Definitely wanted to make sure everything was OK and I felt right at home. Had a good time.
Jun 27, 2019Everything was as you can see in the pictures. Additionally, the place is within 2 blocks of the subway which makes it highly accessible to the whole city. Marcelo was an exceptional host. Always willing to help out. Always responded very quickly.

Jun 27, 2019The location is great. PLEASE be aware that there is no private bathroom (not even a sink in the room)..its shared with the floor. Marcelo likes to communicate over (Hidden by Airbnb) and not the Airbnb app. He texts so much!! He was texting me weeks before I went to New York, days before AND while I was there. It was a little bit stressful! He was annoying in wanting to know the exact time I wanted to check in and check out. The building is old and smelly but Marcelo’s room doesn’t smell. It was neat! The hallway smells like cigarettes. He left towels in a rack for me to use. Once I checked out - he sent me a long paragraph telling me how disappointed he was that I used his towels. Proposing that I should’ve left money for him to wash them! RUDE! I don’t recommend this place if you want privacy and I don’t recommend this place if you have kids.
Jun 27, 2019I had a very nice stay at Marcelo’s place which happens to be my old neighborhood (actually the same street). He was very easy to communicate with and made me feel comfortable in his home. Great value in a wonderful part of Manhattan.
Jun 27, 2019First, the listing is incorrect, either its Airbnb fault or the host's fault, the bathroom is shared, and when it is that way I'm not sure how Airbnb shows this apartment under 'Entire home' category. Second, the host insists on communicating via (Hidden by Airbnb) , and just keeps on messaging all the time, I had to block my notifications so that he doesn't bugs me. Do yourself a favor and just tell him you don't have a phone and save yourself
Jun 27, 2019Marcelo's place is in a good building in a really safe neighbourhood and was really close to the 86th W subway station and the cross town buses so getting around was great. The shared bathroom is with an 'unrelated' apartment which I hadn't been expecting and there is no source of running water within the apartment but you get used to that. I found the bed too hard and had to improvise a softer mattress by using blankets under the sheets. Towels and sheets were supplied but with the shared bathroom situation it was hard to work out who was responsible for replenishing soap and toilet paper etc in the bathroom. These are all things that I think could be easily remedied and the location and safety aspects were good.

Jun 27, 2019Fantastic location; easy walk to the 1 train. Marcelo was not too pushy or anything. What others said about the smell of cigarette smoke in the hallway leading up to the room was accurate, but the smoke never made it into the room itself. Do note that the shared bathroom is in the public hallway, not in any private area shared with another room.

Jun 27, 2019Great small apartment. Marcelo was awsome und helpfull. It was my first trip to New York and my first trip with Air bnb too. He took away my fear about the trip alone and was always available for me by cellphone. Für einen Trip nach New York genau das, was man braucht. Das Badezimmer befindet sich auf dem Gang. Bis auf ein paar kleine Ausnahmen war es immer sauber. Für den Preis würde ich immer wieder diese kleine Wohnung buchen. Mikrowelle, Kaffeemaschine... alles vorhanden. Thanks to Marcelo for the great support.

The place was clean and located in a very nice area. Especially in a place like NY where hotels charge up to $300/night, this was amazing for the amount I paid.

The apartment was in a great location right by the park and contained everything needed for a short stay. Would absolutely recommend to stay there, thanks Marcelo!
