We really enjoyed staying here. The location was great, I walked around the block to the beach every day. The space was perfect for our stay, very comfortable and had all the needed amenities. Nina was a very nice host, communicated well, and responded right away when we requested to make a change. Highly recommend staying here. We hope to go back.

Nina''s place was really very nice. The location is in a friendly neighbourhood and the houses are very close together. I can well understand why it would not be suitable for parties or large get-togethers. The house has a big, comfortable porch, surrounded by palm trees where we sat most of the time during our stay. The kitchen and bathrooms had all the necessities required, as well as enough beach towels, bath towels, and the laundry facilities had a modern washer and dryer. The garage was great too, as we had rented a fairly big jeep and there was plenty of room and was really spacious. We never had the chance to meet Nina in person, but our written communication was excellent. Her response was quick and reliable. If I had to give a constructive criticism, it would be 2 small issues. One, because we always returned back to the house at night, we had to always turn on our flashlight in order to lead us safely up the path to the stairs where the main entrance was located. Perhaps one more motion detector light would be nice. Secondly, we were too incompetent to use the television, meaning not user-friendly. Although Nina left instructions, we weren't able to watch it, which DID NOT matter to us and didn't warrant a call. I would recommend Nina''s place for a nice quiet, stay in the North Shore area.

We had such a great stay at Nina's place. She was very communicative and helpful from before our stay and throughout. Check in and checkout were also easy and seamless. It was perfectly spacious for two couples, and we had all the tools we needed to make our own meals. You will want to eat out too--so many great places to eat on the island! The house is such a short walk to the beach, we caught plenty of sunrises and sunsets with little effort. We also got to see lots of marine life, including huge turtles, without having to pay for resort snorkeling! You won't regret staying here if you want a relaxing experience away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki but close to some great beaches. I'd you rent a car, you can always drive to the other beaches and party's if the island, but retreat to north shore when you're ready to kick back. We'd stay here again without hesitation!

I had a great time staying at Nina's place on the North shore of Oahu. There is plenty of stuff to do on the North shore, like surfing, kayaking, snorkeling, or just hanging at the beach. If you want to spend the day at the beach, it's about a 5 minute walk from Nina's beach house to Aweoweo beach park. If you'd like to do some shopping, there's a strip of shops and restaurants about 10 minutes away from Nina's place by car with boutiques, surf shops, and cafes, as well as many other types of shops. And there is also a great farmers market that is close by that you have to check out if you stay here. All-in-all I really enjoyed my time here.

The Palm Tree House was clean (spotless), convenient to beach and provided a private, relaxing atmosphere. Nina was 100% responsive and the entire experience was perfect. Extremely comfortable for two couples - the lanai, kitchen, living room, and bedrooms were all very large. Highly recommended.

Nina was the perfect host. Very prompt responses to general questions prior to our trip. Check in was a doddle with the lock box. The house is very spacious with a private garage, two very large bedrooms, a fantastic kitchen (we cooked breakfast and dinner every day), twonawesome showers and most importantly it was clean and had all the mod cons. As a base for exploring the island (especially the North shore) it was a dream. Highly highly recommended! Thank you Nina

This house was perfect for vacationing with our friends. There were 4 of us at the house and it was big enough for us to stretch out and enjoy our time, yet have our own space as well. The beach chairs and towels were a nice touch, as we spent much of our time there. There isn't an air conditioning unit, but given the time of year that we visited (March/April), it wasn't an issue at all. The fans kept the whole house nice and cool (especially the east bedroom!) and it was pleasant. Thanks for such a comfortable house!

We loved our stay! The house is in the perfect location, a 2 minute walk to a beautiful beach and a 6 minute drive to Haleiwa that has shops, restaurants & grocery stores. The home was airy and spacious, with 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms with 2 showers, it was amazing! Nina was a wonderful host and was so easy to get in touch with, and left coffee & chocolates for our arrival, so nice. The house is also well equipped with all of the little things you might want, like beach towels, shampoo & conditioner, salt and pepper, dish soap, toilet paper and even board games. It feels like being at home. The deck is the perfect spacious spot to hang out, and all of the furniture is clean & comfy. The entire house was clean and welcoming. There are great ceiling fans in every room and there are windows with screens you can open so you always have a great breeze through the house. The kitchen is well stocked with all of the necessities, and is a bright happy space to have breakfast. The outdoor shower was really nice, it is huge and airy and perfect when coming back from the beach to get the sand off. The entire yard is really big too, and there is a big picnic table if you want to eat outdoors. The neighbourhood is really friendly & quiet (the evenings are super quiet, you can even hear the ocean from the front deck!) and super safe. I highly recommend this house - It was the perfect spot for our getaway and we truly felt at home at Nina's.

This was a great place for my colleague and I to stay while visiting Oahu for work at Schofield Barracks. Convenient location away from the bad traffic on other parts of the island and a short walk to the beach. Very nice, comfortable house and Nina was very responsive to our questions and gave good suggestions about local amenities.

Nina's apartment is clean, spacious and comfortable, in a friendly North Shore neighborhood. We enjoyed a relaxing, fun stay for 18 days coming and going from nearby Haleiwa and the North Shore beaches.

Palm Tree House is on beautiful grounds about 1.5 blocks from the beach. We could not see or hear the ocean from this home but we did hear beautiful birds each morning. The bedrooms are clean and comfortable. The bathrooms are both located in the hall and do not join to any bedrooms. This made it quite awkward for sharing space with the couple we traveled with. One shower is its own room. You have to change your clothes directly in the shower. The toilet is in a room separate from this shower. We were able to work it out, but it was rather uncomfortable. We loved the lanai and the beautiful, well manicured grounds. The air around Palm Tree House smells like flowers. Nina was very helpful. We had a difficult time cooling the place down when we first arrived, but she patiently explained the ceiling fans (there is no a/c). When there were cross-breezes it was quite comfortable. We appreciated being able to use the body boards and beach chairs. We found the best waves near Laie (North Shore) The waves at the beach near Palm Tree House were very gentle and relaxing. We were told that the waves were in "hibernation" during our trip in early June (I'm not sure if this is a common thing or not.) Our favorite places on North Shore were Haleiwa (kayaking, shaved ice, food trucks, cute shops, Ted's Pies at the grocery store), Polynesian Cultural Center (the best experience/show of the entire trip), and Hukilau Beach (awesome waves!). Overall, Palm Tree House is a great place for relaxing at the end of an exciting day. Thank you Nina!

The house is very clean, well equipped and in a great location. My wife and I stayed there with our 2 teenage boys for two week during our move back to Hawaii. There is a small, quiet beach one block away for quick ocean access. Haleiwa is a very short drive, offering larger puclic parks/beaches as well as a wide variety of dining and shopping. The location provides a getaway from the extremely busy/touristy area of Waikiki as well as close proximity to the beautiful north shore. Nina was a very gracious host, eager to make our stay as wonderful as possible. I highly recommend Nina's place.

The house was very nice. We were in the countryside, but very close to North Shore, and only about 35 min away from Waikiki. Loved being there, great location for the price. Will def stay again.

A beautiful, quiet oasis on the north shore. The home was a comfortable fit for two couples. Our favourite place to hang out every morning and evening was the lanai. You’re surrounded by lush trees and it felt very private. Nina provided lots of information about the area and responded quickly to messages. It is close to shops, restaurants, a great farmers market and a 2 minute walk to the beach. The nearby beach is a great place to enjoy a beautiful sunset and tends to be quieter and more of a local crowd. Loved the local feel to the area. If you are looking to explore Oahu’s north shore, this is a great home base.

House was clean, exceeded expectations. Very bright and cheery! Porch is great for having coffee and listening to the birds! Check out Konos and Island Vintage Coffee for breakfast/lunch. Quiet part of the island, nice drive to lots of great North Shore beaches!

Nothing less than AMAZING! Great location, clean, everything you need. Close to a charming beach. So quiet and perfect for a relaxing holiday. You definitely need a car but the garage is perfect for this. Nina was so easy to reach out to and responded quickly to our every need. I personally hope I’ll be able to come back sooner than later :)

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Nina’s home. Check-in was super easy, the house was spotless, and was well stocked with everything you might need. The beach is 2 minutes away, where we spotted turtles in the water every time we went. We loved having the covered lanai to sit and drink coffe while listening to the birds in the morning. We would recommend Surf N Salsa food truck in Haleiwa, Impossibles Pizza in Pupukea, or stopping by Costco and making dinner to bring to the beach. Also, the walking/biking path through Waialua that eventually connects with Haleiwa is just down the street, a great way to get a quick 10km+ round trip walk in, if you’re inclined! We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again!

Nina’s place in Waimea was the perfect beach get away. It was quiet and just steps away from a beautiful beach a short drive to surfing beaches and great snorkelling at Shark’s Cove. You can take a short drive into Haleiwa, home of the oldest surf shop in Oahu and yummy food, drink and trendy shops. I’d definitely stay again!

1 block from the best beach on Oahu to see sea turtles (with no one else around)! The home is beautiful - well decorated with a clean beachy style, comfy beds, nice new appliances, & a great outdoor space with upstairs patio outdoor deck & an outdoor shower with warm water for when you get home from the beach. Nina is a great host - a personalized hand-written note & chocolate covered macadamian nuts were waiting for us when we arrived.

Such a beautiful home. We loved everything from the beautiful balcony entrance to the beautiful furniture that gave a great Hawaii vibe. We did have a few issues with the fridge. It kept going warm every once in a while. Showers are long but narrow and not very movable shower heads. Other than that, the house was amazing.

We were in town for our son’s regional soccer championship tournament in Honolulu. We stayed at Nina’s place for two weeks and didn’t want to leave! We loved escaping back to the North Shore after fighting traffic and crowds on soccer days. Other days we hiked Manoa Falls, Koko Crater Railway and Ka’ena point, went paddle boarding and jumping off the bridge in Haleiwa and snorkeling at Sharks Cove and our nearby beach. We also spent a day at Waikiki beach and Pearl Harbor. We stopped twice at the Dole plantation for delicious dole whip and explored the shops and farmer’s market in Wailua, be sure to check out the laid back coffee and chocolate tour at the local roasting company. Most days we walked around the block to the beach to watch the sunset and watch the turtles feed along the shore. The World Cup started during our trip and we were able to record all the games we wanted on the DVR and watch them during breakfast, that made us very happy! Thank you Nina for such a welcoming and wonderful stay, it is a trip we will never forget!

  • Pippi -

This house is lovely and Nina is truly a fantastic host. The house is in a great location as the bus line goes right by the house, a bike path is also nearby, so it was easy to get around without a car. The only drawback, and this is of no fault of the host and I doubt she could do anything about it, but the neighbor's dogs (across the street) bark incessantly at times which was a bit maddening. But I had to spend a lot of time working remotely each day and most guests probably won't spend that much time in the house so hopefully it won't be an issue. This is a great place and I would certainly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in a Waialua.

Wonderful apartment, close to the beach (3 minute walk) and conveniently (5 minute drive) located to Haleiwa with its restaurants, food trucks and shops. It is located in a real residential neighborhood, which is safe and perfect for relaxing. Spacious enough for 4 adults with one couch possibly convertible as a bed for a small child. Outside seating area and outside shower are great!

This place was such a wonderful place to get away. It was private and peaceful tropical paradise. The owner was helpful and quickly responded to questions. She made great suggestions before our stay. She left us little treats in the kitchen which was such a considerate touch. The location was great, it was a 3 minute walk to the beach. The north Shore is beautiful. I would definitely like to stay again.

We have had a lovely time exploring - and we may have even visited all the beaches on the North Shore. Loved walking down Crosier every morning - great people and dogs. The bird song has been heaven and we so enjoyed eating breakfast on the Lana’i every morning - it felt like our own little tree house. Your house is airy and well ventilated and we made good use of the well equipped kitchen. Loved your Hawaiian surf decor. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This was my first time using AirBNB and wasn’t sure what to expect but Nina made things easy with great communications on checkin/checkout procedures, a very clean and comfortable home, and an overall great experience.

Nina’s place is absolutely wonderful! I’ve been to Oahu 4 times and this was the best Airbnb we stayed at. It’s really close to the beach, but hidden enough so that the house doesn’t have that humid feel from the ocean. Spacious, beautifully decorated and well equipped, this truly felt like our own place. The house had everything we might need, including personal and lovely details to welcome us. Waialua is a great place, the beach is beautiful and perfect for swimming and sunbathing. A short ride and you’re in Haleiwa and have all possible options for food and shopping. To top all of that, the communication was so efficient that it felt Nina thought of literally anything we could need/think and made helself available for any issues. Can’t recommend this enough! We will try to be back! :)

Fabulous venue here for our stay on north shore. Fantastic beach just minutes away with a stunning beach walk. Loved this area close to town and fantastic local shops - we loved the food trucks and island coffee shop. Nina was so helpful and even fixed a sink blockage on a bank holiday for us. Thank you - we will definitely recommend to others.
