Jun 27, 2019Danielle's place is a wonderful little room for anyone! It was close to all public transportation and restaurants. The room was super clean and very comfortable. A perfect place to stay! I personally took the subway everyday into Manhattan to explore the city even more and although I loved it, I found I loved coming back into the queens because I was welcomed by this little cute house. Definitely would recommend this house for all types of different activities whether it be for business or just to get to know the city, it's definitely a good place to stay!

Jun 27, 2019Location - Less than $4 from Junction Station in Uber pool, $7 direct. 15 minute express train to Grand Central station. $6 Uber to LGA or several local bus stops will get you there within 20 minutes. Perfect location, perfect commute, and great find. Shea Stadium...oh yeah, Citi stadium now is 5-10 minutes away for all you METS fans. House - totally renovated home, gorgeous interior, high-end atmosphere. Home sits in middle of a quiet block. Room - As described but pictures do not do justice for the interior. Really. The room is downstairs along with another room where host stays. Totally private and quiet...perfect for me to work in the room. High-end bedding and everything you need for your stay...even an iron. Wifi was (Website hidden by Airbnb) issues at all. Bathroom - upstairs, small with shower. Again, very nicely updated. Gorgeous home. Overall - highly recommend.

Jun 27, 2019Nicest of 4 rooms I've tried that I consider walkable to LGA, although this one I'd Uber next time as it is a 20 minute brisk walk to Terminal C via 94th St. Bridge. Danielle's place definitely seems more like you are staying with her family in their primary residence since there is no separate (Website hidden by Airbnb) Danielle escorted me in through the living room to the basement stairs, her sweet Mom was cooking a nice meal in the kitchen which is where the downstairs door and guest bathroom both are situated....again a more personal interaction than most AirBnBs but a nice human element. The home is impeccably decorated throughout...very beautiful. The bedroom is the comfiest stay I've had with a small but good quality bed and a ducted a/c unit that cooled it down nicely. Great touches like nice iron/board, snacks/water, maps, etc. Only caveat is that when Danielle puts the adjective "small" in her listing title she isn't being conservative....this room is quite tiny and not a place you can do much than fall into bed, but it's a great cool quiet rest environment! WiFi is very fast....bathroom upstairs is nice but small with no counter space but again lots of nice touches like complimentary soaps, shampoos and even shave cream, aftershave, qtips, etc. In total, Danielle has put much thought and personal pride into this (Website hidden by Airbnb) was by far the nicest quality room and overall home I've tried in the close-to-LGA Astoria listings. If you don't need much room space and just a nice sleep environment, this listing can't be beat!

Jun 27, 2019The whole apartment was absolutely clean and through a number code at the entrance door always accessible. We could use the kitchen as well as the living room. The ride to Manhattan may take 45-60 minutes each way, bus Q49 runs frequently (Q19 less), also through the night. Danielle and her parents were very friendly and I especially liked the presence of the 2 cats and 3 little dogs. Personally I was less happy to have received for my second stay a room without a window (basically for the same price as a room with window), which made me feel a bit claustrophobic. I would have preferred one of the other three rooms having been rented. The Middle East restaurants at Steinway Street in Q are reached within a 10-minute bus ride, so is bustling Flushing. All in all I gladly would like to return to this place.

Jun 27, 2019Danielle's place was very clean and tidy and also home-like. It had all of the amenities one could want. I only got to spend about 7 hours there as I had a delay in transportation, Danielle was easily able to accomodate my very late check in time, which I really appreciated. In the morning I was actually able to walk to LaGuardia and the entrance lead right up to American Airlines gate, which was fantastic! 5/5 for everything and I'd love to stay again!

The location for LaGuardia is amazing. I walked it in just over 15 minutes. Easy access to Manhattan via train or uber. This was a really nice family home and you could tell it was really well looked after. The room was excellent. Would stay again if in NYC.

Jun 27, 2019I chose to book a room with Danielle because of her home's proximity to the airport (very early flight to catch). Danielle was very communicative via email before my arrival, which I greatly appreciated; I didn't end up meeting her in-person though because I arrived late in the evening and left before sunrise the following day. The room I stayed in was cute and clean, but being in the basement and having no air circulation prior to my arrival meant that the room felt stuffy and a little claustrophobic. This didn't really make my stay an unpleasant experience though, as I was only there for a few hours. I would have felt differently had I slept there for multiple nights. Overall, it was not a luxurious stay, but perfect for what I was looking for. If I had another early flight out of LaGuardia in the future, I would consider booking with Danielle again.

Jun 27, 2019I booked sooo last minute due to some unseen circumstances during my stay in New York. Luckily I found this place around 8pm and was allowed to do a late check-in (I arrived around 10pm). The description of the place was spot on and Danielle gave amazing late night check-in directions making everything extremely easy. Although I did not get to meet Danielle personally, her messages were extremely thorough and she even helped me figure out how to use the subway to get to the place. It was quiet, cozy, and everything I needed for one night. I would HIGHLY recommend it. Thanks for the hospitality Danielle! It's possible I might stay again during my next visit!

Jul 27, 2019There were no surprises, and that was a good thin; the accommodations were exactly as described. Danielle was very helpful and timely with her communication. The room is down narrow steps; if you are staying one night, pack a small bag and ask Danielle if you can leave your larger luggage on the main floor. She was kind enough to allow me to drop my luggage and change clothes before check-in time. I would stay at Danielle's again, especially if I needed to be near LGA.
Jun 27, 2019I was just looking for a place to stay close to the USTA tennis center for one night, and Danielle's listing was ideal for it. Perfect for one person. The listing is accurately described on the site. It was very clean and i had everything that i needed. Although the room didn't have a window, Danielle made sure that there was sufficient ventilation and air conditioning. The room is down a narrow staircase, so if you have a large or heavy suitcase, you might want to leave it in the living room above. Danielle took care of every small detail and was very prompt with her replies. The check-in instructions were unambiguous and very easy to follow. My stay was very comfortable and I wouldn't hesitate to come back, if I went visiting the queens area again.

The host and her parents are so sweet and kind, they helped me to dry my shoes, to carry my luggage, provided me cough drugs, they helped me a lot and Danielle's mother is very good at cooking and share me the soup, it's very delicious. Their pets are friendly, quiet and cute. The location is near airport, only took me less than 15minutes to get to the airport by bus plus walking. I would recommend this place to mmy friends and is willing to stay there if I go to NYC next time.

She provides a comfortable bed, very clean, private, and quiet. Big bathroom with all toiletries provided. The AC blows cold! I walked to LaGuardia - very close - 20 minute easy walk. Highly recommend. 5 star.
Jun 27, 2019This is the perfect place to stay when you have an early flight out of LaGuardia. You can take a quick uber with no hassle. I did not get a chance to meet Danielle, but her family greeted me as I entered the house. The process of checking in and figuring everything out was seamless, and she even had candy in the room (and a bottle of water and earplugs). If you have an early flight, don't think twice. Stay here.

Jun 27, 2019This is a perfect little space for independent travelers. It is quite a walk to the nearest subway entrance (may want to take a Uber or Lyft) and pretty far from the tourist stuff. If you're looking to venture out or just a cozy, quiet place to stay, it's perfect! The neighborhood was super safe, very family style. The house is super homie and perfect! Makes you want to buy a house like that lol! P.s for you clean freaks, it was VERY CLEAN. :D

The location—a quiet neighborhood in Queens, with a short and easy walk to the airport—was perfect and very easy to reach with a bus stop right next to the house. The room was warm, cosy and exactly as listed with easy check–in and with all the necessary amenities and more. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating and the communication overall was very quick and through. I would definitely choose Danielle's room again and gladly recommend for other guests as well.

He provided everything you needed(drinking water, air conditioner, chocolate,even floss, first aid, lotion).His house is quite clean,there is a cat and dog inside as well. It is within 10 minutes drive to the airport LGA, 20 minutes walk to the nearest subway station. It is quite as well, you could hardly hear the airplane as well. I recommended this place to people who wants to go to LGA area.

Jun 27, 2019Lovely hosts, lovely place. Room was exactly as pictured, perfect for what you need it for. It felt more like a home than just a place to stay. Is a little hike into Manhattan, but it's very close to public transportation. Bus stop at corner of block takes you to subway, or bus stop a short 4 blocks away to get to LaGuardia makes it very easy to get to where you need to go. Highly recommend this host, and will definitely use again for future trips to NY.

Jun 27, 2019I stayed Danielle'a place for just few hours for my layover flight. It was very close to the Laguardia airport about 10 minuets drive( Taxi $14, Uber $10). It was comfatable to stay the night. There was a cosy bed before the long flight. The room was comfatable, many amenities and clean. I didn't meet Danielle, but she responded quickly and explained how to use, open/lock the door very clearly. I wasn't confused at all!! Thank you very much.

Jun 27, 2019The pictures are accurate. Bathroom on 1st floor & the room is in the basement. I was able to find street parking. The self check in was great because I arrived quite late at night. The room is small but is very clean & nicely decorated. The bed is fine for a 5'7" guy like me but it maybe a bit short for a bigger guy. The bathroom is very clean also. the sink is very tiny though. When I checked in, i encountered 2 cats but they were very quiet. Overall, it was a great place to a short stay for 1 person.

Jun 27, 2019The only minor complaints I would have is the bed was a bit too small for me but I'm a big boy; I think it's a twin and I had to go from the basement to the upper floor to pee at night and I drink a lot of water. However, I think the most important closing statement is in the form of a question -would I stay there again? And, the answer is YES! By the way, only took me 6 minutes to get to LGA from there.

Jun 27, 2019Didn't spend much time with the hosts so can't say much but the space was decent, lots of effort put into making a small space feel bigger. I'm a wide set person but don't require much square footage overall so was a good match for me. Only thing on the wish list that could be done with the space is weather proofing the door. It would keep the hall light out for light sensitive people like me. Also would allow better temperature control inside the room and reduce noise a bit. I didn't find either to be a particular problem though. The footsteps upstairs got obnoxious from time to time but weather proofing wouldn't help there. Overall A+

Jun 27, 2019Great little stay for a night. The room i stayed was small and in the lower ground floor with no windows. The stairs going down the lower ground floor were dark and narrow, any person with mobility issues is likely to have problem going down the stairs. The bathroom/washroom is not on the same floor/level. The room itself was clean with everything provided for a comfortable stay. There are cats and dog kept in the accommodation. I would have liked some friendly interaction with the host, but I guess it was not possible. Over all I would recommend the place for a stay.

The space was cozy and sparkling clean, with the entire house being spotless. You can tell there was a lot of genuine thought and care put into making the stay enjoyable. I will absolutely be back during my regular work travels to NYC. I did not get to meet Danielle, but I know she must be a very positive, caring, detail-oriented person based on my great experience staying at her home.

Jun 27, 2019I stayed at Danielle's place for one very brief night, between a (delayed) incoming flight and an early departing flight. The room is small and very cozy, full of thoughtful touches (Q-tips, first aid kit, hangers, iron and board, phone chargers, even ear buds!), and the bathroom I used was spotless. Also, there are gorgeous cats in the house. :-) Danielle and I did not meet, she was great about sending me detailed check-in instructions and communicating over email. Her home's location is also ideal for anyone traveling to or from LaGuardia airport, you can walk to the terminals.

Jun 27, 2019What can I say about this place? It is clean, it is cozy, it is a home away from home. this place is absolutely amazing especially for the price. Not included in the price are 2 very cute and social cats that you can pet and play with. The shower and bedroom are immaculate and it cannot be stated how just charming and clean it is. I would love to have stayed here more but alas there was only one night available and the location was fairly far away from where I needed to be. But if given the chance I would totally stay here again.

Jun 27, 2019Danielle's place is super clean and cozy. It's in the basement but because she keeps the air condition/air purifier, the air was really fresh. It's about 6-7 min drive to LGA and it's a safe neighbourhood. There's a dog in another room of the same lower level but s/he had been super quiet and friendly. There are another two cats hanging around on the first floor of the house which I met when using the bathroom and they are the most lovely ones. Danielle sent a super detailed instruction beforehead so the check-in and check-out was easy and clear. All in all, five stars in all the perspectives!

Jun 27, 2019The small room was very clean and nicely decorated. Check in and check out were very clear. I would not recommend walking to this place alone from Junction Station (metro) at night (around 20 minutes). It was a little sketchy. However, it was very convenient being able to walk to LGA in the morning (15 minutes) to catch the purple shuttle to my terminal. The cats are very sweet and love to be played with. Danielle was a very good host.

Also, only $10 Uber ride to LGA.

Danielle is a terrific host and communicator and her home is beautiful. Even though it’s listed as being “tiny” I am quite tall and was more than comfortable with the room and the bed. Super close to the airport in a great neighborhood, so very convenient getting to and from with a quick/cheap Uber trip. Sparkling clean and the bed was super comfortable. The space is small but perfect for a solo traveler who intends to spend their time exploring. The room includes towels, q-tips, lotion, tissues, iron/board, hangers, and a super convenient bedside charger that charges all types of phones. There was also a fan and a/c unit in the room that I was glad for, as I like to sleep in the cold. The room is also decorated beautifully, so it felt like staying in a space that was my own. Bonus: there are adorable pups and cats at this house! Would highly recommend this place to the solo traveler and would stay again if I’m in NY again soon!

Included lots of nice touches like hangers to hang coats and bottle of water next to the bed. The WiFi code in the frame is so helpful! The room and the bathroom was super clean, the bed was comfortable for night's sleep. Danielle's parents are super nice, they helped me navigating helping with the transit nearby. All in all it was a great stay. Highly recommended.

Ironing board for uniform, air con appliances to make it a hot or cold as you want and plenty charger space. Was allowed to use fridge/freezer in kitchen for my travel snacks. Will be booking again for next LGA trip.

She’s very quick to respond to questions in the app. The room itself is down some narrow stairs which she warns you about but the room itself is very nice. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to stay for a night or two.

Jun 27, 2019Right off the bat, you get the strong sense that Danielle’s home is full of love and care. As I approached the door outside, a cat came right up to me to greet me. The communication leading up to my stay was thorough and clear. As I walked into the home, I was greeted with a smile and assisted to my room. The bed was very comfortable and the location is very convenient to LGA! Less than a mile away! She has thought out everything one may need and prepared/provided it. A+ stay for the value!
