Our cabin is spacious and light drenched. It offers a queen size bed, built in, small kitchenette (w/ bar fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster), bathroom, study area, air con, internet and a smart tv (w/netflix). It has bamboo floors, a timber deck, fly screens and a lovely little garden. There is easy access down a shared driveway to come and go as you please. We have 2 young children and 2 cats. The cats are not allowed in cabin.

A new building, with an abundance of natural light, which maintains the character of the main 1920's house. The cabin looks out on to garden with flowering plants including a magnolia, camellia and star jasmine. There is also a little herb garden that our two year old son likes to tend to (i.e., pull off unripe fruit/veggies and do a runner!). Also, has all mod cons including internet TV, netflix and air conditioning.

Petersham is a great place to live. It is littered with good cafes (some of the best are less than 500 meters and is known for it's Portuguese chicken and tarts (the best ones from Sweet Belem.) There are several good pubs / bars in the area within walking distance including the Oxford Hotel, the West Village and the Public House. A few minutes walk away on the main road is Archella Fresh (run by Frank and his wife Rebecca) who have great fresh produce and a wonderful range of fine foods. There is also a range of parks in the neighbourhood. The Cabin is also close to several of Petersham’s popular venues including Petersham town hall and the Petersham tafe.

Being in the inner west of Sydney, there is air traffic noise but this stops at 10pm and doesn't occur before 6am. We have two ragdoll cats which occasionally hang out in the backyard. We also have two small children, a boy aged 4 and a girl who is 2.5 going on 13.

The Cabin is close to several modes of public transport allowing guests to easily access the city and other major destinations. Petersham train station is a 5-7 minute walk away. It is 2 stations from Newtown and only 10 mins, or five stops, to the city. Petersham station is also on the inner west train line that accesses the Olympic Park precinct and Homebush. The light rail is a 10 - 15 minutes walk away in Lewisham and provides convenient access to Star City, Paddy's markets, China Town and the Fish Markets. Buses to UTS and Sydney University depart 500 meters from the Cabin (the stop is conveniently located in front of the nearest coffee shop!). The airport is 20 - 30 mins from Petersham by taxi or uber, or you can catch the train with one change at Central Station.

The cabin is accessed via a shared driveway with an electric gate. You will have your own gate key to come and go as you please. Guests have access to a small timber deck where they can have breakfast and read the morning paper. Guests are also welcome to use the shared backyard.
