Close to the beach, to town, and to the various highways to get to other sides of the island make this an awesome landing pad for your adventures! There is ample street parking in front of the house. You have your own guest wing. It includes a bedroom and master bathroom. You have a tv with roku as well as a mini fridge. The guest space is separated from the rest of the house by a locked door with NO access for us to you and you to us, but the backyard is a shared area to enjoy. I work full time. With the guest wing tucked away, you can have as little interaction as desired when here, though I'm available to answer

Notes
We have well behaved cats and (non shedding) dogs. They are not allowed in the guest wing to reduce any allergies people may have, but otherwise have free roam of the main house. If you choose to use the back yard, you will likely interact with the friendly dogs!
Transit
I recommend car or motorized bike. We have ample street parking. Apparently the bus system is excellent here, and there are stops at the bottom and top of the street, but as I have never used it, I cannot attest to it!

Aloha! No shoes in the house. Please close all doors behind you as this is Hawaii and we like to keep the wildlife outside. Feel free to use the AC when home, but it is hawaii and resources are scarce, so please turn off ac and all lights when you leave for the day!

Amylynne was an extremely gracious and wonderful host. We enjoyed our time at her beautiful home immensely. We needed to extend our stay and she was extremely helpful and understanding as this was our first time using this service. Highly, highly recommend Amylynn's house for your stay!!

Jun 27, 2019Amylynne and her home were perfect. When I arrived, I was greeted by Christina for check in and a cocktail. The place is beautiful, clean and peaceful. My hosts gave me space but where friendly and informative when I wanted to interact. I was looking for a place to have some solitude and a bath (baths are my favorite). This place did not disappoint. The bathroom was luxurious, and the tub has jets! The bed was firm and comfortable. The decor was minimalist which is what my cluttered mind needed. The garden was lovely. I enjoyed my meals on the lawn listening to the birds. I had such a wonderful time; I hope to return again. Thanks Amylynne and Christina!

Jun 27, 2019This was a perfect fit for me. The location was easy to find in a nice quiet neighborhood in Kailua and just a short drive to the beach and airport. The room was very clean and comfortable with a great private bath. The entry was private and easy to access. I found it very easy to come and go throughout my day between activities. No crowds, no noise, easy communication and surrounded by beauty! Just what I needed!
Jun 27, 2019I didn't like the place. The bed is not comfortable because the slatted fram is not good at all, you can hear everything from above like steps, shower and talks. There's is no chair. The bathroom is bigger than everyting else. If your are open the frontdoor you're standing 10 cm next to the toilet and that isn't a joke. Amylynne doesn't like to talk to you. She prefers sending txtmessage. The dogs are going crazy when you going in or out to your unit. No metter if you're trying to be silent as much as you can.
Jun 27, 2019Wir hatten eine tolle Zeit. Alles war sehr unkompliziert auch unsere späte Anreise war kein Problem und mit dem Late-Checkout konnten wir den Tag noch für eine Wanderung nutzen. Ohne Mietauto ist es glaub schwierig - aber das braucht man meiner Meinung eh. Die Wohngegend ist ruhig und wirkt sehr einladend. Restaurants, Tankstelle, Shops, Strände und Wanderwege sind in wenigen Fahrminuten zu erreichen. Sehr schöne dort. :)

Jun 27, 2019Absolutely one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Hawai’i! I was born and raised on the island and I have to say that this home is in one of the best kept areas. Easy access to anywhere you wanna venture to but secluded enough to have a bit of privacy away from the hustle and bustle. Super clean, the bathroom is awesome and the tub has (Website hidden by Airbnb) amazing, compact refrigerator/freezer in room, flat screen TV with Netflix etc, mirrored full size closet with hangers, the whole place is either laminate or tile flooring so it’s easy to cleanup if you happen to track a little bit of sand inside, the bed is new and it was perfect for us (not too soft), the AC is fantastic and super quiet with a remote control, Kailua Beach Park and Lanikai Beach are close and great for relaxing! Lots of places to eat in the area, grocery stores close by and I can’t forget to mention Starbucks for coffee lovers, if you don’t wanna leave to get coffee a Keurig is provided with k-cups and assorted tea as well, laundromat nearby and you will be blown away by its cleanliness, ample parking on the street is an understatement we never had a problem and I promise you, anywhere else would likely be an issue, you will be greeted at the top of the stairs by their doggies saying hello from behind the glass/screen door to the main house but you won’t hear them any other time and their cats, well they’re cats, you won’t hear them or even see them most days if you go to Waikiki Beach (20 minutes away) park at the Zoo and walk across the street it’s $1 an hour but parking is scarce in waikiki so it’s your best bet. I know this was long and super detailed but I want everyone to know how much we enjoyed our 5 days here. Finally, Amylynne and Christina are awesome hosts and we would highly recommend staying here and hope to return someday
Jun 27, 2019Beautiful neighborhood. Really quick drive to the beach. It was super easy check in and out with the key pad. Very nice private space was perfect for our stay as we had to book last min. Our hosts were very responsive and welcoming they even let us check out late since we had an evening outgoing flight. We didn't spend too much time in the room but the backyard was so pretty we would have loved to hang there and just take in the view.
Jun 27, 2019Quaint private space in beautiful Kailua. Only min from the beach and Kailua town. Perfect location. You have all the necessities without the hassle of a hotel. Parking is plentiful. Backyard is serene. We loved our stay and hope to visit again soon. Amylynne is very fast at responding and checking in.
Jun 27, 2019Amylynne’s felt like a secret tropical hideaway :) Even though it was close to everything! The space is not only stylish and cute, but is private and right next to her gorgeous backyard. There’s an awesome walk in shower next to a lovely bathtub, a kurig for fresh morning coffee, and a roku already setup with Netflix for movie nights. The mini fridge made grabbing and keeping snacks super easy and I especially loved that it had a freezer section. Our stay was peaceful and relaxing, and the amenities helped us feel right at home. Amylynne is an exceptional host. Her thoughtfulness and speedy response time made everything about our experience simple to setup and pleasurable. Mahalo for a wonderful stay Amylynne!

Jun 27, 2019Great place to stay! Was super clean and Amylynne got back to every single text we had immediately. Anything we needed, she had. Was very quiet at night and dogs only barked when prompted. Would stay here again for sure. Great backroom. There is a mini fridge and also a keurig for coffee in the morning.
Jun 27, 2019We had a great experience at Amylynne's. The space is clean and beautiful with lots of great amenities. My favorite is the Keurig coffee machine: it allows me to get out in the morning without having to stop by a coffee shop; a great time saver. We are really impressed by Amylynne's attention to details: there is sunscreen and aloe lotion for us to use, there are extra pillows in the closet, there are beach amenities we can borrow. Will definitely stay with Amylynne again when we return to Oahu.

Jun 27, 2019We had a lovely stay in Kailua! Amylynne was great with communication and helping us find spots to eat. Kono’s was one of the restaurants we went to and it was SO yummy - highly recommend their Chun’s bomber! The location of the Airbnb was great and super close to Lanikai Beach! Overall our experience was awesome and we’d definitely stay there again!
