David has been a great host to us. He was really Pleasant and helpfull all the time. The Appartement is located pretty central with Many nice locations nearby ( it could be loud During the night) non the less it has been a good place to start our trip through portugal. :)

Jun 27, 2019Good cheap room. Noisy though, and there aren't proper curtains that keep the sun out. Was fine for me as I like to be up early. If you intend to sleep in, be warned.

Jun 27, 2019Our stay in Porto with David was pleasant. Unfortunately we couldn't meet David on arrival but his friend Arian was very helpful and gave us some great recommendations for sights and restaurants! The apartment was clean and well furnished but we had some issues with WiFi as we could only have two devices connected at a time. Otherwise the apartment is well located with close proximity to groceries, train stations and metro stops. It is also within walking distance of the major attractions of Porto. It's not brand new but especially considering the location, it is good for the price of the stay.

Jun 27, 2019Pretty basic place, 1 king bed not too big and a couch that can be transformed to small bed for two. Furnitures are old. Really good location and the host was really nice, one of the best I ever found.

Jun 27, 2019David's flat is a great option for exploring Porto on a budget. The flat was extremely clean and comfortable for 2 people. Located right next to the "art" neighborhood of Porto, all the major sights are within walking distance, and David provided excellent tips for restaurants/bars, sightseeing and what's going on currently in the city.

Jun 27, 2019Квартира в центре Порту за минимальные деньги. В Порту не нужно сидеть дома, а нужно много гулять. Эта квартирка уже достаточно старенькая, но уютная. Под окнами шумновато от от дороги. 3 этаж. Есть балкончик. Особо не видовая. Хозяин квартиры очень отзывчивый. Спасибо!
Jun 27, 2019David is a great host, communication with him was perfect, he provided full info for getting to his house beforehand so we found it easily. also he kindly waited for us even though we were late for check-in for an hour. he helped us to find free parking place for our car, that was really kind and important for us. the apartment is very well located, 10 min from pedestrian area. its old, but clean and tidy, with huge window, so it let a lot of natural light in. the flat is rather basic. the kitchen is equipped very well. we were surprised that the double bed for us and place for the third guest were not separated; in description it was said there was 1 bedroom in apartment, but actually its a living room with sofa and double bed in the corner. it wasn't really comfortable for us, but we didn't ask David additional questions before booking, so it might be our own fault. good place in beautiful city
Jun 27, 2019David was very nice and adapted to our arrival time. We had very good tips from him which helped us to enjoy the city. The apartment is perfect for a couple, just few minutes walking from downtown. It has the basics you need for a short visit to the city. We definitely recommend him!

Jun 27, 2019The clean apartment is close to a metro station and has good amenities nearby. It's about a 15-20 minute walk from the centre of town. The main advantage of this flat is the host, David. He was flexible with us as we were a last minute booking and facilitated a late-ish check in. He also brings great interaction with his guests and gives plenty of tips and recommendations for the stay.

Upon arriving he gave us a very thorough guide to Porto (with a particular emphasis on food - which we loved!) and showed us where to park our car for free the 3 nights we were there. The apartment was clean, bright and in a great location. Within walking distance to everything. It was perfect for the two of us on a short visit. Thanks again David!
Jun 27, 2019First off, David is a gem. He was so extremely nice and a gracious host. Could not ask for better. He has a genuine interest in being nice and for his guests to feel at home, he's the best!! The place itself was tough for us because of the noise and the bed was not good. We would not stay here again but we would absolutely 100% stay in a different Airbnb offered by David , possibly with different accommodations. If was not a perfect place for us, but we give 5 stars for the hospitality of David.

Jun 27, 2019My friends and I just stayed one night at David's place and for us it was really the perfect accommodation. Near to the city center, it is a great place if you want to take some rest before (and after) visiting the town. The window is facing the street so, keeping it open, it can be a bit noisy. David is a great Host! The communication was fast and easy (we booked the place at the very last minute), he came across our needs since the beginning and at the check in he gave us a lot of good info and suggestions about the city. I look forward to go back in Porto!

The apartment is basic but very clean and has everything you need. It's situated in a cracking place with ample bars/shops on adjacent street and only 5 min walk from other popular areas. Porto is a top city and this definitely a good place to use as a base. Cheers David!

Jun 27, 2019The place is well located just two blocks from the action of the city center. It is somewhat run down but this is not the issue. The problem is the street is noisy. Even the bigger issue is that the bed is even noisier than the street believe it or not. Having said that if noice does not bother one too much the rest is quite good especially the host David who knows the city and shares this knowledge by asking including very hard to find secrets. Overall we were satisfied but tired.

Jun 27, 2019Our kind host David received us in his apartment, close to the centre of Porto. On a map he showed us a lot of interesting places in town and -practical !- the nearest ATM and supermarket. As a (very) basic spot to discover Porto: well chosen.

The apartment was nice and clean and even had a washing machine. David gave some great recommendations for eating and checking out Porto. We would definitely stay here again!

Jun 27, 2019David's place by itself wasn't bad at all, although it all is quite dated. David himself was really nice and gave us great tips on where to go in Porto! My main issue with the place was the shower, there was hardly any water pressure and the showerhead had to be held by hand. Also the bed is very noisy, it's an old spring matrass, an it's length is only just enough when 1.85m tall. There is very noticeable streetnoise, although for me that isn't a problem. Still, we had a nice stay in Porto and got a really nice dinner thanks to David's recommendations. His knowledge and advice where to go in Porto is what was best about the stay!

Jun 27, 2019David was a great host. He was kind, uncomplicated and very helpful. Check in was easy and uncomplicated. Although we changed our time of arrival, he was spontaneous and easy going. He had prepared a great bucket list to see the best of the city in only one day because we had not more time. The apartment was spartan but had everything necessary. The location was the best. We were able to reach the city centre by foot and see the amazing city by only walking. He proposed great spots to see and we were very happy to have him as host.

Jun 27, 2019Duże, przestronne, czyste i jasne mieszkanie. W kuchni dostępne są wszystkie niezbędne sprzęty aby przygotować sobie posiłek. David polecił nam wiele fajnych miejsc w Porto i odpowiadał bardzo szybko na nasze wiadomości. Blisko do centrum miasta, nie ma potrzeby korzystania z komunikacji miejskiej. Niedaleko mieszkania można zaparkować samochód w bezpłatnej strefie. Polecamy!

Jun 27, 2019Tuve un problema con el billete de avión y necesité un alojamiento urgente. David me ayudó enseguida y me esperó en el apartamento. Muito obrigada! El apartamento es pequeño y todo (muebles, instalaciones, etc) es muy antiguo pero bien cuidado y muy limpio. Muy cerca hay una tiendita donde venden comida, me fue muy bien al llegar tan tarde. Hay un autobús que lleva al aeropuerto (el 602) y se llega al centro en un paseo cuesta abajo. La cama es muy cómoda y el wifi muy bueno. Lo recomiendo para una estancia corta.

Appartement bien situé, mais très bruyant, aucun système de chauffage (limite au mois de novembre), meubles anciens et vétustes : une des portes de l'armoire m'est tombée sur le pied le jour de notre départ.. bien dommage !

Jun 27, 2019David was really nice and was showing us some places to eat on the map when we arrived. Unfortunately The shower Didnt work that was ennoying for women with long hair. It was impossible to wash them...and then the whole flat was really damp and cold so we could not really stay long there. Vetter to visit Davids Palace in summer! :) Otherwise Porto is beautiful to visit!

Jun 27, 2019Me and my dad stayed in Porto for one week. This is enough time to explore every part of the city(center) and other cities as well. The location of the apartment is perfect because it’s quite out of the tourist zone and authentic but if you walk for 5 min you’ll find yourself already in a crowded area. David was really caring and helpful. Totally recommend. It is very loud at night though because of the busy street.

The apartment: very well located near the most interesting alternative bars, restaurants and shops. Walking distance to all major sites. Nearby free parking area (ask the host). The flat has everything you need to make your stay totally comfortable. We will definitely come back !

Die Lage der Wohnung ist sehr gut, denn man kann alles zu Fuß erreichen. Die Wohnung ist zudem gut ausgestattet und wir hatten einen angenehmen Aufenthalt. Wir empfehlen die Wohnung auf jeden Fall weiter!

Jun 27, 2019The place was nice and easy to get to from the airport. Great location in walking distance from the inner city. My advice: use the tips David gives, especially the sheep cheese sandwich and the viewpoint near the bridge. They alone will make your stay worthwile.

David's apartment is located in the hear of Porto, near to many small bars, local restaurants and the mecca of lovely second hand shops. i definitely recommend this apartment to anyone who wants to make the most of Porto. Jul 27, 2019Decently located, only about a 15 min walk to town centre. The place is quite small and needs a bit of a pick-me-up (looks dirty but is mainly just old and lived in). Not a great value for money. We did enjoy our walk into town centre and David was very kind to let us stay a few hours extra on our last day. He seemed nice and other travellers seemed to love him -but was out of town when we were there so he took a bit longer to respond and when we arrived, we had to wait over an hour in the street at 11pm because his friend who was letting us in “had troubles with public transport.”
Jun 27, 2019House is on a main street so it was noisy. There is an unavoidable moisture smell inside. Besides all that amedities are ok for a stay. You can stay in a better guest house in the neighborhood with a little bit of extra money which i believe worths it.

David also offered several great recommendations regarding local things to do , thank you! But few things could be worked upon. - bin in the bathroom, not next to bed, hair dryer, more accurate pictures, comfortable mattress and clean linens, and better pillows.

Jun 27, 2019El alojamiento me resultó bastante decepcionante, cuando entre olía verdaderamente mal, la persiana estaba rota y el anfitrion no la arreglo en mi estancia lo que implicó dormir con luz toda la noche y por la mañana, el sillón está rajado, y la bañera está bastante sucia ... no vale lo que se paga por el apartamento.
Jun 27, 2019I will hightly recommend david and his place :) He completly saved us from a bad start. Our previous airbnb host never answered (Miguel) and we were already in porto, but it took David less than an hour to prepare the house and send someone to present the flat and everything :) Not enough thanks ! This flat is full of charm and close to everything, right in the town center, near to the best streets and areas. We also discovered what we will call the best hamburger restaurant we've ever went: the real hamburgeria (go for it, its near the house if you cant walk anymore... so dont be afraid) and the best terasse "bacchus vini" where you should taste the tawny porto 10 ans d'âge... terrific Well ... you can Guess we had a very good time:) Jeanne & Carmine
