Neighborhood Overview
The apartment is in a very convenient location within walking distance to Kingsford's many restaurants and cafes. South Juniors Club and its restaurants, gym, pool and entertainment facilities is directly across the road. University of NSW and NIDA are within walking distance (15-20 minutes). Randwick’s vibrant shopping precinct surrounded by an array of high street shops, boutiques, cafes and restaurants is also very close and easy to get to by either a longer walk, or short bus ride. This also applies to the Spot precinct with its Ritz cinema and Maroubra junction shopping precinct. A direct short bus ride to Royal Randwick Racecourse, three major hospitals, Allianz Stadium, Sydney Cricket Ground, Coogee and Maroubra Beaches and Westfield Eastgardens shopping centre
Notes
The apartment is fully self contained and there are no shared spaces, it is however at the front (attached) to the main house where the hosts live. This is a pet friendly property. The owners cat has a tendency to visit if windows are open, for this reason it is not suitable for people with pet related allergies.
Transit
Public transport is easy with Kingsford Five Ways just a short walk away with its many buses going frequently in many directions. If driving off street parking is easy during the day, or a space can be made available on the driveway in front of the house.

This was a great space. The host was responsive, friendly and extremely hospitable. A short walk to places like Dan Murphy's, cafes and lots of cheap and cheerful restaurants. Close to public transport (30 minutes from CBD), and 15 minutes by Uber to CBD, Newtown and most of the iconic beaches (Bondi, Coogee etc.) The dogs also had a blast! Great value for money. Would definitely stay here again!
Jun 27, 2019Nice and spacious BnB with a very nice, spacious sunny terrasse. Near to the airport, Maroubra and Cogee beaches. 35 min with the bus to the CBD. Although it's near to the airport and you can see a lot of airplanes, it is not too noisy. Attentive and nice host. I would certainly recommend it to my friends.
Jun 27, 2019Good communication & friendly host. Apartment is in good proximity to the city and sights. Very easy to get around if you have a car, with the host allowing you to park out the front for free. The apartment had everything we needed but unfortunately needed a thorough clean. With a good clean this apartment would be a great place to Base yourself whilst exploring Sydney.

Jun 27, 2019Agata is a great host. She was here everytime we needed her. The apartment is very well located and easy to reach thanks to the bus. In addition the apartment was very well equipped. We would have liked to have a vacuum cleaner for more cleanliness but we do not regret our choice. I highly recommend Agata's apartment.

Jun 27, 2019Posto fantastico per chi viaggia , chi Cerca una vera casa. Comodo, pulito, molto famigliare. Agata e Jason sempre la pronti per dare una mano in qualsiasi momento. Posizione no ne centrale, ma con centinaia di pullman si muove bene dappertutto. Questa zona “Asiatica” come negozi e locali maggior parte ci sono solo loro. 4 banche 2 minuti da casa. Centro circa 20 min in pullman. Le spiagge 15, 20 ,30 minuti: scegli dove vai ogni giorno ( una nuova).Aeroporto vicino( ma nessun fastidio ,o rumore forte) . Letto comodo , tutto molto bello. Gatto e cane sono simpatici. Grazie Agata e Jason per tutto! Sono stata bene ! Nataliya

Jun 27, 2019Exactly as described. Great location and value especially if you need access to UNSW/NIDA. Was very close to lots of yummy Asian eateries that I didn’t have a chance to explore but looked fabulous. The hosts were lovely and good communicators, but happy to leave this introvert alone as well.

Jun 27, 2019Agata's place was very nice and cozy. It had its own private entrance and we were able to use a parking spot in the driveway. We visited Sydney in the winter, so the temperatures were a bit cool, but there was a little electric heater that was sufficient to keep us warm. We also appreciated the nice roomy bath tub which can be very convenient after a cool day outside. The kitchen provided everything we needed. Agata even left a tube of Vegemite in the kitchen cabinet, so guests can try this Australian speciality even if they are afraid to buy the whole thing for themselves. We would definitely recommend this place!

Jun 27, 2019Agata was very responsive and provided all info we needed about access to / getting settled into the unit both ahead of our stay and during it. The unit was basic however had everything we needed for our trip to Sydney, since we didn’t spend a lot of time at the unit. We had clean towels and sheets provided, and the bathroom had everything we needed. It was clean but it was an older unit, which I think people can sometimes mistake for dirty (based on previous reviews I read). We were able to park our car on one half of the shared driveway, being sure to leave the other half of the driveway for Agata and her family to access their garage + home (which backs into to the unit and the garage provides their access to their home). There was also street parking though. We had a brief interaction with Agata and her family by chance as we were heading out one day, which was very pleasant. Agata was very kind and hospitable, however was sure not to be a presence during our stay. Since our stay fell on a warm time of the year, it did get quite hot inside in the afternoon and evening. There is no air con, just a pedestal fan which was in the bedroom. Which could be moved about if you needed it in the lounge room. However I feel in summer it would get super hot inside. Our two dogs felt right at home there - there is a good outdoor space perfect for dogs (secure gate and fences, small grass patches with trees, and a large secure deck area). There is also a park about a 10 minute walk away from the unit which was great!! Thank you for welcoming us and our two dogs into your home Agata. We had a great trip and appreciated the convenient location & solid base for our time in Sydney.

Jun 27, 2019I stayed at Agata’s place for the first three weeks after I moved to Sydney, and I absolutely loved the apartment. It’s a self-contained apartment with a private entrance and a wonderful patio, which is particularly delightful during the Australian summer. The place felt very much like home right away, and it’s close to buses and local shops and restaurants. Buses take less than 30 minutes to the beach and the city, and UNSW and Randwick village are both within walking distance. The bed is comfortable and the TV has Netflix, while both the kitchen and bathroom is equipped with all the basics (such as shampoo, soap, toothpaste, essential toiletries, washing powder, milk, oil, salt, pepper, etc.). Agata was a fabulous host: she was quick to respond to requests (such as replacing the bug spray when it ran out), and kindly received some mail for me too. I couldn’t have wished for a better place to start off my time in Sydney, and I highly recommend Agata’s place!

Jun 27, 2019There were very nice amenities, and it also felt like a really safe and secure place to stay. Agata has thought of everything you need for an extended stay. We made all breakfasts, lunches and even some suppers at home and we had every kitchen amenity that we needed. The community has great coffee shops, a grocery, excellent bakery, liquor store all within a 15 minute walk to UNSW campus. This apartment is EXCELLENT for visiting scholars to UNSW and I strongly recommend it. The wifi is excellent and if any problems come up, Agata responds quickly to help. The great outdoor space is a huge plus and the privacy of the unit makes you feel like you have your own home. It is close to multiple public transit stops to get you where you need to go, and a nice 30 minute walk to the beach. We were visited by a few spiders and beetles, but once again Agata responded quickly to help and had left bug spray in the unit to handle any unwanted guests. I would happily return to Agata's unit for a repeat visit to the university.
