Raul was a great host! The flat is beautiful! Great location! Raul showed all The places to visit, transports...everything you need to have a great stay in Oporto! You have everything you need nearby and you can go everywhere by foot from the apartment! Definitly a place to stay when other friends come to visit the city!

The flat is also awesome, with everything you need for a great stay in Oprto center. The icing on the cake is the terrace on the top floor, where you can enjoy a delicious Port Wine glass. We recommanded absolutely the stay there!
Jun 27, 2019We had a perfect stay at Raul' apartment and the last day we did not want to leave! The apartment was perfect in every possible way: close to the city center (everything is close in Porto), VERY clean, great bed, shower, kitchen, etc. etc. The private upper terrace is just lovely, above all at sunset. I would definitely recommend staying here to everyone and I will stay here again if I come back to beautiful Porto. Also, you can park your car in the door of the building for free during your stay. Raul was really helpful and he is there to greet you personally, his service is incredible. He is very knowledgeable and will help you get the most out of your stay in Porto. Raul has thought of everything from toiletries to cold beers in the fridge. Really, really nice! Oh and he also speaks Spanish perfectly! Also, don’t forget ask him about francesinhas! Jun 27, 2019What a wonderful studio! The highlight is the staircase in the middle of the room that takes you to the spacious 50 square meter terrace, with even an outdoor shower. The location was perfect, close to the Douro and the famous Torre dos Clérigos just in front of the door. Raul was very helpful and made sure our stay was perfect!
Jun 27, 2019Werkelijk een fantastisch mooi en smaakvol ingericht appartement op een toplokatie in Porto. Het is in een oud gebouw op de hoogste verdieping (ruim traphuis, geen lift) maar helemaal modern opgeknapt en nog steeds met enkele oude details. Het dakterras is de kers op de taart, echt fantastisch mooi aangelegd met houten vlonders en kunstgras en een panoramisch uitzicht over de stad inclusief de Douro en de Vila Nova de Gaia. Voldoende restaurants, winkels en bars op loopafstand. Belangrijke bushalte praktisch voor de deur, metro 5 tot 10 minuten lopen. Raul is ook een aardige en zeer informatieve gastheer en reageert zeer snel op emails en smsen. Ideaal appartement voor 2 personen, partners of zeer goede vrienden want het is een studio, dus alles in één ruime ruimte. Volgende keer Porto verblijf ik zeker weer hier als het appartement beschikbaar is.
Jun 27, 2019Raul is a fantastic host who can tell you all the best places to visit and more importantly to eat, especially francesinha. The apartment was immaculate with all the comforts one needs. The location is fantastic with everything well within walking distance. Bonus points for being right across the street from O Melhor Bolo de Chocolate do Mundo! The hidden gem of Raul's apartment is the rooftop terrace where one can relax on lawn chairs and stare off at the Porto skyline as the sun sets and you enjoy a fine glass of Port wine to finish off your night. L'appartement était très propre et confortable, assez bien agencé avec toutes les fournitures nécessaires à un agréable séjour. Evidemment, la terrasse sur le toit est un "must" que nous avons beaucoup apprécié avec une vue panoramique sur les environs de Porto. L'environnement est plutôt tranquille. La ville, très pittoresque et pleine de surprise, est facile à visiter à pieds depuis l'appartement. Raul , qui parle très bien en anglais et en français, nous a très sympathiquement reçu et nous a donné beaucoup d'informations sur la ville. Nous avons apprécié sa disponibilité et sa gentillesse.

Jun 27, 2019Nous avons passé un excellent séjour et découvert une ville charmante et attachante. Raoul nous a particulièrement bien reçus et conseillés. L'appartement est idéalement situé, très bien aménagé, les équipements de très bonne qualité et neufs et ... la terrasse est tout simplement superbe : c'est un réel "plus" ; on y découvre une vue à 360° et l'apéro de fin de journée y prend une toute autre saveur ... Jun 27, 2019Raul is a great host making sure everything is super ready for your stay. The apartment was very well furnished with all the accessories you would need for either a quick visit or staying one or two weeks with some nights easily spent at the apartment enjoying one of the many available cable channels, dvd movies, board games or even websurfing with a great dsl connection. The apartment is great for a couple although it can accommodate 2 more people if really needed. There is a terrace above that is simply amazing in the morning or late afternoon with its stunning views over the River Douro and Alfandega neighbourhood, shower and a relaxing area where you can either lie down or sit with friends. Location could not be better, right in the center of beautiful Porto with the main trendy bars and casual nightlife area 200m away. Also the area is well connected with bus, tram and train to take you to other parts of the city. I would definitely recommend this option for a stay exploring Porto. Raul is a welcoming host who likes to make you feel comfortable and be sure you'll explore the best places in town, giving you some recommendations right at the start, a map, a timeout guide to explore and the traditional Portuguese hospitality! He recommended some places to go for a walk, where to have dinner, etc. The situation of the apartment was perfect and every detail in it was thought, two welcome beers and even the torch for the roof terrace, awesome! We really enjoyed it and recommend it. We’ll go back again for sure.

Jun 27, 2019Hi, We had a wonderful stay at Raul's flat. It was my first time using AirBNB and the experience was brilliant. Raul, was welcoming, organised and very helpful. The flat is as good if not better than the photos which you can see. It is amazing to have the outside terrace and space with fabulous views of the city. The location is perfect, next to downtown porto but only 5 euros to the coast. There is also a wonderful little resturant opposite which has just opened... cute bistro place with tapas to die for...... Everything worked was super comfortable... This was my second time to Porto and if you are wondering where to stay you can not go wrong with this little gem. Have fun. Jo
Jun 27, 2019Raul's Studio is as impeccable, light, wonderful, spotlessly clean, comfortable and complete as on the photos and in a beautiful historic building. Above all it's situated on an 'A' location to stroll and discover Porto on foot. And there is this lovely little tapas restaurant right across the street, very good food and friendly hosts. Raul really thought of everything you might possibly need. The perfect host, very welcoming and helpful. Unfortunately the weather was not good enough (January) to enjoy the amazing view on the terrace, we have to come back. Next time in Porto we know where to go! Thx Raul.

Très bien situé, nous avons pu visiter le centre historique à pied. Raul est très accueillant et sympathique, et répond très rapidement aux mails.

Jun 27, 2019Our experience at Raul's apartment was wonderful and I would 100% recommend his place and I would return in an instant. 1. Location is perfect, you can walk everywhere and the nearby tower (Torre de Clerigos) is a great landmark to help you find your way home at the end of the day. 2. The apartment is equipped with everything you can possibly need, Raul has thought of anything a traveler may need, from a Porto guidebook, an adapter, an umbrella (which we made good use of!) hair dryer, coffee maker, extra blankets and towels etc. 3. This is possibly the cleanest and tidiest apartment I have ever seen. Everything was beautifully set up, so clean, new and shiny! Yet the place has character and is well decorated. As other reviews mentioned, the rooftop terrace is beautiful if it does not rain your entire trip of course! The apartment is very bright with lots of natural light and plenty of space to put your belongings and your suitcases. You could easily have three or four people stay here and still have room. 4. The bed is very comfortable, and the bedding seemed new and even the towels smelled great! 5. Raul is such a kind, helpful host, he helped us with the purchase of train tickets prior to our arrival, immediately answered any questions we had and even had Portuguese beer waiting for us in the fridge. He helped us get our bearings on a map and recommended many places too. Could not think of a nicer host! 6. Things to be aware of depending on your circumstances; there is no elevator in the apartment building (you may need a hotel if this is an issue) and the hot water is not endless (as we are used to in some countries). The apartment is quiet in regards to street noise etc, however there are very noisy seagulls right by the windows. We used our earplugs so we were fine. We did want to shoot the seagulls by the last day though! They seem to never sleep.... In conclusion, despite the seagulls and short showers we LOVED our stay here. Don't even hesitate and just book Raul's place!

Jun 27, 2019Raul was awesome. Was waiting for us at the apartment when we arrived (via very detailed and simple directions from Raul). Showed us all the features of the unit, highlighted by the fantastic rooftop deck and provided us with lots of very good information about Porto. Most of all he made sure we tried the famous franceshina. They're even better than they sound. Overall the place exceeded our expectations. Both Raul and Porto are awesome!

Jun 27, 2019My husband and I stayed for a week in Porto. Raul was very helpful and easy to reach before and during the trip. He was also very accommodating with our arrival and departure. The apartment is wonderful, the terrace is amazing and the view is beautiful. The location is perfect, close enough to the center, yet far enough so it wasn't noisy at night. everything is within walking distance. The apartment has everything one would need, including umbrella and a converter so we could use our American phones and cameras. I would definitely return there. We had amazing time.

Jun 27, 2019We spent a marvellous weekend in Porto. Raul's place is fantastically located near the historical center as well as the streets where it "happens at night". But still very quiet and with a gorgeous view, especially from the breathtaking terrasse located on the roof top. The appartment is fully furnished, modern and clean. The stairs, in the middle of the room, makes the flat very original and unique. Raul behaved on a very friendly way when we arrived and gave us all the informations required for our stay. $ A very nice, charming and unique place to stay in Porto.

Jun 27, 2019We stayed at Rauls apartment for 4 days, and we loved it. When we arrived Raul was already waiting for us giving us a warm welcome. He gave us a brief introduction to all the basic things in the apartment and took the time marking places on a map where we should go out for dinner and drinks. The apartment ist just amazing, located in the beautiful old town of Porto. Very clean and in good style. The rooftop terrace is second to none. A fantastic view over the river and the famous portwine cellars. We can highly recommend Rauls place, it hast all the amenities you need (even a hairdryer :-) ) Cheers Melanie & Alex

Nous avons été superbement reçu par Raul qui a pris le temps de tout nous présenter, de nous donner des conseils et de nous parler de sa ville et tout ça avec le sourire. Probablement un des meilleurs hôte que j'ai pu voir et très conciliant sur les horaires d'arrivée et de sortie. L'appartement est encore mieux que sur les photos et si vous le choisissez vous ferez le bon choix, à pied on est à proximité de tout et tout se fait très facilement. L'appartement est calme, en trois jours pas de bruit. Le grand plus c'est évidemment la terrasse sur le toit qui donne une touche d'extraordinaire à cette expérience.

Even when it came to problems (airline lost baggage) he never hesitated to help us out as much as possible. The apartment itself was perfect for 2 persons and the terrace amazing (due to the nice weather). Nothing to complain about regarding the cleanness or the interior either. We will be back!
Jun 27, 2019We had a wonderful time in Raul's Flat. The geographic position is just perfect, between the old city and the new commercial one. Easy to move from one desire to another. The area is quiet, flat is design and perfectly clean and the terrace is just the perfect place to relax after a day walking in the area. The equipment is large enough to spend a whole week just feeling at home. Raul was just perfectly friendly and gave us good advices to have a good time in Porto. I'll recommend it to my friends and family ! Thank you Raul !
Jun 27, 2019Raul is possibly the best host you can find in Portugal. His place was very stylish and cosy. The terrace is just incredible. Apartment was very clean and Raul thought of each and every small detail to make you feel comfortable; from Dvd movies to cold beers to welcome you. He explained us where to go, what to eat, the best routes and everything about Porto for at least an hour. He alse called us a taxi early in the morning. His place is very well located. Don't even hesitate to book Raul's apartment if you're visiting Porto. Thank you very much Raul!

Il nous attendais lors de notre arrivée, il a été très chaleureux, nous a présenté l'appartement et sa superbe terrasse. Il correspondait tout à fait au descriptif (décoré avec goût, calme, très bien équipé notamment une literie de qualité et joui d'une situation centrale). Raul a pris le temps de nous conseiller les lieux incontournables et nous a donné ses meilleures adresses de restaurants, bars, caves à Porto, shopping. Nous les avons toutes testées.

Jul 27, 2019We had a great stay in Porto also thanks to the very warm welcome of Raul, who had very helpful hints for us concerning his hometown, the most important sights, good places to eat etc. The flat is also awesome. Well equipped with a wonderful terrace and view over the city and the river. And there is a bakery next door, so best possibilities for having pasteis de nata every morning.. ;) All in all: go there; you'll have a very good time!

Jun 27, 2019Raul avait réservé notre taxi depuis l'aéroport et nous attendait devant l'immeuble.Le logement comme décrit , était dans le quartier historique de Porto à 2 pas des commerces et des monuments. Lors de notre arrivée dans l'appartement tout était conforme aux photos.Raul nous a guidé à travers le plan , pour trouver les commerces , les transports et les restaurants . Des boissons étaient dans le réfrigérateur ce qui est appréciable. Rien ne manque dans l'appartement tout est neuf propre, et la terrasse vraiment un plus nous avons même manger dessus un 30/11.. Je conseille vivement cet appartement car très agréable et surtout bien placé!! Merci à Raul pour sa disponibilité, sa gentillesse, sa rapidité à répondre aux mails. kti

Jun 27, 2019Raul is an amazing host. I spent 5 days in Porto, at Raul’s apartment. He left the letter & maps and gave me great advice on places to see and nice restaurants in Porto. And Raul promptly responded if I had any questions. His apartment is perfect : it is quiet, modern, clean, functional and everything you might need. The bed was comfortable, terrace was wonderful! The apartment is exactly how it looks in the pictures. It's ideally situated in the center of the city, at walking distance from the Ponte Luis I, Livraria Lello, Avenida dos Aliados, many viewpoints(maybe Raul will tell you...^^), the metro station, supermarkets, bars&restaurants. Strongly recommended ! I don't hesitate to say that this was the best accommodation expeience that I have ever stayed! Thanks a lot Raul!!
Jun 27, 2019Me and my boyfriend stayed in the apartment for one week and that's really a great memory for us. The apartment is located in an excellent location which takes only 3 mins walk from the centre, easy to get to any famous location just by walking. The environment is very quiet, leisure, and with a lot of restaurants around. What's more: Our host is a super great guy! Talking about the apartment, it is exactly as what is shown and personally, it is much more beautiful that the picture, the view of the terrace was amazing, as a astronomy lover, I am sure the night view will definitely give you a unforgettable experience. The apartment is clean and there are many windows which allow sunshine to get into the home. The cooking equipments are great and possible for us to cook any kind of food. The wifi is very fast and covers the whole place. Overall, despite the hot water is not enough for us to take a long shower, this apartment meets every needs we asked for. In the communication with our host, Raul, it is effective and I can always get instant feed back. I really appreciate Raul, who explain everything in detail and create such a wonderful place. Il a eu l'extrême gentillesse de venir à notre rencontre car nous étions totalement perdus car on s'était trompés de sortie sur l'autoroute ! Son studio est très grand (environ 80 mètres carrés ?) lumineux, original, très propre, jouit d'une belle vue. La décoration est très soignée, c'était son appartement personnel avant qu'il se marie Il y a une épicerie à deux pas, des cafés et des restos tout près. Attention supplémentaire, eau minerale et bières avaient été mis au frais. Quand on arrive tard, fatigué, on apprécie d'avoir de quoi se faire un café (dosettes) ou du thé, de pouvoir laver son linge (et de le sécher dans la foulée) Notre meilleure adresse airbnb à ce jour. Impression d'être reçus chez un ami.

Quant à l'appartement, il est très propre, tout équipé (comme si on dormait chez des amis), et la terrasse est exceptionnelle!! Il nous aussi indiquée leur localisation à partir de la terrasse... Il a eue la délicatesse de nous laisser des rafraîchissements au frigo... De plus, dans la première semaine de notre séjour, Raul a communiqué avec nous pour savoir si tout allait bien... Nos avons gardé le contact par SMS et nous avons reçue des réponses quasi immédiates à nos interrogations... L'appartement était tel que mentionné sur l'annonce, le lit confortable et, le tout, d'une propreté impeccable... Les sites à visiter étaient à proximité et les transports en commun très efficaces... L'emplacement est idéal pour visiter la vieille ville de Porto, tout peut pratiquement se faire à pied mais prévoyez de bonnes baskets, les rues de Porto sont très escarpées. En tout cas l'appartement est splendide, très lumineux et vraiment fonctionnel... Petit bonus, la "cantine" San Antonio en bas de la rue, qui fait de la bonne cuisine locale et pas chère!! The reception was very nice and warm and you had already given us so many advices - we had a great time! The apartment is absolutely wonderful, luxury and situated within the historic center. It was a pity that we could nearly use the wonderful roof terrace, because of the 3 days is was raining 2 1/2 ... :-( But this has not been your fault! Il n'a pas pu nous accueillir et s'en était excusé auparavant -il avait délégué son frère qui nous a gentiment présenté l'appartement- et nous avait laissé un mot avec quelques conseils et coups de cœur. L'appartement est fort bien équipé (y compris en produits de première nécessité), très agréable à vivre, lumineux, et très central (sans être bruyant). La terrasse est un vrai plus ! Merci Raoul....

And his flat as well :-) Seriously: excellent location, beautiful flat, near the highest point in Porto so excellent - no - *breathtaking* views from the roof terrace. Plenty of space for 2 people, even modcons like a washing machine. But it was the personal touch that really differentiates Raul. Available to our schedule, extremely helpful and took the time to annotate a map of all the worthwhile sites as well as his personal eating recommendations (worth following, very good!). This was the killer move: I asked him when we booked if he had any way of making an iphone connect to a stereo so we could listen to music, exchanged a few emails at the time and left it at that. When we arrived he showed me the brand new bluetooth portable speakers he'd specially bought for us! (They also work really well have great bass sounds for such small speakers). Such hosts should be singled out for special awards in my opinion. We would come back tomorrow if I could!

Raul has thought of every detail to make your stay at his studio perfect. When we got there he gave us a map of the city, explained how to get to the main sights and even suggested some local favorite spots and restaurants. We would definitely stay there again!

Raul was able to recommend his favorite cafes, restaurants and sights that were 'must sees' during our visit. His apartment is in a great location and was exactly what we were looking for. Large windows kept the apartment full of light and cool in the heat of the day. The terrace is the best part of the apartment with great views of the city!

L appartement est très bien placé , très propre et fonctionnel. Le plus de cette location est la terrasse avec une belle vue, pour prendre le petit déjeuner et le soir après avoir marché dans la ville. Tout était parfait. Proche de tous les commerces, cafés et restaurants. Wifi fonctionne très bien.

There were four of us and we felt there was plenty of room, it certainly wasn't a shoe box studio. Raul was kind enough to provide us with detailed directions to the flat, as well as meeting us on arrival and suggesting different places to visit and eat at. All of which were amazing ! I would 100% recommend staying here!

Arrival was no problem, he was there to greet us, help us with our bags, show us around the amazingly well equipped apartment, and give us a map marking all the best places to visit. The apartment itself is perfect. Location is great, the rooftop and view is amazing, and the decor is new, very clean and tasteful. Everything you could think of is there - not only the standard things, but the finer details like bluetooth mini-loudspeaker, sun chairs, coffee machine with capsules, dishwasher & washing machine with detergent, shampoo, sunscreen, herbs & olive oil etc etc. We would happily return! It's an easy walk to everywhere and the apartment was very well equipped and of course had the wonderful roof terrace... great views and being south facing gets lots of sun. Raul himself was a brilliant host. He was kind enough to pick us up from the airport as we were arriving very late and he gave us lots of information about the best places to go and how best to get about. Couldn't recommend him or his apartment highly enough.

Raul is a friendly guy that provides you with all the info you need on porto. Apartment is fully equiped. Superb terrace with nice views on the city. Only point of criticism: buy abigger cover for the matress. If you lie on this one with two persons, it keeps flipping off. Otherwise very good place to visit porto.

Raul met us at the apt with a smile, helped us with luggage, and explained everything to us about the apt, surrounding area, and the beautiful city of Porto. We felt right at home immediately. In fact we invited some people we met on a tour for wine and appetizers up on the rooftop deck, we felt like it was our own (Website hidden by Airbnb) proud. Raul was always available via email and very responsive. Location fantastic. And we certainly got our exercise walking up the stairs to the apt, and the streets of Porto. He took the time out to show me on a large map where all the cool stuff was and instructions on how to get to these places easily. The apartment is very modern and cool, comfortable with a good shower tank, and a rooftop terrace to boot. Fantastic. Would stay there again next time I am in Porto, and recomend to anyone looking for a great host.

L'appartement est à la fois très bien situé, près du centre mais au calme. Il était très bien équipé pour nous trois (un couple + un enfant de quatre ans). Nous avons même pu profiter du toit terrasse et de sa superbe vue lors de notre week-end en décembre. Nous recommandons vivement cet endroit et son charmant propriétaire pour un séjour à Porto. :-)

Lage: - Die Lage ist super. - Es ist ruhig und nachts hört man kaum etwas von der Straße. - Zu Fuß sind die meisten Sehenswürdigkeiten und gute Restaurants in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. - Für alle, die nicht kochen wollen, gibt es unten im Haus ein Cafe, in dem man günstig frühstücken aber auch zu Mittag essen kann. Jun 27, 2019This appartment was absolutely perfect for our trip. It is located close to everything you need: all the sights in Porto, several metro stations and to the river as well. Inside the appartment you found all you could need in any way. From the terasse you had an absolutely stunning view at the River Douro and where you could enjoy sunsets and sunrises. At our arrival, Raul was there to explain all from the appartment and he gave us many tips about what wo do and what to see in Porto. He responded always very quick and helped us too to organise a taxi to get to the airport early in the morning. And he sended us before our trip perfect informations how to get there! We can truly recommend you the appartment! If we will go to Porto again, we will definitely go to Rauls appartment again! :)

Jun 27, 2019De communicatie via e-mail met deze verhuurder was meteen perfect. Goede tips over gebruik OV en een goede beschrijving om bij de locatie te komen. De ontvangst was hartelijk inclusief een welkomstdrankje, goede uitleg over de woning en de apparatuur in huis, inclusief goede tips voor de bezienswaardigheden. De ligging is perfect, vlak bij het fotografie museum en vlak bij het paleis van justitie ( met pin- automaat.) De studio is recent verbouwd, dus alles is anno nu. Mooi stucwerk, functionele keuken met vaatwasser. Het bed slaapt heerlijk, en van de omgeving hebben we weinig gehoord. De studio hebben we superschoon aangetroffen, en alles is aanwezig, zoals stofzuiger en andere schoonmaakhulpen. ( we misten een trekkertje om de douchedeur droog te maken, maar wie doet dit?) De houten luiken dienen als gordijn, waardoor je iets langer neigt door te slapen omdat het daglicht zich nauwelijks laat zien. Het is heerlijk om na een forse stadswandeling boven op het dakterras in het zonnetje te relaxen!!! Heel bijzonder bij deze studio. De trap naar het dakterras vereist de nodige voorzichtigheid, maar dat spreekt eigenlijk voor zich. De studio bevindt zich tussen 2 kleine winkeltjes met levensmiddelen, dus voor kleine boodschapjes hoef je niet ver te lopen. In de straat zelf zijn 3 restaurantjes te vinden. In Porto spreken velen goed Engels, en zeker in de horeca kan je met de Engelse taal goed uit de voeten.. Heeft de studio ook nadelen? Nee, eigenlijk niet. Als we weer een bezoek zouden brengen aan Porto zouden we weer deze studio willen huren. Ook bij vrienden/kennissen zullen we dit appartement aanraden. Belangrijk bij een bezoek aan Porto zijn je schoenen. neem goede wandelschoenen mee, want de straten zijn vaak steil, en de trappen zijn lang. Een cave bezoeken is een absolute must. Wij hebben het porthuis van Ferreira bezocht, op advies van de verhuurder. Wij hebben ervoor gekozen om ook een middag te fietsen langs de rivier, naar het strand. We hebben gegeten in matosinhos, waar de barbeques gewoon op straat staan ( leuke belevenis ) De fietsen hebben wij gehuurd bij Vieguini, we werden goed geholpen! Kortom, Porto is veelzijdig, gastvrij en leuk om te doen en de studio is geweldig!

Un chauffeur privé nous attendait à l aéroport et Raul nous avait également mis à disposition au frais 2 bouteilles d'eau et 2 superbock. L'appartement est très bien situé. Tout est à proximité et le rooftop est superbe. Attention tout de même aux mouettes qui sont sur les toits voisins. Éviter damener à manger sur le toit ;) Raul a été de très bons conseils. En résumé parfait !

Also liked the location - quiet but with many city sights within easy walking distance. Pleasantly surprised to find several good small eateries very close by, although some need reservations at weekends if you want to get in.

His restaurant recommendations and ideas of how to spend our time were also great and much appreciated. This was our first experience of using Airbnb and I hope it's always this amazing. Jun 27, 2019We had a great time in Rauls modern apartment in a renovated townhouse. The view from the terrace ist amazing. The apartment has all amenities you need for self catering but of course there are many of really nice restaurants around, alone two in the same street! It is situated in walking distance of Portos attractions which Raul kindly showed us on the map at our arrival. There are plenty of stairs to climb if you want to reach the top, perhaps bear this in mind if you are a bit infirm ;-)

But the best is when you access to the roof and you are on the top of Porto. You feel there just "special". No many people can have something like that. Very very recommended to come and enjoy Porto. It has every amenity that you will need on your travels. Lots of small markets to purchase food if you want to cook at home. Raul took the time to go over Porto with us. Jun 27, 2019This is the perfect place to enjoy a fantastic holiday! We would definitely recommend it and would revisit. We stayed for one week whilst on our 'mini-moon'! From the first time I contacted Raul, before booking, he was polite, helpful and really friendly. Raul was more than happy to answer any questions proir to our stay and when we arrived he was the perfect host! We cannot sing his praises enough! As for the apartment it has everything you need; it is modern and clean which for us is very important. Although it is a studio apartment, it doesn't feel small as the kitchen has everything a large kitchen has (microwave, cooker, dishwasher, toaster, coffee maker etc). The wifi was really strong and the TV has lots of channels (English and Portuguese) and a DVD player with a few DVDs provided but you could bring your own. The bed was really comfortable with a selection of pillows. The best feature has to be the roof terrace, wow what a view! It has table and chairs, along with sun loungers and a shower. The location is perfect too, it is minutes walk from shops, cafes, restaurants and tourist attractions. It is nice and quiet at night as it isn't next to any noisy bars etc, but if you wanted to experience the night life then it isn't far at all. We would recommend Raul, as a host, and his apartment, along with Porto. Thank you for everything Raul :)

Arrived at the apartment, we really liked the furnishing. Very modern. A good taste! Nothing was missing. Very good equipped. There is a lot of space, the high ceilings and big windows give a perfect view and it had everything we needed - comfy bed, extra pillows, great shower. The private rooftop is just stunning - we used it every day. The location is perfect for exploring by foot. Raul met us on arrival and was a wonderful, informative and gracious host. Wir haben schon mehrmals über Airbnb gebucht aber noch niemals war an alles so gedacht wie bei Raúl. Seine Einführung zu Beginn unseres Aufenthaltes in die Wohnung und die Stadt war einfach großartig. Nicht zu toppen an der Wohnung ist vor allem die Dachterrasse. Bei schönem Wetter macht sie es sehr schwierig überhaupt die Wohnung zu verlassen :)! Hoch verdiente 5 Sterne!

Jun 27, 2019This flat really is the perfect place from which to explore the city! The roof is clearly a big plus, but the flat itself is also airy, clean and comfortable. The sofa bed is very comfortable to sleep on and little extras like the coffee machine make it. The location of the flat couldn't be better (including lots of great local restaurants), and Raul's city-tips and availability for check in (and general questions on the city!) made a big difference. No need to keep searching, pick this one!

The flat was perfectly clean, we felt at once very confortable in the flat. The view from the terass is a must, it almost made us forget to visit the city ;-). Raul gave us nice hints for visits and places to eat or go out. Don't resist, just book the flat! :)

Roof top terrace great for breakfast and despite occasional rain we (2 of us) enjoyed our stay very much. Great explanation by the host of the area and connections. Towels, soap, shower gel, coffee, tea, fridge etc all provided in the room. Highly recommended!!! Thanks very much!
Jun 27, 2019Raul's apartment was fantastic. It was our first time in Porto and the apartment made a perfect base to explore the beautiful city. Everything is within easy walking distance (although some roads are steeper than others!) and you're right in the heart of the historic part of town. The apartment itself was clean, cool and had everything we needed - from an iron and hairdryer to a portable speaker and coffee machine. The pictures of the roof terrace don't quite do it justice, it has amazing views and we were lucky enough to have great weather so spent a lot of time up there. Really great addition to the apartment. Raul was super friendly and helpful upon our arrival, allowing us to drop our bags off before check in so we could get out and explore. He also gave us a whole load of recommendations for restaurants and things to do, and all those we had time to try didn't disappoint. He made us feel really welcome and made our stay all the better.
Jun 27, 2019Die Unterkunft ist spitze. Schon die malerische Lage mit Blick über die Altstadt von Porto bis zum Meer ist traumhaft. Mit dem Bus vom Airport in kaum einer halben Stunde und die Bushaltestelle keine 10 Minuten von der Wohnung weg, auch als wir um 04.00 Uhr den Bus zum Airport brauchten, kein Problem, nachts fährt er alle Stunde ab. Direkt vor der Haustüre ein super Bäcker und ein kleiner Kaufladen - perfekt für ein frühes Frühstück ab 06.00 Uhr oder noch für den Abend einen Käse und eine Flasche Rotwein. Raul ist super pünktlich und das Ein-/Auschecken war unkompliziert. Tolle Hinweise und persönliche Tips von Raul und er ist auch für Rückfragen immer und gerne bereit - einfach toller Gastgeber. Wir kommen sicher wieder und haben auch schon unseren eigenen Kindern und Bekannten die Wohnung dringend empfohlen.

Die Lage in der Altstadt (nahe der Universität!) ist für Stadtbummel und Besichtigungen ideal. Jun 27, 2019Raul's flat is even better then described. He is a kind host, and he gave us some helpful tipps to discover the city. Also the communication between us was always friendly and he replies very quickly. ( We have forgotten a jacket in the flat and Raul managed the shipping immediately) The flat is more than well equipt, there was for example enough toilet paper, kitchen towels, garbage bags and so on which was quiet nice because the next bigger supermarket is 10min walking distance. The flat looks as good as on the pictures but the roof terrace is amazing and definetely a highlight! Raul's flat is easily to reccomend for your trip to Porto!

Jun 27, 2019Raul's place is nothing short of stunning. The apartment is spotless, very well-equipped and maintained, and feels a lot larger than its dimensions due to 3 huge windows which let in abundant natural light. The flat also features super high ceilings and some gorgeous inlaid stonework in the walls - it felt like living in a loft. I was instantly comfortable. The roof deck, of course, speaks for itself. You'll watch the sunset over the Atlantic every night, a unique experience that I didn't see mentioned in any of the other reviews for this place and which I was truly not expecting. The views of the river and the opposite bank are second to none. The place is situated in a lovely neighborhood just apart from the tourist hordes of Ribeira. I found myself sharing the sidewalks with true Porto natives rather than tourbus riders with selfie sticks. And there are some absolutely wonderful little restaurants and tapisco joints just steps down from your front door. The rest of this lovely city is immediately walkable beyond there. And of course the best part is having the opportunity to meet Raul, a thoroughly delightful and professional host who takes such evident pride in the apartment. As far as I'm concerned he's the gold standard for AirBnB hosts. I've had the great good luck to staying some truly phenomenal AirBnB places over the years - and I have to say that Raul's apartment now sits at the very top of that list.

He is very knowledgeable when it comes to Porto and all the things it has to offer. The space is just as described and the rooftop terrace is amazing. I would definitely recommend staying here and if I ever return, I'll be contacting Raul for sure.

C'est propre, bien équipé avec tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour passer un séjour confortable et pouvoir profiter pleinement de chaque moment passé au logement ou à visiter les alentours. Vous pouvez tout faire à pied et c'est absolument magnifique. Le lit est confortable, la cuisine fonctionnelle, les explications de Raul sont claires et pratiques, la terrasse sur le toit est magnifique. Rarement je pense retourner au même endroit puisque j'aime découvrir du nouveau, mais cette fois je crois bien que lorsque je retournerai à Porto ce sera à l'appartement de Raul! Merci pour tout!!!!

Jun 27, 2019From the first second onwards I started to really like Raul and his lovely (Website hidden by Airbnb) flat is everything one needs and taking into consideration the balcony it is far more than that.The view and the high walls inside are outstanding.On top of that,I rarely got to know a host who is that well organized and always on the phone or in the near when having any issues.The perfect place to stay in Porto!

The apartment was imbeccably clean and the panoramic rooftop view does not disappoint. Good hot water and kitchen, and a comfortable bed. Easy access to Clerigos Tower and Porto's night life. About half mile walk to The garden of the crystal palace. Fantastic stay.

The flat was clean, in a good location, and the roof top terrace was a great place to sit and enjoy the sunset. We would stay here again or in another property of Raul’s.

Jun 27, 2019I liked Rauls apartment that much that when I came to Porto a second time I couldnt think of another place to stay. Everything was as great as during my first stay- the furniture and decoration is very well-chosen, and the kitchen/bathroom has all the equipment that is needed. Also the washing machine can be very handy in case of a longer stay. The greatest advantage of that apartment is surely the rooftop.Usually I am not a very romantic person,but with that view I couldnt resist to watch the sunrise and the sunset as often as I could make it :) Last but not least any communication with Raul could not be easier and quicker.For me it is still the best place to stay in that fabulous city.

Located in a quiet neighbourhood that is five minutes walk to subway station, train station, downtown and waterfront. Raul has provided every amenity thinkable, making our stay always a perfect one. This was our fourth time renting his apartment and we will come back again next time!

Raul met us for check-in, he is so kind and gave us great advice on how to best enjoy the city. The location couldn't be better, the bed was very comfortable, and the space has everything you'll need. We highly recommend wandering around the neighborhood and finding some cute local places to eat and drink. The roof deck is also amazing, even in the rain!
Jun 27, 2019The apartment was just as described. It was clean, neat, stylish, and in a great location. Everything worked and the kitchen contained the basics we needed. It was great to have a washing machine too. Raul was very friendly and helpful with directions and where to park. He also provided great tips on restaurants. Just down the hill, Taberna Santo Antonio, was outstanding and so reasonably priced. We stopped by at lunch time to reserve a table for dinner because it gets very busy and is small . The apartment location was great for touring Porto. We walked (or climbed) everywhere from the apartment. The roof deck is really cool too - especially to watch sunsets. There is also a small market a few doors down and a couple of cafes just downstairs. The huge windows were amazing for views. We used a small fan at night to keep the air cool at night - it worked out just fine in April. The apartment may be warm in the summer months. We would definitely recommend the apartment to anyone visiting Porto!

It is walking distance to everything in the historic area of Porto. The upstairs balcony is reason enough to stay here, but it was a very comfortable and clean apartment as well. Raul was very flexible on check in time as our flight was delayed. He took time to meet us and give us some great tips for restaurants and sights in Porto. Thank you Raul!

Explored the city all day which is totally doable on foot from this apartment (note: Porto is hilly). Raul's hospitality was exceptional, couldn't recommend highly enough - would happily stay again (wish I was still there!).

Caring and available, he made sure everything was alright throughout our stay and, though unable to welcome us personaly, was very (very) careful to our welcoming. He had prepared a map and a short « guide » with his favorite places which proved very useful. His place is perfectly clean, ideally situated (at a 5 minutes walk from the main spots) and his terrace (large with a nice view on the town and the Douro) is definitely the place you want to have a drink on before going to the restaurant for a great « Polvo a lagareiro ». I definitely recommend him as a host.

He gave us suggestions for some great local restaurants, and even circled the must-see attractions on a city map which he had thoughtfully provided himself. He also stocked the fridge with some water, fruit juice, and beer, plus some coffee to get us started. The apartment is lovely, just perfect for two people. And the rooftop and view were a wonderful bonus. We enjoyed a rooftop cocktail each evening before setting out for dinner. We had a rental car, and on Raul's suggestion, found it very easy to park for free in the same street as the apartment. Porto is a very walk-able city, and Raul's apartment is in a perfect location for exploring. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return to Raul's next time we visit Porto.

Die Kommunikation war stets unkompliziert und speditiv. Die Lage der Wohnung sehr zentral und trotzdem ruhig und die Dachterrasse einfach der Hammer. Die Wohnung ist mit liebevollen Details gestaltet und hat sehr viel mediterranen Charme und Stil. Upon our arrival, Raul was warm and welcoming by personally greeting us, and it was obvious that he loves his city. He took the time to give us many great suggestions on how to appreciate local life off of the tourist map. The location is incredible and the rooftop terrace is amazing to watch sunsets. The apartment had everything we could imagine anyone would need as Raul is thoughtful of every detail. Also need to mention that it was very clean on our arrival. We will definitely stay at Raul’s place when we return to Porto!
Jun 27, 2019Great place to stay, bright, spacious, central but quiet. The roof top garden adds an extra living space with wonderful views. (But you need to be steady on your legs to make it up to the roof as steep steps.) The bed is super comfortable and having a washing machine makes traveling easy. Raul went out of his way to ensure we had a great stay and organised alternative transport for us to the train station while the taxis were on strike. A very thoughtful and caring host. Highly recommend Raul’s place!

Jun 27, 2019This place was an absolute gem in Porto. Raul’s space was thoughtfully designed and accommodated a hotel-like experience. He was very detailed and clean which we are very greatful for. It is also an ideal location for anyone who is traveling to Porto for the first time. It’s within walking distance to the Livreria Lello, Clerigós Tower, the Douro River and the most amazing little restaurant around the corner called Taberna Santo António (recommended by Raul). This place was an extension of how amazing our trip was on our first time visiting Porto. I would definitely recommend this place, it was the best Airbnb we have stayed at.
