Our beach cottage is ocean-side, between Three Tables & Waimea Bay on our gated family property. It's behind the main house, but you'll have full access to the front yard facing the rocky coastline & Pacific Ocean, 30 yards away. You’ll love this studio because of how spacious it is; its mountain & ocean views & its convenient location to all things North Shore! This unique 2-level unit is good for couples, solo adventurers, & business travelers, but may not be suitable for toddlers (stairs).
Space
There are beach/ocean/mountain views from every window, and the vaulted ceiling compliments the open floor-plan. Ceiling fans keep it cool during the winter season and an a/c keeps it cool during the hotter summer months. The studio is connected by a breezeway to the owner's home, but is above their main floor, so it feels unattached. The entrance is next to your carport parking stall, and the carpeted stairs takes you upstairs to the living area. The Kitchenette: Apartment refrigerator/freezer, microwave, blender, coffee maker, toaster, and double burner. (No oven) Assortment of pots and pans, dishes, glasses, coffee cups and utensils. Paper towels, dish soap, sponge and dish-towels. Sleeping arrangements: One Queen and one Full-size Pune'e (day bed) with bedding for both. We will make up the Pune'e upon request. Neighborhood Overview
In the summer, we have the best view for the Fourth of July Annual Paddleboard race that starts from Sunset Beach and ends right here in Waimea Bay! From November to May, you can whale-watch from the yard or along the coastline. In the winter, front row seats to spectacular monster waves 20 - 40 feet high!
Notes
There is NO SMOKING in or around the unit. We have designated an area under the tent in the front yard where smoking is allowed if unoccupied. Foodland supermarket is 1/4 mile down the road and has all your grocery and sundry needs, and features a deli and coffee shop. Just around the corner from Foodland and directly across Sharks Cove is a "food court" with food trucks offering everything from shave ice & fish tacos to burgers & sandwiches. The Sea Maids boutiques sell pareos, bikinis, surf trunks, slippers & hats. There are snorkel, surfboard and bike rentals there too!
Transit
Having a rental car is optimal for exploring this island, but the bus system here can take you to Haleiwa, Waikiki, and circle island! Information can be obtained at (URL HIDDEN) The bike path from Three Tables beach will take you all the way to Back Yards, past Sunset Beach. Bike rentals can be found with Joe & Carrie at (URL HIDDEN) | (EMAIL HIDDEN) | (PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) or at the Sea Maids shops at Sharks Cove.
Access
Beach: 3 minute walk - Three Tables to the North, Waimea Bay to the South. Front yard: Grassy yard and covered patio area with tables and chairs. Please join us for our family gatherings on holidays and the weekend! Rocky shoreline: If you have good balance, you may use the wooden stairs along the wall to the rocks. Proceed at own risk! Do NOT access if the waves are big. This shoreline is protected by the Hawaii Marine Life Conservation District, so nothing may be taken... no fish, shells, rocks, seaweed...nothing! Pole fishing is allowed as long as you are casting your line INTO Waimea Bay.

Rules
Hawaiian style: 1) ALL FOOTWEAR STAYS DOWNSTAIRS, on the tiled area. That means shoes, slippers, sandals, flip-flops/thongs (but don't say that in Hawaii, we call 'em SLIPPAHS!), reef-walkers, slip-ons, Crocs, etc. 2) RINSE OFF ALL SAND BEFORE ENTERING THE HOUSE. Chances are, if you survived the pounding shore break at Waimea, you got a load of sand in your bathing suit. This will clog up the plumbing in the shower, so PLEASE leave the sand at the beach or rinse out your suits with the hose before entering the studio. 3) Do not hang beach towels on balcony. DO hang them on the clothesline downstairs. 4) Do not use the white bath towels for food spills, muddy feet or makeup removal, etc. That's what the rags (under the kitchen and bathroom sinks) and black wash towels are for! 5) No extra guests. 6) RESPECT the ocean. NEVER turn your back on her. If in doubt, don't go out. Swim at beaches that have a lifeguard nearby.

Melissa made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. She was very hospitable and was available if we needed, but also left us to our own devices too. We were so impressed with the location and the cleanliness of the property. We will absolutely recommend this property to others!
Jun 27, 2019Melissa is the ultimate host. She provided great pre check in information and met us upon our arrival. The studio was exactly as the pictures on the listing. We had the entire unit which was spacious with a full kitchen to cook meals. The bonus was wonderful cool breezes and ocean sounds. The location is ideal for attending the Van's Triple crown Surfing contests or wanting to be near the North Shore with the many beach options. Melissa provided some great options on where to eat, what to see and where to buy groceries. We are definitely planning on coming back to stay here and highly recommend Melissa as your AirBNB host.

Jun 27, 2019We had a very good welcoming from Melissa and she was very helpful with recomendations during our stay! We massaged about places to go and she responsed direcly! The house was really nice and super clean and had everything we could ask. It was in walking distance to a really really nice foostruck park and sunset beach which was totally wonderful! We will absolutely stay there again if we return!
Jun 27, 2019We had a fantastic stay at Melissa's studio. It was so spacious and clean, and contained everything that we needed and more. We loved how breezy it was and that we could see the ocean from almost every window! It was so centrally located to drive to Haleiwa, beaches at the Eastern end of the Northshore, and Turtle Bay, and was a very short walk to Waimea Bay, Foodland and the Food Trucks. Melissa and her family were all so lovely but also very respectful of our privacy, and with the studio being stand alone from the other houses it was easy to relax and feel at home in the studio. We will miss falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the ocean and the amazing sunsets from the back lawn and hope to return soon!
Jun 27, 2019If you visit during winter, and the big surf arrives, you will have an exclusive ringside seat to one of the greatest athletic events on earth. And you can walk to the Pipeline and Sunset Beach. The North Shore is surfing's mecca, and you're at the center of the action. Take cameras and big lenses if you have them. When the surf is not up, enjoy a swim at Waimea Bay Beach Park, a short walk away. Don't miss a Mahi sandwich or plate lunch at Ted's Bakery, just up the road. Finish the meal off with a slice of chocolate haupia pie. The quarters are spacious and comfortable and private. The furnishings by Nak on Wood complete the beach decor (go Nakamura brothers). You're a visitor in a friendly, family compound. If you get a chance ask Marlene to share her story of the land, she'll tell you a wonderful, Hawaiian melting pot tale. We'd be content to live at Waimea Point, if it was possible. It was a unique privilege to be able to visit.
Jun 27, 2019If you want to stay on the North Shore and not have to deal with driving everywhere or high fees this is the place for you. 5 min walk to Foodland and 2 min walk to the beach at Waimea Bay. Though the real trip is sitting on the patio watching the sun set over Keana Point!
Jun 27, 2019We had a great time on the North Shore and the apartment in Waimea was perfect. Comfortable and with a convenient location. We watched big wave surf competition from the front lawn when the surf was high. Everything you want to do on the north shore is easily accessed from there- surfing, stand up paddle, hiking, snorkeling, kayaking, SCUBA, whatever. The food options are plentiful and outstanding. Our hosts were friendly and we had lots of privacy. Check in/out was easy. We wouldn't have changed a thing about our vacation there.

When I booked I thought the place was directly on the waterfront but it was a house back but the place was fantastic and still had access to the ocean views when you walked to the front yard. Kitchen was good but no oven. Had a lovely stay and would definitely come back.
Jun 27, 2019Location, location location! If you want to be able to walk to the beach, take a quick drive into town, and watch the waves from your yard, this is a great place. To make it even better, Melissa and her family are all very nice and hospitable, and have provided a couple extras such as TV with streaming movies. We enjoyed winding down to Netflix after days of beaches, waterfalls, and food trucks. Be aware that this is one unit in a complex that includes other residences where the family lives. It's a loft above the garage area. You'll occasionally see small ants or geckos inside, which is typical everywhere in Hawaii. Also, don't expect to have a private feel, or an unobstructed ocean view from the studio. If that's all OK, I highly recommend staying here.
Jun 27, 2019After a couple of days closer to Honolulu with friends this was the perfect retreat for us to relax and enjoy the great beaches of the North Shore. The apartment was exactly as described and fully equipped with all necessary appliances and has a feel like home atmosphere. The apartment doesn't have an open view on to Waimea Bay but we didn't expect that, as it was clearly described in the location profile. Instead the great view on to the famous surfing spot of Waimea Bay Point can be enjoyed from the garden which is being shared with Melissa and her very nice family. But this of course does not mean that you cannot have full privacy. During our stay we occasionally met Marlene, Melissa's sister, who was always nice and fun to talk to and gave us a lot of valuable information. Haleiwa itself, which is a 10 minutes drive by car, offers nice restaurants, cafes, food trucks, souvenir shops and boutiques, so it is a nice place to hang around in the evening. And if you want occasionally the big city lights, Honolulu is only a 1 hour drive away. Even though the waters at the North Shore are much rougher and not always allow swimming, we would always prefer to stay here and if waters are getting too rough go for a swim to Kailua etc. by car

Jun 27, 2019Melissa's place was amazing, really clean and as described. Was perfect for our babymoon. Within walking distance to waimea beach and food land and an easy drive to haleiwa and pipeline. The condo is private and quiet with lots of space for 2. Basic kitchen setup allowed us to cook breakfast and snacks. Bed was really comfy, 3 ceiling fans kept the place cool and an AC unit for safe measure. Melissa was very friendly and even invited us for Taco Tuesdays with her family. I would highly recommend this place if you want to get away from the tourist heavy Waikiki and experience Six thumbs up!
Jun 27, 2019Amazing! Seriously...we loved this place and Melissa is a great host! The views on the back patio are to die for and the apartment is spacious and comfy. We spent one relaxing evening with take out from the elephant food truck (per Melissa's suggestion AND within walking distance) watching the sunset on their back patio. Loved it!! We had our coffee on their patio many mornings as well. Walking distance to Three Tables, Shark's Cove, and Waimea Bay. I could go on and on. This place will not disappoint!
Jun 27, 2019Our stay was nothing short of perfect! We were only a quick 5 minute walk to the beautiful Waimea Bay and also the best food truck park I have ever been to. We ate there several times as there were so many choices to chose from. Melissa's apartment was very clean and stocked full of necessities, including towels and snorkel gear. Melissa was happy to recommend places to eat and activities to partake in. Per Melissa's recommendation, we took a zip line tour and my husband went shark diving (yikes!). I would highly recommend staying at her quaint abode. Again, the beach is a short hike away! Was a wonderful North Shore experience and we would definitely stay there again should our travels ever take us that way. Thank you, Melissa!

Jul 27, 2019Tucked off the main drag this apartment offers you peace and quiet whilst still being in walking distance to everything you need! Two beaches are less than 5 minutes stroll and the food trucks and supermarket are less than 10 minutes alway. Melissa was a welcoming host who made us feel so at home!

Jun 27, 2019Melissa's place was everything as described. It was a short walking distance to two amazing beaches. Snorkel gear, towels and an ice chest, all provided, made for a wonderful day at the beach. Make sure you visit the food truck park and the awesome town of Haleiwa. The grocery store was minutes away by car. We truly felt at home, the studio has everything you would need. By far, the best part is watching the sunset right off Melissa's private patio. We grabbed a pizza and a bottle of wine and enjoyed the views! You will not be disappointed!
Jun 27, 2019Oh my goodness the views!!! Even though we can't see it from the house the view is just in the backyard. It's gorgeous! The address is not accurate in (Hidden by Airbnb) but I hope Melissa would have changed it by now as we got really lost! The house was very spacious and comfortable and the hosts are fantastic and welcoming. The location is great - ta really close to food land and food trucks but I would seriously encourage you to hire a car (we didn't!) Normally I can't sleep without blackout curtains (Melissa's place is really bright) but I couldn't wake up even when the sun is up cos I am so relaxed and comfortable there!
Jun 27, 2019Melissa has a lovely place to stay. It is open, clean, well equipped, nicely laid out and close to everything. The shower has nice water pressure. Everything in her place smells good and is fresh. The TV was excellent with lots of good programming available. The kitchen amenities are modest, but workable for tea/coffee and a light breakfast. The sheets were pristine and the bed comfortable. Her place is right off of the main beach road so you do hear morning (7am) and evening traffic, but it is very quiet at night and during the rest of the day. It also is up a flight of stairs. Melissa and her family are very kind and generous people. We really enjoyed them and our stay overall and recommend it.

Jun 27, 2019The location is perfect - four beaches, all different & special, within easy walking distance. Stunning sunsets every night from the property & any of these four beaches. White sheets, towels & walls works for me every time. Nothing says "Aloha" like white! Laundry facilities were a plus for us after but all we needed was a bikini & sarong so pack light! Food trucks & Supermarket very close & meeting all our needs. Perfect wind down & relax for us here at Melissa's..... recommended!
Jun 27, 2019The apartment is comfortable and clean with everything you need. It is super closer to Waimea bay and sunset beach. Would be awesome to stay during peak surf season as you can walk/ ride and don't have to find parks. My husband and I were very happy with our stay and would definitely recommend to other couples who love the beach!

Jun 27, 2019Melissa’s place was a nice studio on the north shore of Oahu with a gorgeous ocean view from the back yard. We were only separated from the ocean by rocks! It was a beautiful and relaxing place and a short walk, only a few blocks to a beach to the left or right. We had our most authentic relaxing Hawaiian Experience ever (and I️ have been to Hawaiian island more than 10 times) as we were in a residential area. Melissa shared her family history and Hawaiian culture with us and was so warm and welcoming! We had everything we needed to enjoy the beach- snorkel gear and beach towels included.
Jun 27, 2019Melissa was a wonderful host and the studio was perfect. We felt very comfortable in the space. It was larger than expected which was a nice surprise. It was very private, bright and airy. It had everything that we needed. It was beautifully presented and very clean when we arrived. Melissa has thought of everything. Soft white sheets and towels. A smart TV on an arm that can be viewed from the couch, kitchen or day bed. We loved the location. 3 min to Waimea Bay and about the same to the shops and food trucks. We will definitely be back!

Melissa and her family were welcoming and friendly. The north shore location was excellent, with a spectacular view from the property’s lawn and picnic seating area. It was an easy walk to the supermarket and the beautiful local beaches.

Jun 27, 2019****5 star rating***** for this accomodation! We stayed one week with Melissa and her family and it was the most wonderful stay! The studio was spacious, bright and had everything we needed. Melissa and her family were most welcoming and we almost every day went to their backyard to watch the totally amazing scenery. The most perfect location on the North Shore - close to everything (the supermarket Foodland, the food trucks, the pipeline, many other beaches, Waimea Valley and so many other great things)! The 5 top things we appreciated the most are: - 3-4 min walk to Waimea Beach and Three Tables (both amazing beaches), which also meant we could leave our car at home and not fight for a parking space with everyone else. - Great wifi - Comfy bed - Beach gear that we could borrow, a washing machine and dryer also on site - The studio itself - it wasn't what I would call a luxury residence, but it just had everything you needed and was so well-planned, comfortable and cosy! And last, but not least - Melissa and her family! A couple of things that are good to know: - This residence is close to the road and there is a lot of traffic and ambulances/rescue vehicles passing by - Since this is an ocean property the waves outside pound against the rocks (which we love!) If you do need really quiet when going to sleep - bring your ear plugs, because it gets a bit noisy sometimes, but don't let that stop you from staying here! In our book, this is a 5-star residence! Jun 27, 2019Hawaii's Best Kept Secret. After traveling extensively through the North Shore, we can say without a doubt the property location and serene views of Waimea Bay are among the best on the island if not in the continental United States. We were blown away (almost literally by the false Ballistic Missile warning) by Melissa's hospitality and generosity. We sat for hours and watched big wave surfers attempt to ride massive waves from their backyard. If big waves are in season (Winter) and the conditions are right you are in for some entertainment. The unit was charming, clean, and so worth the drive! This property and immediate surroundings were so incredible we actually got engaged here. You can hear the waves breaking (in season) from your bed. The unit was surrounded by lush vegetation and breathtaking views. As I understand it this property overlooks the exact location where James Cook "discovered" Hawaii and came ashore. I get why, it's stunning. The beach is a short walk (like 1 minute). The unit is the perfect beach retreat and offers a lot of privacy. I recommend grilling here at sunset with fresh fish. I can't speak highly enough about our hosts. As a New Yorker, I have to try to be more like them, calm, helpful, collected, funny, and at peace. This place is a dream. We stand by our decision that IF THE WORLD ENDS TOMORROW, THIS IS WHERE WE WOULD WANT TO BE.
Jun 27, 2019We had a wonderful stay at this property. The location was superb and the accommodation was fabulous. It was spacious, clean and very comfortable. All that we hoped it would be. Whilst we didn’t have full ocean views from the accommodation we did have full access to the front yard where we spent most evenings listening to the crashing waves and having a beer or two. We had the choice of Waimea Beach one way and Three Tables Beach the other, both only minutes away. Foodland and places to eat were within easy walking distance. I have always wanted to visit the North Shore and couldn’t have picked a nicer play to stay with such a welcoming family. They were kind, helpful and always there when we needed them. If you want to somewhere to stay on the North Shore then this is the place to go. Thanks Melissa and Marlene.
Jun 27, 2019We had a round trip over Oahu and I'm glad that we have found Melissa's place! What can I say It's not just the cozy appartment itself but Melissa's kindness far exceeded our expectations. Because of It's perfect location you're literally in the middle of the North Shore! In few minutes drive you can find everything you need like shops and restaurants but Kaena Point or Turtle Bay (the two opposite sides of northern O'ahu) are not even more than 30 minutes away. Morover If you go there in winter (as we did) the word famous surf spots like Banzai Pipeline are just few minutes away! In january/february don't forget to check the surf competition calendar so If you're lucky then you can see the word's greatest riders on the legendary waves. One morning Melissa wrote us to visit the Banzai Pipeline as soon as we can because of the Volcom PipelinePro Word Championship has just began so we did and it was awsome. (Thank you Melissa once again for the tip!!!) She was so helpful as She gave us super useful daily tips about the area and also helped us to find some vegetarian/vegan eating places. But not even her kind words but the fresh fruits and vegetables She took us every day were so kind - she made us feel like being part of her family. The apartment looks big in the picrures but It's even bigger in the reality! It's well equiped, super cozy and absolutely clean - one of our best airbnb appartments so far!!! We realy enjoyed our stay there and hope we can get back one day! So If you're about to discover the northern side of O'ahu then stop searching because Melissa's appartment is the place you're looking for!!!!

Jun 27, 2019This property and apartment is truly a piece of paradise, a place that my husband and I were lucky to call home for just over a week. We enjoyed our accommodation and stay on the North Shore so much that we tried to extend our visit only to find that there were no flights back home to accommodate us. Melissa was a wonderful host, she and her sister Marlene were extremely welcoming and kind. The apartment itself was clean, smelt great, comfortable, filled with beautiful artwork created by their late father that illustrated some of the wonderful history of Waimea Bay. It just had such a warm and lovely feel, it has everything you need and more. The sound of the ocean was a constant, and the front yard was just magic. You could see Waimea Bay and ocean forever, lots of whales breaching daily, its safe to say we spent a lot of time enjoying this view with friends who were staying close by. There were many nights watching the sunset with a drink in hand, and BBQ cooking, it was pure relaxation. The location to Food Land and the famous food trucks (which has amazing food) was an easy 5-7minute walk. Visiting Pipeline was almost a daily ritual, it was approximately a 25-30 minute walk, 7minute cycle or a short drive. Some great local hikes are in the area and if you have a car, driving up to Turtle Bay and visiting the town of Haleiwa is a must! We will certainly be back to visit this incredible place that Melissa and her family are so lucky to call home.

Melissa is an amazing host and is always available with great tips. This is my second time staying with them and I can’t wait to go back.

The studio apartment on Melissa's property is a large, bright, spotless space in one of the most beautiful locations in the world. Its walking distance to groceries, food trucks and several of the best beaches on the North Shore. It is the perfect North Shore location with an incredible view! Highly recommended.
Jun 27, 2019We loved having our breakfast on the patio overlooking the ocean, and being able to walk to several beaches. Melissa also had some great tips about restaurants and food carts to try. The studio was large and laid out well, and its many windows allowed for both privacy and cross-ventilation.
Jun 27, 2019Best location on the North Shore by far! We were blown away by the views and close proximity to many different beaches. Each beach is just a 2-3 minute walk away from the house in any direction, and Foodland was so close that we walked to get groceries also. Melissa went above and beyond to make our stay great, and was very quick to respond and communicate if we needed to. Everything was clean, neat, and instructions easy to follow. On our morning walks on Waimea Beach we saw whales breaching right off shore! This was a perfect place to relax and enjoy our babymoon away from the traffic and loud touristy areas on the island.

Jun 27, 2019This studio is the perfect getaway. We used it as a staycation spot. You could walk to Waimea bay if chosen or you could drive to one of the many other beaches located very close by. Not far from Haleiwa for shopping and/or eating. However, my husband and I love to visit the food trucks just up the street. Melissa is very hospitable and is available to answer any questions you might have. Overall, it was an amazing experience and very relaxing! We’d definitely love to visit again!
Jun 27, 2019Melissa’s place is exactly how she describes it and then some. Although we weren’t able to utilize the patio space as much as we wanted, it was still a beautiful place to just sit back and relax and enjoy the sounds of the ocean. The studio is a great place to unwind after an eventful day. It is so close to everything you would need. Beautiful beaches, great food and local attractions. Having air conditioning and a washer and dryer at our disposal was a huge help. The studio is well furnished with everything you could need. We really enjoyed our 25th anniversary trip here and are talking about coming back for our 30th. Overall, Melissa’s space is perfect. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a place to stay on the North Shore. P.S. The fact that there was a gated entrance with your own personal opener made us feel safe every night. Great touch!!!
Jun 27, 2019Some of our favorite things about Melissa’s place: world class ocean views from the lawn, waking up to the sound of the ocean, the refreshing trade wind breeze, the kindness of our host, walking distance to some of the most iconic beaches in the world, the comfort of the bed, the cleanliness of the studio, the peaceful location, and the beach accessories available for guests to use - all made our stay one of the best Airbnb experiences yet. We will stay here every time we visit, if it’s available!!
Jun 27, 2019Best place on the North Shore and a wonderful host! Melissa was so welcoming and friendly. We used to live in the North Shore, just 1 block away from this house, and you cannot be as t the view or area. It is safe, secure, family friendly, and you are surrounded by some of the best beaches on the North Shore. The place was super clean, bright and airy, decorated beautifully, and the bed is extremely confortable. It is also very quiet. We will definitely be back!
Jun 27, 2019Had a wonderful time at Melissa’s place. Couldn’t ask for a better host and location. Woke up to rainbows in the patio overlooking the ocean nearly everyday. Had to pinch myself every morning to make sure it was real. Sunsets were just as fantastic. Couldn’t recommend this place more and will surely be back!

Jun 27, 2019This location is absolutely amazing! The view from the front grass area is beyond beautiful. Our kids loved snorkeling right off the rocks and we enjoyed many sunsets on the loungers. We will be back for sure! A fantastic experience all round!

Jun 27, 2019We had a great stay at Melissas place! Melissa met us and made sure we had everything we needed, gave us some history of the place. The location is great for convenience - A very short walk to two beaches (including Waimea Bay which was our favourite for swimming) and Foodland. Haleiwa town is about a 15-30 minute drive depending on time of day/traffic. The studio is lovely and view from the yard out to the ocean is fantastic. It does get very bright (no curtains) and traffic starts early in the morning, so better suited for early risers than those who love to sleep in on vacation. Would definitely stay again
Jun 27, 2019melissa’s home was beautiful, clean, and welcoming. the backyard that overlooks waimea is just perfection... we enjoyed drinking our morning coffee while watching the ocean, so peaceful yet so close to all the busyness of pūpūkea and haleiwa. everything about staying in her home was amazing. it’s just an easy 5 minute walk to waimea bay. melissa was always quick to respond and more than accommodating. i highly recommend staying at her gorgeous beach home!

Jun 27, 2019It's a nice apartment, but you are living right next to the host, and you feel like you are constantly being watched. Also the family is nice, but you feel like you are encroaching on their family time when you are out on the grassed area. It's definitely not as relaxing as staying in an apartment where you aren't on a family property.
Jun 27, 2019A beautiful air conditioned studio in a perfect location! Walking distance to the beach, shark’s Cove (2 snorkels and 1 fin set provided by host), food trucks and grocery store. Gorgeous sunset view right from the backyard! A covered picnic table is in the back to enjoy meals at sunset or any time of day. Very close to Waimea Valley and Falls. Short drive to Old Town Haliewa and a mom and pop Macadamia Nut Farm/Factory. Dole Plantation is only a 20-25 minute drive away. Gated entrance helps you feel safe at night. You are given a gate remote for your car. Iron and ironing board in the studio. Washer/dryer in carport. Covered carport. Lovely hosts, very accommodating. Surprised us with bananas, avocados and startup snacks for our Hawaiian adventure. Mahalo for an excellent AirBnb experience.

Jun 27, 2019Aloha The Studio at Waimea Bay is perfectly located & an easy walk to 3 or 4 different beaches. It is also an easy evening stroll to Foodland and the Food Trucks & Foodland which are such a part of life on the North Shore. It is an immaculately clean studio & very spacious & relaxing. Laundry facilities are also available which I love! Melissa is a wonderful host as are Marlene & Randall who also live on the large property. It is accurately photographed on the website & it really is as good as it looks. It was our second visit & I hope there will be many more.

Jun 27, 2019That’s such a nice place. We enjoyed every morning having our breakfast in the garden, just next to the ocean, sometimes even with a magical view at a rainbow above the ocean. The loft apartment was perfect for us two and very spacious. Marlene (sister from Melissa) gave us a warm welcome and her passion to create a nice experience for us was (with a lot tips and recommendations) made our stay unforgettable. Hope we will get there again some time.
Jun 27, 2019The family that owns this Airbnb has lived in Hawaii for generations. There are paintings on the walls done by their father. They are watercolors of the local area. The yard, where we sat and had coffee in the morning, overlooks the ocean. We saw whales, rainbows, surfers and waves bouncing off the rocks in front of us. It was magnificent and peaceful. We could walk to Waimea Beach. Banzai pipeline is a short drive as is Haleiwa. There are lots of informal restaurants close by
Jun 27, 2019The view from the backyard is unbeatable! We had our coffee and avocado toast there every morning and would’ve had a drink there every afternoon if we had been home. Due to a storm, we got to watch a dozen surfers riding some pretty big waves. The location is perfect – easy to rent bikes near Foodland, and ride up the bike path to Ted’s bakery for breakfast. Walking distance to the food trucks, Shark’s Cove, and Foodland.
Jun 27, 2019Extremely clean and amazing location here. That front lawn overlooking the mighty Pacific ocean and big waves rolling into Waimea Bay is simply breathtaking. Honestly, within seconds we spotted a whale coming up to the surface! Melissa and her family are so accommodating as well and even invited us into a family gathering. Perfect amenities on site (laundry, beach gear, etc) and so close to the shops/food trucks too. Mahalo nui loa!!

Jun 27, 2019Our stay at Melissa’s place was amazing! The location can’t be beat - the view of Waimea Bay is incredible - we loved watching the surfers and the sunset every evening. Close proximity to Foodland and plenty of dining options and beaches. The apartment itself is a great size, and is well appointed with everything you need. Melissa’s personal touches really made our stay special - hosts like Melissa are the reason why I love using Airbnb!
