Want to sleep in a treehouse in super comfortable beds surrounded by a variety of sounds from birds to frogs then this is the place to stay. A bit tricky to get there but then it's unique!

This was a unique experience sleeping in a treehouse that was open to the elements. There were no mosquitos which was surprising considering that we were deep in a rainforest . Julie was extremely kind and welcoming host. It is off road so be sure to arrive before dark. Most important is to bring earplugs to offset the noise of the coqui frogs. Our grandchildren enjoy the memorable experience of living local and in a rain forest.

Julia's place is in a beautiful, rural jungle location close to Pahoa. It's a rustic "tree top" building (on stilts) with wonderful views, sounds, and aromas in the air. There are a few more rustic buildings on the property that might be occasionally rented out. A few of the buildings are a shared kitchen and bathrooms. There are a few cats and dogs on the property. Julia and her husband were very kind to us. It was a great home-base from which we explored the Pahoa area.
