Please lock the gate door and front door when you come and go but do not lock the white doors dead bolt to the 1st floor apt. There is no key for that lock so in doing you lock anyone not inside the apt out. The apt door which is white is auto locking as well. The main gate and black door are not. Please be aware of bathroom use not exceeding 10 mins in the morning hours due to us perhaps rushing to go to work. Specifically during the times of 6am to 7am. Please do not leave any bags or towels inside of the bathroom. Please be respectful of noise after midnight to 6am. Only guests on the reservation are allowed to enter the building. Violating this will result in termination of the remainder of the your stay. Lost key fee - $20 Late check out fee - $50

Natasha and her boyfriend are very nice, friendly people. She responded promptly to my messages and was keen to help in any possible way, being very flexible with the check in time (thank you!). The room is as shown in the pictures, clean. They gave me lots of indications about transportation (about 45 mins to midtown Manhattan) and places to go out in the area. Would definitely recommend! PS. One HUGE plus is their great coffee machine, a sign of true hospitality.

Jun 27, 2019Natasha's home far exceeded expectations. I loved the additional touch of offering a robe for guests. The place was lovely and very clean. Natasha and her boyfriend were very nice. He even offered coffee and conversation, which I loved. Hands down, would stay here again when I visit NYC.

Jun 27, 2019I had a very pleasant stay. Natascha and Rubin are very kind, helpful and welcoming. The apartment is very nice and clean. And you can have good coffee too. It's a bit far from more touristic locations but still easy to get there with public transportation. The neighborhood is worth discorvering.

Jun 27, 2019Nice place, very cozy. The toilet could have been cleaner, but the rest was fine. Nice people. About the neighborhood, I didn't feel safe when walking outside during the nights, but I didn't have any actual issue. Thanks to Natasha and her boyfriend.
Jun 27, 2019We saw Natasha and her boyfriend only few times during our 6 nights stay because they leave early for work but when we needed help or had questions they were very nice and helpful. The room is really lovely with a comfy bed and space for store/ hang your clothes. The bathroom was very clean and as shown in the pictures. All in all did we find a great place here for visiting NYC. We would always book it again. Only it takes a bit to get into the Centre (Manhattan, around 30-40min) but it's totally worth it considering the price.
Jun 27, 2019I only stayed at Natasha's for one night (so short, in fact, that I wasn't actually able to meet her!) However, she was really communicative and helpful, and it was easy to check in and out. The room is pretty good sized and clean, and the home itself has a lot of character and is very warm and welcoming. The apartment is a little far from the subway stop (about a 15 minute walk) but for the price, it's great value for money. It was safe, residential and the room was really comfortable!

Jun 27, 2019Natasha and Reuben made me feel very welcome in their home. Lovely house in a good neighbourhood. The room is great with a comfy bed and lots of space. The bathroom was very clean and as shown in the pictures. Would recommend staying here if you want the Brooklyn experience, wander down to Bushwick and spend some time checking it all out.
Jun 27, 2019Natasha is a really sweet host! Her apartment is very cosy and comfortable. If you're a tourist, I'd suggest you look for a place closer to Manhattan. Otherwise, Natasha's place is perfect for getting away from the hustling bustling city.

Jun 27, 2019The place was pretty great. Easy check-in, quiet location, private room. The bathroom was pretty beautiful, as was the space in general, as advertised. I didn't have many questions, but when I did they were responded to quickly and kindly by the hosts. It seemed like a long walk to get to the place at night, but when morning came I realized quickly that it was only a brief six block walk. It's also near a value grocery store that cut down some of my food and snack costs in the city. Great place, recommend it.

Jun 27, 2019Ruben was very patient and helpful throughout my stay. Despite me having slight confusion on lockingthe doors, he took time to explain me the correct process. I talked to him couple of times and seemed like a great person to have a conversation. The room is adequate for short stay and even has separate air conditioning. Overall, a great place that I would definitely go back to in future.

The location is as said in the description, 10min walk from the closest station, while expect problems at weekends on the best train L going to manhattan. Other than that, very comfortable bed and living room, also helpful neighbors if you have problems finding the key.

Jun 27, 2019Very nice place, even better than expected. The home is nicely furnished, modern, clean, and quiet. You have a bedroom to yourself and Ruben respects your privacy. The description is good, but you might be interested in a few more details... The building appears to house about 3 apartments (1 on each floor). You'll be on the first floor. The basement has a coin-operated washer and dryer for us by each apt. in the building. Very convenient! I really liked Bushwick. The neighborhood seems "real". Perhaps less pretentious than some of the more fashionable neighborhoods. The neighborhood seems friendly and homey, with a sense of community. There is at least one 24-hour deli/grill/grocery about a block away. Bars, coffee shops and stores can be found up and down Wilson Ave. (a few steps over from the apt.).

Jun 27, 2019Fantastic host; Ruben is a really chill guy who has a beautiful home. Super super clean and Ruben is extremely flexible with the timings. Friendly, interactive. The apartment is a treat to your eyes- so artistic and beautiful. A 10-12 minute walk to the closest subway and you're set. Close to many cool spots and convenient stores. Highlyyyy recommended if you want to feel home away from home :)

Jun 27, 2019Great apartment! Quick walk to the subway. Takes 45ish minutes (or more) to get to Manhattan, so keep that in mind if you plan on spending more time than not in Manhattan- but the subway is all a part of the experience!

Jun 27, 2019Ruben's place is super comfortable, quiet and clean. A cool apartment with good vibes! The bedroom is spacious with a desk and lots of closet & drawer space — and a very comfortable bed with nice linens and lots of pillows. Also, the bathroom and kitchen are spacious with many amenities + lots of AC, making the apartment temperature perfect. Check-in is easy and convenient. It is a pleasant and safe neighbourhood…about a ten-minute walk to the J, M and L trains, and quick convenient walks to neighbourhood cafes and restaurants. An amazing deal — I would look forward to staying again!

The apartment felt very homey and the bed was super comfortable! I slept like a baby each night. The apartment was also spotless! Although I didn’t run into Ruben too often because of my schedule, when we did it was very pleasant. Totally recommended!

Although we only saw each other once, Ruben was very quick to answer any questions I had and was very accommodating when I asked to check in early, as well as to check out a bit later. I felt safe walking at night, and the M and L trains are just a few blocks over!! Definitely recommend.

Even though I didn’t get a chance to meet him during the stay, his caring through out the text was very warm. Ruben’s place is about 10-15 mins walk to M train, which the one straight to Manhattan.

Near enough to my daughter, near enough to hike to subway, a long block from amenities like restaurants, corner convenient store, etc yet the neighborhood was quiet. I'll be recommending it to my other family when they visit our NYC girl. Ruben is extremely pleasant, we hardly saw each other as we both came and went so it was almost like having my own apartment in Brooklyn :-).
Jun 27, 2019PROS -Reuben is responsive through the app. He’s also a cool person to chat with. -Despite being near a school, several smaller restaurants, and small grocery stores, the neighborhood is generally quiet. -There’s a washer/dryer in the basement. -There’s a bus around the corner. There are other bus lines within six blocks. Within a 6-12 block radius, there are two or three train lines. Cons: -There are neighbors above that can be noisy (at least during my stay they were active). -The basement where the washer/dryer are is dark. Also, they washer/dryer is coin operated and there aren’t banks nearby. You have to hope that one of the supermarkets/bodegas give you change or come prepared. -Buses and trains require some transferring and walking. Getting into the more popular parts of Brooklyn or Manhattan aren’t very easy, especially at night or during the weekend when there are service changes. -I didn’t feel comfortable walking around the neighborhood past 5 or 6. -I recommend driving or ubering if you’re in this area.
