It's a good place to stay, especially for the price. The neighborhood was quaint and felt very safe walking around during the day and night. The subway isn't too far away, so that was pretty sweet as well.

Jun 27, 2019Cozy little place with all your basic amenities. Full kitchenette with a stove/oven, microwave and fridge. Yauheniya is friendly and lives right next door. She'll help settle you in and provide anything you might need to make your stay comfortable! It tends to be a bit loud on weekend nights due to the restaurant located on the ground floor. But if you are not a light sleeper, you should be okay. There are establishments located nearby, including a rite-aid and a pizza shop that are open late. Many bars open for drinks late at night too.
Jun 27, 2019The apartment itself isn't too bad and the location for the purposes of getting a subway and traveling to Manhattan, isn't bad either. Cleanliness could be improved not just of the apartment but also of the building.
Jun 27, 2019There are two positive things about this tiny apartment. 1) It is located close to 3 different subway stops that connect the area to Manhattan in a few minutes. 2) It has a nice double bed and an inflatable mattress next to it. (Very little space) Things that need to be improved: 1) the entrance door and stairs are very dirty. Walls and door need to be painted, and the stairs to be washed and brushed. 2) It is necessary to mention in the listing that the apartment is 2 floors up by foot. Hard to bring up suitcases, and get up and down. Some people cannot do stairs 2) the stove in the tiny kitchenette needs to be cleaned and fixed, or changed all together (the oven doesn't work), 3) it would be good to add some other chairs or stools. There is just one, when the room is supposed to hold 3 people. Otherwise, Yauheniya is a very nice young hostess.

Jun 27, 2019A no-frills place that's exactly WYSIWYG. On the edge of lively Astoria, it's a good spot for those looking to avoid the trappings of touristy-NYC. But it has all that one needs: a bed, a kitchen, a few subway lines on walking distance, loads of bars and shops in the direct vicinity. Jane is very helpful too. Recommended!

Jun 27, 2019We had a great time in Janie's house. The location was the best neighboring 3 subway stations. Despite being older than we thought, we had had no problem in the house. In fact, we had slept so deeply that we enjoyed NYC to the fullest. The host was nice and kind and cared much about us.
Jun 27, 2019Our stay at Yauheniya was great. I liked the studio even more than the photos showed. The communication with her was perfect and she was VERY helpful prior to our arrival and during our stay also. On the other hand, the cleanness of the front could be improved as it was a bit dusty. The location wasn't as I expected but it was good according to the price. The station is only 3 blocks away. There are nice shops in the main avenue. I especially liked one that was 3 blocks away and had bagels. Finally, beware if you're traveling on weekends. The subway services change and it took us a long time to get to Manhattan. Mainly because we got really lost but also because you have to go through a longer route. Anyway it was a really nice stay and we enjoyed it very much.

Jun 27, 2019We had a great time at Yauheniya's place. The apartment is actually biger than we thought and was clean. The only issue is that it is on the 3rd floor, not easy stairs if you have luggage. The neighborhood feels safe and there are lots of restaurants and grocery stores, we would stay there again if we go back to NY. Our host was very helpful with everything we needed and answered our questions quickly but we didn't get to meet her.

Jun 27, 2019Ottimo alloggio per visitare comodamente NY risparmiando! Quartiere molto tranquillo, a due passi da Manhattan, very American people! Comodissimo alla metro, due fermate veramente vicinissime! In 15 min sei in centro! Appartamento molto più silenzioso di quelli che si trovano a Manhattan ovviamente, con tutti i confort necessari! La proprietaria è pronta a rispondere alle tue esigenze in tempi rapidi ed è molto cordiale! Assolutamente da tenere in considerazione! Check in e check out assolutamente flessibili, a noi ha fatto rimanere fino alle sette di sera tranquillamente!

Jun 27, 2019If you're looking to stay in NYC somewhere for a good value this is a great spot. We really just needed somewhere to crash at the end of a few long days of activities so this was great, but we ended up really liking the area- we had some good food, saw some interesting sites, and even saw a stand-up comedy show in Astoria. But since it's right next to a few different subway stations it was easy for us to get to Manhattan and Brooklyn too. Would recommend!

Jun 27, 2019It’s loud from the neighbors (who is also the owner). We could not get a decent night sleep. If you stay up till all hours of the night it will probably work just fine. Perhaps for the younger crowd with different living hours. The unit is clean, good location for getting aroung Astoria and into the City. Owner was prompt in letting us in. The stairs are fine if your are in shape which we are.

Jun 27, 2019Good location in relation to NYC and metro. On the weekends the bar below the apartment has live bands that play until 3-4am. It’s so loud it shakes the apartment. The weekdays are quiet.
Jun 27, 2019Great location - a lot of nice restaurants near-by (try the bareburger next door) and a rather cheap supermarket with a great selection. The hostess was super helpful and easy to reach and she responded really quickly to messages. We had no problems whatsoever and very much enjoyed our stay :)

Jun 27, 2019The studio was clean and quiet. It's well located, only 3 blocks from a subway station and in 30 min you get to Midtown in Manhattan. The neighborhood is nice with plenty of mini markets around and well-lit at night. Yauheniya is kind, she let us check out late because our flight was in the evening and she answered my questions quick.
Jun 27, 2019El apartamento es muy recomendable para visitar Nueva York y evitar los precios de Manhattan. Muy cerca del metro y con corto viaje al centro. Durante los fines de semana es un poco ruidoso y los cerrojos interiores de la puerta dan poca sensación de seguridad aunque no da la impresión de ser un barrio conflictivo. Por lo demás, fenomenal.

Jun 27, 2019Appartement conforme à la description et donc à nos attentes. L'emplacement est très pratique et idéal pour visiter Manhattan (métro direct à moins de 5' à pied). Le quartier est calme et résidentiel. Yauheniya est très réactive (par mails et par sms), elle a été flexible sur notre heure d'arrivée. Prévoyez des boules Quies pour la clim (indispensable l'été). Bref, bon rapport qualité / prix, je recommande !

Jun 27, 2019l'appartement est a 3 rue du métro a 30 min de times square il n'est pas rénové depuis peu la clim est bruyante mais nécessaire le quartier est très sympa le bar à chicha en bas de l'immeuble est top avec un accueil génial! l'appartement est très calme et on entend aucun bruit ! il est très suffisant pour 10 jours à NYC ou l'on y est que pour dormir !!!

Jun 27, 2019The apartment is a very good option since it is very close to the subway station and to Manhattan, the hostess is very kind and attentive. The apartment has all the necessary for a tourism stay. We only had problems with the lock of the entrance , the rest was all good El departamentos es una muy buena opción ya que se encuentra muy cerca de la estación de metro y de Manhattan, la anfitriona es muy amable y atenta . El departamento tiene todas las comodidades necesarias para una estadía de turismo .Sólo tuvimos problemas con la cerradura de la entrada que se trababa, el resto todo bien

Jun 27, 2019Honestly it’s not a renovated apartment. It’s very loud when neighbors walk out of their apartments. You can hear every word spoken in the building. The bath is dirty and the shower isn’t working very well. Actually you have to choose between extrem hot and cold. The location is pretty nice because you have two subways close to the apartment.

Jun 27, 2019We absolutely loved the location and the host was friendly, kind and helpful. We negotiated the 32 narrow, steep stairs (we're in our seventies) just fine. What was problematic was the loud, vibrating drum machine coming from the hookah lounge below on Friday and Saturday night. It was impossible to sleep.
Jun 27, 2019Séjour parfait! Appartement idéalement situé dans un quartier calme et agréable. Boulangerie, pharmacie, supermarché tout se trouve tout près de l’appartement donc c’est vraiment idéal. Le métro est vraiment tout proche et la ligne permet d’aller rapidement à Manhattan (environ 15min) sans changement. Nous recommandons vraiment ce logement où nous sommes restés 9 jours. L’hôte a été très accueillante et surtout très arrangeante, nous sommes arrivés tard et nous sommes repartis également tard et cela n’a pas posé de problème.
