Because we'd like to have as many of our days more relaxed when possible and free to do the things we like, unfettered by a daily obligation to clean and service the granny flat in a very short rigid time frame, we prioritise our accommodation reservations on a 3-2-1 priority: • 2 weeks or more - bookings taken up to 6 months in advance. • 3 nights or more - bookings taken up to 3 months in advance. • 2 nights or more - bookings taken up to 2 months in advance. • No minimum stay - bookings taken up to 1 months in advance. Each of these options has a separate specific listing on our profile. Occasionally, when odd left over days happen between multiple night bookings, we make them available early for shorter stays on the other listings. So if you're getting in early for a single night or two and our accommodation doesn't seem to be available it may be worthwhile checking back later when short stays are opened up for booking on our calendar. If you insist on lovely suburban tidy townness, neatly trimmed herbaceous borders, minimalist generic and tediously `nice` hotel decor, or twee boutique pensions this may not be the place for you, but then again you probably should be reconsidering staying in and about Newtown on that criteria. Our fantastically artistic and creative surrounds (Newtown / Marrickville / Enmore / St Peters) are one of the funkiest hubs of Australia, a rare inner city island resounding with alternative anti-gentrification energy and and sans bourgeoisie vitality - we live here because we love the community and our home is emblematic of that.

Short stroll to St Peters railway station - just a couple of stops to the CBD or the airport (but a short taxi ride may be cheaper). King Street Newtown is close with all its buses. If you're a bit of walker town is not very far away or you're welcome to use one of the free bicycles.

Make yourself at home in our spacious yard - vegetable gardens taking shape from which you should be able to pick fresh produce for your cooking. There is a prolific spice garden right outside the kitchen - multiple fresh variants of both Asian and European herbs. Free WiFi access, fresh mangoes, papaya, lemons, dragon fruit, bananas, tomatoes and strawberries from the garden (in season), washing machine, worm farm... Mi casa es su casa - But be aware it is a working art and creative workshop of constantly shifting materials so some will be anarchic , neglected and frankly a bit messy.
