It is in a really great location and Lawrence makes you feel super welcome and comfortable. The place is really clean and tidy. A great place to stay for either a few days or an extended time in New York.

Jun 27, 2019The appartment is big enough to accomodate 4 people. We had 2 rooms with 2 double beds. Large living room with lots of room to have breakfast all together at the same table. A kitchen fully furnished, bathroom with towels and everything you should expect from a hotel. The place is nicely decorated, clean, and there are many lights in different places, so you can create a cozy atmosphere and feel like being home. Lawrence is also a very kind and caring person. He's very helpful so you don't have to worry about details during your stay in NYC. The neighborhood is calm, you won't be scared about coming home late at night. There are restaurants, coffe shops and groceries all around. You can easily get there by feet, and also transportation is not far. Visit the original Williamsburg. It's a 15 minutes walk but it's worth all the shopping, restaurants and coffe shops you need. You can also visit the artists area that is very close. Beautiful graffitis decorate the buildings walls, music gear shops, live bars, vintage clothing, tattoo studios, and hand crafted items shops

I don't think I waited more than a few minutes for any reply and he would go out of his way to improve me and my family's comfort. The place is spotless. There is certainly limited light since it is on the lower ground floor but due to the location, comfort and value, I would recommend this spot.
Jun 27, 2019Our stay at Lawrence's was really good, he was very helpful and went out of his way to accommodate us. The basement flat is in a good location for getting the Manhattan and the rest of Brooklyn. The kitchen is well equipped and it is very cosy. There was five of us which is probably the maximum for staying comfortably but you could make 6 work I'm sure.

Jun 27, 2019Lawrence est très accueillant, agréable et prends soin de ses hôtes. Tout était très propre et très fonctionnel. Tout est facile et à disposition dans cet appartement. Le quartier n'est cependant pas animé il faut prendre le métro qui est à 10 min à pied. (Assez facile de rejoindre manhattan avec la ligne L) Ou marcher environ 25 min pour rejoindre Bedford avenue pour y trouver tous les restaurants, bars et quelques boutiques. Merci à Lawrence pour son accueil et ses bonnes intentions.
Jun 27, 2019Our stay was perfect. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. Lawrence is a fantastic host; he was very attentive and helpful. The apartment is close to a number of subway lines. You'll find plenty of restaurants, bodegas, and full service laundromat nearby.
Jun 27, 2019We had a great time staying at Lawrence's place. It's in a great location in Brooklyn. There's a lot to do in the neighborhood, and there's easy access to public transportation. The place was very clean, with a lot of space! Like others have mentioned, there aren't many windows as it's a basement apartment but that was totally fine with us, since NY gets very hot in the summer and the place was nice and cool. Of course the A/C helps as well! The back patio/garden area is very charming. Lawrence was a great communicator when it came to logistics, and also recommended a bunch of good places to eat nearby. Overall, it was a seamless experience for us and I highly recommend it!

Jun 27, 2019It was a pleasure to stay at this apartment. The location is in Williamsburg and very close to main roads and local stations, allowing access to direct route to major parts of NYC. There are many good eateries and locations close by for wandering and exploring. The apartment is very modern with a lovely design, it is spacious and is very nice for relaxing and has all facilities that one would needed while staying in New York. I would highly recommend staying here!

The appartment was comfortable enough for a family, the kitchen very well equipped and the little garden really cute ! Perfect place to come to visit New York : subway close, neighborhood peaceful with lots of restaurants and shops all around. We recommend it !

Jun 27, 2019Lawrence was a really great host, the communication was very good and he always had time for our questions. He helped us plan our trip and gave us really good recommendations. We even could make use of his bicycle. His Airbnb was clean, everything was nicely set up. There was nothing that we've missed. The garden was wonderful, we even enjoyed drinking our good-morning-coffee there. We highly recommend Lawrence and his Airbnb!
Jun 27, 2019Lovely apartment. We were a family of 5 adults and were very comfortable. It had everything that we needed. Beds and sofa bed very comfortable. Quiet location but walking distance to train, restaraunts, bars etc Very clean and comfortable. Nice back garden. Well equipped. There were some food and drink necessities available which was a nice surprise. The apartment was bigger than what I had imagined. Great Wi-Fi and TV. Lawrence is a very responsive host and is helpful in every way. I highly recommend this accommodation and host.

His suggestions on places to visit and travelling around both Brooklyn and NYC were really helpful! The apartment was perfect for us and allowed us to travel in and out of manhattan without any issues, two very local subway stations to choose from! This apartment is a perfect base to explore Brooklyn and NYC, I would highly recommend the apartment and Lawrence as a host! Will definitely go back!

The apartment was clean, tidy, comfortable with everything we needed, and in a great location. Close to transport links and easy walking distance to bars, restaurants and cafes. Lawrence and Angela were super super helpful. They didn't impose on us at all, but gave plenty of advice and tips on local sights and restaurants. You really couldn't ask for better hosts. A lovely couple. We 100% recommend this apartment. A great experience
Jun 27, 2019This place offers bang for the buck. True, it's a basement apartment with a funky layout, but the space is perfect for a family or a couple of friends. The location couldn't be better, right in Williamsburg--walkable to anything you could want. Lawrence is an AWESOME host. I had told him in passing that it was my friend's birthday we were celebrating, but he had put a bottle of sparkling wine waiting in the refrigerator for us when we arrived. He was very helpful but not overbearing or pushy, giving us the right amount of space while making himself available. You CANNOT GO WRONG trying out this place!

The location is great - close to all the main bars in Williamsburg and very easy to get to Manhattan (8 minute walk to the Met station) Lawrence was a great host and kept in touch during our stay and was flexible. Jun 27, 2019This was a good choice and I recommend it. It's really, really clean, and so even though it's a basement it doesn't feel creepy. The location is great. It was very quiet but still close to so much. We had tons of options within a 4-5 block radius. Also, Lawrence was more than happy to offer us suggestions. The check-in was very easy and smooth and Lawrence was immediately responsive to all our requests. He had also stocked the kitchen with bottled water and beer for us, which I thought was so nice! He was very concerned that we have a good stay. The only couple of things I might say that I wish were different were that one, we couldn't control the heat ourselves and it made climate control a little challenging sometimes (we had to text or call Lawrence to change it for us), and two, the internet was kind of spotty (probably normal for a basement apartment). But neither of things were major issues and I would definitely stay there again. Thank you Lawrence for being such a lovely host!

The flat is lovely. 2 huge beds and a very comfortable sofa bed with memory foam mattress. It was an excellent base for us, very easy to get into Manhattan to do all the touristy things. Would highly recommend staying here. Perfect for small groups or families

Jun 27, 2019This apartment is a lovely space that's close by to a number of restaurants and delis. There are 3 subway stations within walking distance, making it easy to explore both Brooklyn and Manhattan. Some hot water pipes run through the ceiling of the apartment which can make it quite warm, but otherwise it's a comfortable place to stay.

Reservamos el lugar un mes antes y unos días antes de viajar ya estuvimos en contacto con el y nos dio recomendaciones de lugares para comer o salir por la noche. Sus especificaciones para llegar al departamento fueron excelentes y siempre estuvo atento a lo que necesitábamos antes y durante nuestra estadía. El lugar es tal cual como lo ven en las fotos, habitaciones amplias y super cómodo para estar en grupo y compartir. En ubicación super bien, caminando eran como a 8min del metro que llevaba al centro de todo, o bien en taxi o uber también era cerca sobretodo si se manejan en grupo no es caro. Muchísimas gracias a nuestro super anfitrión Lawrence! Recomendado 100% ❤

There is absolutely nothing that can be said about this place and Lawrence. If you do not book, you surely will miss out. Much better than staying at a hotel.
Jun 27, 2019Lawrence was a great host during our recent trip to NYC. The apartment was in a great location and was extremely clean. He made suggestions to local places, checked-in frequently, and responded to any questions we had in a timely manner. My one (Website hidden by Airbnb) of the mornings the upstairs tenant was being extremely loud from 4a-8a, which kept us up. Other than that, the warmth in the apartment was relieved by opening the front and back windows. He accommodated our check-in and check-out times, which made our stay and weekend that much more enjoyable. Would highly recommend staying with Lawrence. We will surely be back!

Jun 27, 2019Lawrence was beyond helpful. He replied to every message at the speed of lightning and showed the utmost care for that our stay was perfect. For example, we were in need of an iron and he did not even offer but insisted he would bring one the very same evening. He also wrote us an extensive list of local attractions, which was super helpful. The area itself is really cool and the apartment is close to several subways. I recommend Lawrence and his place one hundred percent.

Le logement est beau propre, fonctionnel. Les lits sont confortables et il est appréciable d’avoir la Wifi. A 8 minutes de marche se trouve le métro et 15 minutes plus tard vous accédez à toutes les activités que vous offrent cette ville. Le séjour a été parfait et je conseille ce logement. Si je dois revenir aucun doute que je ferai le nécessaire pour retourner chez lawrence

Jun 27, 2019Lawrence is a great host - very fast in responding and checking, if everything is ok. He also stored our luggage on our last day, which was very helpful. The places is very spacious, but with no windows, so staying for 2 nights was just about the right amount of time. Also it's quite a walk towards the subway, but in a quiet neighbourhood.

Cet appartement a un petit jardin partagé ou le petit déjeuner du matin est un luxe au cœur de Brooklyn. Ou bien pour la bière du soir, bien fraîche. Nous avons eu un pb personnel, et lawrence nous a aidé avec beaucoup d'humanité. Merci à lui. L'appartement est idéalement placé pour profiter des quartiers de brooklyn, street art, petits commerces et d'une ambiance très hipster. Une liste de petits resto est proposée, nous en avons faits deux, Top !! C'est un hôte de bon goût. Du williamsburg authentique. Je recommande vivement. Et c'est peu dire.

Jun 27, 2019Lawrence is a genuine, friendly and very hospitable host. He enabled us to check in early and provided some fabulous information and tips about the surrounding area and NY. The apartment is in a great location and is clean - our only issue was the noise from the upstairs apartments that occurred every night during sleeping hours. If not for the ongoing noise issues (which Lawrence endeavoured to address for us) that didn’t suit our family (inc toddler), this would have been the perfect apartment. If you don’t mind noise/use to it or sleep heavy, then you’ll love this place.
Jun 27, 2019This Williamsburg apartment really fit our needs and Lawrence is a great host! He provided amenities such as water, coffees, towels, dishware, and an extra set of keys. He also gave great recommendations! The apartment is in a great location and surrounded by many restaurants, delis, and convenience stores. It was about a 10 min walk to the G and L trains. It is a basement apartment so those with a lot of luggage or sensitive to stairs should take note. It’s only a few steps but is tight in typical Brooklyn fashion. The apartment itself is spacious, with 2 bedrooms, a large living/dining area with a bed in it, a bathroom, kitchen, and patio space. We didn’t use the patio space much because it seemed shared. The kitchen is also a bit separate from the rest of the place in the back of the apartment which made the space feel large. We loved the open floor open of the living/dining room. One thing to note was that due to the lack of windows (basement apartment), there was very little air flow and at times the apartment felt stuffy. Lawrence provides an AC unit and you can keep one of the doors unlocked to let in air, but the AC wasn’t sufficient during our stay. Thankfully we weren’t home for long periods, but with 6 of us in the space it got warm. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay in this Williamsburg apartment! Lawrence, thank you so much for being a great host!

We didn’t use the backyard but we did love being so close to so much in Brooklyn. We loved how the main space was laid out, surprising for a basement unit! We would definitely stay there again!

Lawrence himself was the perfect host - friendly and attentive without being at all intrusive. The apartment is ideally situated for easy access to Manhattan using the Subway, and there is a huge array of really cool places to eat and hang out locally. I just wish we’d had a little longer to explore Brooklyn itself and check out a few more of Lawrence’s wonderful recommendations!

Jun 27, 2019This place has the three C's: clean, comfortable, and close to everything great in Brooklyn. You're only steps away from great Williamsburg bars and restaurants, and the G, M, and L lines will deliver you to the rest of what NYC has to offer. Lawrence was a perfect and attentive host. From the pain free check-in and check-out process, great restaurant tips, to the complimentary bottle of wine - you could not ask for more. Since the place wasn't booked on our last day, he even extended our check-out, no questions asked. That's what I call hospitality. If you need multiple, comfortable beds, spotless facilities, and want to see the best of Brooklyn, you won't find better accommodations. I can't recommend this place enough.

Jun 27, 2019We, a group of two couple, stayed in the basement for a week. apartment: was cleaned, no windows (basement), spacy location: close to several subways, coffee-shops and more communication/hosting: lawrence is a nice guy and had always a helping hand and recommendations the basement is not perfectly heated (sometimes too hot, too cold and really dry air), and there are no windows. for one/two nights a really good place to stay!

The apartment was very spacious, especially for New York and was only a short walk away from some cool spots in Williamsburg. The apartment gets a bit warm but there is AC in one of the bedrooms and in the living room. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a sweet basement apartment in the area.

Jun 27, 2019This is a very special Airbnb. It gave us an opportunity to spread out in a comfortable and large apartment for a family reunion. I loved the detail that Lawrence put into decorating the space. The beds were so nice. I also appreciated the places for hanging and storing clothes. Lawrence was so helpful before and during our stay.
Jun 27, 2019The space is better than what the pictures show. It can get very warm because of the space being close to the boiler but I ultimately had no problem with it. Lawrence is easy to communicate with and responsive which makes him a great host. We had an issue with the sink and he came in no time to fix it. So if you stay here you do not have to worry about an unhelpful host.
Jun 27, 2019Très bel appartement à proximité de plusieurs stations de métro pour rejoindre Manhattan. Propreté irréprochable, ce qui est très important pour nous ! Lawrence est disponible et à l'écoute, il donne de très bons conseils. Prévoir d'avoir un plus chaud que la normal à l'intérieur (en hiver en tout cas). Bien équipé et fonctionnel, bien placé... on recommande !
