Very cute place and totally clean. In really good location too. I booked pretty last minute but for what was available this was by far the best place for the price. Host was really nice and accommodating as well.

Jun 27, 2019Alex an was awesome host! The location of the bnb was sooo close to Penn and the hustle and bustle of the area, yet inside it was so calm and quiet. She was super helpful about check-in, made sure we were comfortable while we were there and very kind. Overall good experience. Will stay here again.

Jun 27, 2019Alex’s place is a pretty good find. Bed was comfortable, living room space was very cozy, and the space felt perfect for us two. My favorite thing about this listing though is the host - Alex was extremely responsive and proactive. She coordinated a toilet repair, informed us of the time of repair, and was even able to schedule it while we were away. Check-in/out was extremely detailed and smooth, and she was very prompt to answer the few questions we did have. Will definitely consider staying here again!

Jun 27, 2019The location was great. The bed was comfortable. The decor was cute. But there is a reason why there's no picture of the bathroom. Mold. We even bought a new shower curtain for the apartment since the old one was COMPLETELY covered in mold spores. That still did not address the lack of cleanliness nor the mold smell. Even just taking a shower in that bathroom would make my eyes burn. I did not consider it safe for habitation. We were extremely disappointed with our stay.
Jun 27, 2019Check-in and check-out was easy via KeyCafe. Apartment was as described, with a generous amount of space given the location. Parking was easier than expected--there are several streets within a few blocks with parking. Public transit is very accessible, and there are plenty of fun things to do within several blocks. Alex's place is an excellent value! I'd definitely stay here again if I was coming to Manhattan.
Jun 27, 2019Needed a cute little place to stay for a night when there was a show at Madison square. Alex had everything needed for our night and she is so sweet and chill I was such a mess when I accidentally left my stuff in the apartment but she stayed calm and professional! The bed was preeeetty comfy. Totally recommend, the rooftop was a plus. Definitely book this place if you’re gonna see a show or something at Madison square it’s walkable and it’s literally right there!

Jun 27, 2019This place was great! Fun neighborhood right by everything that was on the "to see" list. A short walk to HK, the Penn Station if you want to get somewhere, and less busy than other places I've stayed in Manhattan. The apartment is super cute and has a great outside porch. Everything to make your stay feel like home. Alex laid out the instructions and was a great host! Definitely feel good when booking this stay.
Jun 27, 2019Be aware. This Chelsea location is convenient to get just about anywhere in Manhattan, close to subway, restaurants, and shopping. I loved Biricchino, the District Social wine bar and Gardenia Deli. However, it is important to know what you're getting with Alex's place. This is an Airbnb where the homeowner's personal belongings are still in place and no closet space is available for guests. The rooftop wasn't quite what I envisioned either. Not a place for watching sunsets. There were complications with wifi, no wifi information was initially left, but Alex was supportive and eventually available to resolve this. An acceptable experience and a comfortable bed, though not a choice for clean freaks with high expectations.

Jun 27, 2019Convenient location, very close to Penn Station. Basic NYC apt, not too fancy, basic amenities. Bathroom is pretty cramped but that’s typical for the city. Overall happy with our stay, would recommend to anyone looking to be very close to subway, midtown, etc.

Jun 27, 2019Alex’s place was as pictured. Small but very conveniently located for all things to see and do nyc. Alex provided very clear instructions on how to collect the keys and access the apartment. The communication was very prompt and accommodated us checking out later which allowed us to see more of the local area before heading to the airport. The apartment is an older style and is not a modern like a hotel. We are happy with that and enjoyed our stay! Thanks Alex

Jun 27, 2019Apartment was okay, basic and functional but if, like us, you just wanted somewhere well located to put your head down at the end of a long day it was more than adequate. Very close to Penn Station/MSG, short walk to the Highline and plenty of nearby metro options. Hassle free communication with host and good instructions for key pick up and departure. Thanks

En cuanto al aspecto es mejorable, lo peor para mí ha sido el baño y el rooftop que no salen en las fotos. La entrada al apartamento tampoco es muy agradable. Muy bueno el sistema de entrega y recogida de llaves, me resultó muy cómodo.

Jun 27, 2019Location location location! This is a great spot, you forget you’re in the middle of NYC when you go back to the apartment. No noise pollution. We don’t like to live out of a suitcase and there was nowhere to store clothes so had to have them in a pile on the floor which isn’t ideal but we managed. Sofa much smaller than what’s on the pics but we didn’t spend much time in the apartment to be honest and used it mainly for a place to crash. Issue with ventilation but there is aircon and a fan provided. Netflix is great for any nights you want to relax before bed and we loved the style of the living room/kitchen area.

Jun 27, 2019For the price, it was a good deal. **Please note that this is not a rental unit used specifically for Air B&B. ** This is a unit where the host still has there personal belongings. So there is not that much storage and you will find things belonging to the host. The living room furniture was different than pictured but over all, the apartment was in a centralized location.

Jun 27, 2019Location for the house is perfect. We liked the little cozy place in the heart of newyork a lot. The problem we faced was the mugs in the kitchen were having some dirty stains, there were no toiletries for ex: no body wash, shampoo bottle was already empty etc. and the third thing was that living room furniture is different than what shown in pictures. Besides this we had wonderful time here and Alex was very proactive and accommodating.

Jun 27, 2019This apartment did not work out for our stay, for both preventable and unavoidable reasons. The building is just very old. For example, the radiator was insanely loud every time it came on, to the point that it woke us up at night. However, it was impossible not to use it because there was a gap between the window and A/C unit, and a lot of air came in (one day had a low of 4 degrees while we were in NYC). Another issue was the kitchen. While there is technically a sink/stove/oven/fridge, there weren't the necessary tools to do any cooking (cutting board, knives, pots, cooking sheets, etc). Part of the reason we wanted to book an Airbnb instead of a hotel was specifically for the use of a kitchen. Other than those two major issues, there were a few other, smaller things: the bathroom smelled horrible, like vomit, when we first arrived (though the smell did mostly dissipate), the couch is different from the one in the pictures and much smaller, the bedsheets were very cheap and almost plastic-y/slippery feeling, the cabinets were disorganized and messy, and the place generally felt a bit unclean. I will say that the location is amazing (though not the exact entrance to the apartment, which is a graffitied door next to a Dunkin Donuts and adult DVD store). I do think this would work fine for any one who's just looking for a place to crash for a night or two in the heart of Manhattan.

Jun 27, 2019The apartment is in a very central location with easy access to everything. The subway station was no more than a 5 minute walk! Any issues or concerns we had, Alex was easy to reach and quick to respond!

Her apartment is very well situated and within walking distance from time square, restaurants and Broadway plays. We felt safe walking everywhere. The apartment is a nice size and the bed is very comfortable. It was clean but could use a little freshening up. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Jun 27, 2019Great location, spacious apartment and a very friendly host. Alex was fast to reply to all of our questions and needs. The house in general is a little noisy (you can hear the people walking around upstairs and the heater is loud) so if you're a light sleeper this might not be for you.
