Thanks for checking my listing!!! Rio de Janeiro is really one of the most beautiful cities in the world. You will stay in a nice and confortable bedroom at the beach's block. This is a 180 m2 apartment, very comfortable and spacious, 24 hs lobby, very near the of the subway and all buses stop; I have a laundry, wireless for internet . It is easy to get in the apartment which is located 4.0 km from Santos Dumont airport (domestic flights) with connecting bus to the International City Airport (20 km) and 7.0 km from the interstate bus terminal. In addition, we are 20 minutes to the Lapa, Rio's bohemian music with various options and restaurants. I speak English, Italian, French and Spanish. You will have everything you need around you here in a safe and honesty place. I have a simpatic little dog, Blue and 2 cats: Branca and Vick. Vick is always sleeping and Branca kidding around the house and we will love to receive you!

Notes
Please, learn with me how to use the gas heater in the bathroom and the stove in the kitchen. Please, bring your personal soap :) You can use the refrigerator to keep some staff fresh, but the kitchen must be used to prepare the breakfast and eat at the dining room. Not allowed to stay in the kitchen. Not allowed to wash clothes at home. Don't burn the house. Don't forget to leave the keys in the room before leaving. If you go to the beach use the service elevator and press SS to get out by the garage. When you come back, please wash the feet with the tap beside the elevator at the garage and go straight to the shower. Never sit wet on the furniture. Never sleep with a coloured foundation in your body. Visitors are welcome but not to sleep. Thank you!
Transit
All transports for everywhere in the city around the corner. From the aiports GIG or Santos Dumont, take a cab from Aerocoop or Aerotaxi. They have to charge you by taximeter and if you ask before at the balcony, you can pay by credit card. Keep the number of the car with you, in case that you forget something inside the car, we can ask for the Cia. Ask for a visit card to the taxidriver and keep it to return and pay R$ 50,00 by promotion.

The apartment and the rooms are huge, and it's very well located (half block away of the beach, and three blocks away of the Metro station). And Ylza is welcoming, warm and always helpful! I would repeat the experience!

Jun 27, 2019ylza is great host. she gave me the best tour of rio with her scooter... i had great time riding scooter around the copa and ipanema. lots of fun. thanks ylza. and she helped me to get my bus ticket to paraty.. the copacabana beach is less than half block away... the house was very big and beautiful. and her dog name " blue " is most sweet friendly dog. he will welcome you as soon as u walk into the house. overall. i enjoyed staying at house of ylza.. And her animals are adorable (especially the cat "black") The apartment is great located, huge and really comfortable. We really fell like at home and we strongly recommend to stay there !

She gave me an amazing ride on her scooter along Copa and (Website hidden by Airbnb) was so much fun! Her little dog and cats are adorable! I will definitely consider staying with her again next time I am in Rio.

Je recommande cette adresse bien située à proximité de la plage ce qui est idéal pour aller prendre un bain dès le matin avant d'aller visiter la ville. Idéal pour aller en métro ou en taxi à Ipanema, Central ou Santa Theresa. Bel appartement, et toujours la conversation et les bons conseils d'Ylsa en Français ou en Anglais sur la ville et le Brésil. Une adresse que nous recommandons à ceux qui ont une semaine pour découvrir en toute quiétude les secrets de cette ville de légende.

I needed a place on short notice and Ylza answered me within a couple of hours - she made my day. I planned to stay for the long weekend, but ended up staying for a week. We had some really good talks, her coffee is great, and she even made me breakfast (which is not included I guess), I really felt like staying at a friends place. One night we went out with her scooter to Ipanema (together with Blue, the dog) - what a fun experience! I could keep on telling how wonderful the stay was, because it really was. Ylza was the first airbnb host for me and an inspiring person, I hope to see her again someday. If you decided to stay here, you will find a very clean room, there is good wifi connection, supermarket (24hrs) around the corner, beach, restaurants - Rio! The room is large and the bathroom is only for guest use.Ylza is a kind host and will make you feel at home. Even if I arrived late in the evening she was at home to welcome me. I was also allowed to leave my luggage until my departure in the late afternoon. Particularly indicated if you like dogs and cats.

The house located in a perfect location just a block away to copacabana beach. Interior of the apartment is so comfortable and spacious, the room and the bed is same also, i higly recommend Yzla and i am so happy to know her. I have a good friend in Rio now.

The appartement is located next to the Copacabana beach, in safe and nice area, perfect location. The apartment is so comfortable and spacious and the room is clean and nice. I have stayed both at a 4 star hotel and at Ylazs-place during my visit i Rio, at any time I will prefere Ylza. Hotels are boring, at Ylzas-place are full of life. If you like cats og one dog you just have to go there….

Jun 27, 2019Our profile: Husband & Wife, age 43, from United States; we stayed the week between Christmas through New Year's Day. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND this apartment and Ylza as a host. We enjoyed our stay completely and would DEFINITELY stay again! Her apartment is VERY clean and VERY secure; locked gated front building entrance with 24 hour doorman, and a lock on your own bedroom door too (but we never even locked our door). Bathroom is very clean and has plenty of hot water for showers. GREAT location! The apartment is in the first block from the beach - VERY close easy walking distance to Copacabana beach! Bus stops and Metro stops are very easy walking distance. Ipanema Beach and Lake also within a little longer walking distance. On Sunday mornings there is a fantastic farmer's market right on Ylza's block at the park. Her dog and cats are loving and sweet. You MUST like animals to stay here - they are very affectionate and want to be with you. We loved that! The only potential negative for someone would be that there is no air conditioning - so if you get hot easily, you will not like that. My husband and I don't mind the heat - we were not uncomfortable. But if you need A/C, this is not the place for you. Travel from the airport to Copacabana in a taxi is approximately $30 - $35USD. Whenever we return to Rio, we will definitely contact Ylza again!

Jun 27, 2019My name is Johann and I am from South Africa and stayed in one of Ylza's rooms in her apartment. It was really very nice to stay in Ylza's apartment. The welcoming at 8 or 9pm was very welcoming. Blue met me outside the front door! For those of you that know him, he is Ylza's little dog - Very friendly. Ylza is an excellent host and we had some great conversations about a variety of topics. The apartment was very spacious and my room was inviting, clean and also cozy. The apartment is very very central - A short 1 minute walk to the beach and about 100 meters to the closest supermarket and bank. There are many supermarkets and banks in the area. Buses are also close by. My favorite restaurant was across the road from the apartment and there are many more. I would like to thank Ylza and her animals (or babies!) for the very good time and experience I had. This is the first time in all my travels in 30 years to many countries that I stayed in a room in an apartment with the host. And all I can say: We are never too old to learn and experience something new. Staying at this apartment is highly recommended! Thanks Ylza and give Blue and the white cat a hug from Johann. Close to the apartment there are many restaurants, supermarkets and shops. And Copacabana beach is only 2 minutes away!! We would like to thank Ylza for the beautiful time we spent there. Jun 27, 2019En voyage pendant quelques mois au Brésil pour un projet documentaire, Ylza a eu la gentillesse de nous accueillir pendant un mois entier ! L'appartement est très bien situé à une minute de la plage !! C'est l'idéal pour un bain ou un jogging matinal. Copacabana n'est plus le quartier glamour qu'il était et il ne faut pas s'y promener à pied la nuit. Mais il y a une borne de taxi juste en bas de l'immeuble donc c'est parfait ! Ylza nous a laissé sa cuisine pour se préparer de bons petits plats (équipements minimum). La chambre était propre et spacieuse, ça nous changeait des pousadas et auberges de jeunesse ! L'appartement a surtout un grand salon et une salle à manger très agréables pour bouquiner ou travailler. Ylza est vraiment adorable et s'est très bien occupée de nous. Un grand merci !! Par contre, attention pour les allergiques, il y a deux adorables chats qui se promènent partout dans l'appartement y compris dans votre chambre et sur la table du petit déjeuner ..

Jun 27, 2019Ylza is a great host, she is warm, fun and energetic. Equally nice are her pets - two cats and one dog, they are friendly and cute. I will certainly miss them. The room itself is comfortable, clean, lightly decorated and spacious. I travel alone, but this room would perfectly accommodate two as well. The location of this house is great too, it is literally 50 meters from the copacabana beach, and is also very close to the main street ( Av. Nossa Senhora de Copacabana) where you will find mostly anything you need, from soco stores to bus stops to supermarkets. Everything is within walking distance and I feel very safe in this neighborhood. I would recommend Ylza's place to anyone looking to stay in Copa. I know she also has some properties in Ipanema, which is a more upscale and less touristy neighborhood, so you may as well check out her other listings.

Jun 27, 2019We had a wonderful stay with Ylza and her adorable dog and cat. The apartment is very spacious and the location is amazing - a stones throw from Copacabana beach. We were also delighted to discover a fresh food market right outside the door on Sunday! Ylza allowed us to have our own space and use the kitchen, laundry and living areas at our leisure. We felt very safe at night in the area. Ylza is an eccentric character who made us feel very welcome. Would definitely recommend a stay here!

We had some neighbours in the appartement, which was fun, although we didn't see them too often. The location of Ylza's appartement is perfect, right at the Copacabana beach, couldn't be better.

The location is the best from everywhere in Copacabana, room quality is exceptional and the service and cares from Ylza are just great. The apartment is extremely safe every time. I've visited some apartments for my friends and this apartment is far above average to compare with them. However the best thing that you will experience is the host. Ylza is just great human being. Jun 27, 2019Me and Victoria spent one week at Ylza's place. The flat is beautiful and pictures reveal exactly how the flat is. The place is very close to Copacabana beach (2 min walking) and full of restaurants, bars, markets, etc. Our bedroom was pretty comfortable, with a big and nice bed. Bathroom was a little bit small, but it was always clean and very well equipped. Living room was big, with 2 nice couches, great illumination and good music. Ylza lives with Vranca and Blu (cat and dog, respectively). Both animals are well domesticated and they were always friendly with us. We encourage to you to visit Ylza at Rio. Jun 27, 2019Minha tia e eu ficamos hospedadas por 8 dias em um quarto na casa da Ylza. Tudo foi maravilhoso, o quarto é muito confortável, grande, muito bem ventilado. O AP dá Ylza é enorme e a decoração é de muito bom gosto. O ambiente é muito limpo. O AP da Ylza está na quadra da praia, da sala podemos admirar a linda praia de Copacabana. A Ylza permitia que usássemos a cozinha para fazer café e lanches, nos sentimos em casa e ganhamos uma grande amiga no Rio. Indico e com certeza voltaremos. A Ylza é uma pessoa espetacular muito inteligente, fala vários idiomas e nos auxiliava em tudo que precisávamos. No último dia nosso voo era tarde, a Ylza permitiu que deixássemos a bagagem casa dela até chegar nosso horário, ficamos muito agradecidas pela flexibilidade. Enfim, Ylza! Jun 27, 2019I have spent 2 amazing weeks at Ylza’s. Her place is in a safe area, very clean, calm and spacious, and just steps away from the beach. She is such a lovely and charismatic person, always happy to give you tips or tell about the history of Rio. Her two pets are absolutely adorable but if you’re not that into animals you probably won’t even notice them, since they are very quiet and always following Ylza around. It was an overall great experience and i can’t wait to go back.

Ylza es muy atenta, respondió rápido todas mis consultas. El lugar es muy lindo, limpio y cómodo. Además tiene unas mascotas encantadoras!! Súper recomendable ;)
Jun 27, 2019Me sentí muito segura na localização do ap. Ela tem um cachorro e um gato muito fofos e muito tranquilos!!! O quarto eh privado, mas tem outros quartos que tb tem hóspedes, e o banheiro eh compartilhado. Estava todo muito limpo e ainda que não tivesse ar condicionado, o ventilador dava conta do calor.

Me senti a vontade e As acomodações são ótimas, a decoração é cuidadosa. É muito bem localizada, com ótima segurança, os porteiros e os vizinhos são corteses e contribuíram para que me sentisse bem vinda no local. Foram dias ótimos.
