Glebe is an early and original inner city suburb off Sydney dating from the 1800's. It is marked by terraces and workers cottages. It has a mix of people from students - for the nearby University of Sydney - to those renting to owners of all walks of life. Its closeness to the city but without the business of a city is its attraction.

There is no off street parking. Streets in the area and in the Glebe suburb are mostly restricted parking of 2 to 4 hours between the hours of 8am to 6 to 10 pm each day. Visitor parking permits are available allowing daily parking in any Glebe suburb restricted parking streets where the parking signs exempt Area G permits - which is streets around the house and in almost all other streets of Glebe. The upstairs rooms are accessed by stairs. The stairs are like usual stairs in Sydney terraces. The stairs are carpeted with a hand rail. Some may find the stairs "steep". Some one with a physical impairment, or of some age with physical limitations, may have difficulty negotiating the stairs. The stairs are shown in photos of the house. Two bedrooms are on the ground level on the house so those who may not be able to use the stairs will have unimpeded use to these rooms.

Buses regularly connect to the city and suburbs along Glebe Point Road. Times between buses is 10 to 20 minutes. The Light Rail, nearby, regularly connects to the city and Central Railway Station which has a direct train connection to the domestic and international airports. The Light Rail runs every 10 minutes in peak hours and 20 minutes at other times.

The house has a rear courtyard and pond sheltered by a large tree, which allows for outside meeting and eating. The kitchen has a Miele electric oven, a gas 4 plate stove and a dishwasher.
