The space is a very nice 1 bedroom completely refurbished in (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) with ocean views. If you are expecting a hotel room, then Waikiki is best for you. However, if you want to live in with the locals and visit beautiful beaches with relatively few people, then stay in Makaha. New in (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) mbs high speed wifi and cable TV.

Location is perfect for west side sunsets on the beach. The condo is very basic, but clean and neat. Minimal furniture and kitchen equipment. Bathroom was clean and the shower was hot and powerful. There is traffic noise in the bedroom during the day. The communal pool and hot tub were clean and refreshing! Highly recommend for basic oceanfront condo life.
Jun 27, 2019Stay here if you want to feel like you're in the locals part of town! Not a place for commercialism and tourism but a real taste of life in Hawaii. We loved every minute of our stay and the oceanfront views were beyond anything we could've imagined. Fil is a great host and went above and beyond to help us despite being overseas at the time. 10/10 would stay here again!
Jun 27, 2019This review is actually for Fil's place in Waikiki... This is my forth time staying with him and it's just the greatest. He's very accommodating, informative and easy going. 10/10 I will always stay with Fil when I visit the islands!

Jun 27, 2019Fil is one of the nicest fellows you will ever meet. The stay is always enjoyable and he is very helpful and generous. I've stated with Fil now three times and I will be back.
Jun 27, 2019I chose this place because it was right next to the beach. However, the ocean it was next to was full of trash and it was a good 15 minute walk to a cleaner part of the ocean. The area where this condo is located was also undesirable, there was trash all along the streets. As a tourist I would not stay in this area again. To get to better beaches it's about a 15 minute drive north. The check in process was not as easy as other AirBnBs. I met Fil across the street, and he said we had to go with him to get a day parking pass. According to him, each day we would need to get a pass. However, after speaking with the attendant, she gave us a week parking pass. To be fair, Fil was not rude, he was actually very courteous and patient.

Jun 27, 2019Fil is a great host! From check-in to check-out. He provided us with some great suggestions, from places to hike, eat, best places to spot sea turtles! Everything was truly amazing! Our stay was very special and we thank Fil. We will most definitely be staying with Fil in the future!

Jun 27, 2019Fil was AWESOME. He was so nice and hospitable and brought us over anything we needed whenever we needed it. He brought us out for breakfast and coffee before taking us to the airport (he offered!!) The condo was a nice size for the area and well kept. Very small issues like a leaky A/C unit, but when we told him, he said he would fix it right away because he was very caring and so nice! We would recommend staying here 10/10. Would stay again! Thanks fil!
Jun 27, 2019First of, awesome host. Fil is very knowledgeable about the island. He offered us thorough recommendations of eateries and activities along with hidden gems of the island. Secondly, the place is located across the ocean where you have the chance to wake up and hear the waves and feel the gust from the beaches. It’s also situated near many valleys across the coast. The valleys for me were the highlights in Makaha. The place had enough amenities for our temporary home away from home.
Jun 27, 2019Overall it was a disappointing experience for me. I never had to leave an Airbnb and cancel my stay prior to Fil's place. I know it's a preference and some might be ok staying there. But I have booked cleaner, more comfortable places in Ohau for less. Overall the value for the price in my case kept me question why I booked this place.
Jun 27, 2019We do love hikes, sports, ocean and we wanted to stay away from busy Honolulu, so that was the place! We traveled everywhere through a day and came back basically to sleep to our apartment. I was able to cook breakfast, local farmers marker nearby, best veggies, fruots, eggs. It was very quiet at nights, safe parking for our rental car, very local hawaian place!!! And Fil was the best host ever!!!!
Jun 27, 2019First, a big thanks to Fil for doing everything he could to make us feel at home. Location is very west side of Island, call it quieter than normal for activities. There are beach areas near the condo but not right there, though there is a small protected area to swim and play in the water. But size was perfect for us for this vacation, exactly what we ordered. He has AC and if you are a mainlander who is visiting and not used to the humidity and heat, well, you are gonna want to turn it on a bit and take advantage of the pool. He has fridge and cooking and kitchen should you need it. So, if you are looking for a big hotel and room service feel, this is NOT for you. You want clean place to stay, Fil will take care of you. He had some fantastic suggestions on "to do's" and where to eats!

Jun 27, 2019I don't even know where to begin.... The condo has one of the best views you could ask for!! The view alone made it extremely difficult to leave! We loved listening to the ocean waves! The property has a security check point when entering the parking garage so I felt safe leaving my rental car at night. It's relatively quiet on the property and the only noise comes from the maintenance crew in the mornings (8am-9am). The property is very well maintained! Hardly anyone used the pool or jacuzzi but it was very clean. There are picnic tables near the pool if you'd like to enjoy a meal outside. Beyond the locked gates, you can access the beach. There's an outdoor shower near the pool so you can wash off after the beach. There's also a laundry room on the main level near the property entrance. The condo unit was very clean and has basically everything you need. Fil was kind enough to buy a couple of food items for us. We don't drink but there were several bottle of beers in the fridge, which would make for a very nice welcome to those who do. Fil went above and beyond to make our stay very comfortable. Before our trip, I asked if there might be a shower chair for my elderly mother and he graciously provided one for her use. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was well stocked and the living room was spacious for us two. Not gonna lie, it was pretty humid for this mainland girl but the box fan saved me!! If given the chance, I would stay here again in a heartbeat!!
Jun 27, 2019The place was AMAZING !!!! I was returning home for a wedding and I did not want to be in Waikiki cause of the congestion so Fils place was awesome to enjoy the ocean view , beautiful beaches , and also the amazing people in the area . We had trouble with our flight ,and rental so we were a bit agitated, but Fils was there close to midnight to greet us and then help to ease the stress and help finding other solutions for our rental, he even offered to take us to the place,but everything was squared away, but Fils place makes you enjoy what REAL Hawaii is about and what her beauty holds in her environment and natives. Fils place was vacation and beach ready (shaka), we barely needed anything from the stores . Fils place was amazing !!! Shoots braddah Fil(shaka)
Jul 27, 2019As others have said Fil's tips are great, embrace his advice and you will find some great hidden areas that you would never find looking on the internet. Be sure to spend some time at the lagoon, if you stay to the left hand side (near the breakwater) it tends to be only 3-5 feet deep. Go north a few miles and you will find some awesome waves to play in, but be sure you are a good swimmer. Down south of the property about 5 miles you will find some great beaches to see the sunset. The only thing I would be somewhat critical of is that the condo can be warm (this is likely just me, I like to sleep cold) but if you open all the windows you can sometimes get a great breeze though the whole condo. I was able to sleep quite well regardless :)
Jun 27, 2019Fil is amazing and his reviews and suggestions were so helpful. He took my associate out for dinner the first night and went above and beyond. You could not ask for a better host! The only down sides were no air conditioning and the location was hard to get to from time to time. However I feel that because of Fils customer service it made the stay that much better!
Jun 27, 2019Fil was an amazing host. he provided us with many local places to visit and we avoided all the touristy locations. Fils place is perfect for couples looking to get away from the busy are of Waikiki. One of the most reasonably priced ocean front condos in Oahu. The kitchen was stocked with all amenities we needed and there were enough towels for us to use at the condo and the beach. close enough to some amazing restaurants and a drug store open late where we found almost everything we needed during our stay.
Jun 27, 2019Fils apartment is perfect! He has everything you could need from snorkeling gear to broom and dustpan,pots and pans, you name it. I felt very welcomed and at home. The balcony gives you amazing views of the ocean while 180 degrees in the bedroom view you have the lush green mountains. Fil was thoughtful and gracious and I will definitely be staying again in future visits! Thank you so much for everything!
