Hi, welcome to the Mansion of Heroes! I am Bruno and this is a beautiful, restored, old house of Porto that is now a Guesthouse/Restaurant with amazing homemade food and special drinks! The house has 7 cozy rooms very pleasant to stay for some nights, relaxing, or having fun. Come to meet us! :) The rooms and the house itself are very cozy and confrotable. The house it's in front of the Metro and Bus station (Heroismo) that goes directly to the beach, or the airport, and 15min walking to downtown our 5min by public transportation. The restaurant it's only open from 12 to 15 and from 19 to 22.30 The Restaurant/Bar area it's a area to enjoy our services and to try our great cuisine of our awesome chefs! Just try it ;) There are supermarkets nearby and almost everything that is needed. It's a Cultural area, called Bonfim (Good End) and lot's of people are coming to here to live and to enjoy the area. Tudo ok. O quarto que ficamos tinha as janelas voltadas para a rua e logo cedo havia bastante barulho dos ônibus de transporte público. O hostel é muito bem localizado. Anfitriões simpáticos. Estávamos em 3 adultos e 2 crianças e o quarto era amplo e nos acomodou confortavelmente.
Jun 27, 2019This was a great place to stay on short notice. We fit 7 people into the room with space to spare. It is right a across from the metro which is very convenient. Underneath the apartment was a quaint and tasty bakery, which was a nice place to have breakfast. The street that the apartment is on however, gets very loud at night. But other than that it was a very nice place.
Jun 27, 2019La chambre est grande et nickel pour 5 personnes. Comme il fait frais à Porto le soir, la nuit était très agréable pour dormir en plein mois d'août. L'hébergeur Dan est sympathique et nous a fait visiter les lieux de l'appartement à notre arrivée.

Jun 27, 2019Fabulous place to stay, couldn't recommend it more! Management are a fantastic group of people who take pride in their accomodation and want to make it the best stay for their guests. Great bedrooms and communal area/kitchen, exceptionally clean at all times! Will be returning for sure.

Jun 27, 2019The place was lovely. It was perfect for my 3 friends and I who were travelling around Porto. It is situated directly opposite to the metro which takes you directly to the airport. The place was clean and as described.

Jun 27, 2019We enjoyed staying at this house in Porto. There are many rooms in the house and many people were staying for the weekend. Overall, clean and comfortable. The only problem we had is there were not enough bed linens for the first night. I sent a message to the hosts, and the room was well equipped by the time we returned the next day

Jun 27, 2019Deberian poner mantas o edredon y cambiar la ubicacion de la cama poner almohadas en el sentido contrario ya que de la puerta entra mucho frio. Y en mi opinion a las 12 se deberia de apaga la luz de la entrada la tuvimos encendida toda la noche nos entraba la luz en la habitacion y no pudimos descansar bien y no nos quedamos la segunda noche porque hace muchísimo frío.
Jun 27, 2019Great place. We stayed with family of four with two kids 5 and 6. Apartment big enough, clean, nicely equiped. Parking for free in the neighbouring street, metro in front of the place and on foot barely 15min. to the historical center. The landlords were really nice people, friendly, young, easygoing. Nothing but recommend!
Jun 27, 2019This a great place because of the people who run it. They are all such nice and calm people, available to help you with anything. They were ok with me leaving my bag there for a few hours after the check out which was very helpful. The house is super clean and good location.

Jun 27, 2019Esta bien ubicado porque enfrente esta la estación del metro, esta a unas cuadras del centro, amplias habitaciones. Aunque el contactar con el anfitrión era un poco complejo, debido a que le cuesta hablar Español, y en su sitio web menciona que domina el Español.

Jun 27, 2019Abbiamo prenotato solo una notte ed è stato più che sufficiente. Cose positive: vicinissimo alla metro fermata Heroismo (attraversi la strada e c'è la fermata della metro, passano molte linee che portano a Trindad dove puoi cambiare per andare in centro), stanza per 5 economica, poi si trova sopra a una pasticceria-panificio molto buona e con buoni prezzi, infine abbiamo potuto lasciare la camera all'orario che volevamo. Cose negative: non c'è il citofono e il campanello sulla strada non funziona per cui per contattare l'host bisogna solo inviare i messaggi per farsi aprire. Entrando c'è un "profumino" di cucinato 24 ore su 24, la camera non è per niente profumata, anzi..., così anche le lenzuola e le asciugamani. I letti non sono fatti, c'è solo il lenzuolo di sotto mentre quello di sopra e le coperte (piuttosto vecchie e polverose, una sporca) sono appoggiati. C'è solo un asciugamano a testa. In bagno non c'è sapone per le mani, bagnoschiuma e shampoo lasciati probabilmente degli ospiti precedenti. La cosa più grave è che la porta della nostra stanza non si poteva chiudere a chiave perché non c'era la chiave. L'host (di poche parole) non aveva neanche una cartina da darci. Gli infissi sono scorrevoli e fanno entrare aria. Ultima cosa: il WiFi non era sufficientemente potente da funzionare.
Jun 27, 2019Hicimos una reserva en esta habitación para alojarnos el mismo día. Tuvimos un problema de comunicación y no fueron nada accesibles con la hora de llegada, por lo que no pudimos alojarnos en la habitación aún cuando estaba todo pago.
Jun 27, 2019Very nice place to stay, a good value for your money. The location is about a 20 minute walk to the center which is not bad at all. There's good restaurants near by and the hosts are very kind and accommodating. My only issues were that the wifi was slow and did not reach our room well, but Bruno said they were fixing that so it should be resolved soon. Cool looking rooms with various card games and toys which were fun to play around with!

Jun 27, 2019The place is marvellous! Big bedrooms with double bunk beds, big windows and funky bed linen. 25 minute walk from the centre but right oposite a metro stop and plenty of free parking if you have a car. Lovely bakery just below for breakfast!!

Jun 27, 2019Repetiría sin duda. Sitio bien comunicado por metro, no muy lejos del centro. Precio inmejorable. La habitación bien cuidada, limpia, amplia y luminosa. El dueño (Bruno) fue muy atento, divertido y proactivo en cuanto actividades. En general, experiencia óptima.
Jun 27, 2019입구가 바뀌어있어서 조금 헤맸지만, 숙소에 들어가는 순간부터 좋았어요. 방도 사진과 정말 똑같아서 놀랐고 화장실도 한개가 아니라서 기다릴 걱정은 없었어요. 숙소에서 머문 시간이 짧아서 아쉬워요.
Jun 27, 2019Very comfortable house with a well equipped kitchen if one wants to cook :) the neighborhood is calm and easily reachable from the airport / the inner city. Bruno was very helpful and friendly even recommended us a place to eat. We would definitely come back :)

Jun 27, 2019Bruno's place is great! It may not be what you expect (good or bad), but the rooms are very nice with cool common spaces. If you like hostels this is a great place for you! The staff are very friendly, especially Bruno! He is very welcoming and a nice person. They welcomed us with open arms, gave us tips, and even welcomed us to a get-together! Concerning the place: the beds were comfortable, the rooms can get very warm, the showers were very hot too :), vegetarians will love the kitchen, it is right next to a metro stop, and not a too far walk from main sights. We had a great time and would recommend this place to others.

Jun 27, 2019The room is very comfortable and very big, we spent 3 days there and it was great. What was so appreciated is the kitchen so clean and how it was nice to cook as there are many supermarket in the area, everything cooking thing is available. The atmosphere of the house was very nice. It is so close to the centre and to a adorable pastry shop with home made food (in the same street). Getting and leaving was simple as we were received by a very nice lady who explained it all and we could leave our luggage after checking out. We had only some trouble with the WiFi and the room was quite cold but the rest makes up for it! Thank you so much, I recommend it.

Jun 27, 2019Świetna lokalizacja — 10 minut spaceru od dworca, pół godziny spaceru od centrum miasta, ponadto bezpośrednio pod wyjściem z mieszkania znajduje się stacja metra. W bezpośredniej okolicy znajdują się kawiarnie i lokalne restauracje, gdzie zjedliśmy naprawdę smaczne jedzenie. Niedaleko pralnia i supermarket dla osób, które wolą opcje budżetowe. Pokój i całość mieszkania utrzymana w nienagannej czystości, wszystkie podstawowe rzeczy takie jak ręczniki, szampony itp. zapewnione. Obsługa bardzo miła i komunikatywna. I to wszystko w bardzo niskiej cenie! Naprawdę polecam!!!
Jun 27, 2019The place is right in front of the Heroísmo metro station. The room was spacious, clean, and enough for four people. Bathroom is shared with other guests, hostel style. It can be quite noisy at night because of the traffic. However, it’s still a good place to stay.

Jun 27, 2019Bruno is such a nice host and was very accommodating. It was a bit disappointing and unnerving that we couldn't lock our room and didn't have a safe to put valuables but Bruno was very reassuring and it sounded like they are working on getting a lock. The room itself is nice, it was just quite loud next to the road and the stairway next to the room is loud with the other guests going up and down the stairs. It's great that there's a metro stop right across the street, very convenient!
Jun 27, 2019Lieu bien situé (on fait tout à pieds dans Porto, et le métro est en face), avec de quoi cuisiner et un Lidl à 300m. Chambre spacieuse pour 4, très haute de plafond. Supers lieux communs : baignoire, patio, lorgne avec échiquier... et pas du tout bruyant le soir si on veut dormir.

Jun 27, 2019We booked the large room which is very comfortable. The apartment is spacious, with several kitchens and bathrooms. We were welcomed by Sara who was very kind and helpful. Just around the corner, there is a lovely bakery where you will certainly enjoy having breakfast every day.

Jun 27, 2019I really enjoyed staying at Bruno's place. If you don't mind walking 15 minutes to the center or taking metro for 2 stops and prefer to interact with locals and not live in touristic area, this is perfect spot for you. Quick response time and earlier check-in time made it for us very easy. If you stay here, I recommend getting a room without a window to the street, it was pretty noisy during the whole day. My only complain is Wi-Fi signal didn't reach our room without leaving our door open and even than it was very weak.
Jun 27, 2019We had the suite room whice could fit 8 person, there was 3 double bed plus sofa bed. And the room so spacious, clean and nice. And there is also vegetarian kitchen, which is perfect for vegetarians!
Jun 27, 2019Ótima localização e atendimento...tudo estava como descrito no anuncio e as respostas as minhas mensagens foram muito rápidas! O único de salientar é que tem poucos duches para o numero de pessoas que consegue ter a casa, mas com um pouco de consideração entre os hospedes nas horas pico de tomar banho tudo corre de maravilha :D Com certeza um lugar a considerar sempre para ficar!

Jun 27, 2019Excelente ambiente, informal, sem o ser em demasia. Casa com uma decoração com muito bom gosto, com peças antigas, bem recuperadas. Talvez menos aconselhável a pessoas com mobilidade reduzida, não obstante existirem também quartos no piso térreo. Ótima relação preço/qualidade. Simpatia inexcedível de ambos anfitriões.

Jun 27, 2019Familia con tres niñas, pasamos una noche. Fácil de localizar. Ubicación ideal, con boca de metro al lado y 25 min andando al centro. La habitación con tres camas muy grandes. Baños a compartir limpios. Fácil aparcamiento fuera de zona azul, en calle paralela. Si tengo que decir un pero, para la gente que le moleste, se oye mucho el ruido de los coches en la calle, al menos en la habitación que ocupamos .

Jun 27, 2019We spend 3 perfect days in Porto. The best in this room: the subway station in front of the flat, the bakery just next door, the very big room for 4 people. The less: the street is a little noisy. We recommend this nice place. Thanks for all !

The room is well located, 20 minutes away from the center by feet and very close to a nice bakery where you can take your breakfast. The tapas bar had a very nice deco and the veggie food is really good! I recommend this place!

Jun 27, 2019Es un alojamiento lindo y cómodo (si te toca el cuarto grande) a un buen precio. La cocina es bonita y siempre estuvo limpia y ordenada. En general la limpieza es buena. Los únicos inconvenientes son el frío (en invierno) porque había pocas cobijas para el frío que hacía en las noches, y la falta de baños para la cantidad de huéspedes porque los baños y las duchas están juntos y algunas veces tuvimos que esperar bastante para ducharnos o para ir al baño. Es un buen lugar sobre todo para jóvenes. Para familias no está tan mal pero no es un lugar ideal. El ruido de la gente que come y bebe en la cocina en la madrugada puede ser bastante molesto, ya que la cocina se encuentra al lado de los cuartos del piso de arriba.
