Ipanema is one of the most charming neighbourhoods of the Marvellous City and the Visconde de Pirajá Street is a walkway. The apartment is located between two squares, General Osório where on Sundays has the Hippie Fair, and the Nossa Senhora da Paz with a beautiful garden, several places to seat by the shade of trees, playground and a pond with fish, ducks and turtles. We are located two blocks away from Ipanema beach - Posto 9, Arpoador Stone, Rodrigo de Freitas lagoon and many other things that can be done by foot. Near nightclubs, shops, supermarkets, excellent restaurants, theater, cinema, drugstores and banks. Todo muy limpio y ordenado. Son excelentes anfitriones!!! muy recomendables!!! Esperamos pronto volver a Río y hospedarnos con ustedes. Un abrazo!! Everything was excellent!! Jun 27, 2019Vitor's a great host, he was friendly and happy to show me round the area when i arrived - was nice to stay with locals! The place is clean, comfortable and as in the photos. And the location was really just perfect if youre looking to stay in Ipanema. It's a couple of blocks from the beach with plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants nearby.

Eu já estou recomendando o lugar para outros amigos e pretendo a voltar a me hospedar com eles sem sombra de dúvidas. Além da localização do apartamento em uma das principais ruas de Ipanema. Tuve incidentes y tomó decisión sin hablar conmigo inicialmente después dialogamos pero el resultado fue interrumpir mis vacaciones y buscar otro lugar. Todo ha sido comentado con él. Jun 27, 2019Carlos e Vitor foram super gentis na nossa chegada e nos deram várias dicas sobre segurança nos arredores, passeios etc. Infelizmente não tivemos muito tempo para conversar sobre outras coisas (os dias foram bem corridos). A casa sempre esteve organizada, os demais visitantes muito educados e o ambiente sempre esteve tranquilo, exceto quando quebrei a maçaneta da porta do banheiro (da próxima vez façam um teste de destreza com os hóspedes, esse povo que nem eu não é de confiança! hahahah) e tive que acordá-los às 3 da manhã de um dia de semana. Ainda assim, fui prontamente atendida e Carlos, muito hábil, consertou em dois segundos. (Eternamente envergonhada por esse episódio, aimi sori hahahaha). De forma geral, tudo correu muito bem. Vale ressaltar que o quarto é muito bem cuidado e corresponde exatamente à foto. Eles oferecem toalhas de qualidade e bem limpinhas, bem como sabonetes novos e cotonetes no banheiro. A cama é bem confortável e os lençóis de ótima qualidade. Enfim, a experiência foi muito agradável, com um toque de doçura muiiito especial: a anfitriã canina. QUE COISA MAIS LINDINHA! Educadinha, brincalhona e não late quase nada. Uma verdadeira lady! Foi ótimo! =**

Jun 27, 2019Vitor was always very prompt in his responses via email well before our trip had begun! He always was rather enthusiastic about us coming, very welcoming. He made it very easy to communicate once we landed, between him and my fiancée Izadora, we were added to the group chat on " (Hidden by Airbnb) "! Upon our arrival, Vítor was awaiting us at the door (very helpful since it was already night fall). From that moment, he broke it all down from which key opens what door, where we could park our rental car, and to where we could wash off sand from the beach before entering the building. All easy and in sequence. Once we got to the apartment, we were greeted by Carlos, the other guests, and their senior puppy (very cute)! We felt right at home! After brief intros, we were shown to our room (just as it appeared in the photos, if not better)! I personally was very touched by the (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) champagne flutes with a miniature bottle of champagne for two that sat along with the rest of our little toiletries and snacks! The purpose of our stay was to experience New Years in Rio so it was a great gesture of hospitality! He gave us the run down on the rest of the place, told us to be at home. We were given wonderful recommendations on places we could visit that may appeal, whether it be for food or sights. It seemed like Vítor and Carlos had an answer to our every question! Again, our primary objective was New Years, and as we scrambled to figure out what to do prior to visiting the beach, we were invited to spend the hours leading up to midnight, to hang out with our hosts and another great couple staying also, sipping cocktails and champagne and eating delicious fingerfoods prepared by Carlos! With about 45 minutes left of the night, we all strolled down the street to appear at one end of the Copacabana beach strip. It felt like an episode of "Friends". We were all together for the fireworks, photos were taken and toasts were made! Eventually our group split into 3 groups and separated. It just felt like a very homey experience as well as something completely new! The location is everything! We were staying for 2 weeks; so when not driving, it was very helpful to be in the heart of so much. Taxis and buses cruising always, metro station 2 blocks away, a parking garage a few businesses down, Ipanema Beach Just 3 blocks in one direction, Copacabana Beach about a 15 minute walk in another direction. Grocery stores, clothing stores, abundance of food and bars, you name it! You simply cannot go wrong here even if you tried.

Jun 27, 2019Vitor's apartment is neat, clean and organized. He is INCREDIBLY attentive as a host, always helping us with directions and what to do in the city. He even has a (Hidden by Airbnb) group where everyone that is currently in the house is into. Really nice to get to know everyone. He is also very flexible with check-in and out; which was really helpful for us because our flight arrived really early. Also, the location is PERFECT! So close to the Ipanema beach and it's such a safe place. I felt safe all the time walking on the streets. I strongly recommend him.

Jun 27, 2019Achei um espaço interessante, com localização excelente, um lugar tranquilo e acolhedor. Tranquilo, apesar de ficar em uma rua movimentada. Acolhedor porque cada hóspede faz suas escolhas e, mesmo estando os três quartos ocupados, além daquele dos donos da casa, não parecia que a casa fosse assim habitada. Correu tudo muito bem. Limpeza ótima e aquela cordialidade que oferece o apoio necessário.

Everything was perfect and there are so many areas I can praise, but these are just a few: I was *really* made to feel welcome; Vitor and his partner are so lovely I really want to keep in touch as friends; everything was so clean and fresh; the communication before and during was excellent - particularly the (Hidden by Airbnb) group; the location is amazing - two blocks away from Ipanema beach!; it was so incredibly useful to be able to use the fridge & washing machine; it was very good value for money etc. If ever I get a chance to go back to Rio, I will *definitely* stay with Vitor :)

He was very responsive and tried to make sure everything was well arranged before my arrival and helped me getting to his apartment. During my stay he provided some useful tips as well. The apartment itself is located in the main street of Ipanema and is very close to the beach. The room was clean and had an air conditioner. I would definitely recommend staying at Vitor's apartment as he charges a fair price for a great Rio experience!
Jun 27, 2019Vitor is a great host! He's answering very quickly to questions you might have, he's very attentive and a lovely person. In your room you will find an umbrella for the beach, candies, earplugs and sleeping mask. The location of the apartment is perfectly located in Ipanema, close to restaurants, metro station, beach, lagoon and shops. The wifi was also very good working and they have a washing machine in the apartment. The apartment was very clean and the kitchen is very well equipped. Only thing is that if you have the window opened, you can hear the noise from the street, but for that you can use the earplugs and I guess in summer time you anyway would keep the window closed and use the aircon. We would definitely stay here again!

Apartment very well located and extremely clean . I wouldn't hesitate to stay again when in Rio . Thanks for being so fabulous. I'm sure that Lalica misses me a little
Jun 27, 2019You will love Vitor's place and location for the price. 2-3 blocks from famous Ipanema beach.. this is a gem that I wish we could keep secret. Vitor is 5 star in communication with client concerns ( I ask about a issue.. he's there in 5 minutes or less). I asked about a special guide who could share with me knowledge of yoga studios, massages, and overall Brazilian culture and he was able to suggest to me a local Airbnb host who could point me in those directions. Airbnb is a marvel of travel opportunity.. discovery of real places, real people, and positive world peace experiences. Go to Brazil and rent a place at Vitor's and save enough money so you can paraglide off a cliff (one of the many activities Rio has to offer).
Jun 27, 2019O apartamento fica no melhor local da cidade, tem tudo perto e o Vitor é sempre muito solicito e disposto a auxiliar. A cama é confortável, tem lençóis de boa qualidade, estava tudo bem cheirosinho. O banheiro é muito limpo e os tapetes foram trocados diariamente em todo o período em que estivemos lá. O Vitor tem uma habilidade incrível de lidar com situações que demandam paciência. Teve uma paciência imensa comigo, desde o instante em que fiz a reserva. Fui recebida com muitos sorrisos, conversa amistosa, o que nos deixou muito a vontade como se estivéssemos na casa de um conhecido de longa data. Já no primeiro dia, nos recebeu com brigadeiros embrulhadinhos e decorados feito por ele, um mimo! Espero poder contar com a hospitalidade do Vitor muitas outras vezes!! Recomendo com louvor!

Jun 27, 2019Vitor's place is the perfect home base for visiting Rio! This is truly a gem listing - the location is perfect (two blocks from Ipanema beach and in the middle of many great restaurants, shopping, and tourist activities) and the apartment is comfortable and surprisingly spacious. The room itself is also very comfortable and has a lot of great touches such as a phone charger, snacks, umbrella, and of course a selfie stick - Vitor thought of everything :) Vitor and Carlos were incredibly communicative and helpful throughout the process. They answered any questions I had throughout our stay and even let us stay quite late the day we were checked out so we could sneak in some more beach time before our flight. I highly recommend!

It's not fancy and there are other roommates around, but Vitor is *extremely* responsive, reliable and accessible. He can answer any and all questions and he's very thorough!

I loved that the room had tons of small details like a piece of fruit, eye masks for sleeping, ear plugs just in case, a package of nuts, etc. Vitor was very professional and let us check in early and was in constant communication for us to check out even when he was not home.

The location was perfect, just a few blocks from Ipanema beach and around the vicinity you will find everything you need. I would stay with them again if I come back to Rio.

Jun 27, 2019Carlos y Vitor son amables. Saben dar consejos para el viaje. La ubicacion es genial. La zona es segura. Si bien la habitacion da a la calle principal y es ruidosa, no impide descansar en la comoda cama. Ademas al llegar, Vitor y Carlos te regalan tapones para los oidos. La casa es tranquila y todos alli muy respetuosos. Lilica, su perrita, es simpatica, juguetona y respetuosa como sus duenos. Es muy recomendable pasar unos dias con estos anfitriones!

Jun 27, 2019I stayed two nights at Vitor and Carlos's lovely flat in Ipanema. The flat is really well located just back from the beach and in a great neighbourhood with loads of restaurants and bars. Starbucks is literally downstairs if caffeine is your thing! Communication was great and check in and out was a breeze. Thanks guys for making my stay so easy!
Jun 27, 2019El departamento está increíble y muy seguro, en una de las mejores zonas de ipanema, a poca distancia del metro y de la playa, cerca de muchos bares y restaurantes así como de tiendas súper nice, Vitor y Carlos tienen una vibra increíble, muy atentos y expertos para darte tips para darla vuelta en la ciudad, muy dispuestos a ayudarte siempre, ame mi estancia con ellos, se los recomiendo mucho.

Lo mejor es la hospitalidad de Vitor y Carlos, me ayudaron mucho durante mi estadía en su hogar, lo que hizo que me sintiera en casa!!! Recomendado este lugar!!!

Jun 27, 2019Exceptionally well appointed bedroom and the home itself! Vitor and Carlos are one of the most amazing hosts I've ever met. They are very welcoming, respectful of everyone's privacy, very professional in dealing with people! I've had so much fun and enjoyed my stay in their home and fully enjoyed my trip this time Rio de Janeiro because of the Vitor and Carlos place. I was so lucky I chose their place among the many in Ipanema area. Their communication to their guest are warm and cordial, they have welcoming presence; add on amenities like welcome sweet treats, umbrella, phone charges, bath soap, shower stuff etc are available - a sign of very thoughtful and professional hosts! The location is just perfect: two blocks from the beach, shops/stores, restaurants, bars all walking distance, two equidistant Metro! 24-hour security guard to let you in the building, and you have your own key to your room. Their place is super clean, a cleaner came in to clean up my room on the 4th day of my 7-night stay - that was well appreciated! I will definitely stay in their place again if the situation arises and if I given a chance and will definitely recommend this to my family and friends. Thank you so much Vitor and Carlos!

Their hospitality is of the highest quality and they go out of their way to make you feel as comfortable as possible. They provide great tips on what to do and see in and around the city, I even had dinner and drinks with them a few times and will gladly stay with them again when I return to Rio! Their apartment is ideally located in Ipanema, just steps away from the beach, restaurants, bars etc. What are you waiting for? Go ahead book these guys!

El lugar es maravilloso, ubicado a dos cuadras de Ipanema, MUY seguro. Vitor nos facilitó una tarjeta para el transporte público y un internet móvil que nos ayudó muchísimo, cada vez que necesitamos algún dato ellos nos ayudaron. Jun 27, 2019Excellent! Best Airbnb I’ve stayed at. Vítor and Carlos are very friendly and easy-going. Their place is in a beautiful spot in Rio. It’s near public transport, the beach, the lagoon, Copacabana, lots of bars and restaurants. On the top of that, they provide amenities that most Airbnb’s don’t - very handy. I arrived in Rio early morning and could check in as soon as I got to their place. The photos are very accurate, you don’t have to worry. Highly recommend.

Está ubicado en una zona ideal de bares, restaurantes y tiendas de ropa, en donde el ruido ambiente jamás nos molestó ya que toda actividad termina temprano. Nuestros huéspedes fueron amorosos, brindando recomendaciones y una atención muy cálida a toda hora. Recomendamos 100% este hospedaje! Volveremos pronto!

El departamento es precioso, la ubicación es inmejorable y cuenta con todo lo necesario para que te sientas cómodo, desde la cerradura electrónica hasta el filtro de agua y el café. Jun 27, 2019The bedroom is very cozy with lots of cute and practical amenities. Vitor and Carlos are very friendly and cleaned our room so we could arrive before check in time due to our early flight arrival - which was very appreciated!! Their little poodle is the cutest. Location is perfect although some noise from the traffic. But we didn't really mind since the beach was so close and there were restaurants, stores and supermarkets open until midnight. Thank you guys!!! :)
Jun 27, 2019Buenísima ubicación a 2 cuadras de la playa y al lado de todo el comercio que se necesita, restaurantes, farmacia, supermercados, bancos, cafeterías y lo que puedas imaginar está dentro de la manzana... El departamento es cómodo, limpio y seguro! Los chicos son muy amables y están dispuestos a ayudar en lo que necesites! Un 7 para ellos!

Son amables y serviciales, nos brindaron información de la ciudad, lugares que visitar, donde comer. Además nos prepararon un postre típico de Rio que estaba muy bueno (muchas gracias). Lilica, la perrita, se portó muy bien!!! En cuanto a la ubicación, es inmejorable!! Se encuentra en una avenida principal y a penas a dos cuadras de la playa. El departamento es impecable, tal cual se ve en las fotos, siempre ordenado y limpio. Sin duda volveríamos a hospedarnos allí para una próxima visita a Rio! Jun 27, 2019Ich habe die Zeit bei Vitor und Carlos wirklich genossen. Die Wohnung war super ausgestattet, wurde regelmäßig gereinigt, hatte eine super Lage und gab einem das Gefühl zuhause zu sein. Vitor und Carlos sind sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit, geben gerne Tipps und sind sehr freundlich. Ich kann diese Unterkunft nur empfehlen und werde definitiv wiederkommen.
Jun 27, 2019O apartamento é extremamente limpo, organizado e lindo com uma localização privilegiada no coração de Ipanema. Muitos bares e restaurantes próximos e menos de 5 minutos a pé da praia. Ficamos em um quarto de casal com uma tamanho maravilhoso e desde a recepção já adoramos; tinha frutinhas e snacks no quarto à nossa espera. Vítor e Carlos são super fofos e nos deram ótimas dicas de passeio. Super recomendamos e esperamos voltar em breve! ❤️
Jun 27, 2019I had the pleasure of staying at Vittor and Carlos’s space. I chose this spot because they are superhosts and it was my first time in Rio. I didn’t want to be alone in the big city. It was the right choice. Carlos doesn’t speak English so I mostly communicated with Vittor and he is lovely, caring and super helpful. The room is super comfortable and the apartment is in the heart of Ipanema which is an awesome area to have as a home base. The bedroom is located right on the street which I loved because I felt like I was part of the action. It was also kind of cool to interact with other guests, through Vittor our unofficial translator. I would definitely recommend this place especially if you are not familiar with Rio and because they are such nice people to stay with.
Jun 27, 2019Vitor & Carlos's place was a great stay and are excellent hosts. I have come to Rio many times and this is the place to stay. The location and price cannot be beat. You are in a safe neighborhood with close access to the beach, metro, grocery stores, and restaurants. They will even give you tips on where & how to visit the landmarks of Rio. In addition to being clean the apartment security system for entering and leaving is what impressed me the most. Once again great times and hope to stay within a few months.

I got a lot of detailed suggestions for things to do and places to visit from them, depending on weather, timing, how much time I had, etc. They really know how to help guests have a great time during their stay. Jun 27, 2019What an amazing space! The location is very central in Ipanema. The room and the entire house was perfectly clean, with nice touches from the host such as eyeshade and ear plugs. The wifi was just perfect. Most of all, they are very friendly, genuine people and absolute pros at accomodation. Highly recommended.

Están en cada detalle. La ubicación es muy buena (sobre la avenida principal de Ipanema y a una cuadra de la playa). Todo impecable!

Jun 27, 2019Alles hat unserem Wunsch entsprochen. Wir hatten ein Doppelbettzimmer. Das einzige Problem war nur doch schon ziemlich laute Hauptstraße. Aber im Zimmer lagen auch die Ohrstöpseln. Alles in einem ein sehr guter Aufenthaltsort.
Jun 27, 2019This place was terrible. They were extremely rude to my guests. We came in at two different times and it was a huge problem. They threw away all my belongings in the bathroom and it was a terribly unpleasant experience. Also there is a dog that they allow in the home that will continuously come into your room and bathroom. It says private room but no privacy at all.
Jun 27, 2019A casa do Vitor e Carlos foi uma excelente escolha. Essa foi a segunda vez que ficamos lá e mais uma vez fomos muito bem recebidos. O quarto estava limpo e organizado, tinha bastante espaço para malas e a cama era muito confortável. Ar condicionado excelente! Banheiro e áreas comuns sempre limpos. Para quem gosta de praia ficará feliz em saber que são só dois quarteirões até uma das melhores praias do RJ. Além disso, nos emprestaram guarda sol para curtir o dia. Também está muito perto dos pontos turísticos, podendo ir de bicicleta, Uber, ônibus, metrô, não faltam opções. Adoramos ficar na casa deles porque sempre nos recebem muito bem, dão ótimas dicas e estão disponíveis para nos ajudar. obrigado pela estadia, voltaremos!
Jun 27, 2019Vítor & Carlos were very pleasant hosts. While we were in a shared apartment in one of the rooms available to stay, it didn’t feel crowded. Their place was clean and inviting. It is in the PERFECT location, in one of the hip areas in Rio, with a 3-5 minute walk to the beach. It was so convenient! Ipanema is the perfect mix of a residential and commercial neighborhood - stores around in case you want to buy a shirt, medicine or need to take out cash. There are several food options in the area as well, which was great for breakfast and late night açaí snack. Our room was facing the Main Street, which we really liked. It can get noisy but the noise dies down and you’re able to sleep. I would recommend staying here if you’re looking for a great area and a clean space!

The apartment is well equipped and I enjoyed the interaction with other guest. Nothing can beat the location of the apartment with the beach and everything you need right on your doorstep. Particularly appreciated were the thoughtful touches - a parasol for use in the room, an umbrella, an array of Brazilian treats to taste, soap with a soap case, earplugs. Carlos and Victor were very friendly and helpful.

Jun 27, 2019After reading all the great reviews about this place we weren't let down. Vitor and Carlos are great hosts - very welcoming and friendly. When we arrived they gave us a great breakdown of the area and how to get around and get to places etc. The flat is in a great location, accessible to lots of things to do, bars and restaurants etc. The bed is really comfortable and the room more spacious than we thought. Lovely little touches like some sweets and a map and the coffee machine were great! We would definitely return.
