House Guidelines 1. Please remove your shoes upon entering and make every effort to keep sand and dirt outside. Please use the outdoor shower for rinsing off after a day of hiking or enjoying the beach. 2. Please notify the property manager immediately of any problems with the house so we may quickly address it. 3. Our home is in a residential area. Please be a thoughtful neighbor and keep noise, music, etc. to a minimum between 9:00 pm and 9:00 am. 4. Wrap, store or refrigerate all food and drinks to discourage ants, roaches and mice. 5. Trash should always be bagged tightly in plastic bags and deposited in the trash cans. Trash needs to be taken to the street on Wednesday Night. 6. Please feel free to do laundry while you are here. Washing towels and linens helps out during your stay. 7. This is a non-smoking home. 8. If your home offers air-conditioning. All in all, we had a wonderful stay here. The location is excellent and the room was private and quiet. We had a few bumps with checking in, but Jason the property manager was very quick to fix the problems and follow up with us when finished. FYI- the air conditioners are portable window units, so it can get very hot in the unit rather quickly if not turned on. The kitchen was fully stocked and we were even greeted with tea, cookies, and cold drinks in the fridge. Great amenities like candles, wifi, Netflix, and a double shower head (though the hot water tends to run out very fast that way). We also were directed to download an app which didn't seem entirely necessary (and pretty difficult on an island with limited service), as the same info was found in the confirmation email and by asking Jason for the wifi password. With all that, we'd definitely stay here again if we return to Kauai.

There is a restaurant next door, a place to rent water gear, and amazing snorkeling literally 100 steps from the place! I will definitely come back to Kauai again and hope that this place is available! Thank you!!

It is very clean, has a good kitchen and the location is good, BUT very small, 3rd floor no elevator, no pool, a really noisy air-conditioner that you can't turn off because it gets really hot in minutes. The host did not send the locker combination and did not respond for another 30 minutes, we had to wait. So, not my best experience with Airbnb (
Jun 27, 2019100 steps to Poipu was average. We enjoyed our stay here. Pros: This was a good location to the beach, restaurants, running paths and outdoor activities. The location felt safe; unit was clean; had coffee pods waiting for us to use, and water in the fridge. Cons: we never received a welcome packet, so there was no instructions for entry, internet use, or check out procedures; the AC was off when we arrived and took forever to cool down the unit; the bathroom smelled like sewer, which never diminished; washer and dryer situation was sketchy: one washer was inoperable, the other was partially taken apart; Kahea, the property manager was minimally responsive, and seemed annoyed when contacting her for entry and internet use instructions. Overall, I would say that cost of the stay was a good value.
Jun 27, 2019The location was great - less than 100 steps to beach and very close to a surf shop. Also a 3min drive to the closest shopping center with food and general store. The house was also very clean with enough space for 3 ppl and maybe even more. Good kitchen but there were no cooking essentials - oils etc. Bad part - I didn't know this property is on the 3rd floor and it was a hassle to bring our luggage up. Also, the condo does not have good ventilation so it gets hot very easily. We had to have the AC most of the time which was a bit loud. The property manager also warned us not to use the hair dryer when the ac is on. Besides that, the house had beach chairs, umbrella so it was great to not spend money on that. I liked this place but would have been great to have the disclaimer about the 3rd floor beforehand. Thanks for a great stay!
Jun 27, 2019Worked out ok, very close to the beach. Hated that we were told to download an app. I said I couldn't (or wouldn't) download it and was sent email directions for check-in, internet, etc which was much better. Check-in/internet/check-out was very easy and I didn't have any issues. There were beach towels, beach chairs, a cooler, basics for the kitchen like salt, oil, cooking spray, and a lot of cleaning supplies (we gave the place a once over to keep it neat during our stay and was nice to have all of that available to us). Area was safe, neighbors were friendly and was close to a lot of neat things to walk to. Because of the name we counted the steps and its over 200 steps to the grass park BEFORE the beach for our 5'1 traveler and over 160 steps for our 6'3 traveler and that's is starting counting after you leave the 3rd floor condo and walk down stairs and to the street. We stopped counting at the grass because it wasn't close to 100. :) Personally, I would not stay here again with 4 people because if you are going to the beach a lot there is no good place to hang up wet things to dry out for the next day. Parking is also not a lot of fun if there is a tenant in 8; its just harder to get out. Also, there was no table to eat at with family, just two counters for 2 people to sit at. And there is no coffee maker, there is a keurig but no actual coffee maker (we had two coffee snobs in our group so it mattered to them). Otherwise location was great and if those things (table, coffee maker, and a deck or place to hang wet things) don't matter to you its a great place to stay. I agree with other reviews that is was very very hot/stuffy when we got there. The main room is south facing and gets a lot of sun/heat especially if the windows are closed it gets extra stuffy. We stayed at a different location the week prior to this and it was always nice and cool with no AC. Here we needed the AC for the first 2 days, we tried without it and opening all the windows but the circulation wasn't great. Day 3 we felt we were on top of the stuffiness and in the evening turned it off and worked out great with windows open.

Jun 27, 2019Everything was excellent, thoughtful, and thorough. Best part of all was the brief walk to the beach/park. The condo was very clean and orderly upon arrival, there are AC units in each room, Netflix on the TV, beach towels, beach chairs, fully stocked kitchen utensils, and comfortable beds. We couldn't ask for anything more and had an excellent stay.
Jun 27, 2019The condo was very nice and a good size for our family of five. We were able to fit our pack and play crib easily into the bigger bedroom. It was a plus to have a tv in each room- and they were all equipped with Netflix, etc. it was just down the street from the beach and there is a small convenience store within a short walk. The views were beautiful and there were enough dishes and pots/pans to live and cook comfortably. One drawback was not having a dishwasher- so we had to hand wash everything after each meal. From other reviews, I expected trouble with he A/C. It wasn't a huge issue, but it was definitely very hot and humid by midday and into the night. We had the fans and all three A/C units running and by the middle of the night it was cold- we turned them off in the middle of the night and were comfortable through the morning of the next day. We used the laundry facilities- make sure you have quarters on hand when you go down there. Parking was a little tight as you are in the very last stall and wedged between a car behind and the building to your left- take caution when pulling in and out. We really appreciated the beach gear (umbrella, chairs, towels, cooler) available for guest use! Overall, we were very happy with our stay. My only real complaint Is that Kahea seemed preoccupied and was not good at responding to questions or concerns- we didn't have any major concerns, but if we had, I would have been out of luck. She seems to be unavailable or unwilling to help guests after booking.
Jun 27, 2019We loved our stay, and are sad to leave. The condo is nicer than the photos and the location is amazing. Would stay again!!! Bring snorkel gear because there is great snorkeling just a short walk away!
Jun 27, 2019Excellent value at top notch location. Further from the beach than 100 steps but still really close. The condo was really hot and stuffy when we arrived and it kind of remained that way the whole time we were there but was not a deal breaker. It was updated and clean.
Jun 27, 2019This unit is decorated nicely and is in a good location. We greatly appreciated the use of beach chairs and umbrella. Due to issues such as consistent sewage smell in the bathroom, cockroach issues and ineffective means of cooling the unit I would not stay here again.
Jun 27, 2019Perfect, super close to a white sandy beach for all ages, surfing and restaurants. Still quiet (except for unavoidable roosters) clean, safe and easy. All the things you need. It has AC in all the rooms but we turned it off as soon as we arrived, windows and fans in every room was just what we wanted. So close to the beach you can hear the waves crashing.

Jun 27, 2019Great little condo, would rent again when we go back. All rooms have portable A/C units. No patio, but we truly only slept here, otherwise we were out exploring. Some coffee, beach towel, beach chairs and snorkel gear provided.
Jun 27, 2019Nice place. Perfect for our needs. We stayed with 3 people. Quiet residential location. Walked to very nice beach park Walked to Waiohai resort where other family was staying and is the main reason we chose this place. Walked to Breneke's restaurant too.
Jun 27, 2019This place is a must. Only 2 drawbacks were being on the 3rd floor, and a/c units need to be emptied every 8 hours by the occupant. If you're not home, you come back to a hot house. No other complaints, and everything on the profile was accurate. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Jun 27, 2019A great place to stay, the effort of walking up all those stairs is worth the view. Sitting at the kitchen bench eating breakfast while looking out the window is very relaxing. Being able to walk to the beach is a big plus, the snorkeling is great, and we saw seals and turtles almost every day. Access to the laundry is unreliable. Other top things to do from here are the drive up Weimea Canyon, and kayak up Wailua River with a hike to the Secret Falls. We had a very relaxing week here.
Jun 27, 2019This is an amazing apartment that is truly only steps away from a very nice beach. It was super clean and very well equipped. There is also lots of beach equipment. We called the service company a few times and they were very responsive - for example, they helped us find a great babysitter for our daughter one evening. Would definitely recommend this place!
Jun 27, 2019This place lived up to all the great reviews and more. This was our first time to the Island and I picked this location because it was 100 steps to the beach but ended up getting so much more. The home was clean and inviting. It had A/C and Tv's with internet in every room. The Kitchen had everything you need to cook meals and had a coffee maker and a Keurig. The location is prime and has multiple restaurants you can walk to in 2-10 minutes. We rented a car but after a couple of days driving around came to realize we were on the best part of the Island and stayed at the Condo most the time. The communication with the host was quick and easy. There is a washer and dryer on site and shower to rinse off after you return from the beach. They provided 2 laundry tabs, dish soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, beach towels, towels, and toilet paper. They also had some 2 beach chairs, body boards, snorkel gear and some flippers. You will not be disappointed at all. I think my only caution would be to someone with conditions that would make going up and downs stairs an issue. It is on the 3rd story of the complex but the view out the windows every morning and evening is worth the stairs.
