Please pay attention to these simple rules to make life better in our flat ; 1. Please ask permission of your current (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) to invite more than 1-2 guests of yours, especially at late hours. Please do not invite dozens of people without asking other people, if you're in urge to do that, please do it with the permission of others at reasonable hours. 2. Please lock the flat door while you're leaving, also please keep your rooms locked when you're away to prevent any problematic situation. 3. Please pay attention to prevent loud noise after 23.00, there are lots of other people in the building who are waking up early and local people in nearby apartments as well. 4. Please do not smoke in the living room, if you're a smoker please try to choose your own room to smoke. Also please do not throw cigarettes into the garden. 5. 2 times per month a cleaning lady comes to clean the entire flat, but please be helpful to your (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) about cleaning of sha

I just booked a room for a night, before taking my flight. So I can't fully describe Dama's House. However, I can say Ali is a very very nice guy, he welcomed me very well. The room was clean, small but pretty and well arranged. Idem for the bathroom. About the location, it's nearby Karakoy's port (from there, you can go to Uskudar etc.) and nearby Istikal, a famous shopping street going to Taksim (a center place to take a bus and to go to the airport for example). Finally I can recommend Ali and Dama's House ;)
Jun 27, 2019I stayed two terrific nights at Dama's House. It is in a wonderful location with shops and transportation in close proximity. The common spaces (i.e. sitting room, kitchen and bathroom) of the house were clean, and my private room was larger than I expected. Access to the washing machine was a very helpful amenity.

Jun 27, 2019Dama's House is the perfect location if you want to discover Istanbul on your holidays or if you are there for Erasmus studies. The neighbourhood is really safe and central and the room is clean. But most of all, Ali is a great host who is helpful no matter what you need: a cab, recommendations for food and drinks, just anything!
Jun 27, 2019I stayed for 4 weeks in the Gray Room in Dama's House and loved this place. The flat is very central (next street to Istiklal Caddesi), very clean and comfortable. Ali was was a great and cooperative host. Thank you very much!! :)
Jun 27, 2019Ali was very communicative before I arrived in Istanbul, gave very clear directions to the apartment, and was welcoming and accessible throughout my stay. The room itself--the grey room--was simple and lovely, in an apartment ideally located in Beyoglu within easy walking distance of everything I needed. Perfect. Ali also arranged reliable early morning transport to Ataturk airport for me on the day of my departure. It was a really great place to stay, private and simple and friendly. Strongly recommended.

Jun 27, 2019Ali was a great host. Very friendly and helpful. I stayed a week in the Grey Room. After a warm welcome, Ali gave me a street map of Istanbul and a nice present. The Location is just two minutes away from Istiklal Cad., very cool! Thank you Ali, for sharing your place.
Jun 27, 2019Ali was a great host, so welcoming and helpful, he will make you feel at home. he is ready to help in any situation, I had an argument with the taxi driver who was taking me to Ali's place and even before I meet with Ali in person, I called him to talk to the driver in Turkish since the communications in English was useless, Ali was ready to help and he solved the problem with the Taxi driver. For the room its good size room, I had a stay in the Indian room as well, You will met nice people in Ali's apartment, the diversity of the guests will leave a great chance for a culture-exchange, and if you're planing to stay for a long period of time, there will be a possibility of making good friends. Location is just perfect, 3 minutes walking up the hill to Istiklal Street where you can see the Turkish modern lifestyle surrounded by historical buildings and unique gift boutiques, live music, good food and the best part is Galatasary tower just 7 minutes walking . I also liked the fact that the building has elevator so you don't have to worry about lefting your luggage! I definitely recommend Ali's place and the best thing about it is Ali himself.
Jun 27, 2019I had a very good experience at Dama house during my holidays in Istanbul. It's very central and that allowed me to walk to almost everywhere. The house is in a quiet street and it has all the facilities, also Ali has been always very quick replying to any questions and very easy person to deal with. I will definitely stay again there in my next trip to Istanbul.
Jun 27, 2019Ali was great and met me even though I arrived a few hours later than expected. The room was just as advertised. The other guests seemed very nice though I didn't have much of a chance to get to know them. The location is excellent, near the Shish-hane Metro stop, at one end of Istiklal, the pedestrian mall that leads to Taksim Square, full of boutiques, restaurants, buskers, and the world's most flamboyant ice-cream merchant. Be aware, however, that the neighborhood is full of very steep hills--I brought only sneakers and my feet suffered.
Jun 27, 2019Ali fue un excelente anfitrión; me brindó la información necesaria antes de mi viaje para evitar contratiempos y durante mi estadía siempre estuvo disponible, sin importar la hora, para orientarme y ayudarme a vivir una experiencia maravillosa en Estambul. Su buena disposición superó mis expectativas. El alojamiento es muy agradable y cómodo, es evidente el esmero de Ali por garantizar el confort de los huéspedes, está equipado con todo lo necesario para llevar la vida cotidiana como en casa y se nota que hace renovaciones permanentemente para que todo esté en muy buen estado. Con una excelente ubicación, situado a dos minutos de la avenida Istiklal esta cerca de todo; en mi caso hice buena parte de las visitas desplazándome a pie. Para ir a otros lugares de interés, la estación del metro y de tramway están igualmente muy cerca, llegar a Santa Sofía o la mezquita azul toma sólo unos 15 minutos. Las noches en el barrio Beyoglu son simplemente fantásticas, restaurantes, bares, cafés, centros comerciales, espectáculos callejeros, etc. me sentí en el corazón de Estambul. Así mismo, Ali selecciona cuidadosamente sus huéspedes permitiendo disfrutar de una agradable compañía. Sin duda Ali contribuyó a que mi primera visita a esta bella ciudad fuera inolvidable.
Jun 27, 2019The Grey room is a quite small room in a very nice in a very nice location right next to Istiklal. I had a very good time sharing the flat with some nice people from all over the world, mostly also "longstayers". Ali was great and allways reachable when needed. The flat was clean and in a good condition. Absolutly nothing to complain about.
Jun 27, 2019Ali was great from day one - gave me all the information and help I could've possibly wanted and welcomed me personally to the flat. He even went the extra step to ask me whether I needed anything on my day of departure such as a taxi to the airport. The room is just as described and perfect for a single person travelling for a short period of time. What made the experience especially special was meeting the other young people living in the flat who were great and with whom I had a fab weekend!

He also provided all necessary information to comfortably arrive to the house. I had a specific request that involved me not being there all nights and he was very open to make the situation fit to my needs. I would definitely come back to him and his place.

Jun 27, 2019The room is in a central but quiet place close to Sishane Metro station where you can reach several points of interest from. Ali is a helpful host welcoming you even in the late hours. He provides you with water (drinking tap water is not recommended) towels and soap.
Jun 27, 2019Это была моя первая поездка в Стамбул, очень переживала за то, как все пройдет. Как оказалось, мои волнения были напрасны: Али замечательный хозяин, подробно ответил на все мои вопросы, объяснил как добраться от аэропорта до квартиры, без проблем встретил меня в 02:00 (я прилетела поздно ночью). Моя комната оказалась маленькой, но уютной с красивым окошком, выходящим в небольшой зеленый сад. Что касается удобств, то здесь достаточно скромно, но есть все необходимое: хорошее соотношение цены и качества. Сама квартира находится в очень хорошем месте: это небольшая спокойная улица всего в 2 минутах ходьбы от улицы Истикляль, где расположено великое множество магазинов, кафе и ресторанов на любой вкус и кошелек. Рядом метро и остановки общественного транспорта. Также неподалеку находится Галатская башня, музеи, рыбный рынок, можно легко добраться до района Фатих (пешком через Галатский мост всего за 15-20 минут). Мои соседи оказались очень приветливыми, дружелюбными и позитивными ребятами, мне было легко и приятно общаться в ними, даже не смотря на мой ужаснейший английский)) Подводя итог, хочу сказать, что моя поездка удалась на все 500%, и выбор данного места сыграл немаловажную роль: здесь можно с головой окунуться в атмосферу удивительного Стамбула, забыть о том, что ты турист и просто наслаждаться этим великолепным городом. Уже задумалась о моей следующей поездке в Стамбул! Огромное спасибо, Али! Больше гостей и больше друзей в твоем доме :)

While it may be cliche to say that he responds to 'everything' Ali really cares about his tenants/clients and responds to everything in a very timely and immediate fashion. Ali is always happy to help with anything. The location I stayed at was really cleanly kept, rules were fair and clear, and the price point is unbeatable for the location! I strongly, strongly recommend Ali!
