This house is very unique because of the location. We cannot express it enough how wonderful the location is. Kapaa, where this home is, is in the middle of everything! We are also right across the very famous 7mile bike/walk path which is perfect for sightseeing!

Neighborhood Overview
This home is not located in a touristy neighborhood . Our friendly neighbors are all local. Baby beach is a very famous beach but doesn't get too overcrowded. Kapaa town is a 10 minute walk and you can easily shop, dine and maybe have a drink or two! Grocery shopping is literally right across our street (Big Save, Safeway, or Foodland) and the post office is a 5 min walk.

Wayne &Kim welcomed us with open arms & smiles. Very gracious & accomodating. Unobtrusive (they live next door), yet available for questions or help. Awesome hosts and would stay with them again without reservation. House was on the beach; neighbor hood was average beach houses; always felt safe. Grocery stores,shopping were within walking distance.
Jun 27, 2019This cute oceanfront home in Kapaa was perfect for us. The central location made it easy to do hiking at both extremes of the island - Hanalei and the Waimea Canyon, and then come "home" to a refreshing swim in the ocean just across the small road/bike path. There were only 4 of us so the house felt very roomy. It would be very suitable for a bigger group or even 2 families with kids. We used the screened porch dining area several times as well as the deck area - perfect for morning coffee while watching the sunrise and the early morning joggers along the bike trail. We enjoyed being in a neighborhood amongst the local folk. We felt very safe. Our hosts provided every amenity needed in the kitchen and bathrooms, plus Wifi, TV and music, as well as beach towels, chairs, etc. for a trip to the beach. Travel guides and brochures were available as were our hosts. We were even treated to a nice welcome tray of goodies and a cute little departure gift. I highly recommend this home to other travelers to Kauai and I would be happy to stay here again.
Jun 27, 2019We had an awesome stay at this oceanfront home! The host left us an amazing welcome tray of goodies to enjoy. We had a fairly large group (6 adults and two small children) and the house was a perfect fit for us. The host even provided a pack 'n play crib and beach toys for our little ones. We had most of our meals in the house and loved the sunroom dining area. The kitchen is fully stocked and we enjoyed the other amenities of the house (porches, BBQ, outdoor shower, beach towels & toys, Wifi, travel brochures, etc). Kapaa was the perfect, central location for our vacation. It was easy for us to explore all parts of the island. We felt safe in the neighborhood. We recommend you stay at this home when you visit Kauai. We would love to stay here again.
Jun 27, 2019The layout of the house was perfect for 3 couples - with privacy in the bedrooms and bathrooms. The shared space, living, dining and kitchen were comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped and we liked the open design - we cooked Thanksgiving dinner and enjoyed a few other meals at the house, and also local restaurants. Of course, sitting on the porch looking at the ocean was a favorite activity, between outings to hike, kayak, snorkel and see Kauai. We also enjoyed being on the bike path - mostly we did walks/runs, but the bike rental shop is close by for those who want to bike. Great to be able to walk along the beach away from traffic. Little extras were nice, like the cooler box, so we could take picnics with us on our outings. Check out the Weds afternoon farmers market nearly - bought some flowers and yummy fruit!
Jun 27, 2019The house is right on the ocean. It is lovely there. Several decks to sit on. Great view of the sunrise. Right on the start of the walk/bike path. Very accessible to town. Wayne and Kim greatest us when we arrived. Gifts of coffee and macadamia nuts and chocolate. Also necklaces for our girls. They are both lovely people with great hearts! The beds were good with nice linen. The towels were new or near new and white. They had beach towels for us that were very nice. Wayne and Kim were very accessible via phone or text. Great source for what has great value on the island.

Wayne and Kim were both super responsive and helpful and made sure to check in to see that we had everything we needed, or provide recommendations for the area. Jun 27, 2019This is a delightful home for an easy-going vacation. It's across a small street from the ocean, and the beach had a monk seal visit during our stay. We saw whales from the lanai. It doesn't get better than that.

It has everything you need for a comfortable stay and Wayne and Kim are minutes away to help you with any unexpected needs. We can't wait to return to this amazing home!
Jun 27, 2019We stayed for 8 days with our 2 adult children and their spouses and our one-year old grandson. We concur with one of our daughters who wrote, "Kim and Wayne were great! They were friendly, helpful and proactive," and with one of our sons-in-law who wrote, "Wayne was awesome, very friendly and helpful. He quickly solved any issues we had and was eager to serve." The house was very comfortable and ideally located, steps from the water. The view from the living room and master bedroom and deck are wonderful and the hedge around the property affords privacy from the infrequently used one-way street. Had it not been for the comment of someone driving that road while we were outside, we might have missed the sea turtle swimming in the bay-like area right in front of the house! The bedrooms are in different corners of the house and each has its own bathroom so there was plenty of privacy. The location is almost equi-distant from the North Shore and Waimea/Poipu areas where we enjoyed beautiful beaches and wonderful trails that led to amazing scenery! The bike trail in front of the house is 7 miles along the coast and a great way to see it and get some exercise. We didn't spend much time in Kapaa since we were more interested in scenery than 'the scene' but next visit we will spend time exploring it. The house is older but nicely decorated and any problems are quickly and satisfactorily resolved by Wayne. While we were there they kindly purchased snorkel gear for our use, as we expressed an interest in it. We found them very accomodating, making our stay better than expected.

Shopping is right down the road yet you are in a quiet, friendly neighborhood. You will love waking up to the sun rising on the ocean and going to sleep to the sounds of the waves.
Jun 27, 2019Wayne & Kim were excellent and very attentive hosts. We appreciated the 'welcome' goodies. The home and beds were comfortable and clean. We loved the central location of the home and the fact that there was an amazing view from the two bedrooms on the east side as well as an excellent breeze. There were beach towels, chairs and ice chests as well as snorkel gear for a great day at the beach. The neighborhood was quiet overall. Home is right on a great bike/walking path. Easy walk or drive to town/shops. Thank you so much Wayne, Kim and Kane!
Jun 27, 2019Wayne and Kim were both terrific hosts. Excellent communication and great attention to detail. We stayed for 7 days and were traveling with our family of 2 adults, 3 teens and 2 younger children. The floorplan of the house worked really well for us. The description is accurate. Plenty of rooms and bathrooms. The outside shower was especially wonderful! Kim left special items for the family and there were games and small gifts for the kids. The house came with chairs, snorkels, beach towels and ice chests that made our island adventures a breeze. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you might need for meal prep. We even used the outdoor grill. It felt so luxurious to sit out on the deck to eat breakfast and enjoy coffee. The view is wonderful. The beach across from the property is nice, but not the very best for children to swim. However, Lydgate Beach is a 5 minute drive away and perfect for families. Our teens were able to rent bikes for the week and explore some of the island on their own. The central location of the house was ideal for us as we were wanting to drive to other parts of the island, both west and north. Close to the airport, adventures, stores and local shopping & food. We really enjoyed Street Burger! During our stay we did experience a couple of issues. Rain on the island is pretty typical, but due to a leaking roof, the dining room area became unusable. Our hosts shared this had been an issue, but they thought it was repaired. We also experienced an issue with roaches in several rooms. Wayne did come and put out "roach motels." Other guests might also consider the fact that the home does not have air conditioning. (1 room has a small unit) We knew this, but didn't understand the implications of this for our JULY stay. Even with all the fans going, the house was hot and humid. The weather remained in the 78-84 degree area. Wayne and Kim were responsive to our concerns/ issues. I believe they will continue to strive to improve the stay of their guests.

Perfect spot for traveling to the north or south side of the island. Easy access to fine dining and grocery stores. Just a few steps to watch the morning sunrise.
Jun 27, 2019I’m not sure I know enough positive words to fully describe how amazing Wayne, Kim, and their home was for our family vacation. From the first communication, Kim was prompt, caring, open, and made me feel comfortable and excited about our stay. She was amazing about keeping in touch, accommodating our check in and check out needs, and even remembered details about my family and our trip that made us feel special. The home itself was lovely. The location and view are the main selling points. If you want to stay in a comfortable home with ocean views and within walking distance to shops and restaurants, you can’t do better than this. They also included a handy guide with things to do and places to eat so you know where to walk to and what to try (I ALWAYS love local recommendations so this was awesome for me). The house has a lovely Hawaiian beach house feel that is colorful, comfortable, and functional. There was plenty of space for the whole family to gather outside and inside for meals and fun and the bedrooms accommodated everyone very comfortably. We loved that the house was fully stocked with beach towels, snorkel gear, BBQ, condiments, etc. It made it very easy to walk right in and feel at home. It was the epitome of relaxation to be able to enjoy breakfast and dinner out on the lanai while listening to the waves and enjoying the sea breeze. Now let me talk about Wayne and Kim. They are some of the nicest, warmest, most hospitable people you could ever hope to meet. From the warm correspondence to the welcome preparations, we immediately felt like we were being treated like longtime dear friends or even family. Kim was ALWAYS accessible via text or phone if questions or concerns popped up, and talking to Kim was so easy, at times I would forget that we had only just met through Air Bnb. Wayne stopped by and introduced himself as well and we felt very comfortable with his presence and warmth. They handle their rental properties with real Aloha spirit and professionalism. They truly are rare gem human beings. From the moment we walked in the door, my family already started planning our next trip to Kaua‘i... a trip that we now can’t imagine making without staying at Wayne and Kim’s. Mahalo for everything, Wayne and Kim! Can’t wait to return next time.
Jun 27, 2019We booked this home last minute and Wayne and Kim were quick to respond and booked us in the next day. They even left a cute welcome toy car for our toddler son and some fresh fruit and treats on arrival. The home is across the road from the ocean and we saw a monk seal sunning himself the first morning. Walking distance to good food. Nice clean family home. Lots of love has clearly gone into the place.
Jun 27, 2019The house is great for a large family (we had six adults, two young children and one infant). With four bedrooms and three baths, there was more than adequate space. Remember, however, that this is a beach house, not a mansion. If we were to return to Kapaa, Kauai with as large a group again, we would not hesitate to book Wayne and Kim's place.
Jun 27, 2019Fantastic location; not only right on the ocean, but a good central location to travel around. The house has everything you need to accommodate a large family. We used all appliances, bought a Costco or Safeway (nearby) and either cooked or grilled out. Great place for walks along the ocean and just relaxing with family. We'll stay again, either at this one or the one they own next door.

Jun 27, 2019Thank you so much for letting us stay in your home. My family and I were so happy with all that you had available. Pictures don't do it justice! Perfect location and perfect house for our crazy, loud kids! There was more than enough room for all of us and even the yard was perfect to throw a frisbee. Outdoor shower was a must! The kitchen had everything that we needed. We had left over food, so it was nice that we were able to leave it there since Wayne and Kim share it with the homeless shelter. Coolers, snorkel gear and boogie boards were great! Wayne was very quick to respond with any concerns we had. I don't know what else to say, but hopefully we can come back to this amazing property!
Jun 27, 2019Kim & Wayne's place was amazing. The home is definitely older but so charming and updated with everything you need and more. Kim & Wayne left a beautiful welcome surprise for our group. I loved that the home has so much character and open space. We were visiting Kaua'i for a family memorial and were rained out at every venue the entire weekend. We were able to hang out comfortably with our family and have a lot of space to relax. We even met a lot of the neighbors and would meet up for sunrise with the local fishermen at the beach and talk while drinking our coffee. The best surprise was the local monk sea that would visit the little beach right across the street and frolic in the water before sunning on the reef. Great place for family, friends, adults and children alike!!! We hope to come back and stay again.
Jun 27, 2019The place was great! Has a great yard and so close to beach. Walkable to everything but still super quiet. My favorite part is the SUPER kid friendly beach. I have a 2 and 4 year old and it was perfect for them to swim with no (Website hidden by Airbnb) has a rock wall that makes a perfect lagoon.
Jun 27, 2019The layout of the house was absolutely fabulous for our family and would be perfect for 3 couples. The view is a million dollar view at a bargain price. There are markets, coffee shops, and restaurants all within easy walking distance. And Baby Beach is literally a 90 second walk, walking at toddler speed. And the house is really centrally located so that you can easily get to Princeville and Hanalei Bay, or Lihue & Poipu. Wayne & Kim were amazing hosts who were super easy to get ahold of if needed, but were very non-intrusive. I would recommend this rental to anyone looking for a place to stay in Kauai!
Jun 27, 2019Perfect! Wayne and Kim really bring the aloha. The house is super comfortable with practically everything you’d ever need. The location is fantastic- especially if you have little ones. Baby beach is literally stumbling distance and the bike path is great- we didn’t use our car much. The views and sounds of the ocean are idyllic. I also thought it was a terrific value.
Jun 27, 2019This place is fantastic! We went as two families. Our party included four adults and two toddlers (16 months). We were so close to the beach, we didn't need to bring anything with us! No schlepping food, diapers or extra anything! We didn't even bring towels as we would just go back to the house to the outdoor shower and throw a towel on after! The beach is perfect for littles who aren't swimming yet! Our daughter is such a water baby and loved splashing around in the shallow water, and we loved that we could give her the freedom to explore! The house has a fantastic deck overlooking the water and wonderful lanai if dining indoors is your preference! It's not air conditioned, but we never found that to be an issue. Even during naps it was cool enough, and a small give to get such a wonderful home with wonderful hosts. Wayne and Kim are lovely and incredibly accommodating! They provided two high chairs and a pack n play to make our stay easy! Check in and out was a breeze! The path outside the house was a flat and easy walk to town along the water! We felt so lucky to be there!
Jun 27, 2019This was our 4th time to Hawaii, first time staying at an Airbnb vs. a resort (though we've rented houses and condos in other locations, and knew what to expect). Aside from a few areas of the house that could use some updating, it was just what we needed! Super cute home, with all of the amenities to do some living for the week. The kitchen was stocked with spices, oils and other things to cook with. The beach chairs, umbrellas and coolers helped us have great days at the beach. We stayed with another couple and had such a lovely time sitting on the deck, watching the ocean and the stars, cooking together (and drinking, too! the blender comes in handy), and eating (and drinking :) ) on the lanai. The beds were comfortable, there's a nice breeze most times of the day, and there are fans throughout. The location is fantastic! Aside from day trips out, we walked most of the time - to eat (Lemongrass, J02, Sam's Ocean View, Olympic Cafe), to massages (try (Website hidden by Airbnb) - AMAZING), to the beach (SO CLOSE!!), to shop in the downtown Kapa'a shops, and to grab odds and ends at the Big Save. Safeway is a super quick drive, too (their poke is surprisingly good!). Most of all, Wayne and Kim were delightful hosts and I'm so grateful for opportunity to meet them stay at their home. Just a great vacation!
Jun 27, 2019First and foremost Wayne and Kim are wonderful hosts who want you to have a great time on Kauai. There are many nice touches: - drinking water dispenser - lots of good towels and linen - well provisioned kitchen in terms of condiments, dishes and utensils - excellent wifi and TV - comfortable furniture throughout. Plenty of outdoor space and so close to the water/beaches. You can walk to numerous eating places in Kapaa + excellent coffee at Java Kai. You may want to consider bringing earplugs for the morning call of the roosters. This is an older house exposed to the sea air and all that means in terms of the impact on metal and wood plus salt air on windows & cars. The house is spacious and the location is ideal for exploring the wonderful island of Kauai and proximity to Kapaa township.

Jun 27, 2019We had a great trip in Kaua’i with this house as our home base! It was set up nicely for families, we had a 5.5, 2.5 and 8 month old with us. We appreciated the outdoor shower and big bathtub for post beach kid clean-up, cocktails and dinner on the deck, and the strong sound of the ocean as we went to sleep. Wayne and Kim were so quick and responsive to our questions. We will definitely consider staying here again when we come back to Kaua’i! Enjoy, wish we were there!!
Jun 27, 2019This is such a beautiful and relaxing house to stay in. You can enjoy the sounds of the ocean to sleep and sunrise over the ocean in the morning. We were excited to stay here from the get go, but the house still exceeded our expectations. Relaxing, and Kim and Wayne have thought of absolutely everything you could need and are very kind and helpful. A great central location with a. Beautiful little beach right out the door. We only hope to stay here again on our next trip!

Jun 27, 2019This is our fourth time to stay in this fantastic space - and there are so many reasons we keep coming back! The house is lovely, with a gorgeous maintained front lawn and the ocean right in front of you! Wayne and Kim go all out as hosts, from the thoughtful hospitality basket filled with local goodies like chocolate-covered macadamia nuts and Hawaiian coffee, to plenty of pillows, linens, and towels, and everything you might need: snorkel gear, boogie boards, sand umbrellas, the works. They are so prompt in their responses and a joy to work with. This house is charming, one-of-a-kind, and we can't wait to come back again!

Jun 27, 2019This is a perfectly delightful place to stay. There are really 3 separate bedroom/bathroom areas which was great for our adult family group. The kitchen has just about everything one needs to cook - the whole place is abundantly furnished . The screened -in dining area was were we began every morning with coffee and ended every day with a game or two. So beautiful. And finally - such a great walking area along the paved parkway next to the beach and a great way to walk to the charming town of Kapaa just 5-10 minutes away. This is truly a charming place to stay and Wayne and Kim were perfect hosts. Highest recommendation.
Jun 27, 2019We we're so close to the beach I could hear the waves, it was so relaxing. The kitchen was well stocked as well as the bathrooms. The screen dining was the perfect place to have our meals or just sit and chat. They had everything you need for a day adventure, we took advantage of the cooler. The keyless entry was a great feature. Our flight was delayed and the host turned on the lights for us, so thoughtful. They had a goodie basket waiting for us. We would stay there again.

Jun 27, 2019We booked this house over the holidays and it was amazing! You are steps from the ocean and have a protected beach across the street that doesn’t get too busy and is perfect for kids as the water only comes up to waist level. You are an easy walk into Kapaa where there are great restaurants and shops, and we made use of the 15 km walking/biking trail outside the house every day. Wayne and Kim were fantastic to deal with. We rented the house with two other couples and everyone had enough room (rooms were spacious and everyone has their own bathroom and the common area is great). and we were very comfortable. We loved eating outside on the porch and were able to watch the sun rise/set. We hope to book this house again in the future as it was fantastic! Thanks Wayne and Kim!
Jun 27, 2019We had a wonderful time! It was in a perfect location, a minute walk from a small yet awesome kid beach, perfect for our 10 month old and 3 year old. We loved hearing the waves at night and watching the sunrise from the porch. The house was older but in nice condition. It was a great setup for kids with a large yard, beach toys and baby/toddler beds. We would love to come again!
Jun 27, 2019Our trip to Kauai was a three-generation celebration, and our party of eight included two babies - one a year old and the other eight months. None of us had been to Kauai before and booking accommodation sight unseen for a ten-day stay with a gang like ours was an act of faith. We chose Oceanfront Harmony because the layout included separate living spaces for three families, and it was next to a bike path/quiet road and across from a baby-suitable beach. The accommodation and location turned out to be even more perfect for us than we imagined. It’s a short walk not just to the beach, but also to shopping and dining - and the bike path is a terrific walking trail that extends along the coast. The house is part of a small subdivision and the neighbours are friendly and welcoming. The layout of the house allowed us to have both together time and quiet time for babies (and parents) to nap. We dined in a lovely screened-in dining room and had drinks on the deck with a view of the ocean. Our hosts, Wayne and Kim went beyond our expectations at every level – including an extravagant welcome basket, a well equipped kitchen with lots of cooking basics, as well as many beach supplies including chairs, towels, toys, and an umbrella. They had wonderful suggestions for places to eat and sights to see. To top it off, we had expected to rent high chairs and sleeping cots for the babies and instead Wayne and Kim bought two of each to add to their guest supplies. Oceanfront Harmony was a spectacular place to stay and we lacked for nothing
