The Quarry Apartment is simply stunning - being able to have breakfast outside in a private courtyard is definitely a wonderful bonus. To come home to a very comfortable bed and fantastic shower after a day of exploring is a true treat. Tastefully furnished, the love for design is apparent and to be found in every detail of the house. The pictures shown don't do justice to the reality of this place. At a two minute walk from Trindade Metrostation you’ll find that everything you need and look for in Porto is really within walking distance. Small cafés, design shops, markets with local products, you name it. Thank you Filipa for being such a warm-hearted host. We really appreciated the extra towels, Nespresso and cold wine & Coke in the fridge :-)

Jun 27, 2019The appartment was very good furnished and decorated but very dark and cold. We had the heating on day and night whith a outside temperatur about 22 degrees. I missed the daylight very much and the little patio looks nice but it was also dark. Maybe at high summer it is a good and cool place to stay. The area was very quiet and nearby the old city.
Jun 27, 2019Très bon accueil, le logement est bien situé, au calme, propre et agréable: très bien pour visiter Porto en toute tranquillité. Que du bon sur l'accueil et la communication tout au long du séjour également. Bref, je recommande. Le manque de lumière décrit précédemment ne m'a pas gêné, bien contrebalancé par la déco très sympa.
Jun 27, 2019Filipa welcomed us at the apartment and gave us all the necessary information. We could easily reach her via phone during our stay. Communication via email prior to our arrival was also uncomplicated. We can highly recommend her as a host! The apartment is a real gem: historic Porto building, fully renovated and still keeping it's old charm. All used materials are of high quality and very solid. The limited space is perfectly used with built-in cupboards, double-storey ensuite double-bed + bathroom area, even leaving space for a small private patio outside. Location is tops: right in the heart of Porto, next to the Metro-interchange "Trinidade". A walk down to the river and the more touristy area Ribeira is no problem, when you are too tired for your way back up, the Metro or a taxi is easily arranged and not pricy. Only slight downside in Porto in the center is the lack of free parking space, but again next to Filipas apartment there is parking available (expect up to 1 EUR/hour), Filipa can give you advise on the best option and how to get there. Overall experience: great! We came as a family with 4 adults and a 3-year-old (3 generations) and everybody was happy with this choice!
Jul 27, 2019Für einen Kurztrip nach Porto können wir die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen. Die Lage ist perfekt ! 100 Meter von der U-Bahn Station Trindade, von wo man in allen Richtungen fahren kann. In 10 Minuten im Zentrum. Direkt um die Ecke ein tolles Cafe wo man für wenig Geld phantastisch frühstücken kann ! Die Wohnung ist voll ausgestattet. Es fehlt im Prinzip nichts. Philippa war super zu erreichen und die Kommunikation einwandfrei. Einziger Punkt der für uns nicht optimal war, dass es in der Wohnung recht dunkel und etwas klamm ist, da es sich um ein einen alten Steinbau handelt. Nichts desto trotz , Top renoviert und für einige Tage absolut geeignet ... Würden gerne wiederkommen

Filipa nos recibió a nuestra llegada y nos explicó todo perfectamente. Si volvemos a Oporto, sin duda volveremos a su apartamento.
Jun 27, 2019It was nice being so close to the metro station! The apartment is gorgeous and was everything we needed. It's true that it is very dark in there and there is not a lot of natural light, but since we spent most of our time outside it didn't bother us too much.

Jun 27, 2019La casa es igual que en las fotos. La anfitriona muy accesible y en contacto con nostras todo el tiempo a pesar de no estar en la ciudad. Esta situada muy cerca del centro, se puede ir a pie o en metro que esta en la puerta de la casa. La unica pega que le ponemos es la falta de iluminacion, sobre todo por la noche las lamparas tienen poca luz y no iluminan la casa lo suficiente. Recomendable

Jun 27, 2019Un séjour très agréable dans un logement très joliment rénové, confortable, parfaitement situé à proximité immédiate des transports (métro, bus), calme pour une situation en ville. Proximité du Centre touristique et commerces. Logement très bien aménagé, douillet avec une petite terrasse au calme sur une cour intérieure. Propreté impeccable. Un accueil très agréable de nos hôtesses en amont du séjour et sur place.

Jun 27, 2019The appartment was located in the center of the city but on a street where there was not much trafic which was good. The design was very cool and the patio was perfect for breakfasts. Me and my girlfriend really enjoyed our stay in this nice appartment!
Jun 27, 2019The apartment has a very good connection to the metro and is in the middle of the city. You can reach a lot of things by foot. It is very close to the nightspots, like bars.The connection was very friendly. I would recommend it anytime.
Jun 27, 2019Nous avons eu un super séjour dans cet environnement unique et confortable. Prendre le café ou l'apéro dans la cour intérieur était tout simplement magique. L'appartement est vraiment magnifique, les enfants ont adoré les lumières sous la vitre du plancher où l'on voit les vestiges de la pierre. Filipa nous disait que la restauration de l'immeuble a été fait par un architecte et cela se voit dans tous les détails. Il y a même un rideau électrique qui descend pour plus d'intimité à la mezzanine si on vient entre amis. C'est un peu humide à cause des murs de pierres et un peu sombre mais il y a des lumières partout et l'ambiance est incroyable. Nous le recommandons vivement! L'emplacement est idéal. Merci à Filipa pour ce super séjour, nous n'avons manqué de rien.

Jun 27, 2019Tout d'abord un très bon accueil de l'amie de filipa avec une arrivé tardive. Elle nous a montrer tout le fonctionnement de l'appartement qui est vraiment superbe. La cuisine est très bien équipé avec tout ce dont on a besoin. L'appartement présente également une jolie terrasse qui est très agréable pour manger dehors. La chambre présente un store qui est pratique pour ceux qui aime dormir dans le noir complet. Des prospectus et un guide de la ville sont également disponible pour permettre d'organiser ses journées. Je recommande cette appartement. Merci à silvia l'amie de filipa

Jun 27, 2019Super appartement idéalement situé dans un quartier calme et proche de toute la vie portuense. Bien équipé, cosy et confortable avec une hôtesse à l'écoute ! Un joli puits de jour qui fait office de petite terrasse agréable. Un mini bémol, si vous êtes sensibles, (ce qui n'est pas notre cas) l'appartement construit dans la pierre est un peu humide avec des odeurs de salpêtre. Personnellement nous n'avons pas été gênés car nous sommes habitués aux maisons, disons, rurales. L'appartement est super fonctionnel on sent la patte d'un architecte d'intérieur dans le design du lieu !

Jun 27, 2019Le logement est très agréable, idéalement situé dans Porto, près d'une station de métro qui va directement à l'aéroport. Il est décoré avec goût et possède une jolie petite terrasse. Margarida & Filipa répondent très rapidement et sont très serviables.

Jun 27, 2019We stayed for 4 nights in this lovely appartment. We did not have a problem with the missing daylight, we turned on the light and it is very cosy. We opened the windows during the day so there was a good ventilation and we did not smell the moisture. The appartment is very special designed. We had everything we needed and we felt very comfortable. The location was perfect. When we visit Porto again we will visit Margarida & Filipa for sure!

Jun 27, 2019Absolutely a wonderful place with everything you could need. Close to the Metro and a super market right around the corner. Plenty of place to choose for eating.... warning- stay away from Christina's(horrible service and food). There was a couple of issues with the tenants who have the apartment above. They will throw their water off their balcony on to you if on the patio. I would stay here again and recommend this place to anyone and everyone.
Jun 27, 2019A casa da Margarida e da Filipa é muito gira. Adoro o design. Tenho pena por não entrar tanta luz natural e por a casa ser um pouco escura. Mas de resto a localização é ótima. Fica perto de tudo o que necessitámos. A Filipa respondeu-nos sempre num espaço de 5 min o que é ótimo e esteve lá pronta para nos receber. Aconselho este espaço principalmente a casais. Muito giro, gostei muito. Obrigada por tudo.
Jun 27, 2019Very cool apartment indeed, maybe even more spacious than you'd get from the pictures. Previous reviews are very right about the location, the limited daylight (also in the patio, but very cosy lamps inside to make up) and the (smell of) humidity/moisture in the apartment (during summer I'm sure it's fine as you can air by opening windows, during winter that might be a bit fresh). Kitchen is also spacious and well-equipped, just be sure to use the pot holder to move pans as their handles get very hot. All in all I'd recommend it.

Jun 27, 2019Although we were only for a few days in Porto, we could enjoy the stay. Specially due to the very good apartment. Centrally located, easy to reach from the metro. Very good quality, very clean and well maintained. Trust the pictures in airbnb, but reallity is better! Above all, the good communication has prepared joy. Absolutely recommendable!
Jun 27, 2019En el baño de arriba habia hormigas que hacen la estancia un tanto incomoda... El equipamiento de cuchillos y tenedores y ollas un poco antiguo/deteriorado, tampoco habia vasos. La temperatura de la planta de abajo es bastante fria. Y en general poca luz natural. La ubicacion es muy buena y Filipa siempre ha estado muy disponible tanto para la llegada como para conversaciones anteriores.

Jun 27, 2019Mooi en origineel appartement, tof terras, ideale ligging (verbinding metro met luchthaven kan niet beter en een op een kwartier van de leuke straatjes), alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig! Af en toe is de hoge vochtigheidsgraad niet zo aangenaam maar dat neem je er graag bij tijdens een verblijf in dit top appartement!

Jun 27, 2019Le logement a beaucoup de charme, il a été décoré avec beaucoup de goût et est parfaitement équipé. Il est taillé dans la pierre donc il est humide et on peut trouver quelques fourmis mais cela ne nous a pas dérangé. Filipa a été réactive à nos questions et à accepté de nous recevoir malgré l’heure d’arrivee tardive. Porto est une très belle ville qui se visite à pieds, le logement est à environ 20min (avec montées et descentes !) du quartier touristique de la Ribeira et se situe à la sortie du métro qui permet de rejoindre l'aéroport, ce qui est très pratique
Jun 27, 2019Super appartement met alle voorzieningen. Misschien een beetje donker maar dan doe je toch gezellig de lampen aan. Als je last hebt van een beetje muffe lucht dan gedurende de dag ramen open en je ruikt niets. Werkelijk een aanrader, super mooie douche en heel schoon.
Jun 27, 2019Beautiful apartment. Very friendly hosts. All the features you would desire for your stay; full kitchen and washing machine. Bathrooms are a little small for a larger person. Location is a very short walk to all the sights in Porto, and conveniently near Trindade station and a few large grocery stores.

Jun 27, 2019Très bel endroit, rénové avec goût. La seule critique serait son manque de lumière. Mais il est idéalement situé, à 150m du métro qui va directement à l'aéroport. Bien situé aussi dans le centre, on peut sans problème visiter à pied. Accueil adorable de Filipa qui parle français!!

Jun 27, 2019Margarida nous a très bien accueillis malgré notre retard (train en retard de 40 mn). L'appartement est conforme aux photos, avec effectivement une petite odeur d'humidité due aux murs en pierre. Mais il est très propre. Le coin nuit est très calme, on n'entend pas du tout la rue. Le lit est très confortable. Nous n'avons pas pu profiter de la terrasse car il y avait des travaux à côté le premier jour, et les autres jours il pleuvait, mais c'est certainement un plus bien appréciable. L'appartement est très bien situé, juste à côté du métro et près du centre et du Douro (15 mn à pied). Nous avons fait toutes nos visites à pied. Il y a un supermarché juste à côté. Notre hôte nous a indiqué des lieux à voir et il y a un petit guide en français très pratique à disposition dans l'appartement. Nous recommandons pour un petit séjour à Porto et une expérience dans un appartement de ce style.

The Trindade Metro Station, a grocery and some good reastaurants as well are close by. Filipa was always reachable and replied quickly to my messages. We would definitley come back and i highly recommend this gorgeous little apartment!

Jun 27, 2019Le logement de Filipa est très bien situé, en plein coeur d'un quartier de Porto en plein expansion avec plusieurs cafés et restaurants nouveaux genres (avec très peu de touristes !) Nous avons particulièrement aimé l'architecture et le design unique du logement ! De plus, le logement offre une petite court intérieure des plus sympathiques qui permet de décompresser même en plein coeur de la ville !
Jun 27, 2019Un très bon séjour, dans un quartier agréable (assez bobo). Près du quartier touristique, on a pu se déplacer presque uniquement qu'à pieds. L'appartement possède du charme, cependant il y a l'odeur un peu prononcée de l'humidité liée à la pierre néanmoins pas particulièrement dérangeante pour nous ! (A noter qu'un appareil pour atténuer cette humidité était mis à notre disposition)

Jun 27, 2019L’appartamento è molto bello, arredato con gusto e in una posizione ottima. Filipa è stata disponibile e gentile. Purtroppo però la zona giorno della casa è sotto il livello della strada e l’appartamento risulta molto umido e con un forte odore di umidità. C’è un piccolo spazio all’aperto, anche questo molto umido e pieno di insetti e zanzare, che lo rendono poco fruibile. Se dovessi tornare a Porto non alloggerei nuovamente qui.

Jun 27, 2019We absolutely loved are stay in Porto. Beautiful apartment with everything we needed. One tiny remark that we did have is that the Wi-Fi wasn’t great, but that didn’t bother us too much eather. Would defenitely recommend!!

Jun 27, 2019Das Appartement ist von der Lage bestens geeignet um die Stadt zu erkunden. Metro Station ist in unmittelbarer Nähe. Aber auch zu Fuß ist man in 10min in Riberia und dem Kneipenviertel von Porto. Das Appartement ist liebevoll saniert und hat seinen ganz eigenen Charme. Wir hatten eine schöne Zeit dort. Filipa war immer gut zu erreichen. Wenn ich wieder in Porto bin, dann bestimmt in diesem Appartement.
Jun 27, 2019Really nice apartment close to the shopping areas and Trindade station, where you can catch all of the metro lines. Very quiet despite its location and 2 minutes from a supermarket. Everything in the apartment works, and the shower is great. If you're unsteady on your feet then the spiral staircase means this is probably not for you.

Jun 27, 2019Sehr schönes Apartment, zentrale Lage, alles gut zu Fuß zu erreichen, Bahnhof direkt um die Ecke. Leider um diese Jahreszeit etwas feucht und kalt in der Wohnung, aber sehr schön eingerichtet.
Jun 27, 2019L'appartement est très bien situé, juste à quelques pas de la station de métro et à 5 min à pieds du centre ville. Il est parfait pour un couple qui souhaite passer quelques jours à Porto quand il fait chaud ! Je ne vous recommande pas de booker cet appartement quand il fait froid en revanche, car le chauffage n'est pas très performant et les problèmes d'humidité se font sentir. Mais il parait qu'il n'y a pas beaucoup d'appartements qui sont bien chauffés à Porto. Nous aurions souhaité profiter de la terrasse mais il faisait assez froid pour petit-déjeuner dehors. Il se pourrait qu'on reloge dans cet appartement quand on reviendra à Porto en été si les problèmes de tuyauterie de la douche sont réglés.
