Gurpreet was very accommodating and went out of his way to make sure my stay was good. The place is very clean and newly renovated and is a steal for the price. I would highly recommend staying here if you ever need a place to stay.
Jun 27, 2019Singh's place is sooo beautiful. It's my ideal home, dark hardwood floors, A/C in the rooms, nice and clean bathroom with toiletries provided. Singh was very attentive, asking if I was happy and comfortable every time our paths crossed. I felt quite safe and rested comfortably. The neighborhood has a wonderful East and West Indian community with lots of authentic restaurants nearby. The area is near an automotive district so there aren't tons of bars and clubs, but still plenty to do. The buses and trains are very near so get a metro card and have a blast. JFK is less than 10 minutes away, it was a $13 Lyft ride.

Jun 27, 2019Gurpreet and family are all wonderful and respectful of your privacy. I had a flight delay that pushed my check in past midnight, they did not make me feel like a burden nor had any issue with this, a very very clean home in a good neighborhood.
Jun 27, 2019The host was extremely nice to us, and his willingness to help us with any questions we had made the stay easier and convenient. The check in time and the check out time was flexible, the public transportation was near by the place so it was nice moving around even when we didn't have a car with us. I would definitely visit here again when I visit NYC.

Jun 27, 2019다음날 아침비행기로 출국이라 공항에서 가까운 숙소찾다가 예약했어요. 저렴한 가격에도 불구하고 너무 친절하게 대해주시고 답변도 빨라서 완전 편하게 지냈어요. 체크인도 바로 하구요. 자메이카 역에서 내려서 24번 버스타고 가면 숙소 바로 앞 정류장에서 내릴 수 있어요. 대신 버스비는 메트로카드로 내거나 동전으로만 낼 수 있어서 미리 준비해가시구요. 달러는 안된다고 하더라구요. 심플한 방에 에어컨 빵빵하고 화장실 깔끔해서 혼자 하루 편하게 쉬다왔네요!! 동네도 예뻐요 ㅋㅋ 다음날 자메이카역 가는 정류장도 알려줘서 완전 편하게 도착했어요. 밤비행기로 도착한 분들이나 다음날 공항갈 일 있는 분들은 정말 편하게 이용하실 수 있을 거예요! 추천드립니다. I'm really appreciate Gurpreet and her children, especially her son. He really helped me a lot! he welcomed me as i arrived for check in and gave me lots of information that i asked for. Gurpreet's house is really easy to get to the airport bc it's close to the Jamaica station. you can take a bus #24 in front of the Jamaica station to get to the Gurpreet's place and get back to the Jamaica station. The place is really clean, neat and comfy. Towel is provided. Wifi and Air conditioner were perfect. They are all so kind and helpful! I Highly recommended!

Jun 27, 2019Gurpreet was a very professional and caring host. He treated me like family and was very prompt with answering my questions via Airbnb and later through texting. Incredibly flexible with my requests and always ready to help. I booked the room only for 2 nights. But after I checked out in the morning, a situation arose and at 10 pm on the 3rd night I realized I needed a place to stay. I texted Gurpreet first and he came through for me which was a blessing. The really surprising thing was he made room for me on the fly just to help me out! I really really appreciated that gesture cuz he'd just met me 2 days back! I didn't take any pictures of the place because he did not exaggerate at all! What you see in those pictures is what you'll get. Extremely clean and comfortable private room. Bathroom was impeccably clean throughout my stay. I'd recommend this place for everyone!

Jun 27, 2019The Host was extremely cordial and gracious. I felt really great in this space because they treated me the way I would treat any guest in my own home. The host was quick in communicating with me and helped me with my suitcase when I checked in. The house was clean and there is an iron and blow dryer in every room. The host asked me if there was anything else I needed; and made arrangements for me to use a blender for my smoothies this was really kind and courteous. The towels were soooo fluffy and smelled so clean as did the sheets; there is lots of space to hang clothes . I experienced an elevated level of service and hospitality; just the way I would treat someone in my own home. I can't say enough about how positive my experience was I highly recommend this place and this host. The entire family made me fell comfortable and at ease. Thank you Gurpreet and family for making my stay great! Namaste
Jun 27, 2019Gurpreet communicated very well. I asked if I could check in later than I originally had asked and it was no problem. I was welcomed by who i think was the son, either way he was very sweet. Ne told me everything i needed to know and offered me water (on a very hot humid day where i was exhausted and extremly hot) which i appreciate. He was very polite. I was checked on via text to make sure i was ok and if i needed anything. The room is exactly as shown and very clean along with the bathroom. Good price and nice stay.

Jun 27, 2019I had a pleasant stay at Gurpreet's family's place. Communication was efficient, and Singh was very polite and attentive. The room is quiet and well equipped. The whole premises are recently renovated, and spotlessly clean and tidy (including the bathroom). Many Indian restaurants nearby (which to my regret I didn't have a chance to try!). The place itself however is not so well situated when having to move within the boroughs, as it quite far from any subway station. Also, I had some inconvenience with bathroom availability, as it was shared by guests occupying three different rooms.

Jun 27, 2019Die Unterkunft war so wie ich es erwartet hatte: sauber, geräumig und schön eingerichtet. Man braucht mit der U-Bahn zwar 45 Minuten bis Downtown Mannhatten, aber die U-Bahnstation ist zu Fuß nur 10-15 Minuten weit entfert. Auch die nähere Umgebung ist praktisch: es gibt indische Restaurants, eine Pizzeria, eine Tankstelle und ein Kiosk nur wenige Meter entfernt. Ich wurde nett begrüßt und bekam sogar ein frisches Handtuch und eine Flasche Wasser. Insgesamt bin ich sehr zufrieden, besonders für den Preis!
Jun 27, 2019I only spent one night at Gurpreet's place, but it was very comfortable and easy to reach. I checked in a bit late, around 11:00 PM, but the host was still up and opened the door for me. It was perfect for my overnight stay in New York

Jun 27, 2019My overall experience was really great. The location is great for the LaGuardia airport. Check in was smooth. The shared bathroom was very clean. I really liked my room except one thing - I did not expect to sleep on a mattress covered by plastic. But the host explained to me that it was to protect the guest and the host from bedbugs.

Jun 27, 2019Needed a room to sleep off a long day of flying. This place was easy to find, clean and comfortable. There are plenty of NYC food options right in the area. There is even a 24/7 diner on the E/F train stop at Kew Gardens where you take the bus from the apartment to get to a subway. The hospitality was 5 stars! Will stay again.

Jun 27, 2019convenience store and restaurant within walking distance. bus stop to JFK airport is just few minutes away too. takes 45 minutes to get to Manhattan with bus and metro. Generally quiet environment. Expect to hear a little noise(footsteps etc) from other rooms and living area. the bathroom and toilet is clean. I was asked to wash away the hair in the bathtub after shower if there is any. Also have to wipe the floor with toilet paper if there is any stain of water. Host kindly accommodates my earlier check in time. 430pm instead of 6pm.

Jun 27, 2019Great place to crash after 20+ hours of travel and a late arrival. Very clean and quiet, and the location is very convenient -- 15 min drive from JFK and < 10 min walk to the A train. I really appreciate the easy, late check-in! My two qualms: 1) there is a really crinkly plastic wrapper on the mattress, which I found a bit annoying, and this can be easily fixed. Ultimately I slept fine, but I'm a good sleeper. Since this bothered even me, I can imagine it being problematic for people who can have trouble falling asleep. 2) from the reviews, I thought I would be staying with a family. But I arrived to an extremely sparsely furnished apartment with a few young guys in it, seemingly a hostel of sorts? This is totally fine, but not what I was expecting, which was a little jarring.

Jun 27, 2019It is such a clean place that you can stay comfortably. Gurpreet and her family are well communicated with the guests and willing to help. The location is at a quiet neighborhood so that I had a good rest for three nights. Bus stations are around the corners. This was my happy choice.

Jun 27, 2019My 1 night stay here went very well - no complaints! I aimed for the 6:00pm check in, but after getting caught up in sightseeing, didn't arrive til closer to 7:00pm. The host was understanding and did not mind. Communicated well and replied quickly. When I got there, the teenage son let me in and showed me my room, which was clean, had my towel for a shower, and a bottle of water as well. The bathroom was also in good condition. I accidentally went over my 9:00am check out the following morning, as I had some alarm/daylight savings time confusion...but the host was again understanding, and messaged me ahead of time to remind me of check out (this is when I realized my phone was still 1 hour behind). I apologized and headed on out. Their home is less than a 1 minute walk from buses that will take you where you need to go in NYC, whether it be connecting to subway or airports. I would definitely stay again again recommend this place to others!
Jun 27, 2019Great hospitality, clean. I had a short stay (a night) but it was welcoming. Good location with easy access to public transportation and to JFK airport. Because of a bad weather, I used Mr. Singh's ride service and he was very thoughtful and considerate. He made a stop at a local phone shop before home and I was able to purchase a sim card. This saved me a lot of time. The room and a bathroom were super clean. I started my day with a good wish from him for my job interview. I will definitely revisit the place if I need to stay close to JFK.

Jun 27, 2019I gave her a last minute notice about my late arrival and was checked in around midnight, but her son waited for me. The next day, after check out, they let me waited inside the living room until my pick up came since it was very cold and windy outside. The place is very clean, comfortable and most important is she always respond right away whenever I sent her messages, even when it was in the midnight. I definitely will stay again and recommend Gurpreet’s place!

And wonderful location if you are going to JFK/Brooklyn/beach areas; very close to bus stations; walkable to Train J or A (and i felt safe walking back from Train A at night; about 12 mins walk). Lastly, it was great to meet Gurpreet Singh and his son; I had a very pleasant stay and experience! :)

Jun 27, 2019For the money you pay, it is somewhat reasonable. However, there could be more effort put into cleanliness. Floors has hair in the corners, the desk was not wiped properly and also had hair in the drawer where the remote for the air conditioning is. That walls and light switches have clearly not been wiped for a while.

Jun 27, 2019Gurpreet's family was extremely welcoming and friendly to me, and very responsive in communication. The bedroom and bathroom were kept extremely clean, and there is even a desk in the bedroom in case you need to get work done on the computer. If you are traveling by yourself, this place is a great value option for your stay, as long as you are comfortable navigating NYC public transportation. I would not recommend this place for couples, as the room has a twin bed. Also, if you want to spend most of your time in Manhattan, I would suggest finding some place closer, as it takes about an hour to travel by bus/subway to get to manhattan from here. The ad lists this location as being 15 minutes away from Laguardia airport (LGA), but that's not entirely true. If you're taking public transportation it's about an hour from LGA. Even if you use an Uber ($20-$30 fare), the only way you can make it in 15 minutes is if you don't hit any traffic. It's closer to a 30 minute drive than 15. If you're traveling on a budget, this is a fine option with some wonderful people hosting your stay.

Apartment is located 1 minute from bus station at which you can take one bus and be at JFK. Highly recommended. But checkout very early (9am). If I were in New York I’d probably rent this place again.
