Neighborhood Overview
Our home is located on a quiet residential street in an ethnically diverse neighborhood. There isn't much in the way of entertainment but there are lots of places to eat, a laundromat 1 block away and some historical stuff you can check out in the nearby college. Some nearby sights: Gould Library and Hall of Great Americans @ Bronx Community College High Bridge Edgar Allan Poe Cottage Little Italy on Arthur Ave

IMPORTANT: Please do not use our address to receive mail (we cannot guarantee delivery). UPS delivers packages to a UPS Access point near our home: UPS Access Point El Economico 99 Cents Multi 137 W Burnside Ave, Bronx, NY 10453 Closes at 8:00 PM We offer starter towels and bed sheets as a courtesy but we do not change them every day due to limited resources. If you will arrive before check-in or arrive really late please let us know since we are not always home and we want to make sure someone is around to receive you.
Transit
The 4 train is about 10 min walking distance stop is BURNSIDE AVE. D train is about 17 min walking distance TREMONT AVE. The Bx3 which goes to Washington Heights is a couple blocks away. The walk from the train is generally not problematic but is somewhat uphill on way to house. Parking is on the street and can be difficult to find at night. Average distance from tourist destinations (including 10 min walk). Washington Heights- 15 min MET Museum- 35 minutes (Train) Grand Central Terminal - 35-40 minutes (Train) Times Square- 45-50 minutes (Train) Union Square -14th St- 1 hour (Train)

Jul 27, 2019My stay at this place was very brief, but Since I live in the neighborhood, I’m already familiar with the area, place is conveniently located in a quiet space in the Bronx, very centric, with easy access to transportation, and Near by Hospitals(for students). I think anyone would love the space, very homey and spacious, theres lots of amazing restaurants and points-of-interest within walking distance. Carmen was very welcoming, as well as Rossy and Juan, it was a pleasure meeting all of you. I will definitely recommend this cute spot to anybody Best regards,

Jun 27, 2019Suite à une annulation, j'ai du trouver une nouvelle chambre, moins d'une semaine avant Noël et le hasard faisant bien les choses, je rois que je n'aurais pas pu mieux tomber. Rossy et Juan (Je n'ai pas eu l'occasion de vraiment voir Carmen) sont très attentionnés, agréables et tiennent parfaitement leurs chambres d'hôtes. Les chambres sont propres, le wifi excellent, la salle de bain assez spacieuse et entretenue etc. Bien qu'assez loin des points touristiques de New York, cela reste bien situé car le métro proche de la chambre dessert la majorité des points essentiels de manhattan et de brooklyn, ce qui permet un gain de temps très apprécié dans une si grande ville. Je reviendrais sans hésiter si l'occasion se présente !

Cada cuarto tiene su llave y el baño muy limpio, la habitación tiene calefacción y la presión de agua es excelente tanto agua fría y caliente. Rosy y Carmen nos dejaron un pequeño botiquín con cosas de aseo personal como jabón, sanitizante de manos y espuma de afeitar. Agua fría caliente para tomar y una cafetera. Nos sentimos muy cómodos.
Jun 27, 2019We loved to stay in this house. It's a quite neighborhood, full of stores, restaurants and markets, really close to the station and It's a stop that has express trains. We took just 20 minutes to the midtown. We highly recommend it. The restroom is clean every day and there is mineral water, cold and hot. The shower was the best that we have at Airbnb. Thank you Carmen for all assistance and care.

Jul 27, 2019It was really nice staying. Room is bright, cozy and tidy. It’s easy to get to center by subway. Rossy was very kind, she answered all our questions, and gave us all phone contacts in the case we need any help, and it was easy to check-in and check-out. Near the house there is a good supermarket, some small shops work till late night.
Jun 27, 2019This place is a great deal if you’re on a budget looking to travel in NYC. It’s only an hour out from the city by sub, and the subway station is walking distance. For this price, you really can’t beat it. The place is clean and quiet. Although I wouldn’t walk alone at night.
Jun 27, 2019Quaint and cozy home within a very vibrant yet safe Bronx neighborhood. Everything you could possibly need for the duration of your stay was within walking distance. Rossy was so welcoming and hospitable from the moment we checked in and always willing to guide us through some of the city’s many features if asked. I highly recommend this home for any one visiting the NYC area.

Jun 27, 2019It was a warm welcome at our arrival. All was arranged for a very wellness stay in the house, for example water for refill, koffee, refrigerator, mikrowave... All is very well prepared for a self organized stay in the nice flowerfull dekorated room.

Jun 27, 2019Great communication from the host, easy to get into NYC and easy to find. We had some issues with locking doors which was resolved. Please note that there are four rooms rented out and only one bathroom and toilet, we found these facilities were not cleaned during our five day stay.

Jun 27, 2019It was my first experience getting an Airbnb and I would like to say that I was pleasantly surprised. The room was clean and so was the bathroom, the locks on the doors gave us the security we needed for our first out of state trip alone, and the area holds many interesting places. It took us about 40 minutes to get to downtown with all the stops, but riding the subway was a pleasant experience especially because on the way there we rode past Yankee Stadium. To be quite honest, we had a pleasant stay here with no problems! We got a set of keys that held a key for the front door, the door to get into the upstairs of the home, and to get into our room so we had no difficulty with feeling safe. The hosts were so so helpful and kind which made us feel great considering we are just a couple of young people exploring a big city. I recommend this place if you are looking for an affordable place to rest your head at night!!
Jun 27, 2019Place is good value considering the price & location. Location is in a lively and safe neighbourhood with many shops near the subway station. Communication with host was good, Rossy is a very attentionate host. The place is about 10mins from subway station on foot and about 30mins additional travel time to midtown, so location is quite good.
Jun 27, 2019This place is awesome! The whole upstairs is private from the owners and it’s like a mini hotel. You share a bathroom with a few other guests but we never had any issues. Everyone was so nice and respectful. Check in and check out prices was so easy, the hosts were incredible and location was so nice and easy walk to the subway with tons of food options on the way. We are really happy with our stay there!

Jun 27, 2019Las sábanas de la cama estaban limpias al igual que las toallas y tenían un olor muy rico, hubo mucha privacidad y se pudo descansar muy bien. El barrio no es muy bonito/seguro, sin embargo nunca tuvimos ningún problema, se recomienda el tránsito rápido y precavido. El metro está cerca y se dura 45 min para llegar al centro de la ciudad. En general la pasamos muy bien. Gracias, ¡pura vida!
